Called 4th January 2020 ordered pot of tea for 2 and two leek and potato soup as shown on special board. Pot of tea came may I say only half full, asked for it to be topped up, was warm not boiling. flavourless tea . Waited over 30 mins plus for soup to arrive looked around cafe all customers had food or drink in front of them. When soup arrived small bowls only half full, we expected a nice homemade soup with maybe chunks of potato and leek, instead of possible a cheap tinned version with no flavour, the price of £4.00 each did nicked four small slices of French bread and butter. Seating very poor and uncomfortable . I could see cleanliness was an issue throughout. Really wish I had not called into the coffee corner cafe, as there are plenty of other cafes in leek

Lovely cafe just off the town centre, great coffee and homemade cakes, also a smashing breakfast choice with the added bonus their dog friendly, highly recommended 👍👍👍

£12 for two coffees and two pieces of cake is rather expensive considering none of them was anything special

Tourists passing through Leek, this is a place is a breath of fresh air for the town. A chilled out coffee shop with a pleasant atmosphere, comfy chairs and stylish decor. Skinny latte was good also! 😀

Your new cafe looks great, for us that's where it ended. So disappointing and such a shame. I've been watching you turn the old antique shop into a cafe for some time and we'd been trying to try you out for a few weeks. Unfortunately that happened mid December. We chose a bacon and mushroom sandwich from the menu £3.50, a sausage and caramelised onion baguette from the specials board £5.50, portion of chips to share £1.75 and 2 mugs of tea £4.20. Where to start? We should have been charged £14.95 but the baguette wasn't on the special section of the till so the total came to £12.75. Not sure how but that's what I was asked for. The drinks were nice and prompt but we'll have to disagree on your definition of the word mug. Your's have a very narrow bottom with a flared top and whilst I didn't check it I'd guess that the capacity of your mug is the same, if not less, than the cups you use. Tip one into the other and let me know maybe.... £2.10 for probably the same volume as a polystyrene cup. The cheap Marko fruit tea, by the way, is not nice. For the money I think you could afford to provide a better quality product but then, that's a bit of a theme at Coffee Corner Cafe. The bacon and mushroom sandwich on white bread. We didn't expect the bread to be a cheap pre-sliced loaf. I reckoned it was a thin sliced loaf, my wife is more generous in nature and thought it was medium sliced but definitely from someones value range. £3.50, no garnish and no sauces offered. Some debate about the bacon being re-heated in a microwave but she said the mushrooms were nice. My sausage and caramelised onion baguette. This really upset me actually. Enough to ask the woman behind the counter if it was usual to serve a microwaved baguette. She told me it was if they weren't defrosted from the night before. I was served a pale white, flaccid, microwaved, 'part baked' baguette that was smaller than an Aldi or Lidl 2 for 49p part bake. Inside was a sausage that I'd expect from a cheap market cafe, not quite big enough to be a chip shop jumbo sausage but a bit longer than a small one. Probably very close to the minimum 42% meat content that's the legal minimum to call it a sausage but high in the fat and connective tissue percentage. 1 sausage, sliced length ways re-heated in the microwave for certain. The caramelised onion turned out to be caremelised onion RELISH, probably a desert spoons worth served cold from the fridge. So, a cheap, soft, pappy white 'baguette' that went hard as it cooled and before I could finish one half, a cheap sausage and a dollop of relish. At the £3.50 I was charged you can only have spent 50p on ingredients. If i'd been charge the correct £5.50 I'd be spitting feathers. At least when I asked the woman about the baguette she offered me something else instead but having seen the bacon sarnie I decided to quit whilst I was ahead. We were just about to leave when a new customer arrived and made his order. As we overheard him order a portion of chips I realised that we hadn't been served ours. Not wanting to spend any more time I mentioned it on the way out saying we'd take a refund as we both had to get back to work. It took 3 of your staff looking at the iPad to realise they couldn't do a card refund. Rather than offer £1.75 in cash they faffed for a few minutes before I said they could forget it. Thereby losing the brownie points gained for offering an alternative item from the menu. So it would seem anyone can make a cafe but not anyone can run a cafe.

Parry of 32 of us went to celebrate two birthdays. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They couldn't do enough for us. The food was lovely and such big portions. Really pleased on how they managed to accommodate so many of us.
