Fabulous branch of Coffee #1, with fast, friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. The coffee is top notch and there’s the option chai and matcha lattes. Cakes and light lunches are decent standard. Best of all, it’s dog friendly and they even provide doggy biscuits to help your patient pooch settle. Recommended

Went here as I was in the area, it was 11.50am and they had no food, when asked if they had anymore they said no, what kind of management has no food before the lunchtime rush?? Went to Keynsham coffee number 1 which had everything, Fishponds need to learn lessons

Visited 4pm 18th July 2024. Ordered large latte. Served by two red haired women. Absolutely awful burnt taste coffee with a 'couldn't be bothered attitude'. Asked to make it again and the 2nd one came out even worse (watery). I just left it to that..

Good coffee, make sure to get the house coffee. Great pastries (well priced and tasty). Awesome ambience and atmosphere. Dog treats available for dogs (or their owners if they so prefer). Friendly staff. Awesome tables, good for working. Not too noisy.

Used to be my favourite coffee shop. The customer service is now so poor - no smiles, servers don’t acknowledge you when you get to the ordering area, shout out your order rather than bring it to you when there’s two servers and their just chatting to each other. Such a shame as is a big place. No longer competitive to newer coffee shops on the high street but could be easily rectified with some customer training from managers.

This is my go-to local coffee shop. The place is really nice and tidy, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The coffee is good here, as well as the food. The staff are very friendly.

Only went it for a coffee to be fair but it was the worst I ever had. All I ordered was a simple americano. Was so sickly sweet as if someone put loads of sugar in there. Didn’t even taste of coffee at all. No pleasant aroma either. Don’t think I’ll be having their coffee again.

Friendly staff and usually very decent service. Good range of drinks and food both hot and cold. Plenty of baby high chairs and a mix of seating. Overall a good experience

Ordered an Americano with hot milk. When I tasted it I took it back as it tasted like it had sugar in it. I was told by the server it was the blend but she offered to prepare another. As I believed her I thought a replacement was pointless. As I got down to the last inch of coffee it got sweeter. I touched the inside of the cup and my fingers came away sticky. There had obviously been sugar in the cup. The server said no sugar had been added at the counter, therefore I can only guess the sugar was already in the cup. I questioned if it had been washed properly, and was told it was a clean cup. Magic cups then!

Adore the coffee from here. Always get the dark roast and never fails to give that beautiful caffeine hit. Everyone I've bought cakes for also say how good they are (not a cake person myself so haven't tried). Good loyalty scheme too and discount for filling own cup.

I was a regular in here but lately each time I go there service is so slow i end up was walking out! Today I was only one waoting to b served and yet two girks behind till looked at me and went back to chatting among themselves so i walked out again! I was gonna dine in as food is ok and coffee is great tasting but being ignored isnt exactly a way 2 encourage customers to stay, especially as tgere are plenty of other places 2 choose from 😉!

Great coffee and service. My only slight niggle is that a few tables needed to be cleared and it was quite dark and dingy.

Nice coffee but if you're looking for a quick cuppa this is not the place. Even when there's no queue the speed of the people behind the counter is infuriatingly slow.

Really nice coffee shop. You would think that not enjoying coffee would hamper my experience but they offer a nice variety of other hot and cold beverages like hot chocolate. The cakes are nice as well, I enjoyed a summer fruit mascarpone tart. A regular haunt for a babychino or hot chocolate or a coffee if you want to go to the dark side.

When I visited the shop was only accepting card (not an issue for me). Was served quickly by friendly staff and my coconut milk latte was lovely.

My go to place after Eastville parkrun on a Saturday. Don't even need to order as the lovely girl knows my order. Great atmosphere, plenty of room, great coffee and tea cakes. Obviously friendly staff

The atmosphere there is really nice including the playlist they have and the staff is very polite and helpful, however for me it's a bit pricey, but once in a while it's fine. Also they have wifi, but for some reason it didn't work on my laptop, only my phone.

Usual good quality food and service, but it's a bit dark and shabby inside, especially towards the back of the premises. Not really a place is go for a treat. I'd prefer a better environment.

I have grown to like Coffee#1. However, BEWARE. If you ever have a complaint don't bother writing to them - they ignore you as you never get a response!

Marvellous alternatives offered for those who don't like or can't have coffee. My friend loves the Guatemalan coffee they serve too. And the staff are friendly and approachable.

Nice and lively cafe. Quick service and makes for a good workspace if you don't mind a little background noise. Will definitely come back in the future 😊

Have been a long time customer of Coffee #1 Fishponds, but feel it has gone down hill since Franco left. There were only 2 staff in today; the lad with the tattoos was really trying, but the blonde girl looked like she couldn't care less. She was texting while steaming the milk and only looked up once the milk overflowed onto the counter. Then she only filled one of the coffee's 2/3rds because she didn't have enough milk. Shame because it is usually a great coffee shop.

Was in Fishponds with half an our to kill and Artisan Coffee seems nit to exist here, so I tried Coffee#1. Its nice enough inside, corporate shabby etc and unfortunately the Cortado I ordered wasn't great, scalding Hot and no flavour apart from Bitterness...Poor.......

Love Coffee#1, not a chain I'd come across before as I think it's a more southern thing but definitely better than the other high street coffee chain cafés in my opinion. Coffee is better, menu choices are great and the cakes are amazing. Like actual proper fresh patisserie cakes. Dog friendly too which I love, so many aren't, but if your out for a walk and fancy meeting someone you don't need to sit and freeze outside. Always cool, funky decor and friendly staff. My #1 choice when going out for coffee now.

Not great experience today. Had to explain why adding sugar to cold milk doesn't work because it won't dissolve ( for my iced coffee). Lad behind the counter seemed to find my request hilarious then served me a drink with undissolved sugar in it

This is a nice small chain of coffee shops. High quality coffee and nice food. Only downside is that their large coffee is still quite small. Food and drink is reasonably priced and the decor of the venue is rather nice. Staff are friendly and get through the line quickly.

The coffee is always 50% foam even when it's not coffee for example the matcha or cinnamon apple and any special blends always have sand in the bottom as they're never stirred. Go to the kingfisher up the road by the co-op its much better.

A bit gutted there was no picture of me on the wall. Great coffee shop great staff.

Great paninis, really fast friendly service too

Coffee #1 is a great place for light bites, cakes and hot drinks. There are tables big enough for families as well as smaller ones. My granddaughter enjoys coming here, especially for the croissants and mini donuts. It's also a place where I feel at ease coming on my own. Service is efficient and friendly.

Clean homely atmosphere, great coffee

Although the coffee is always good, some of the new staff need some training in customer service. While waiting for my coffee to be made the two ladies serving preferred to chat to each other and one was even drinking her own coffee, instead of engaging with both myself and another customer that was waiting. I have been coming to this coffee shop since the day it opened and was always impressed by the warm greetings of the staff, but in the last couple of months, this has certainly been lacking amongst several of the new staff.

Great chicken and pesto panni. Choice of coffee beans! Staff happy to add ice to an espresso on a very hot day - surprising how many coffee places on the UK are unhappy about.

I like coming and spending time in this café. To be honest, the quality of the coffee is good but not the best. However, people make the difference. Lucia and Alice are lovely. They definitely have natural social skills.

The have lovely coffees and hot chocolate and although the cakes are good, they sometimes run out and it is not even that far into the day. They have good social distancing, quick service, comfy seating and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!

Literally the worst flat white, so hot I burnt my lip 🤢🤯🥵. Not sure where their barista was trained but I’m guessing a lot of YouTube videos where involved. Customer service was not good either and the barista actually decided to take it upon them selfs to mock another customer for inspecting what brands of milk they used. Really disappointing, I’m just glad my coffee was free via the yo yo app.

Always nice to sit here. The big bay windows make sure it's never stuffy here. Staff are always polite and the coffees are tasty as well as the cakes.
