Very tasty toasted sandwiches and above average coffee. 2 young girl staff members were extremely pleasant and helpful. Seating at the window looking out at the torrential storm was an unexpected treat after trying to get into Johnston's which was hot and overcrowded.

Was with daughters and grandchildren. Looked at the menu on line for menu and opening hours. We sat down at 3.30 and we all were looking forwards to the toasties but to be told the toastie machine had been turned off and cleaned because it was quiet. This was 3.30 and it shuts at 5.00 o'clock. Found this very unprofessional. Weather it's quiet or not the end of day stuff should be done at the end of day.would have been a case of plugging it back In and serving what the customer wanted. Will certainly not be returning.

Having some time to shove in while waiting for someone, we popped into this café. It was busy but service was prompt. I had the Cullen Skink soup & a brown roll & butter. It was delicious! The others had coffee & scones. The scones were on the large size but were really tasty. We thought it was a great idea to site a café in the library as it certainly drew the crowds in.

Nipped in for a quick bite and had a thoroughly scrummy lunch. Hubby and I both had Cullen Skink and a half sandwich. Also a Hawaiian slice. Very busy place - lots of kids as it was half term. Great selection of food - friendly and efficient staff. Very reasonable too! Well worth a visit.

Welcomed by two very friendly ladies. Cheese scones are lovely and the tea is nice with a decent teapot that actually pours. Would thoroughly recommend

This is a cafe in the Elgin library building. They offer a decent menu of lunch items. Service is friendly and helpful, if a bit amateur. Limited seating but there is a bit more outside. The cullen skink is incredibly creamy and very tasty. All good

Cobbs is housed in part of the library in Elgins Cooper Park. They do a varied selection of wraps, baked potatoes and sandwiches. The food is very good as is the service. On top of all this the coffee is excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Make your visit after 12.00 noon and the car parking in the park is free.

I generally pop in here after parkrun to have a Coffee and a GF Cake, as a Coeliac I know Cobbs cater for me. I was a bit dismayed today. I went in to the cafe and saw a Gluten Free label on a tupperware tun and in it were cup cakes, battenburg and some other cakes. I went to take a cake and mentioned that it was a good selection of gluten free cakes, when I was told that it was only the cup cake was gluten free, this means that a GF cake was mixed in with "normal" cakes, meaning a high risk of cross contamination. THis does not normally happen in here, but thought it was worth mentioning as I could easily have picked a non GF cake and suffered the consequences, I did opt for the packet brownie. Hopefully this was an over sight and possibly new staff who hadn't received allergy training

I had lunch here with a friend. I had the chicken and rice soup with a wholemeal roll. It was delicious. I had a pot of fresh peppermint tea. My friend had tomato and sweet potato soup and a sandwich and red berry tea. Service was quick and efficient and it was great value for money. Next time I am in Elgin, I would definitely go again.

Cobbs is part of the library complex and overlooks Cooper Park and its lake. Our soups, vegetable and cullen skink, were very flavoursome and hot. Service was prompt. We returned there for tea and cake after we had explored Elgin. The date slice and Hawaiian slice were both tasty. The cafe was busy both times, a good indication of its popularity.

No había cola. Me paraba en la barra durante un rato esperando a ser notado. Finalmente, me.

Absolutamente indignado

Cobbs is a very pleasant little cafe, part of the Elgin Library complex and overlooking Cooper Park and its boating pond. Because of its large windows, it's has a nice airy appearance.

Cobbs cafe is next to the Elgin Library and overlooks the Cooper Park and boating pond. It is not a large cafe but usually tables are available, the staff have provided a good range of drinks, snacks and cakes. The food and drinks are good quality and rasonably priced, staff are pleasant and efficient. You should combine it with a walk around the Park, view the Cathedral and it is a few minutes from the town centre which has a wide range of shops.

Good food, nice relaxed atmosphere and nice attentive staff. Will be back to try the soup. Reading others comments about how the previous "owners" had lower prices? That's because it was Moray Council and the place haemorrhaged cash. Nice to see it viable and profitable in private ownership, paying rent to Moray Council as opposed to draining recourses that will keep the library funded.

Had a quick break whilst waiting for partner change her books. Unlike the previous tenants who had sensible prices for tea, coffee and snacks. Cobbs prices are somewhat higher . The cafe was not full unlike before cobbs, when it would have been.

We loved this small cafe which we found in Elgin Library in Cooper park. Home baking and beautiful home made soup- a huge bowl too. There were three different soup of the day varieties, difficult to choose. The coffee was excellent- I'm fussy but this was strong enough and a lovely big mug. Even though the cake I wanted seemed to be finished, the girl found some in the fridge so I enjoyed a lovely big slice of coffee cake. I loved that there was a jug of lemon water to help yourself to- and dog biscuits free for customers' dogs. I'd recommend this cafe for quality and very friendly service.

Myself and my family ate here today, 11th of Mau after a nice trip to the library. The food we ordered was very tasty, but the service from staff was extremely disappointing. Not at all interested in the customer and quite rude! One member in particular! As for the cafe, it is very small and cramped with to many tables hard to move around and be seated comfortably

Awesome place with a gigantic choice of scotch whisky as well as a large collection of japanese whisky. This combined with a absolutley cozy atmosphere, delicious food and very very friendly staff makes it a fabulous place to spend the evening. I had the classic haggis balls as a starter, the fish&chips as main and toffee cake as a dessert. Everything was just outstanding. It was so good, we will pay it another visit tonight.

DO not make the mistake of going after 1530 as they only serve coffee and cakes then and you must sit outside

Great place with relaxed atmosphere. Starters and main meal was tasty but the desert was tasty but a very small portion of sticky toffee pudding. I did mention it when paying and the staff didn't even say anything. I expected more from the manager.

We highly recommend Threaplands. Perfect for buying a memorable gift, or some plants. But, also for the cafe there, which offers a great selection of food (all table service). We recently bought our Christmas tree here and will certainly be visiting often. Very friendly staff and plenty of free parking
