Two good friends of mine hired The Queen's Head for a private function in late July. The pub is a straightforward 20-minute walk from Euston station, but there are a couple of Undergrounds (Russell Square and Holborn) nearby. It was a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and great decor (many oil paintings of previous monarchs plus a statement Gent clock). Plenty of seating available too. We didn't try any food prepped on-site, the buffet was sourced elsewhere and brought in, but all drinks were provided by the pub. The couple of drinks I had were great - it's a shame they don't do mocktails, but the ginger beer was strong and spicy, served in a good solid tumbler. We had the place to ourselves for three hours and were well looked-after. I'm not in London often but if I found myself in the area again I'd be happy to drop in for some more of that ginger beer!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding reception! From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted by the most friendly and welcoming staff we could have hoped for. Their warmth and enthusiasm made us feel like we were among friends, and that set the tone for the entire evening. The location itself was absolutely stunning. The pub was beautifully designed and decorated, creating a charming and cozy atmosphere that was perfect for our celebration. It provided the ideal backdrop for our special day, and our guests were in awe of the venue's charm. One aspect that was particularly important to us was finding a gay-friendly venue, and we were thrilled with the inclusive and accepting environment the pub offered. It was clear that they not only welcomed but celebrated all forms of love, which meant the world to us and our LGBTQ+ friends and family. Our wedding reception at this venue was an unforgettable experience, thanks in no small part to the incredible staff, the fantastic location, and the warm and inclusive atmosphere. We couldn't recommend this venue more highly for anyone looking to celebrate their love in a truly special place.

I was tempted in by a menu including a flatiron steak and chips for £16. When this was unavailable I asked about a lamb kofta and pitta bread but that wasn’t available either. So I opted for a beef burger gherkin and cheese with chips. And very good it was too. A nice atmosphere in a long room between entrance and open-plan kitchen beneath a large clock. Very pleasant efficient and apologetic service. But no coffee until 2022.

My family have had several events here in the past and I recently hired the pub for private hire for my 21st birthday. Everything was done exactly how I wanted, they were able to accommodate special menu requests, managed to get a later license so we could have the venue to our desired time and put up fairy lights to accommodate the 1920s theme. The food was so tasty, we had finger food/canapé style spring rolls, mozzarella sticks, stuffed potato skins and chips and sweet potato fries. Everyone commented on how delicious everything was. The cocktails at the pub are also delicious and I particularly enjoyed the dark and stormy that was made for me, as a present from the team; they also supplied a couple of extra bottles of Prosecco on top of what I had preordered. Everyone there on the night was so lovely and helpful, everything went so smoothly and could not have asked for better service or a more accommodating team. Shoutout to Chris (who looks like Johnny Depp) for really going above and beyond to create a friendly atmosphere and make sure I could ask for whatever I needed on the night, really appreciated tho e great service :) Unfortunately most of the photos are of guests and not the venue but I’ve attached a few so you can see how nice it really is, especially when the fairy lights and balloons are up! Thank you so much everyone !! Xx

I visited this bar, which is perfectly situated in the heart of London for a drink on weekday afternoon. The staff were pleasant and the bar was decorated well, I sat by the window which is good for watching the world go by. My only issue is that they do not accept proper money, only card payments, which is a great shame. As the customer, cash is my preferred payment choice, and as the original method of payment, I feel this form of tender should be accepted.

We visited here a few times on our recent trip as staying around the corner at the premier inn. All the staff were friendly answering any questions we had and offering tips which made our trip so much easier. We didn’t eat here although the food looked good and was reasonably priced. Would go again if in the area.

Really great to find a good range of decent (and different) ales - nice to have 'choice'. Although we didn't have time to eat a full meal here, the menu looked to offer a good vegetarian selection as well as lots of other dishes. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere and look / feel of the pub. We look forward to coming back here the next time we're in London. (Another small 'plus' - this pub has the comfiest bar stools we've ever sat on!).

We're both cider drinkers and many places we go don't offer any decent ciders on tap and only have a small selection of bottled cider. Here, there are a few ciders on draught all of which are decent. The food was very good. We started with the scotch eggs and they tasted great. Then it was pie and mash and the pork belly for mains. Lots of food and really good quality. For pudding we just squeezed in a white chocolate torte. We got a very friendly welcome and the service was very good throughout the evening. If we were in the area in the future and looking for food or a quick drink we'd definitely be back here.

We went as a group for lunch, around ten of us.The beers were good, with a nice selection for new beer snobs like I am.The pulled pork sandwich was tasty, but the fries were awful - oven cooked, frozen, crinkle cut chips. What a waste of money. And the garlic kale wasn't worth the prize by any stretch - pretty soggy and tasteless. One of the bar staff was very friendly and helpful when I asked about a couple of the beers. The woman serving, on the other hand, was fairly unfriendly and even a bit curt, especially when I queried the amount of money put on the car.May return for beers but definitely won't bother with food.

This place has undergone a number of transformations over the years from pub into wine-bar bistro Coco Momo now back into a boozer with added grunge. That is part of the BrewDog stable (or should I say kennels) is apparent from the sign hanging in the rear part of this place, but more obviously from the impressively wide range of beers both bottled and on tap. Presumably it's more of an evening dive because apart from staff members this place was empty this Tuesday lunchtime. I wasn't expecting great shakes from the food assuming it played second fiddle to the booze, but was pleasantly surprised by a large fry-up of sausages, fried eggs, curly kale and sweet potato slices which rather hit the spot.

I wanted to check out this recently refurbished pub in my neighbourhood, returned to it's original name of the Queens Head and featuring an American inspired menu of burgers and salads under the subtitle of Hallowed Belly. The atmosphere is welcoming enough and they haven't strayed too far from the current trend for wall tiles, untreated wooden benches and brushed steel. Staff are friendly and attentive, the beers are good. The food, however, is bland and overpriced. The burger claimed to be made from chuck steak but seemed more like over cooked supermarket mince. Brioche bun was soggy and lacking sweetness. The whole thing would benefit from some salt and pepper let alone fresh and crispy salad. At £9 you might expect chips with your burger, but I had to shell out an eye watering £3.50 for a cup (yes, a cup) of crinkle cut chips that would be overshadowed in head to head with McCain's oven variety.I won't be going back.

After waiting over 20 minutes at the bar to be served, I politely asked if I could be served next as opposed to the couple that had just turned up to my right, only to be told that I wasn't within their 'serving area' and then asked another member of staff, only to be met with the same response, despite the fact that I was pretty much smack bang in the middle of the bar. At that point I left the bar area as nobody was going to serve me a drink. I eventually managed to pay about £9 for a half measure pornstar martini, which usually served with a separate shot of prosecco, was not in this instance, instead a thimble measure was poured into the drink itself. The cocktails are very expensive and overpriced for what they are and I found the staff really quite rude and unhelpful. Not a good first visit and I won't be coming back

This was a convenient location to meet friends that had relocated to London and worked nearby. Apparently it’s a favorite spot for the office staff. I just had my 30th birthday party at Coco Momo and was so utterly impressed with the experience that I felt moved to write my first trip advisor review for a bar!I wanted somewhere I could hire out without having to pay more than a minimum bar spend, somewhere I could play music, somewhere I could get some nice canapes, somewhere central, somewhere relaxed, somewhere I could decorate a little bit, and somewhere with a big range of drinks on offer. I thought perhaps I was expecting a little too much (!). But then I came across Coco Momo and popped in and met the fantastic Natalija (manager). The whole team were nothing but hugely accommodating and helpful throughout. The let me adjust a canape menu to suit my budget, let me bring in a cake, let me decorate the bar, hosted my playlist on spotify, and answered any questions I had really quickly and helpfully. As it turned out, my siblings had also been liaising with them secretly to organise playing a surprise video they'd made me, and they were super helpful with them too.On the night itself, they were so friendly and really added to the great atmosphere of the party. The canapes were delicious, drinks were also and so many to choose from (including non alcoholic cocktails which was nice to be able to offer my non-drinking friends). They helped us set up, pack away, and made the whole evening a great experience. What's more, they've just emailed to thank me (it should really have been the other way round!) and offer me a free bottle of prosecco. If you want good customer service and a great private venue for your party, go here. Thanks Natalija and everyone at Coco Momo!Jess

I visit here on average twice a week as its the nearest venue to my office. Staff are always friendly and generally the women staff are betting at recognising you and making you feel welcome.Outside can't be booked but you can book window seats inside which are nice, outside can be a little loud as the road is so busy. Unlike their sister restaurant in Marylebone, it is all table service here but they are happy for you to just have a coffee or a glass. Its great its open for breakfast and the eggs benedict are to die for.Drinks are not cheap, nor is the food. Also the menu is a little limited and doesn't change too much. There are no real sandwiches as such and the salads at around £11 each are disappointing. I tend to stick to the breakfast options that are available all day.Being a regular, was a little disappointed to not get even a cheeky glass of Prosecco on the house for my birthday, but i'm over it. Its a good venue for me working on Theobalds Road, so i'll stick with it,

Coco Momo is not really a cafe or even just a bar, but rather a brasserie, albeit one with a rather limited menu which stretches little beyond brunch-fare sandwiches and salads to a main of chicken and chips and a handful of desserts. A special of the day was a Welsh rarebit. But on the evidence of the steak sandwich I chose what it does do it does well. It comprised slices of steak in a tomato salsa on sourdough bread. I ordered an accompaniment of fries. There is a fairly extensive wine list with six or more reds and whites served by the glass in two sizes. A double espresso I ordered was smooth and creamy. Service was both prompt and efficient.

The Mojito was great, but the Cobb Salad was VERY disappointing. For £ 11.00 we got a few lettuce pieces, one egg, one tomato, a few strips of chicken and if you hunted hard enough, about 6 small cubes of avo and bacon. The dressing seemed to be simple mayo. The presentation was underwhelming and it looked more like a very bland small starter salad. The total value of that salad was about £3/4 and it left us needing to pick up a snack on the way back to the office! We left having paid about £45 for three of us and left feeling hungry!!I never bother to write reviews, but felt so ripped off, I had to comment.I can make a better value, more tasty and more satisfying Cobb salad for £11 at home!Wont be coming back for another one.
