Lovely place - great atmosphere and friendly staff. The paninis especially are lovely. It’s a nice place for breakfast too. The menu is really good value with something for everyone, I always take friends and family here when they visit.

We were in Helston to visit the nearby museum and just wanted somewhere for lunch and we found this place and glad we did. The service was very friendly and food came out quickly, especially our young kids sandwiches, which came first. Its always hugely appreciated when places bring the kids food out first and as quickly as possible. We all had sandwiches and the bread was lovely and soft. I had bacon and sausage and very much enjoyed it. My wife and I also went for the cream tea and that was excellent. You could tell the scones are freshly made, they were so soft and moist. Would highly recommend anyone to visit, we will certainly return if we are ever in Helston again.

Quick and polite service from front of house. Lovely little cafe with phone orders constantly coming through along with a good footfall. Our food was cooked to order and was hot when served. Downside bacon looked raw mushrooms could have been cooked longer they had a slight crunch. Menu looks great but you have to ask what’s included with breakfast as it’s not on the menu. It seemed everyone coming in asked the same “what’s on the breakfast”

We have been to The Coffee Bean 3 times now and enjoyed every lunch. Generous portions which are fresh and tasty. I am vegetarian and dairy free and those choices are catered for. We eat here before taking our dog for a run and dogs are very welcome in the café. Nice friendly staff, pleasant surroundings and CLEAN toilets too. Nothing to dislike.

Saturday late morning visit. Decided on breakfast and ordered a small and a BIG one. Drinks came quickly and food didn't take long at all. Was all freshly cooked and piping hot. Picture shows the BIG brekfast which my partner struggled to finish 😂 Everything was so tasty and such good value for money. The menu is quite extensive and we will definitely be back soon to try something else. Staff very friendly and spotlessly clean place. Only open until 2pm so make sure you don't leave it too late.

We went to The Coffee Bean with some friends for breakfast and we, as a family, are doing our best to support small local and independent businesses. We are so glad we did. From the second you enter, you are greeted warmly and all Covid related info is clear with signage, etc. The dining area is laid out to fully enable physical distancing and staff wear PPE (visors). We ordered a variety of breakfasts - regular and large - and these were tasty, plentiful and excellent value. This is a fantastic cafe, and we will definitely eat here again.

Myself and a friend popped in today as we both fancied a breakfast. I had the large, and my friend had the regular. The portion size is huge! My eyes were definitely bigger than my belly (tho that didn'tstop me from eating it all!) But will say what great value they were. Really tasty too. Staff were really friendly, and we will definitely be back, and treat ourselves! Do not be tempted to go to Wetherspoons over the road. Help support local business such as this wonderful place.

Having checked out Trip Advisor, we thought we would give this place a go. It was my 50th birthday, so we decided to go out for breakfast. We're so glad we did choose this place. We got there just after 9.30am, so just after it opened. The breakfast was massive, it very nearly cancelled our plans for eating in the evening. Two of us had the big breakfast and a coffee each for £20. I understand people need to keep their prices cheap to pull people in through the door, but I really don't know how they do what they did for this price, especially as 20% of that total is VAT. The staff were all very pleasant and polite. We're not local as such, but own a caravan a few miles away so will be using this establishment again. I really hope they keep busy, they deserve it!

I found this little gem whilst looking for a coffee. From the outside it is unassuming and even a bit old fashioned. I have worked in the food industry for a number of years. This little cafe done its own thing, and by how full it was it showed it’s working. No paella or curry. Nojust good old fashioned British fare all day cooked breakfast. But we had home made shepherds pie it was not the prettiest meal but the taste was sublime. It came with seasonal vegetables cooked perfectly cooked, I had scampi and chips again cooked perfectly they were plump and lightly coated the chips crisp and fluffy my peas cooked on point. The cups of tea were made to our fussy standards strong builders type tea. You can find any number of places cooking food from round the world. But it’s hard to find a place that cooks homemade food and cooks it well. The staff service was amazing all the staff were happy and smiling and even allowed our old dog in and made him welcome. This is a little gem that should not be overlooked we have lost our identity and our peasant dishes. It’s places like this that keep proper slow cooked food alive every town should have one. I left out that the whole meal for two including cups of tea were less than £20.00 a bargain that left us full for the rest of the day.

We would highly recommend this if you’re staying locally or passing through Helston - costs for 2 adults, 1 teen and 1 child of 8 were £22/24 for breakfasts and drinks so good value and a chance to support locally run businesses. We popped in for lunch and had some lovely food. We all had a ice cream milk shake and was disappointed as they literally put a scoop of ice cream in a milkshake. How it was detailed on the menu is a milkshake made from milk and ice cream but the ice cream was randomly floating. It was nice but not what we expected. The food was nice and hot and didn't take long to come out. The portion size was perfect and prices are reasonable. Would recommend this cafe for a lunch.

Siempre comer aquí cuando nos visite Helston. No bueno, básico, comida bien preparada.

The waitresses were friendly and efficient. We ordered a variety of things which were all well cooked, delicious and reasonably priced. My leek and potato soup was filling and warming; the omelettes were big and delicious; the jacket potatoes were both well filled with cheese and bacon. The children's meals of sausage and chips were enjoyed. We always like to visit independent coffee shops and this one deserves to do well.
