Not so long ago I was a regular at this cafe and always enjoyed my visits. Now, a few years on I visit less frequently. The coffee is still great ... but it is no longer the friendly place I remember. I will go elsewhere in future where the staff can manage a welcoming smile when taking an order. This is the second visit which has disappointed. Last time I was overcharged in a very deliberate way. A real shame.

Took ages for the staff to actually look up and see I was waiting to place an order. I asked about fruit juice and was given a ‘we haven’t got this’ reply. So I only bought a latte. Paid by card and not given receipt. Husband said the coffee was nice, but just not the staff and attitude.

Visited this cafe several times on a recent visit to Swansea . One of its attractions is its position on the waterfront overlooking the marina . The weather was perfect for sitting outside . My cousin , with whom I was , loved the chicken and avocado sandwich , so much so that we came back to get some to take away for an evening snack a few days later . We enjoyed good coffee , and delicious ice cream but sadly arrived too late to sample the soup , which looked interesting !

My husband and I sat outside and had coffee and a sandwich on a sunny winter Sunday and it was lovely! The wrap I had was tasty with a nice fresh side salad and crisps. My husband's toastie was decent enough. The comfy outside seating and view of the Marina make this a really good place for a pit stop! Great service really nice friendly atmosphere!

Visited for a toasted sandwich and a cup of tea at 2pm ......it did strike us that perhaps they were trying to finish early ? The toastie was dreadful ... synthetic and pathetic cheese & ham....the staff in the Kitchen were throwing the rubbish bags of plastic & bottles about with no thought to the noise for customers. A great shame, as we have visited many times before ...but usually just for Coffee ......and there's never been a problem .

My wife and I visited on a Monday late afternoon and decided on the chalk board 'special' - falafel, hummus and fresh salad wrap. They were far from being special with a filling comprising mainly of chopped cucumber, cheap lettuce with the tiniest portion of both falafel and hummus. The cone of accompanying chips were delicious but at that price I could have bought 3 kilos of potatoes. Am I the only one that feels that cafés and restaurants are using the current financial hiccup to both hike up prices and reduce quality?? The coffee's nice so we'll leave at that next visit!

Stopped of here for a sandwich and drink. Paid £6 for a cheese and ham sandwich. The cheese was packet cheese slices and the ham was packet ham. It seemed for the price, you would expect some cut cheddar and fresh ham. Just seemed they were taking my money and not really caring about the quality of the food.

The food was good, however we felt nauseous and were suffering from headaches. We have recently been the victim of somebody using an ultrasound app and when we checked the ultrasound frequency levels at Fresco, they were very high. Fresco has been in Swansea a number of years albeit probably under various managements..... called in for a coffee and Egg and Bacon Roll middayish. Welcoming place, dogs allowed inside which is not my thing but something to be aware of in case you have an allergy etc. Staff are welcoming and polite. The menu is extensive and I think that might be a problem, as whilst all was fine my tea came immediately but the Egg/Bacon roll took half an hour to be served which in fairness is far too long for something simple - I would say they were half full so by no means rushed off their feet. Pricing is fine £6.25 for the roll and a pot of tea. They used to have a system where they gave you a number to put on your table but now you have to identify the table when ordering - is a problem when you are on your own as you choose a table and by the time you get back someone else is sitting there!

I went here with my mother after trying another place called The Swigg nearby that was hopeless. Whilst perhaps not looking as nice inside or having as intersting a menu as the other place, there was plenty of choice on offer and we were served our food very quickly here. The staff seemed friendly, smiling which was nice and the speed at which our food arrived was excellent. The coffee was very nice too. There seemed to some nice looking ice cream on offer and the restaurant seemed very clean and plenty of seating on offer. I had a panini which was very nice, though I thought the side salad served next to it could have been a fresher. Had it been I would have rated this review five stars. I thought everything was very reasonably priced and I would consider coming here again for lunch if I was in the area.

Came here for lunch, having abandoned the hell on earth that was the museum café! There was plenty of choice on the menu and reasonable prices. The coffee was absolutely lovely - and so nice to have it served with a biscuit, as this seems to be increasingly rare these days. We had paninis and some tiffin - all very good and the food was served reasonably promptly. Presentation could be improved - but that’s a minor niggle. Staff were friendly and courteous. I would definitely eat here again - it’s perfect for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. Plenty of seating, inside and out. The ice cream looked lovely ... maybe next time! I would recommend this café.

This is a very nice cafe / restaurant in excellently presented premises on Swansea's waterfront, featuring an inviting ice-cream parlour with a wide range of interesting flavours and a variety of cone types. They serve excellent coffee. The menu for lunch / dinner is reasonably extensive, with good value meals on offer. The staff are friendly. Judging by the presence of several spelling errors on menus and signs on the premises I presume management / owners are not native English speakers (so should be forgiven for making a few errors) - however, it might give a better impression if help was sought to correct the many spelling errors. Unfortunately this cafe / restaurant closes too early (either 5pm or 6pm in August, depending upon the day of the week - I don't know what opening hours are in off-peak times) for many people to choose to have dinner here.

We chose here as we have had some lovely meals and thought that it looked like a cafe that would source locally. Breakfast though was disappointing. We paid just over £15.00 for 2 breakfasts and 2 teas. Sausage was like a fish shop sausage, a very watery half a mushroom and the 2 slices of toast were the run of mill thin cut loaf and as the beans were placed on top of them it was just a soggy mess. We visited one mid-week lunchtime. There was a good range of food on offer, including some vegetarian options. My husband went to the counter to order, but that took a long time as there was only one person serving, who also was making the coffees. When the food came, we did enjoy it. I had an avocado and hummus salad, which was tasty, and my husband had the vegetable lasagna, which he said was full of vegetables. It was not that the server was not working hard, she seemed to be rushed off her feet, just more hands needed at busy times. We would be happy to return if in the area again.

Came here with family for a light bite and a drink in the sunshine. The menu for vegetarian options was very poor, and for vegan practically non existent. Nevertheless, I enjoyed some sweet potato fries and a freshly squeezed apple juice. I was disappointed when my juice arrived and it had a plastic straw in it without me asking for one. Most places have made the change to paper straws now and unless there is a paper straw alternative I do not request one however in this scenario I had no choice. The staff weren't too friendly, quite fed up and just dumping the food on our table. It's a shame as it's in such a lush location it could just really do with a re-vamp as its a bit outdated and the menu isn't very inclusive.

I've been here a few times and have always been impressed. Today, however, this was not the case. Personally, I thought there was an unacceptable wait to have your order taken. The cashier was fine but somehow, it just seemed to take forever. Then, I was disappointed with the contect of my sandwich. I ordered cheese and red onion, and personally, when a sandwich had two fillings listed, I think they should be served in equal portions. This was not the case. It was a cheese sandwich with a hint of red onion. I didn't want to complain because the length of the queue put me off. It's a popular venue as they allow dogs inside, which we love, but we just don't understand why it should take so long to have your order taken. Sorry Coffee Fresco.

I'll start by complimenting the staff who were friendly and attentive. But I was disappointed. I took my father, daughter and grandchildren here following a visit to the attached National Waterfront Museum of Wales. I was expecting wonderful local Welsh produce - we are bordering the Gower with its salt marsh lamb, beef and exceptional seafood and vegetables. Instead we were offered boring, poor quality food from mass produced factories. As this is part of a national museum I would expect it to provide the best that the locality can produce - which it certainly does not. This is a missed opportunity. Come on Coffee Fresco - up your game! Let's have some excellent local produce, sourced with local suppliers - and there are some amazing ones who come to the square next to your restaurant every month for the Maritime Farmers Market!

Called at the Coffee Fresco Saturday morning (9th September). It was not particularly busy but the staff seemed to be totally disorganised, going from table to table offering what they had to hand, seemingly hoping to find the right customers. We ordered two pancakes, a latte and a hot chocolate. After a long wait a waiter came to ask what drinks had we ordered. Eventually my pancake arrived (with strawberries and cream – not bad but not great) then the drinks turned up. We asked several times about my wife's plain pancake. I had eaten half of mine before it was served and it was disappointing – thin and dry – my wife left most of it.

It was poor, Latte was 'OK' as was the tea (we've had worse) but both bread rolls were stale, noticeable even though both had been toasted. Extra butter was required for the tea cake and the breakfast Barm billed as 'Giant' only needed two sausage to fill it. Stale buns on a Saturday morning just isn't good enough guys. Bowled over by their homemade Polish chorizo and bean soup; very hearty and very tasty. They can make milkshakes out of all the flavours of ice-cream they have on offer and offer a great range of very scrumptious looking (have not eaten one - yet) cakes. A little disappointed in the baked potato - the filling was excellent but personally I like my jacket potato to have a crispier skin. The cafe is spacious and allow dogs inside which is alwasy a bonus for us. We rarely go anywhere without our four-legged friend. Thank you.

It's just a coffee shop. Staff didn't seem too friendly which let it down a little, but a good location and a very average latte

We often call into this cafe on the Marina if we go for a walk, or visit the Museum for a coffee or lunch. Every time we always receive a warm welcome. We can eat inside or out depending on the weather. The menu is really good at reasonable prices. Good choice of drinks with excellent coffee

Have visited this lovely cafe several times, on visits to the National Waterfront Museum. There is always a warm welcome from the staff, there is a varied menu, and all orders are freshly prepared. On one occasion, I treated myself to one of the Waffle dishes, very indulgent, with maple syrup, bananas and cream, naughty but very nice. The savoury dishes do not disappoint either, sandwiches are a delight, with salad accompaniment. A good range of drinks, both hot and cold.

Coffee Fresco is the perfect place for lunch on a sunny day when you can sit outside and take in the hustle and bustle of the marina, or a cold wet and windy day when you can cosy up inside the restored railway building. The freshly made truly home cooked soup was amazing. Proper restorative chicken and barley soup served with decent chunks of fresh bread and all for about a fiver. We also had a chicken sandwich which was real chicken - not plastic wrapped soggy meat - and plenty of it. A bowl of chips topped it off - proper chunky chips. The coffee was top notch too. Highly recommend anyone in the marina looking for good food at very reasonable prices. Next time I will try the Polish soup as recommended by our friendly, smiling waitress who said she had it every day for her lunch.

Yesterday (Saturday 22nd Oct) was a lovely autumnal day and we were strolling around the marina and decided to pop into “Coffee Fresco” for a snack. We both had tasty toasted sandwiches with side garnish, I had a coffee latte and my wife had a milkshake with ice cream. There was a large printed menu and a wide selection of other items on the boards around. It was busy and clean and the staff were very friendly.

Coffee was ok otherwise I would have given it Zero Stars. Bacon Bap was £3.90 and it was the thinnest fattest bacon I have ever seen. Hardly any other taste and I think the only thing that was tasty was the brown sauce. We intended having half each but wife wouldn't look at it leave alone eat any. I thought of taking it back but I prefer to leave negative feedback and hopefully put other people off from going there, we certainly won't be returning. My wife asked what herbal teas they had and was told "those behind me" which was impossible to read, so I would also criticise the unhelpful staff.

We had a lovely lunch here with our friends. I had the homemade butternut squash soup with chilli and toasted panini. Very delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. The staff are very helpful and efficient. The prices are very reasonable and menu choices excellent. It's in a lovely setting by the marina. We didn't try but the ice creams looked delicious and will go back and try these another time.

Visited here for lunch, there is a good selection of food and deserts but a bit confusing as you have a printed menu, then loads of signs and blackboards dotted around offering other dishes so you miss a few.

We've been here a few times for breakfast whilst we have visitors staying with us as we live nearby,we've had the breakfast on each occasion and every time they've got it wrong they've either forgotten something or added something that we didn't ask for ? Last time I was there my hash browns were frozen together this is not acceptable, we still go there as its a nice place for a coffee but not for a breakfast anymore, however we did have a bacon and sausage bap and they forgot the sausage's we just find it amusing now!

I have used this coffee shop for years, since it first opened, food is always fresh and of great quality, international twist too. Lovely to sit outside often protected from high winds due to position in the marina, sun facing too.

I've visited this lovely little cafe a few times in the last few weeks for latte/capuccino & I have to say its up there with the best. But on my last 2 visits i've ordered a sandwich, & they have a large selection to chose from. Fresh ingredients, bread is lovely, side salad fresh & few pringles. Had a portion of chips too which are hot, crispy not greasy with pot of sauce. Staff are lovely & nothing is too much trouble for them. Tables are clean, what more could you ask for. They also have a Specials board, lovely choice of homemade soups & a good kids menu & prices are not bad either. I'll def be returning

Not sure who wrote the good reviews for this place, but it is not a good place for a nice breakfast. Poorly prepared and the stewed tomatoes were not good, more like tomato paste. The toast was smushed with an oily yellow margarine or some sort of orange coloured oil making it seem like it was wet. No nice bread options at all. The coffee was dreadful, like washing up water plus no cream for coffee. There is a much better cafe across the way from Annies, I recommend it.

This cafe offers a delightful seaside experience. With stunning views of the bay, it's a perfect spot to relax. The menu features a variety of seafood, hearty breakfasts, and delicious coffee, all reasonably priced. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Service is generally friendly, although it can get busy during peak times. The outdoor seating is a highlight, allowing diners to enjoy the ocean breeze and the Mumbles pier view.
