Cod's Plaice in Camden

Fish was fresh and the chips were well cooked. Clean oil used good eating experience . Not the biggest portions.

This is a high quality fish and chips shop near Kilburn Tube station I have been going to for a couple of years. The interior is recently refurbished and is always spotlessly clean. The food is always freshly prepared and is of excellent quality. The service is efficient and friendly.

Friendly service just by kilburn station. I tend to call as they cook your desired item fresh. Lovely fish and crispy outside yet fluffy inside chips. Reasonable prices and good portions. Family run business so the passion shines through. Try it!

I love a good fish and chip shop and I truly appreciate that this place is always CLEAN. It smells clean and is always sparkling when I am in there. We live quite close so it’s an easy option to pop in for some lunch/dinner. I think they always cook your order fresh! They have some food on display under the heat lamps but when you order, they pop exactly what you want in to cook so you not only get it super hot and fresh, you don’t have to wonder how long your order has been sitting under those lights... Very friendly staff, always alert and ready. Good selection on the menu. A member of staff once told me to get the kids portion and I always do! It’s the perfect size for a satisfactory meal and the price is ideal! Thanks!

Excellent fish and chips and really friendly, family run plaice ;-) - sampled the delicious Kung Pao chicken as well - superb.

The place is very near my house. So I went there a few times for take aways. Very clean and spacious. The lady at the counter is ever so nice always. The Haddock I always order is always good. Can't complain about anything really. I wish them success.

I judge a good Fish & Chips by how good it is as compared to Seashells at Lisson Grove, and Blue Pebbles in Hatchend, Harrow. If you have not heard of these two, check their reviews. At Cod Plaice, I dare say, from my first visit yesterday, the cod is definitely thicker, moist, looks and taste fresher than any I had eaten in the past 12 months. Even better than a specialist, posh fish restaurant at the Marina in Portland. To test the difference between a good fresh fish and a boring frozen one, try a portion at a place such a Whetherspoon, and a week later, try Cod Plaice. You will be surprised at your first discovery of what a cod should taste like. Notice the colour and texture are different. Then try the cod at your local fish and chips, and compare with Cod Plaice. If they are just as good, then consider yourself lucky. I bet they might not match the price at Cod Plaice. Don't just judge by my words, look at the picture I took. Then try it. Quick, a queue is forming outside.
