Coffee Cup Boldmere in Birmingham

It was a decent full English breakfast. The service was pretty quick and it was a good atmosphere. Recommended if you fancy a spot of breakfast.

We have visited twice over the Christmas/New Year period - 4 adults and 2 children. The food was great tasting and good value for money. The staff were lovely too - nothing was too much trouble. This is one of Boldmere's gems. Just one minor thing, please invest in some new high chairs as those you have don't look great. We love the menu board! So much choice.

Took my Mum there today and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Service was prompt and we both had cheese toasties which were delicious.

We visited last Saturday and Sunday for breakfast , the cafe was very busy,but we didn’t mind to wait for food in specially when everything is cooked from fresh. Very professional staff , and the prices are very good compared with other cafes in the area , no wonder is so busy.

Attended today 10:35, met by a young man whose greetings was ‘it’ll be 30 minutes for food’. He seemed embarrassed and out of his depth, clearing one of the tables that clearly needed clearing, He moved the table’s contents onto the counter at haste, then leaving the table needing wiping double handed the items from the table and on now on the counter into what was a kitchen with nothing on the cooking apparatus. As his attention was on decluttering the counter I asked for a cloth to wipe our table. All the while two young women looking very stressed but not actually cooking we’re in the kitchen. At this point a lady entered assuming I was staff tried to use the table I was forced to clean. The situation was both annoying and pathetic, a business that drums up such trade, that can’t service it. Staffed young folks showing their embarrassment and stress st not being able to cope. To the manager, firstly your mistitled, as nothing was actively being managed. Secondly it is such poor business to have people turn up to tables needing emptying and wiping, staff advising of half hour waits and staff nowhere need the cooking equipment rather milling around grinning nervously producing no obvious food or helping clear tables. No a review, is only snapshot, next time I visit I’ll be taking with the manager if we have to leave again to find somewhere else offering service.

I work in the general area on occasion, stopped in at this place a couple of times. Always order the full English with tea and toast, and for £11 it can't be beaten. Staff courteous, food at a great standard, and only a short waiting time. Fairly priced food, cooked well, that will set you up for the day. Would recommend.

Great food. Good service. Food was ready quite quickly , it’s a little cramped to maximise occupancy and all the tables are the same size so if it’s 1,2,3 or 4 people it’s the same size table ; so depending on what you order it may be a bit cramped. But everything was tasty and hot. Also the best Vegan sausages I’ve ever tried. (Please note I added 2 eggs to the vegan breakfast )

Friendly staff and the food was excellent had a full English 1st morning it was huge all freshly cooked and hot,2nd day I had scrambled eggs and toast again very good,also had sandwiches made to take away for our journey home, nothing was to much trouble for the staff, very nice local cafe

Was in the area for a couple of days whilst getting tattooed and happened to stumble across this place for breakfast just before my appointment. I had the “Healthy Breakfast” and a cappuccino, both of which were great! I’m a bit picky with my poached eggs, however these were done just how I like them. Everything was so good I also went back and had the same again the following morning 😊

Called for breakfast this morning. We usually go to the Vesey when we stay at the Travelodge visiting family, but spotted this nice little cafe yesterday and decided to give it a go. We are very pleased we did as the service and food were superb. The cooked breakfast was fresh, well cooked and served on a hot plate which my husband really appreciated. Coffee was spot on too. We will definitely call here again when we next visit. Great value for money.

4 of us plus baby in for brunch. Table in window, order taken as soon as we decided what we were having. Drinks arrived promptly followed by breakfasts. Great choice of platters to suit all tastes. Good service good food at reasonable prices.

Have takeaway breakfast sandwiche's here alot and also haven eaten in. Have two young children and they have proper high chairs and cater well for them. Food always lovely.

Very good but could do with a better sausage

We have been coming here weekly for a while for breakfast. Having previously been in the same trade we find ourselves hard to please when it comes to a good breakfast. This place never disappoints. The food is always perfectly cooked and is of good quality. The team take pride in what they do and it shows. Great service and nothing is too much trouble. They also have a good selection of healthy options.

This cafe is one of the cleanest and with the nicest staff around. Always welcoming and friendly. Their ingredients are always decent branded stuff, such as real lurpack butter and decent quality bread with great teas and coffee.
