Harvester, Ravenswood in Ipswich

We entered the restaurant around 8pm waiting to be seated. The waitresses at the venue made eye contact with us, after 5 minutes of waiting and no waitresses approaching us, a gentleman approached us and said the restaurant had run out of a lot of items on the menu. On our way out from the restaurant the gentleman and the waitresses were laughing at each other as we left. We waited a while without being served and the experience was unprofessional. We got the impression the restaurant didn’t want to serve us and we felt unwelcome.

Our server sky was very good indeed. Sky was polite, friendly and very efficient. The salad bar was lovely as were the desserts. My fish was not so good but my daughters steak was perfect.

Great food and great relaxed atmosphere. Sky our waitress was friendly, professional and made us feel like we were back at home. Felt appreciated and looked after.

Service was slow and waitress was miserable. Food was cold, ordered berry and banana pancakes which came without banana which i wasn't told was unavailable. Had to ask for jam for toast. Waited long tine just for pancakes and a fry up with only 4 tables occupied in whole restaurant. Waitress tried to charge us without giving us the bill first, had to ask for it. Very unprofessional.

I spent the day in Ipswich and then headed to Harvester for dinner. It always nice eating here. We had to wait for our chicken to be cooked but the staff was really good about us having to wait.

Loved coming here today with my son. We went for The Breakfast With Santa. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Great service, great food and a very jolly Santa Claus. We had to review The Harvester Ravenswood again as it was fantastic as always. Visited on Thursday June 9th 2022 I visited your restaurant with my son, who is 20 we had the most wonderful lunch. Your staff were so polite and attentive. One in particular who was our Server was Jackie who made us feel so welcome, she was extremely helpful to me with my disabilities. She was such a happy and bubbly personality to serve us. It was our absolute pleasure to give her a tip, this was much deserved. We had gorgeous food also that we couldn't fault everything was delicious so what's not to like. Thanks to Anita the Chef for the fantastic food we had. All in all a truly relaxing experience we had, so thanks so much. We look forward to coming back again really soon 🥰❤️😊 I dined in here again with my friend last night. The food was excellent absolutely beautiful presentation on the plates and glass goblet fantastic. I had the Chargrilled Chicken Salad Bowl it was lovely. Here is a photo of the dish. I dined here again with my son on Friday evening and as always excellent service and the food was amazing 👏.

Had a really nice birthday meal at Ravenswood Harvester. All food cooked to perfection and really tasty. The best burgers we've had in a long time too.

The service was OK but the food was disappointing chips were rock hard and the salad in are barges was old and disgusting never again

On 29th of January 2024 I had gone for a meal there with my mum not too long afterwards I started to feel sick and had stomach pains later on into the evening I was still suffering with very bad pains and then was sick so called 111 and was told go to hospital within the hour it looks like I had got food poisoning I would never go back !

Always a warm welcome here, the staff are so friendly and helpful, with nothing being too much trouble. Asked for a quiet table and got a nice one, near the entrance. The salad bar was really great with a lovely variety. Haddock and chips was delicious, as was new to menu Mediterranean tart, asked for jacket instead to chips, no problem. Our server Sarah was brilliant, really attentive and pleasant. Compliments to chef, for our lunch, it was delightful, well done.

Poor service with incorrect drink and poor quality fatty meat. Very expensive for what we got. Staff appear grumpy and lacking in customer service skills

Don't run out of chicken and jacket potatoes. After speaking to other people they all had the same problem. The company don't worry about not having enough of their signature item.ie Roast chicken.

Got a seat quite quickly given it was busy and staff were friendly but the time we had to wait for our food was ridiculous. Certain stuff on our plates was cold, wasn't checked on enough in regards to if we wanted drinks etc. We hope this was a one off

Rude staff. Booked a table of 2 for 8:15pm for myself and my partner. Arrived at 8:03pm, stood at the "please wait to be seated sign" for over 10 minutes. Wasn't spoken to by any staff members, not even a simple "sorry we're busy, we'll get to you as soon as possible". Saw 3 members of staff chatting behind the bar not doing anything. Staff kept walking past us without saying anything, got fed up of waiting and being ignored. Left at 8:14pm. Horrible experience, need new staff. not coming back.

The food come out some burnt. The staff was amazing The male we had was very friendly. But the staff was very slow. The had ran out of the chicken they do.

We decided to pit stop here while decorating shopping and I’m so glad we did. Service to start off was superb and to Olivia who went above and beyond to make me a mocha!! She was so attentive and helpful and put a huge smile on our faces. Well done!! Food was beyond expectations and so tasty!! Will be back!!

Myself and 2 friends visited today for lunch to celebrate a birthday. Our server Jackie was absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much and she went out of her way to make us feel welcome, despite being super busy. Jackie is a legend and a real credit to the restaurant. I really hope she gets the recognition she deserves!

We had a nice family breakfast here today, with good food in a relaxed environment. The young assistant looking after us was excellent, he was very friendly and attentive to our requirements, including food allergies. We have been before and will definitely go again

The visit was great. The prepayment which was compulsory for Christmas Day was a nightmare. You sent me reminder emails but the portal didn’t work, I was asked to go in and pay. I live 200 miles away. That was a bad experience.

Lovely breakfast with Santa today at the Ravenswood restaurant (Christmas Eve) Thanks so much to all the team but especially our waitress Our son has profound autism and they couldn’t have been more welcoming and inclusive! Making sure we had a nice quiet table and attentive service, food was great! we didn’t have to wait long to get to see Santa and given option of when we would like to see him Santa was patience and kind a lovely experience for all of us Thank you 😊

Came in for lunch and had jackie as our server. She was incredibly friendly and we all had a laugh. Also, the food was lovely and we will be visiting in the future!

Came for breakfast with santa and was greeted by a lovely waitress, breakfast was served pretty quickly, but my daughters pancakes had so much syrup on they were soggy so she didn't like them. My husband had the ultimate breakfast and I had the classic breakfast, the sausages were a bit rubbery and the egg was overdone but we pressed on. Anyway, fast forward to the next day and my husband has come down with the worst food poisoning I've ever witnessed. Considering the prices you charge I'm not impressed. Won't be returning!

Our lunch far exceeded my expectations, Jackie had a smiley face and so helpful with the menu. Food was plentiful with great service, choice & value for money. Send our compliments to Leigh the chef. Turkey & trimmings were cooked to perfection & served hot and promptly. We had the festive menu and it was perfect. All were too full to have the dessert . Would definitely recommend. This was my first time in the Harvester, will definitely be back. I wish I lived nearer - would save a lot of cooking & washing up. Thank you Jackie & Leigh. X

The staff were very friendly and got us rapidly seated. Our waitress Jackie was very rapid and attentive with service. The food came quickly and although there were a few items missing (an egg from one of the buns and a hash brown for one breakfast), they were very quick to get us the missing items. As for food the hash browns, fried eggs and mushrooms were amazing. The bacon and sausage were ok but the baked tomato wasn't great. They became very busy as we were about to leave but still got us the bill in a timely manner

Jackie was SO SO SO lovely! Absolutely brilliant service genuinely better than any really fancy restaurants I've been to. Will definitely been back, the Christmas deals were great and variety on the menu makes it perfect for anyone to eat there. Went for breakfast at Harvester Ravenswood today. What a treat!!! We were given a warm and friendly welcome and a great menu to choose from. Our waitress, Jackie was really attentive. She checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed and was really attentive. The restaurant was busy but we were made to feel like we were the only customers! Our lovely breakfasts were perfectly cooked by Alex. Thank you! Overall, a great breakfast treat. Lovely food, warm atmosphere, quality food and great prices. Thanks again to Jackie - you are a star.

Food was good but was super busy and needed to wait past our reserved time to be seated, twice (they accidentally double clicked my name but quickly resolved), staff were friendly and helpful.

Food was okay. We were there seeing friends and having dinner and drinks, our booking was at 7, we had eaten and were just generally chatting when at 745 the waitress was trying to force us to leave kept insisting we pay the bill when we weren't finished our drinks, literally would hang around us until we paid like we were going to run off.

First time going back to the harvester after a poor experience a while back. A massive difference in the layout the menu and service from before made it a pleasant experience when getting together with family all 14 of us. The menu had a great selection to choose from and the staff catered for our needs regarding allergies. The timing of the meals was spot on so no one was waiting for their meal while others were eating. The food was excellent with good portion sizes and freshness. I would definitely choose the harvester for our family event again and definitely recommend visiting.

Visited here as the Toby carvery next door was not able to seat us as requested. I had never visited a Harvester so decided to give it ago. After along wait our food was delivered to the table. The meals served were what I can only describe as horrific! My husband could not eat his as it was that bad.I explained to the waitress I would not be paying for that particular meal and she did take it off the bill, she was polite,helpful and apologetic, All frozen cheap produce which you are charged top money for, certainly not fresh food as described. The glasses of wine we had were extortionate prices ,I have payed less prices at top end hotels. Would never visit a Harvester restaurant again, you live and learn. Total waste of money and very poor value absolutely shocking!

Lovely place for a meal with family and friends. We came for a meal on a busy Saturday night and managed to get a table swiftly. The service was prompt and the staff cared expertly for the special dietary needs of one. The festive decorations were up and it really did feel merry and bright. Recommended!

Came in with my boyfriend for breakfast and I can’t fault the team at all. Jackie is an incredible waitress, never had a bad experience with her. If anything she deserves a pay rise. Food was incredible and hands down compliment to the chef Cornell. The shift supervisor Sarah, hands down amazing and knows how to run a restaurant. Extremely happy with the service and we’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely appalling service, ordered a main meal ( cheese pasta and spinach ) waited over 40 minutes for food and then when the food did come out the bowl had 5 pieces of pasta in it… complained to a manager and got told “ that is the portion size we are provided”. 5 pieces of pasta for £14.49? Appalling!

Ordered 2 ultimate breakfasts which sat on the hot plates for a good 5 mins or more whilst they cooked the eggs, once it was served it was then we realised that everything was luke warm and not able to eat, we were offered everything to be replaced but with having to wait we refused the offer as it would have been the same only luke warm, the air-conditioning was cold thus making the visit not enjoyable, not even some kind of refund was offered even though the waitress new of the problem. After coming here for a few years now sadly this was are last time

We had a lovely evening at the Harvester, our waitress was a lovely woman named Karen and definitely made our night. She was so lovely and made sure the meal was safe for me to eat with my coeliacs disease. We will be back again for sure!!

The harvester ravenswood is a lovely place to enjoy a breakfast,the staff are lovely and food is too,will definitely be going back.

It appeared we we not welcomed when we said we hadn't booked a reservation. He said that the place was filling up fast. Nothing could be further from the truth. About two other small groups came in while we were there. So many had left before we had finished I lost count of the empty tables around us. The food was okay the salad I picked out was the best.

Me and my family Came here after an action packed day and was greeted with a warm welcome by our server Jackie and we were given some great recommendations from the menu will definitely return for another dinner

After booking our visit a couple of weeks ago for a table of 9, we didn't have a table for us on arrival and were mate to stand and wait for over 15 minutes. Empty glasses and salad bowls weren't collected once empty. Some food was over cooked. The restaurant phone was constantly ringing and never picked up. Will not be planning on visiting again

Took my son here for a quick meal. Service wasn't great, but our server did say sorry for taking a while. Food wasn't too bad, still able to get unlimited salad to fill you up!

We had not been to a Harvester for the best part of 20 years, due to a really poor experience at our local Harvester (no longer around!). But we needed a last minute early dinner with our two 6 year old grandchildren whilst on a...
