Very disappointed. Ordered 2 adult pork, 1 adult beef and 2 kids beef. The adult dinners came upside down! The adult beef didn't arrive and the swede and stuffing were very watery. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from here again! I paid £35 to get no dinner.

First things first, I did not visit Cafe Pronto, I live within the delivery radius and ordered in. Just-eat, however, does not seem to want to post my review. I ordered a Bacon and Egg sandwich, which was advertised as on a bap. When it came, rather than a bap, it was brown bread - I don't mind that, I understand stock can run out. However, the quality of the bread was appalling. I could forgive all of that if only the Bacon and Egg were cooked well but they both tasted as if they'd been cooked in a microwave. I choked it down though, I did spend money on it. Though I will never be buying here again, I suggest you don't either.

I moved from Cambs to Newton Aycliffe in 2018 and quickly made Cafe Pronto my preferred choice for coffee, lunch, a snack or treat. With friendly staff, great value and generous portions, what's not to like. There is also a loyalty scheme for drinks and breakfasts. The six item breakfast is so reasonable at under £3 and the bacon buns are enormous! There are other cafes, but Cafe Pronto gets my vote every time. Good to see that they are offering a meals delivery service during the current coronavirus conditions and there are special meal deals for pensioners. They are providing a very valuable service to the community.

Walked in and walked straight out. Sad to say it attracts dirty looking people..smelt like body odour.

They are good for what they are I would go but I would recommend going to siesta though I but if you are passing by I would recommend going in

Some days seems so chaotic. Slow at counter. Tables not cleared or cleaned. Some tables very close together causing congestion with pushchairs. Maybe needs a rethink

Called here in middle of shopping with Mam. Both had jacket potato and tuna, was really nice and reasonable price.

Popped in for late breakfast which was delicious and really good value but the highlight for me was the tasty little homemade shortbread that came with the coffee!

Just called for lunch with my friend. Wasn't looking forward to eating in a cafe as only allowed pureed food at the moment due to having an operation. They had baby meals in the menu and give you a choice of blended or mashed. Felt embarrassed having to ask for the meal but no questions were asked and i wasn't judged

Only been a few times it never changes, regulars get a pleasant welcome the other customers hardly get a smile. Drinks fine as a machine is used. Never had food.

I understand these mistakes can happen but I was given a ham and cheese panini when I ordered a cheese and onion one - as I’m a vegetarian, this was a little bit of an issue. I took the panini back to the kind waitress who had given it to me and she immediately apologised and said she would make me a new one. I was then encountered by the man who had taken my order, who - not only had been on his phone for most of my visit - decided he should rudely interrupt me. He insisted that I had, in fact, ordered ham and cheese. His attitude towards me was absolutely disgraceful, and made me feel very uncomfortable and upset.As a result, I will not be returning to this cafe in the future.

Can't comment on the food as no one was prepared to serve us. What I can say is that the place was vaguely reminiscent of what I imagine a cafe in the Soviet Union to have been circa 1978. Standing at the counter to place our order, we were simply ignored while miserable looking staff circulated, miserably. I certainly felt miserable when I left.

I ordered a roast turkey dinner and a roast ham sandwich. The food was delivered on time. The roast dinner hot and in a separate bag from the sandwich.The vegetables tasted fresh and not over cooked. The bread used for the sandwich was soft and fresh. Both tasted very nice.Will order from here again

Popped in on Easter Sunday as it was the only place open. Had a cup of tea and a snack. Everything was fine but nothing out of the ordinary. Staff were friendly and the place was reasonably clean.

Food was a joke, really cold and 2 hrs late.

Haven’t eaten in the place but ive ordered food for delivery. Always prompt and tasty for what you pay.

Brilliant place for all types of food from breakfast to dinner. The catering is fantastic they catered for my grandsons birthday party and they were more than helpful and the food was spot on. Very good value for everything here.

Staff need customer service training a good morning and smile cost nothing. Table clearance needs to be quicker and more efficient wipe all table not the middle and sweep floor round tables. Drinks are ok as they come out of a machine never had food so cannot comment.

This cafe is the largest and probably the most preferred one in town. It has a great range of food to choose from. There are a lot of regulars that go there from the town. It could be alot cleaner and the staff could be a bit more friendly.

El lugar perfecto para hacer una parada para comer algo rápido en el centro de la ciudad. Gran selección de comida y excelentes precios. Hay algo para todos, desde aperitivos, tartas, pasteles, comidas grandes y la comida de los niños. Helados, batidos, prácticamente todo.

Muy popular café por desgracia que necesitan conseguir actuar juntos bastante lento en limpiar las mesas. Se necesita prestar más atención a la vajilla ya que tuve que buscar en muchas tazas antes de encontrar uno limpio señalamos será si fue tomada a bordo no seguro. Necesita instrucciones claras de cómo sirven a veces leche en otras ocasiones contador no.

Looks nice from the outside, like a standard cafe on the inside, the food however is vile, I ordered the breakfast, the mushrooms looked days old and warmed up, the bacon was to stringy and tasteless, and the egg tasted like it was processed, would not return as there is a tesco cafe just around corner which is alot nicer.

Good place to pop into for a snack.Good selection of food and pensioners special's are good value.I particularly like to go for Breakfast.

I pop in regular to coffee pronto there food is delisous and all home cooked the breakfast bun is my all time fave the prices are fair in today's market and the staff are all very polite and helpful highly recommended cafe

The cafe is well supported despite being opposite a Greggs. I visited this cafe with my granddaughter and was pleased with the range of cakes on offer. I've also taken my dog to sit outside enjoying the cafe society of Newton Aycliffe, such as it is.

Not actually been in but family have I have a fussy son in law who likes the best when it comes to dining but after been in on his visit here had no complaints I get home deliveries comes piping hot had the lasagne on last delivery and what could I say yum yum and yum again I have now ordered Xmas lunch to be delivered this is a first for me as always liked my own but I know I'm going to get first class delivery and top nosh so that leaves me time to sit back and enjoy the day can't wait Well done to coffee Pronto

Called in just after 12. Said it would be about 10 min wait. 12.55 it arrived. Piping hot plenty on plate. Turnip was a bit watery mash was powdered variety. Plenty of meat and lashings of gravy. I'd prefer less gravy. I didn't like my Yorkshire pud but daughter did. I'd go again if I didn't want to travel far

Come here most times for breakfastFood is good portion size are just right Ice creams are nice as well service good but could do with numbers for tables instead of staff having to shout out numbers gets a big on me nerves staff shouting numbers and customers not listening

We have been to this brilliant cafe so many times and have always enjoyed lovely fresh meals and delicious cakes from a huge menu! Last week we decided to try the sunday lunch delivery service and it didn't disappoint! Great service from ordering to prompt delivery of hot food, large portions and very tasty! Would definitely recommend!!

Such a shame, nice decor, inside clean, view engaging, however, sweaty out of breath staff serving with inadequately cooked food,,,, avoid! Impractical i.e. the good old fashioned greasy spoon

Had the Sunday lunch delivered and I must say that it was absolutely gorgeous the best I've had for a while it was piping hot clean plates off my kids!!! Definitely using coffee pronto again x

Handy place for a tea or coffee if you are in the town centre. Never had a meal there but judging by the large number of people tucking into food it seems a popular choice

The coffee is always fresh and the sweets are to die for. have not try yet the Sunday lunch , but I will do soon.

Busy cafe that does a good cooked breakfast. Manager is friendly and welcoming. Staff attitudes variable and they are not always good at clearing tables, so tables can be a bit dirty at peak times on a Saturday lunch time, for example. Coffee is good. There is some competition now from a new Greggs opposite, so the management would do well to pay more attention to standards of service and cleanliness in order to keep loyal customers. Altogether though a decent caff.

Good quality food at great prices. Excellent choice of snacks, quick bites, full dinners, drinks and desserts. Plus a brilliant choice of ice creams. They even do takeaway & now a Sunday dinner home delivery service! Well worth a visit.

I just love the mince and dumplings here. Morning breakfast is so tasty and such value for money. Coffee lovely and tea not bad. Would have give pronto 5 stars but every time I go I have to ask for the table to be washed. The floor always needs a sweep. I only go at busy times of the day because this is when I need feeding, but I really do think it needs to be kept on top of. A refresher course for the staff would not go amiss, this is going to sound horrible, because the staff are all lovely, but why not wipe the tables when you see it needs doing. Try your best to keep on top of things.

This cafe is not what you might call posh but I doubt you will get such a variety of reasonable and inexpensive food anywhere else in the country. Service is reasonably quick and the staff are efficient even though it was very busy on the day I visited. This was my first visit and I will certainly eat there next time I'm in the area.

Do not expect fine dining. DO expect great service, huge portions, great value for money. It's clean, it's local, it's child friendly. And their ice cream and milkshakes are to die for!

This is our local café and its great to be able to call in while doing the shopping. The staff are efficient and friendly and the food is second to none. Give it a try next time you are in Aycliffe Town Centre.

often have Saturday lunch here, no fuss menu, all day breakfast is a bargain, burgers are very filling and chips are always tasty.the staff are freindly and helpful .sometimes it's difficult to find a table but that's a sign of a popular and well loved Cafe

Down to it...it's clean, reasonable prices, good food and as they say in the Northeast...'the food is good...you get loads!' Whereas, seeing dishes as they passed by, they looked tasty and were well presented.Why then...not a '5' ? Down to somethe clientele and their affect on the ambience. Also, more help behind the counter. One person had to take orders... coffee then wait to be completely finished ...sloooowww

Only started going to coffee pronto a few months ago and I must say the food is really nice and reasonable. The early bird breakfast is a steal at £2.40 you get to choose what items you want also. I've eaten other food from there and it's lovely. Most of the staff are friendly too.

Clean, plenty of room, friendly staff, good price, lovely coffee, food is very nice, good menu with loads of choices

Often go in here for afternoon tea with a scone, good service and excellent value, cheery staff as well, clean and tidy, always busy.

Delicious Sunday lunch, I've had it as a take out and in the cafe. It's also really welcoming so if you are eating alone you feel comfortable. Great value and huge portions!

Usually pop in here after a nightshift and the breakfasts are amazing. Fresh and lush. They also do plenty of other dinners, mince and dumplings my fave, and the selection of scones and cakes are amazing

The staff are polite and helpful. The tables are always immaculate. I enjoy the all day breakfast that they serve here and the service is great

Good value for money - huge portions! The quality is not amazing, but ok. Everything we tried was tasty, just not excellent. Very friendly staff. Sometimes quite busy, but not to the point when there's no room. My son loves their ice cream desserts!

Visit on a regular basis for the special breakfast and latte, and at just over £4, good value and tasty. Food is served promptly even when it is very busy.

Food good value for your money good atmosphere breakfasts and lunches really nice and Sunday lunches are value for money

My friend and I usually come to this cafe at least threetimes a week and always find the food is excellent and the staff are always polite and helpful

Whent in to eat as it was cold outside all I can say is I regret this very much I wish I took my custom to Gregg's , when my food came the lasagne was supposed to be baked it was microwave and it had burnt to the side of the bowl at the price they charge you would expect better seems so the other cafe in aycliffe is all baked from fresh and I wish the other cafe wasent full because I was going there first this is not the first time it's happened either if I could give the food a 0 I would the coffie was ok but the food is way expensive for a microwave meal that i can buy from tesco at half the price one other thing I had noticed the wall was dirty and half painted you would expect better from the price they charge

went for a coffee and scone which was lovely but one of the staff was cleaning the toilets yes she had disposable gloves, her apron and hat on the a few minutes later she was serving food minus the gloves but still full uniform on. What if there had been splashes from the loo splashed on her apron. Why can't the toilets be cleaned before opening which are in fact not that very clean anyways. Look past that the food is good lovely homemade scones and gorgeous milky coffee.

Anyone who has ever visited aycliffe town centre will know its impossible to find anywhere "nice" to lunch. This is the best place on the town. Cheap and cheerful with he added bonus of an ice cream counter.

Early Sunday morning before the shops opened so we sat outside Pronto . We had the best bacon sandwich and coffee that we have had in ages. The staff were great and to complete the experience Sunday papers to read.

We always go here the food is very good and the milky coffee is the best .Early morning breakfast even afternoon teas they have the lot .Staff always say hello and you can go in by your self because they always friendly and make you feel welcome.

Very basic cheap meat in the breakfast. Service was poor just a sour faced woman screaming order numbers. No smiles or thank you. Deserts looked nice though and always busy so must be doing something right, fine for a basic lunch/coffee

If you fancy a quick bite to eat or a coffee when in the Newton Aycliffe area, this is a great place to pop in. They do a great 'special' breakfast (6 item) on a morning which tastes great and is great value. Range of coffees and soft drinks too. Definitely worth a try.
