Tasty coffee, great froth on the cappuccinos, especially from the Manager, who I think is called Ryan? He’s also obviously taught the new young man well too, I can scoop up my froth, and turn the spoon upside and it won’t budge. Perfection! 😊

We love Coffee#1! Great tasting coffee, always an extensive range of cakes and pastries, and it’s a large, spacious place, so we don’t feel cramped. Large tables, so we can occasionally play board games with my sons and their friends. But the best part of our Tewkesbury Coffee#1? The great staff! SO kind and helpful towards my InLaws, who regularly visit. All are kind and efficient, but especially the gentleman Manager, and the older lady, with red hair. We love you both, you are part of our coffee experience! (Don’t be offended by my ‘older lady’ description, I only mean to distinguish you from the ‘younger’ ladies 🤭)

I have been going to Coffee 1 in Tewkesbury since it opened. But today the coffee I received was shocking poor. I pointed it out but the staff were so rude. So noisy in there with staff banging cups and plates, couldn’t enjoy our drinks. Sadly crossed off my list.

Visited the Tewkesbury store for a coffee and sandwich with my friend. Found that I did not agree with any of the recent reviews. The coffee shop was extremely tidy to a high standard and although was busy seemed service was running incredibly smooth. The manager was very professional and seemed to be doing a superb job and everything under control. Although busy, was a very cozy and spacious place to have a catch up with a friend. Was very happy and will definitely be returning in a hurry! Really good experience and would recommend.

A regular at several coffee one shops but recently the standard on all of them has dropped drastically. Currently in Tewkesbury waited ages to get served and struggled to find a table that wasn’t piled high with cups and trays without exaggeration every table had dirty crockery. Finally when the queue cleared the three girls behind the counter continued to have a chat leaving all the tables cluttered. My wife had just visited the toilets and commented that she’s seen cleaner ones at Glastonbury!

We had hopes that it would improve with a new manager , alas not . Still serving stale tea cakes that are flattened and burnt to a crisp . Understaffed and very slow service . I just want to be able to buy a coffee and food and be served efficiently . Coffee one unfortunately this seems to be a problem with a lot of your shops .

Me and partner came for a light snack and a drink. As pub managers, we were shocked at how poor the service was and how poorly managed your team are. Two members of staff were rushing around, completing all the orders, while a young blonde ignores customer to restock the cakes (which did not need restocking). As much as we see the importance in the job, far too many people were in the queue for that job to be prioritised. We almost walked out due to the lack of service. We do not recommend coming here if you just want a quick drink and welcoming service!!!

Not only did the lady serving on her own do a terrific job, she opened up early (30 mins) as she said there were a few customers waiting ! She multi tasked and kept the massive queue ticking over nicely. Coffee was very good as well! The ladies name is Sandra and she is the most efficient barrister I’ve ever seen. Thumbs up

The coffee and cakes are OK - assuming you can ever get served. Service is at a glacial pace and there's frequently just one very slow person serving, even at busy times of the day, while a queue stretches out onto the High Street. And this means tables don't get cleaned very often or very thoroughly. If you're in a wheelchair, the tables are packed too close together (so much for social distancing) at the front of the cafe and because of the constant queue, getting past to go to the back where there's more room is very difficult. If you're disabled and have trouble standing, don't even bother, given the length of the queue and the speed at which it moves. I've been to other Coffee #1 branches in the south west and most seem fine - it's just Tewkesbury where they're slow and unfriendly.

There are several Coffee #1"s in the South Midlands/South West area, we have visited at least a dozen branches and every one has been good, but the Tewkesbury coffee shop (along with the one in Thornbury near Bristol) is and remains our favourite. The staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble and they are always helpful and welcoming. The ambience is good, relaxing and mostly comfortable, though a couple of the 'comfy' chairs have perhaps past their prime and need replacing! Food selection is very limited and pretty uninspired and often they've run out of many of the sandwiches by 1pm. Coffee is good , the atmosphere is nice and the Portuguese custard tarts are lovely but they are being usurped by all the coffee shops I go to that do things like turmeric lattes, coconut porridge , raw bars ( it really wouldn't be hard to sell a few Nakd bars at the checkout). There are no healthy options or treats and when even Starbucks does almond and coconut milk and Costa does oat milk, their lack of dairy alternatives is really poor

Coffee 1 is a warm friendly coffee shop and more. You can sit at the window & watch the world go by. Find a quiet corner to read your book. Let the children do there colouring books or play with there small toys as the tables at the back are very large. They have books & papers for you to read. Coffee, Tea, & drinks are excellent as are the sandwiches & cakes. This is a very comfortable coffee shop to wile away the time & catch up with friends. Go visit you wont be disappointed.

We visited while staying in Tewkesbury for the weekend. The bacon rolls were full of quality bacon .The choice of coffee, tea and hot chocolate was amazing. We enjoyed a lovely cappuccino and hot chocolate.I enjoyed the largest almond croissant and today we sampled the citron tart and carrot cake. The place is very friendly and has a great atmosphere.

Went on a hot afternoon for a much needed cold drink. They were offering two cold drinks for the price of one at a specific time of day. I ordered one of the drinks that were on offer at the correct time but as i was one person on their own i was not offered the second one. The staff were friendly and the drink was brought to the table. The place as a whole - floor, seating ect - in my opinion needs a good clean including the toilet.

Only went in for morning coffee and cake so can't comment on any other services offered. Coffee etc was good, as was the large tea cake.

Coffee#1, in my opinion is by far the best of the Coffee Shop Chains and this branch supports my view.

No food ordered so can't comment. Lovely local bar. The only decent place to go in Cleeve that's not a pub filled with pubgoers.

We found this place by luck as we took a wrong turn! Had dinner and liked it so much we came back for dinner the following night. Great food with generous portions, very friendly and helpful staff, but not pushy. Good local beer and a nice atmosphere. Sensible prices and therefore very good value for money overall. We will definitely go there again when next in the Cheltenham area.
