We liked Coffee Plus for grab and go stuff to wait with or take on the trains but it was removed about 2 1/2 years ago. But for a couple of months or so we’ve seen a much smaller mobile set up in the space several metres inside the turnstiles. Very basic but useful in its own way. Better by far is another sort of pop up coffee and bagel place outside at the west end of the car park run by Hutong. We have yet to be drawn into the new cafe in the north west corner of the concourse between Smiths and the ticket counters so can’t say whether it’s any good or not.

Went in at 1415, dirty tables, dirty walls, girl serving was rude, looked like she needed a wash. Charge enough for coffee and food, wasn't worth going in

As one of the first visible phases of change and redevelopment of the concourse area of Plymouth Station, this excellent little snack business together with the useful adjacent Spar shop have both been removed in order to widen the turnstile gates to speed passenger dispersal on the arrival peak time trains. A great pity because we liked and used Coffee Plus several times a month not least because of the disappointing catering on the Hitachi GWR trains.

I was cold tired and delayed so what a lovely surprise to find a friendly, homely cafe providing freshly brewed tea, real milk and home cooked cakes and other products. Also China cups and fresh soup. Independent operations such as this add character, quality and value for money. If only there were more such outlets in our stations and other public places. IT would be such change from boring corporate chains

What a lovely pair of local ladies. Really great coffee (as good as the Lundwic Cafe) and the locally made Harvest Cake! WOW. So nice to have something personable at the station. Variety is the spice of life. Not the big standard chains we have found everywhere else thus far. Thank you ladies!

This cafe is lovely and staff are so very friendly.A lovely selection of healthy and of also a good selection of cakes if you are feeling naughty. Just hope they can stay open as they are fighting to stay open. Which is sad! As we need to support our small business and keep out the bigger franchises. This cafe is always busy and coffee is always good. Fingers crossed for them. Have signed the petition in hope we can keep this gem of a cafe open.

Every time we go to Plymouth Rail Station we visit this little gem of a café to get a drink and a butty before boarding the train. We have never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly and obliging. We cannot fault 'Coffee Plus' at all.

I bought a coffee here two days ago. This morning I bought another. I wanted to start a loyalty stamp card, which I did. The server/owner appeared very nice and the coffee is good. However I probably won't go there again and the visit left me feeling disappointed. I suggested, a little cheakily I admit, that she might want to give me a stamp from when I was there two days ago. She said no. I went back a few minutes later because I remembered from the visit two days before that she had interrupted a call on her mobile to serve me then. This was for someone applying for a job. She had also given me some water so those two details I thought those details might jog her memory. They didn't. She said she saw very many people daily so did not remember me. That was understandable. It wasn't that she didn't believe me, she said, but she could not remember and also wouldn't retrospectively award a stamp. All if that is understandable. I said that I thought this was a marketing opportunity as I might leave a review. I offered to show her my old ticket on my phone. She then accused me of threatening her (with an unfavourable review). I said I was disappointed and she said I was sorry I felt like that. I said I was sorry she was missing an opportunity to promote her business. I can see she is correct, I asked for something I did not strictly have a right to have. On a transactional basis I was offering something in return though. Life is full of rules and procedures but some discretion is permitted in some instances. In particular I think a customer's experience, a person's experience, is important. My experience could have been better, hence the three star review. I am sorry she felt threatened by my mentioning a possible review, I would have hoped she would have interpreted that as an opportunity not a threat, which I think is the opposite side of the same coin. She perhaps did not also appreciate that it is umpleasant to be called threatening.

Still a friendly useful sit down or grab and run cafe better than any other food source in and around Plymouth Station. You can even call ahead at the crack of dawn so that your bacon or other hot filled sandwich or roll is ready as you come through the barrier from the concourse. My only, modest gripe is that a couple of times the bacon has been a let down. Smoked back browned and with no floppy fat - please. Almost always it's great but on that chilly morning as you settle in your seat facing a long trip to work or a day up in the smoke, peeling back the brown paper bag to find the rare below par discount undercooked bacon breeds disparity and sets the tone for the day. If I wanted that filling, it is readily available from a well known chain cafe near the ticket counters.

I come here most mornings as I have a commute. The staff are friendly, the tea nice and I would recommend this coffee bar.

If you use North Road Station, you can't have missed this compact little snack bar in the corner on the right just a few yards after you go in through the ticket barrier from the concourse. Open for most of the day. Sells a wide range of sandwiches, pasties, toast, freshly made soup, hot and cold drinks and a raft of confectionary. Very friendly and quick at the counter. Usually a couple of places to sit but most customers pick up stuff on the hoof and take it out on to the platform and on to the train, especially because most trains don't have a buffet or active dining car this side of Newton Abbot. I prefer his place to Pumpkin or the Costa machine in the little Spar shop both outside the barrier.

Complete turnabout in these premises. Lot of surprise that it is now opening as Dino Barbers. Looks quite flamboyant but there are already a dozen similar barbershops along Mutley Plain.
