Cod Almighty in Southampton

Went in this establishment for the first time. Owner had a sour face and served me with possibly the worst chips I've ever eaten. "Soggy and had a strange taste which got me to the point of feeling sick" Chips went I the bin. Disappointed. Mean how can you get chips so wrong?! First and last and last visit.

Might wanna update your profile on uber eats etc. says on apps you’re open until 10pm so I had my order cancelled at 9.15pm. Awesome.

Second time been over an hour late have told my partner not to order from here as it arrives stale

Extra large kebab is a joke...came served on the lid so shallow side. All the meat just about covered the pitter bread with a mountain of dry salad on top.called the restaurant to say I was not happy and told that's their portion side. Even though it is the same size as a small wich I have had before just comes with more salad. Great job Cod Almighty. Avoid

Food was cold and delivery took nearly 2 hours to arrive

If i could give no stars i would argumentative that the order hadnt been recieved before saying that it had been delivered after 3 hours from ordering it arrives and was the worst meal ive had in a long time Poor customer service poor food

If it’s going to run this late you should update the right time rather than sending updates with new times of delay, and then give the customer a choice to cancel their order so they can make other arrangements

Don’t answer the phone if you have an issue, had to buy another kebab elsewhere

Nice delivery driver but very late. Cold drink in with hot food that surprise, surprise was very cold and the drink not. I requested the food to be made a specific way that was totally ignored. £20+ of donor meat fit for the bin & chips full of scrappy bits. If the burger has more than 45% meat content I’d be surprised. Never again.

unfortunately the food was very cold and the chips were horrible shame as we usually order from here.

the initial delivery was late but only by about 15 mins. but part of the order was missing which meant we waited another 25mins. the first food arrival was cold so by the time we had to wait for the missing food to arrive (which wasn't hot either) and heated it all through again, it wasn't particularly enjoyable. disappointing for what was meant to be a Friday treat.

when the food finally arrived it was semi warm and all mushy. even the ice freak was semi soft.

Unfortunately my note was completely ignored 😔 Delivery was due 17.10 - 17.30, at 16.45 my Assistance dog slightly restless. I went to the door thinking that she was being daft. She wasn't a tiny tap and thankfully I heard it. No vinegar/salt 😔

Unfortunately the food is really bad. Very cheap and weird tasting. Presentation is very strange too.

Not as good as usual. Late delivery due to being pushed back. Food quality suffered badly by cremated chicken which simply had to be thrown away.

Cold food wrong items delivered

Changed delivery time twice, took over 2 hours i rang to complain they said it wouldn't be much lounger, that was another hour plus. I asked to cancel the order because i didnt want cold food, i was assured it wouldn't be cold, but it was stone cold.

Lovely 😍 cheesey chips were lovely, fishcake had lots of flavour, gravy was nice and thick and battered mushrooms were amazing! The only issue I encountered was missed out a portion of cheesy chips, will claim back through Just Eat. Definitely recommend and will be ordering again. Thank you 😊

Estimate for delivery was 30 minutes, after an hour I called to enquire and was hung up on! How rude! Food eventually arrived and was definitely not worth waiting an hour and a half for! Avoid if yo you want your food this week!

The food was good except unfortunately they forgot the chips but to their credit they did rectify the problem quickly. Worth a try

took over 40mins to get here from AFTER last timed delivery food was barely warm and I ended having to microwave my dinner to eat it. if this happens again I will STOP USING THEM, I suspect they been delivering several orders, a food bag won't keep food HOT OVER 40MINS my ADVICE AVOID THIS PLACE AS QUALITY HAS GONE THRU FLOOR IF CAN'T DELIVER HOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Kid bite meal the fish tasted and smelt off this was a great place I didn't phone and complain as I have heard people have been told to f off and to be honest don't need the hassle will definitely not be going back such a shame it's gone so down hill

I’ve used Cod Almighty for sometime and it has always been very good. However, today was very disappointing. I had fish and chips and my son had a battered sausage. It was cold to the point of putting in the microwave and the fish was overcooked. I may have to try somewhere else next time

while the delivery was early the food was dry and not very nice. . alot of it went into the bin. Will not use them again

there was no cheese on my loaded cheese and beans think its a disgrace they cant get order right but i loved the service it was quick and easy

I ordered 3 double cheeseburgers, 2 with mayo and salad and one with ketchup no salad, all 3 came with salad and 2 with mayo AND ketchup. So one person couldn’t eat theirs as they are autistic and cannot have sauces mixed. On top of that the chips just tasted like old deep fat fryer oil. Will never be ordering from here again.

Ordered at 17:45. Due between 18:25 and 18:45. Marked as delivered at 18:55 despite not arriving. I called the restaurant to be told it was on the way and the delivery driver had "marked it as delivered by mistake". Likely marked as delivered because they knew they were late. Didn't arrive until 19:05. The curry sauce was basicslly water so that went down the sink. The chips were cold and the fish/sausage was overcooked. Awful experience.

Fish was not nice off, shop sent replacement but was not eaten because of the smell and taste of first fish.

I thought Last time I ordered it wasn't good but gave it another go,but this order especially the Kebab was cold,only 1 slice tomato 1 slice cue it was the worst,and the chips were cold.It has made me sad.

unusually the food was stone cold and arrived 35 minuets after the its on its way message, 20 minuets after the estimated time, the pasty looked like it had been re heated it had hard pastry. the fish was over cooked the whole meal was as if it was reheated from lunch times left overs, very disappointing. defiantly not worth the long wait.

This was the worst food order we’ve ever had, not only was the delivery late which we were informed of but when it arrived it was stone cold and inedible. We’ve picked at it and the majority of it has gone in the bin.

Always hit and miss, one time the kebab will be spot on and the next time it will be in a pool of grease basically inedible

Some of the order arrived 45 minutes after the stated delivery time. The rest of the order, (after I had phoned), arrived much later. The food was of poor quality and, not surprisingly, cold. Loads of excuses given for lateness.

ordered food 18.09 turned up 2000 shop took order to be here 19.15 then rescheduled delivery again because of other deliveries not impressed. then driver should been here by 19.35 latest. food turned up 8pm because driver had another delivery before mine again and got stuck on road in traffic allegedly. phoned shop could not careless from what I could make out just it's on its way. I don't normally leave reviews thought I will this time!!! hopefully people understand this poor service

The food was good the only down fall was it was delivered to my works an hour early

The chips were like warm and the sausages in batter were dry and hard. Think we had the dregs as it was 8-30pm won’t order again.

This was once a great chip shop... What happened...? Chips where hot but... If I could leave no stars I would. The rest of the Food was cold to the point of some items being hard... I didn't get what I ordered.... I was charged higher prices than stated in the menu.... In a word Slop Not fit for consumption Terrible chip shop.

The plaice was overcooked and quite greasy but the chips and mushy peas were fine so all in all a nice hot meal.

I have ordered several times from Cod Almighty via Just Eat and never been disappointed. The portions are large and the fish has been very good. Nice veggie burgers too. Will definitely be a repeat customer in the New Year.
