Overall It's ok, and just ok at that. The chippy when 1st arrived, elevated with its curiosity a draw to this shopping area and was a bit of a star, however quickly though it's become reflective of the area, style over substance. It hasn't done anything special to warrent a special reputation. Make excellencent flavoured batter and beautifully light flaky Cod fish. Make your own curry sauce. Break the mould with your chips, steak chips perhaps, a dusting of flavouring maybe, crispy outside, fluffy in the middle. Do this well and stars will shine again.

They got my order wrong the chips were cold the sausage was hard and very dry .the kebab meat came dry not to my liking

Very good food. Not moved to tiny portions like the other fish and chips shops around the area and honestly it tastes good. Only thing is that it's in a crowded area so can get busy outside if you are sat inside.

It's a great place. I went there for the first time. I recommend it. You can't find it in Bedford. The staff is amazing. 😊😋👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I always get a fish cake standard size today gave me a mini one called them up the guy goes it’s always been the sane size I just hang up.

Never returning found dead fly in food and second visit after trying once again found hair in food. After finding my food contaminated I will NEVER return here extremely disappointed

I called and asked for a large chips and asked them if I can have them extra cooked so they're crunchy. The worker on the phone said how can I cook you chips well done and for others I do it normal? 👏 I said if you can't thats fine I'll go elsewhere and I put the phone down. They then phoned me back 20 minutes later saying my chips were ready 😆 Will never go here again, very disappointed with the service over the phone.

Scam. They saying thay do chicken doner kebab I ordered one to receive grill chicken brest and when queried thay said they don't do chicken doner! Also price on menu was 7 .5 and I paid £10. Avoid this place! I'm taking my my crappie "kebab " back !

One of the best fish and chips I have eaten, recommend.

Pretty decent food. Loads of selection. Hugs serving are always very nice to me and kids. Never had any issues, however portion sizes can vary so we never know which size to for. They also do not take card so that can be a bit long winded

food has become awful, members of staff have become very rude, he always has his kids running around the shop and in and out of the kitchen, health and safety need to shut this place down!

It's OK because its local but not a favourite. Fish in batter was a mess last couple of times, it was sloppy & wet with soggy batter only live 3 minutes away so not wrapped long.

Good chippy with a range of choices. Good portion size. Seems popular as generally busy when I go. Being able to park nearby is a bonus.

Wow. Had a veggie burger and large chips. They have red cabbage for the burger and it's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside (like an armadillo): delish! The chips have some subtle flavour instead of the usual neutral flavour you might expect, and they're pretty tasty even the day after. Got just over 1kg of the chips in my portion 👌 Prefer them to andy's, and they're a bit cheaper too!

Well I ordered a portion of chips which were good enough, the only thing that got me was that before my chips were wrapped up, the server took back some chips off my portion. I mean if your paying £2.20 for chips you really want a complete portion. Come on Codfatherstop stealing back the chips. I want them all!!

I like this place. Good food. Good choice. Reasonably priced. Very clean and the staff very friendly. Plenty of places to park. Well worth a visit.

These guys moved in a year ago, the food portions are ample as well as super fresh, even the oil used in the frying of the foods tastes good, they're a friendly bunch and always greet you through the door, not pricey at all with good bang for the buck!

Cheapest chippy in Bedford, have indoor dining, toilets, and the staff are great. Food is fast, cooked well, and you get a hell of a lot for so little. Family of five dine for a tenner! ❤️
