Excelente personal profesional amable, brillante elección de productos frescos con un menú inventivo. Gran elección de bebidas a precios nada tontos, se tuvo una muy buena noche.

Nos entristece que la Costa, que siempre está ocupada, haya cerrado sus puertas de forma permanente. Woolton Village no será lo mismo con una serie de otros negocios cerrados. Aunque no frecuentamos costa tan a menudo que dan un gran saludo al gerente, propietario y personal.

I am not sure if the place has new owners or simply new staff , but when emptying the portafilter it is not a competition to make the banging of it as loud as possible, the racket that was being made was ridiculous. I am not sure if they were understaffed but there were large crumbs of cake on the chair, other crumbs on the table and even on the saucer. There is a fair amount of competition in the village and it simply isn't unto scratch any longer.

Nice independent cafe, good cup of tea and coffee, but I would say the cake is mediocre at best, quite dry. However would happily visit for a tea or coffee again.

Popped in for brunch whilst having a stroll around Woolton village. Decent food and service. The Hollandaise sauce on my eggs Benedict was to thin for my liking but eggs were delicious

Lunch with my sister and as always good food and service. We like it here as you can linger over your coffee and no rush for you to vacate your table.

Visit for breakfast 2 to 3 times a week. Saturday went lunchtime with partner. As on a diet we chose egg omelette with spinach, mushroom and tomato. Delicious. They have a special which changes every month and a good lunch menu served from 12. Important to book as very popular. Staff wonderful. You can also buy hand made cards for £1 separately. They have a garden, outside sitting and upstairs. They do afternoon tea booked 3 days in advance. Also baby showers upstairs.

Been visiting Coast for several years now and would rate it as one of the best spots for breakfast in the area. A small, cosy bistro in the heart of Woolton Village, serving decent breakfasts and great coffee. Staff are always very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the Coast breakfast and the eggs benedict. Service was quick and breakfasts were reasonably priced. Thank you for another brilliant breakfast!

No problem with the food other than mine (ham, egg and chips) was cold by the time I was able to eat it. My wife enjoyed her omelette, said it was excellent. Service was appalling we were not asked if we would like any condiments- I helped myself to vinegar from another table. I asked twice for mayonnaise and it took well over 5 minutes to arrive - hence cold lunch. First visit but I won’t be back.

I book here each week for eother breakfast or lunch. Breakfast. Brilliant 3 egg omlette, i have with cheese, mushroom, spinach and tomato. Lovely cappucino Lunch. The vegetarian curry is delicious as is the beer battered haddock and chips. The desert was on the specials, apple pie and ice cream. Specials do change. Staff are very friendly. Always very busy so booking essential. Open from 830 am for breakfast. Lunch from 12 . Closes 5 pm. Last main orders about 4 pm. Highly recommended

Overall very poor, the tables are still sticky see other reviews, why hasn't this been resolved? We had the Coast Breakfast which for £11:50 was badly cooked and had poor quality ingredients, definitely very poor value for money. Not a place I would go again

Recently discovered Coast and have been many times during 2023,a brilliant place to have breakfast,brunch or lunch.Food is excellent great quality,best poached eggs I have had and kitchen does a great job,customer service is 10/10 and a lovely atmosphere.

Coast is a beautiful cafe, the staff are always attentive and friendly. The menu is a perfect combination of light snacks, home made cakes and more substantial traditional freshly cooked meals. And then there are ‘THE TABLES!!’ They are very sticky, this is not because the tables are dirty. The tables have been varnished instead of being stripped down, sanded and treated with an oil base or painted. Everyone I have taken to Coast has commented on the unpleasant feel of the tables. The stickiness of the tables is very off putting as they feel feel unclean. I had one friend sit down then ask to leave and go somewhere else because she didn’t like the sticky feeling when her arm touched the table. I find it really frustrating that the owner won’t do something to solve this problem. The tables only need sanding down and treated. I recently asked some friends if they would like to have afternoon tea at Coast. They said ‘That place with the sticky tables?’ I said ‘yes that’s the one but the tables are clean’ They all said ‘No, we can’t stand the feel of the tables’ This problem can be easily corrected and for such a lovely tea room it is a shame that that is what people remember after their visit. My dads a painter and decorator and after a visit to Coast he said ‘There’s no reason for that stickiness the tables just need sanding’ My dad will not visit Coast with me as he he doesn’t feel the tables are clean.

I’ve been a couple of times here, the place itself is very idyllic & the staff are so friendly. They have a good variety of lactose free milks & the porridge (yes porridge) is to die for.

All 3 in our party opted for the Cove Breakfast rather than the large one. Small really did mean small in this instance and unfortunately the quality of the items was not good. The sausage were very thin Chipolata and tasted cheap. You can always judge a breakfast by the quality of the sausage and I’m afraid this fell well below the mark. The 2 pieces of bacon were streaky bacon and very small and the beans tasted as if they had come from a catering tin.The cafe itself is in a great location but could do with a spring clean.

If you don’t like full English breakfast or tarted up eggs - go for the porridge. It’s delicious. Been here a few times. Would go again. You can’t beat a small independent restaurant that is having a go. Well worth a visit. X

Got a gift voucher so decided to go for breakfast. Perfection. We added a Freddo hot chocolate to the breakfast. Staff are lovely and look happy in their work. This place is great value as well. We'll be making a return sooner rather than later.

Esta vez nuestra camarera fue Stella. Buen menú, comida deliciosa y vino sabroso. Bistro está muy bien decorado y una joya de descubrimiento.

Por tercera vez en tantos meses, hemos visitado este café como un grupo de amigos con niños. Cada vez que hemos pedido una mesa, nos han dicho de la manera más grosera que solo hay espacio en el jardín; claramente no les gusta tener niños adentro. El personal es muy grosero, hoy era un tipo que claramente cree que está un poco por encima. Bueno, no tendrán otra oportunidad de ser una "mujer bonita", ¡la mirada que el hombre nos dio hoy fue algo bastante! Hay muchos otros negocios en el área que merecen su dinero. ¡No te molestes en ir a la costa!

Ambos agradables, pero el mío era absolutamente delicioso. Con las bebidas calientes, llegó a poco menos de dieciocho libras. Buen servicio y un lugar encantador para estar en general.

Soy habitual en Coast pero ahora están organizando un bookclub mensual al que asistí recientemente con amigos. El ambiente era muy amable e inclusivo, y la comida como siempre una excelente relación calidad-precio. El menú para el evento tenía un precio fijo para 2 platos y una copa de vino (o alternativa). Había muchas opciones y opté por hongos portobello con cobertura de rarebit y jamón, huevo y papas fritas. ¡Delicioso!

My first and last visit to this place. Waited ages to be served even though it wasn't busy. Had Welsh rarebit, the topping was fine but the toast was like a cracker very over done. Cakes looked really nice but decided to have rocky road. This was tasteless and very crumbly due to the lack of chocolate to bind it together. The toilet (there is just the one) is disgusting the door handle is broken, the toilet seat is hanging off and you could not really describe it as a toilet more a store cupboard with a toilet and sink.

Lovely little place. Had a delicious lunch and the waiter was fantastic! Great sense of humour and very attentive. Great prices and really fresh food. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic Bistro! I brought my elderly grandparents in for some lunch and had such a brilaint afternoon. From the staff to the food everything is first class. We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated immediately despite it being very busy, the staff were extremely accomodating to my grandparents as they are quite elderly and prepared a bigger table instantaneously for us. The food was 10/10 - I had the burger, my grandparents fish and chips equally cooked to perfection. I wish i could highlight one member of staff but they are all truly unbelievable! So much so that we are making a point of coming back weekly! Well done and thank you COAST!!!

I can't rate this lovely place highly enough. Called in for a wonderful breakfast and received such a warm reception from the staff on our first visit. The food is delightful. The menu is very accessible and the eggs benedict was excellent - thickly sliced home-cooked ham, perfect poached eggs and home-made hollandaise. The whole place has a wonderful charm and rustic elegance set in the quaint and historic village of Woolton. It was deceptively spacious and even has upstairs seating and a really nice outdoor seating in the front and a sheltered garden in the back. Daily specials are available and we were excited to hear they are open till 21:00 Thursday, Friday and Saturday - with 50% off for evening bookings until the end of August! The cakes looked delicious and they do 'cake-away.' They open at 10:00, although it says 10:30 on Google. We were surprised to hear that they even hold weddings and events, but it makes sense when you see the setting. We will definitely be going back soon.

Ordered eggs Benedict. Unfortunately, the eggs were overdone and not runny at all. I asked for them to be replaced, which they were with a very polite apology and I was served another pair of eggs that were slightly better. Sadly, there was very little hollandaise sauce and it was watery and tasteless. Very disappointed and won't be going back despite the cafe being cosy and the staff very friendly.

I really enjoyed my first trip to Coast. Our meals were delicious, made with fresh ingredients, prepared and presented well and served by friendly and attentive staff. There are so many little touches about this cafe/bistro that make you feel welcomed and we'll certainly be returning as soon as possible.

I have been a regular at this café for a number of years now and have always found it friendly and cozy with a tasty and diverse menu and warm atmosphere. The staff are personable, chatty, helpful and professional, always making me feel welcome and at ease.

I’m actually a regular here or was!! Went in to ask for a table, it was busy so I was happy to wait but when I asked about a table was told in a very rude manner “well we haven’t got one” by an older lady with short hair and to be honest it’s not the first time I’ve seen her be rude!! I will not be back here again.

First visit here today I must admit we had been over the road to a well known pub for lunch but they did not have 2 of the dishes that we ordered from the main menu (enough said). So glad we decided on coming to Coast. We opted for the Hoisin Duck wrap which was delicious, topped off by very friendly service.

Having moved out of the Liverpool area I love coming back home to see my mum and nan and when I do it’s always coast we head to. The rarebit and the omelettes are delicious. Cakes are the best in Liverpool and always generous slices!

Coast has good and quick even when busy customer service and good quality food and drinks in a pleasant if cosy so quite small café/bistro.

Visitamos este lindo lugar el lunes y nos encantó, nos encantó. Solo pedimos café y pastel, pero ciertamente no nos decepcionó. Estaba muy ocupado durante un lunes, pero el personal era muy atento, incluso así. Los pasteles solo se pueden describir como celestiales, todos hechos en casa, así que me dijeron y nos quedamos con muchas opciones. Optamos por el pastel de zanahoria, la tarta Bakewell y una esponja de limón y arándanos que era tan liviana que casi no sentías que comías nada. Mi veredicto es necesario que todos prueben este lugar si pueden recorrer cualquier camino tan bueno como sea posible.

Esta fue nuestra primera visita a este café en Woolton Village. Nos quedamos muy gratamente sorprendidos. Cuando entramos, parecía muy ocupado pero casi inmediatamente nos dijeron que iban a limpiar una mesa cercana. Esto se hizo muy rápido y enseguida nos presentaron menús. En un par de minutos nos preguntaron qué bebidas necesitábamos. En esta etapa también pedimos una merienda, el Welsh Rarebit. Era muy sabroso. Entonces decidimos tener un pedazo de pastel cada uno. Tengo que decir que las raciones eran geniales y la calidad era fantástica. Definitivamente volveremos de nuevo pronto.

¡Primero visité en marzo con un amigo solo para una bebida rápida y un refrigerio! Me encantó. . . Gran chocolate caliente y servicio.

Visité aquí un sábado por la mañana por primera vez, absolutamente encantador de principio a fin, el personal no pudo fallar un poco. . Agradable, amable, Smiley, el servicio era de primera clase y el desayuno de la costa era hermoso y estaba muy caliente con una buena cerveza para acompañarlo.

Popped into Coast for a long overdue cake and coffee. They had a fantastic selection of cakes as always and I was tempted by the m &m; cake but the sight of the peanut butter and chocolate cake swayed my decision. It was not a disappointment. A rich chocolate cake with peanut butter cream and frosting topped with peanut butter cups.

We held my father’s 60th birthday here on the 2nd February. Firstly, Ian and his staff were fantastic and did everything they could to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. Coast itself is quaint and eclectic which inevitably provides a comfortable and warm ambiance, perfect for a family get together. The food was outstanding; we ordered a hot buffet of curry and chilli - both were extremely tasty ands big hit with the guests; the side dishes did not disappoint and there was plenty of food to go round. Liz, Leah and Emma who worked the evening are all fantastic and we are grateful for how attentive and smiley they were.

Met friends here for Saturday lunch. We booked, as the cafe is very popular. Enjoyed the cosy feel and decor. The service was excellent, and the freshly cooked food from the tasty menu was very good indeed. Everything was freshly cooked, using quality ingredients and the portion sizes were just right. I had the garlic field mushrooms, and they were superb.

I visited today with friends and I can honestly say that this was the best afternoon tea I have ever had in terms of taste,freshness and value for money. The sandwiches were absolutely devine . Excellent choice of generous fillings on beautiful homemade bread and real butter,followed by homemade scones,jam and clotted cream and homemade cakes. The cappuccino was lovely too!
