Coffee Cat in Ipswich

Stopped for lunch on a lovely sunny Tuesday in October! I had the most delicious Cat Club sandwich. One of the nicest sandwiches I’ve ever had. The pesto made it extra yummy. Hubby had a fish finger bap. All lovely while sat outside in the sun watching the boats in the marina. Felt like we were abroad.

A great little café that makes the most of outside tables. A lovely lunch menu for a working lunch. A panni that comes with a side salad and crisp, very tasty was great value for money. Staff are very frendly.

Excellent coffee very nice fruit cake however, despite six people working behind the counter it took 15 minutes to get served with our coffe and a further eight mi utes to get the cake. Position 10 Coffee and cake. 10 Service 1

Visited here today and had croissant with salmon and cheese and side-salad. Really nice and good value in a nice space. Coffee could have been a litte bigger for price, though. This has nothing to do with the good experience we had in the cafe but during the time we were there (over an hour) a guy outside the old Debenham's store made a hideous noise with an electric guitar which we could hear from inside the cafe. Really awful. I made this known to the staff at the entrance to the cafe on the way out who said they would make this known.

Nice location and nicely presented. Covid friendlly in our experience all spaced etc. Drinks were fine as was the service . Food was nicely presented and three out of four meals were stated as very nice.

While we were happy with the food, the drinks and especially the price we were disappointed that the staff did not enforce covid policy. Kitchen staff did not wear a face covering, customers were not asked to wear them when entering and customers also went to the counter to order (while sitting in).

Only went in because we saw a sign in the window. The afternoon teas was lovely. You get to choose your sandwiches and cakes. Good price too.

We arrived just after 11am because I used the online messaging service to contact the company and I was assured that Tuesday was a quiet day bookings usually had to be taken on a Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday but anyway Stephen came to the door and he politely asked us if we would mind coming back for midda because he said to us customers were queuing out of the door this morning they were obviously more busy than they expected to be, anyway we went to the sign of the fish just down by the market had a lovely lunch and then strolled back up. I would definitely recommend booking in future and I will be coming back again because we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and Stephen told us that they will be getting some kittens they are too young at the moment to bring to the cafe but they will be coming in the near future and my daughter would love to to be able to stroke a kitten and help to socialise it.

We discovered Coffee Cat's waterfront cafe over a decade ago, and I've lost count of the number of times we have visited. Back then we found the espresso excellent and, after all this time, Coffee Cat coffee remains our benchmark. Lunches here are also consistently good in content and value. Last week I went to the Town Hall branch of Coffee Cat where I enjoyed a delicious vegan soup with half a cheese toastie.

Visited Ipswich Town Hall for lunch recently. Very impressed with the food quality and menu, as well as the prices. Will visit again in the future.

This review is for the Coffee Cat at Ipswich Quayside . Group of 4 arrived to eat and sat outside to take advantage of sunny morning. Only tables are for 2 so moved 2 together . Breakfast ordered giving 2 table numbers. Were told they were busy and would be 20 minutes - at least half the tables were unoccupied so wouldn't want to be there when really busy . After about 20 minutes 2 meals arrived , 5 - 10 minutes later food delivered to another table who had arrived and ordered after us .5 or so minutes later the other 2 meals arrived with partially cooked fried eggs . Meal returned and refunded as all other meals were getting cold . Food not that good , all food for one order should be delivered together . Shows little to no training or organisation.

Great breakfast sitting in the sun on the waterfront.

We visited the small mom 'n pop place on the waterfront, not sure if this is a branch. Simple food nicely done, we had paninis and sandwiches but they were very reasonably priced and freshly made. Wine by the glass comes in small screw top bottles. Simple and easy tables outside when weather permits, nice setting.

Excellent for computers, and office workers.

A nice setting with outdoor seating and friendly staff. Great cakes and drinks. Helpings were plentiful and service was very prompt.

Coffee is amazing. Staff are really kind. Recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing view off the boats and have a nice coffee and food

One of our favourite cafes. Relaxed atmosphere, tasty food, we've never had a bad meal and they allow well-behaved dogs. Win win!

An amazing taste of a full breakfast. The food cooked to perfection, and the bread ‘locally sourced’ make the meal enough to be full. No taste of fat, full of flavour. Delivery and service above average.
