A fantastic find after a couple of hours out riding green lanes and byways with my friend John. Lovely friendly staff and one of the best breakfasts ever, can happily recommend this pace and will be back again soon. Freshly cooked, piping hot and very tasty fresh ingredients, the sausages especially!!

Went when previous owners had it. Disappointed to learn that new owners you cannot reserve tables. As we come from around the area it would nor be good for us to turn up in case there were no free tables. Hoping to support the cafe as we were always happy with the service and food. Hopefully booking tables will be back soon

We ate breakfast here on Saturday and it was delicious. We had two full English breakfasts and added hash browns on, because why wouldn’t you….?! The portion size was perfect (I couldn’t finish mine so my partner did!) and the quality was great. Coupled with two freshly squeezed orange juices, a tea and a flat white. It’s not particularly cheap - £41 but the quality justified the price. We will definitely be back!

A delightful cafe with delightful people and consistently the very best cooked breakfast we have ever had. For us, it's a long way to go for breakfast but we visit regularly simply because it is so good, and such a nice place to be. Home made brown sauce is extrordinarily good and the coffee blend is really nice.

We visit Coffee Darling now and again when we get the chance. It never fails to deliver incredible coffee and high quality , delicious food. The hard working team are passionate about what they produce. The surroundings are comfortable and you always feel welcomed and at ease being there. I noticed a couple of negative reviews. I can only imagine the dis-satisfied customers were more used to a large chain establishment. Coffee Darling is a unique little haven of peace where you can escape to, feel relaxed , enjoying food produced with passion and made to order, rather than the microwaved mass produced nonsense offered by the larger chains geared up for sudden mass arrivals . Thanks for continuing to be there for the locals and tourists who care about what they eat and drink.

what a shame that the experience was ruined by behaviour of the manager. Totally manic behaviour which resulted in one feeling rather unwelcome. Nine family members arrived to an empty room left of the front door - not sure if we all wanted food or just drinks. Manager was very stressy! We should have booked he said in case they had been full.....but they were not full and if they had been we would have gone elsewhere. Altogether sadly a rather weird guy. Good food however. Don't think hospitality industry is for you Mr Manager.

Waitress lovely, but male server (possibly manager/owner) not so much. Not interested in hearing the answer to ‘was everything ok’ unless it was a ‘yes’. Pancakes were very thick and therefore very stodgy and sausage very salty. Best thing which got the 1 star was the bread. Won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend.

What can be said, feeling a mixed bag of emotional damage and thoughtfulness after are recent visit. We visited here recently for our weekly breakfast club, the I met up with Sampson, Jeff, Isobel and Gunther, we run a club that specialises in space pollution. We were a little shocked at the price and cost of food in this establishment, you can get a good 3 course meal elsewhere for the same price as a breakfast. Having said that we could not mock the quality of food and beverages. Sausage was a little dry, but I’d imagine the fat content was low. We did feel as though we were not welcome though. And felt that this establishment only really wanted to cater for the upper class of Wilthsire and Vegans. Slightly rude staff We were slightly disgusted after Jeff asked if he could swap 3 items of his breakfast for some mere Tin Tomatoes. The response we received was a very rude NO and “we only serve tin tomatoes to vegans!!!!” The general consensus was a decent breakfast, very expensive and rude staff.

From the very first day we moved to Wilton, Coffee Darling was our first stop as we waited to collect our keys. And since that visit we have been made to feel welcome, the food has surpassed every expectation!Whenever we have visitors we take them here, and always recommend them as a place to stop for food or a drink.Lyndsie makes the most amazing cakes, personal favourite being the chocolate Guinness cake or the chocolate and salted caramel cake - num num num. also her Hummingbird Cake - a must try!I always go for an eggs Benedict, but with bacon and avacado. The sausages are Russ’s personal recipe, and are a treat with him previously being a butcher. My choice today, sausage sarnie on brown bread, with their homemade brown sauce. It’s just a little bit of perfection on every visit. Our daughter loves visiting, and Lydsie and Russ, and all the staff are always more than welcoming. She especially likes seeing Poppy, their beautiful dog.The cafe is clean, well decorated and has such a lovely vibe as soon as you walk in. It gets busy during certain times so if you have got a visit planned good idea to call ahead and enquire about the arrangements, especially after covid. I’m just happy that we are able to support local business again. Outside seating area is stunning, a perfect spot to unwind and disappear in a book, lovely and warm on a summers day.Toilet facilities are great, baby changing available and they are pro breast feeding. No worries with my wife feeding our newborn here, they’ve got our backs.I love coming in and chatting to them all, always so friendly and welcoming. It’s our go to place every time. You just have to try it! Don’t be put off by other people’s reviews which are any thing less. It’s not always the business owner who is the problem, customers can be to, especially from what I’ve seen!Support local, support these beautiful people

Having previously worked in the hospitality industry for a number of years I'd like to think that I know a little about how to treat customers. I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the way my friends and I were treated during our visit. My friend had been a few times before and the cakes always looked great so I thought this could be a new regular! On arriving we were told, by the owner, we would only be able to stay for 30 minutes due to the limited seating space (not ideal when you've finally escaped the baby and haven't seen your friends in months!). A few minutes later we were told to keep the noise down in front of other customers. In my experience there are far better ways at handling these, potentially confrontational, situations. For example whilst I appreciate we were on the noisier side initially, I recommend that next time you either have a quite word with the customer or instead say something on the lines of 'I'm so pleased you're having a lovely time here but I'm afraid I'm struggling to hear to take an order'. I also suggest instead of giving a time of 30 minutes, that you firstly encourage us to buy another drink (which you didn't) and then wait until you get more customers and then politely ask if we are nearly finished as another customer would like to come in. More often than not you will get a polite 'Of course, we're almost done' response. We left within our 30 minute allocation (even though half the cafe was empty) and went across the road to have another coffee in a much more welcoming cafe.

I decided to give this coffee shop a go for breakfast based on the TA reviews and they were also part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. We all love pancakes and had read they offer the best around. It is a cosy coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. My son chose indoors despite the warm weather! Service was prompt and friendly. The menu was very inviting and it took me a while to decide, but after hearing so much about the pancakes, we opted for the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and an extra fried egg for my oldest son (9) and I. I also ordered the kids portion of pancakes and bacon for my 3 year old. Our order arrived quickly and the pancakes did not disappoint. They were the fluffiest pancakes I have ever had and that includes while in the USA! Each adult portion came with 3 pancakes, but it was the equivalent of 6 due to the thickness. They tasted beautiful, but despite my best efforts I couldn't finish them. My son gave it a good go too but gave in with half a pancake to spare! We were so impressed with the service and food here we have already booked for next week. So glad I found this place. It will become a regular stop for me, it was really worth the 20 minute drive!

Even though this place seems to have magnificent potential, it unfortunately has substandard execution. Noted, the decor was lovely and the coffee equally. The taste of the minimal portion of food we received was OK, however the price for what this was indeed mind boggling. But, the horrendous thing about the place, without a shadow of a doubt was the atrociously arrogant and haughty bar tender/waiter (? owner). There was a sweet and bubbly young blond waitress working. The way the bar man spoke to this poor girl was belittling, disrespectful and profoundly unprofessional, to boot, all said in front of customers. After spending last night reading reviews on best places for cake near me, I stumbled upon coffee darling. I read heaps on reviews on here and thought it’s the place for us. We arrived late morning and it was packed and after reading the negative feedback I was armed with the knowledge we might be sharing a table and we were. It wasn’t a problem for us or the couple at the other end of the table. The staff were friendly and quick to serve us. My young daughter ordered the pancakes and I had the small breakfast. They were fantastic, clean, tasty and just the right amount. I had to help my daughter with a couple of her pancakes and they were the fluffiest I’ve ever tasted. We were there for a few hours, munching and drinking tea. We were asked as a favour to move as they had booked out the table we were on to a smaller table but again were absolutely fine with and he helped us move our bits. We also made time to sample the cakes too. I can’t fault the service or the food and the price fitted the quality of it all. Myself and a friend visited for a coffee, as we hadn’t visited Coffee Darling in a while. We were asked (in a not particularly pleasant tone) if we could move as he couldn’t possibly have two people sat on the sofas. The way in which he (I assume the owner or manager) asked us to move I found rude and unwelcoming. We quickly drank and left. In future we will be going to Cobbs as we usually do. I find the other cafes in Wilton much more accommodating- with much better customer service. Shame because the coffee itself was nice, and the lady serving was really pleasant.

Me and my friend usually go to cobbs for our Friday morning coffee. But we thought as I live a few roads over we would try here for a change. The (who I assume) male manager REALLY needs to get some training in customer service. He asked us to move so he could accommodate more people. Which would have been fine, but the manner and tone in which it was asked was incredibly rude. I noticed he has already commented on previous posts commenting on his service so obviously can’t see his errors. A real shame because the host when we walked in was lovely and so was the coffee. I recommend Cobbs or Monty and Mabel’s, where you get spoken to with respect. The one hour a week we get as busy working mums to have a chat was ruined and made me feel extremely anxious. Will be letting others in Wilton know to avoid.

I recently found this little gem in Wilton whilst waiting for my car to be serviced! A very cute coffee shop which serves an excellent selection of hot and cold food. The staff are warm and friendly and there is plenty of comfy seating. If you are in Wilton and need a coffee this is the place to go....

My family and I have been regulars at Coffee Darling for a year now. I've never been disappointed with food or drinks, and particularly love the breakfast dishes and chocolate Guinness cake.

Friendly welcome on entering. Taken to an appropriate seating area. Table service; again, friendly conversation. Ordered hot chocolate, caramel latte, and a brownie. All very nice. There were a good selection of cakes to choose from, as well as a tempting brunch and lunch menu. It was pretty busy; a nice atmosphere. What I presume to be the owners were interactive with customers. The bill was on a par with any other coffee shop. If I was passing through Wilton I would come here again and recommend a stop.

Me and my wife have visited this cafe on numerous occasions and each time had been great. The monthly themed evenings are great and very popular. The food is all cooked from scratch and very tasty! Cakes and milkshakes are also great! Highly recommended

This is a great place to come and relax, drink a cup of coffee, eat a piece of cake whilst reading the paper in a comfy leather armchair or sofa. Lovely staff, great ambience and good produce. Unfortunately none of the above merit the size of the bill! We will go back, but only for a cup tea or a cold drink.

Coffee Darling is a sweet little coffee shop/cafe in the centre of Wilton. Their breakfasts are amazing and well worth. However the last time we visited it was for a light sandwich and tea. The sandwiches are delicious. Well worth a visit.

Today is the third time I have visited this cafe in 3 weeks!!! On the first visit my friends and I had cycled from Frome and popped in for coffee and cake. Being both gluten and dairy free i was delighted to be able to choose from THREE cakes on offer!!!!! This never happens for me. Added to that, the owner provides locked storage for bikes during your visit. The second time I visited with the same friends but this time for breakfast 30 miles into a 100 Mike bike ride. This time I was able to ask for anything on the menu to be adapted to my requirements.I opted for poached eggs in gluten free toast which set me up for the rest of my ride. Passing through Wilton at lunchtime today, my husband and I were in agreement as to where our lunch stop should be. The bacon and avocado toasted sandwich on gluten free bread was delicious and the owner was committed to making sure all was to my requirements. Thoroughly recommend this cafe for those with and without dietary requirements due to the quality of food and attention to detail.

One of the best breakfast that we could try in England. Tasy capuchino and genuine breakfast. Just one suggestion: fix the WC locker ;)

This is a really nice cafe, lovely light lunches at reasonable prices. The only drawback is the traffic thundering past just a couple of feet from the window. Not the proprietor's fault or responsibility, so I'd advise going to the rear and sit in the garden.

I had a couple of hours to kill in Wilton and came across this little gem. I was shown through to a lovely sunny courtyard by a very friendly waitress. I ordered the full English breakfast with Home made sausages and locally sourced bacon and a pot of tea. As I had ordered gluten free toast the chef popped out to check if I also wanted to change anything else and to confirm the sausages were gluten free. A nice touch. Wow, wow, wow. When it arrived I was so impressed I started wolfing it down straight away and forgot to take a photo. With the sun shining down in this quiet corner with just the distant hum of the town and church bells it was absolutely brilliant. Definitely finding a reason to come back.

Lovely cafe with large selection of cakes, sandwiches and decent coffee. we stopped here to refuel whilst riding King Alfred's Way. Friendly staff, clean toilets, sensible Covid precautions and next door to a little Nisa shop for anything else you need

Stopped on a trip from Cinderford to Romsey , have driven past many times but never had time to stop, husband and son had ‘small ‘ breakfast and I had toast and jam, the breakfast was a great size, quickly served and tasted great, really good value for money . Toilets and rest of premises are really clean and can’t wait to visit again

Food was lovely, my boyfriend and I haven’t enjoyed a meal as much as that in a while. Food and drinks are low price, especially considering the portion size. Service was good; they were fast and they made sure everything was okay. Definitely coming back☺️

There’s a lot of restaurants in westbury in such a small town but this is by far the best one not just in westbury but the whole of Wiltshire the only place I will eat and the prices are fantastic too recommended B’s special for someone with a big appetite like mine the only place that can defeat me A MUST TRY
