Cocoa Skye in Highland

It's difficult to rate a cafe at 10h00 on a cold Thursday morning in February but after a dog walk in the dunes and waiting for a car repair we found just the place to satisfy all our requirements: a friendly welcome in pleasing surroundings, a breakfast choice extraordinary for the region and date and food which exceeded expectations. We had cappuccinos plus bacon and egg sandwiches: great eggs (2) cooked to perfection, proper bacon rashers and thick cut multiseed bread. Puts to shame the limited offerings elsewhere: we will return

Despite being dangerously close to closing time they still rustled up a tasty toasty, let me have a cake and made a delicious coffee and didn't rush me out at closing time. I am not advising you do this yourselves but just saying how nice the cafe was to let me chill out when they had the rights to chuck me out. Star stop when passing through Brora I'd say.

Lovely cafe with amazing cake, coffee and one of the best Caramel hot chocolates I've ever had! Would definitely recommend a stop here if you're doing the NC500 to support the local community, 2 drinks and a slice of cake was £12.

Went for lunch with daughter and her fiance. Soup was lovely and they had various options for dietary needs. Good food at reasonable price always go in when we're up. Needs.

Finishing off the NC500 and called in here for a Latte and Walnut/Coffee cake. Lovely place, clean, with polite staff, and good cake/coffee. Hard stand parking outside for motorcycles too.

Had our lunch there, food was good, and service was very good.

I accidentally walked in once expecting nothing and today I find myself considering driving up from Inverness just to visit this cafe. Excellent coffee served in beautiful mugs and waffles with plenty of toppings on them... compared to some places where you get one berry and sad puff of whipped cream on the side. Great value for the money, keep it up!

Get the hot chocolate with everything, you won't regret it. It powered me up a big climb to take in incredible views.

C'était délicieux. Quel bon moment de détente sur la route 500. On rêvait par temps pluvieux et venteux de trouver de quoi nous réchauffer. Les gaufres sont excellentes et bien hautes. Le Milk shake Nutella délicieux d'après les enfants et mon mocha c'était 1 vrai mocha. Parfait.

A nice wee stop-off on our way from Caithness to Glasgow. Excellent hand made chocolates, good coffee and kind service. You can buy an assorted set of chocolates to take away too.

Good (strong!) coffee, fresh cakes. Light, spacious and airy. Dogs are made welcome.

I have tasted many many many scones on my 16 days here in Scotland and the cheese scones here were the absolute best I have tried. So worth it! Go here, get amazing scones!

Visited in June on the back of hearing a rumour that it has the best hot chocolate you'll have ever tasted . . . It was, simply delicious - definitely worth 20 minutes of anyones time if passing. Great space, lovely staff and very morish treats.

Amazing hot chocalate and waffles. Soup/sandwich combo also very nice. We stop here everytime we pass through Brora. A bonus, the cafe is dog friendly.

Excellent coffee shop, although bistro is probably a better description. My wife and I dropped in for a light lunch. Really good home made soup and their own sandwiches.....just as you would expect . It's a bright spacious place with very large windows (formerly a dress and clothes shop I think). Staff are friendly and enthusiastic. Takeaway is available. Plenty of parking outside the shop. Don't miss Cocoa Skye, it's just off the main road in the square beside the railway station.
