We arrived as a family of 8 for lunch , when it came to ordering there were only 2 meals out of the 8 that the restaurant actually had. It then took a very long time to arrive , and then we were 2 meals short which then took another 7ish minutes to come after that. Not one staff member asked how are meal was ( we think they knew the answer they would receive). Also my daughter (3) ran into the soft play and ended up with wet socks in the ball pit. They then locked the doors rather than cleaning it.

I've been eating breakfast at Ruda for around 20 years now (from the days when it was the "Cafe at Ruda" and then the Breakfast Buffet in the Coast Bar) and, in the past, they have had no problems allowing subsitutions of meat for meat or veg for veg. However this year it appears that some Bean Counter has decided that this is too much hassle or stops them from making a extra few pennies in profit, so when I ordered a Mega Breakfast, I was unable to forego the grilled tomatoes (which I don't like) and exchange them for some extra baked beans instead. Fortunately at least *one* of the staff understood that customer satisfaction is more important than penny pinching and did allow me to do this, but the others simply told me "We don't do that any more". Also I appreciate the price of food has gone up due to inflation, but the price of the breakfasts has gone up much more than you would reasonably expect. This is disappointing and I hope that Parkdean, who own the site, will realise that this sort of thing just reflects badly on their corporate attitude.

We went to dinner as a family of 8. The food was served to half our party with the rest over an hour later. We complained and we were offered free drinks which came but were incorrect. I spoke to a supervisor who reimbursed with no questions asked so all came good in the end.

I have visited the Coast bar and restaurant many times and they never fail to impress me. I normally visit with a friend who has ASD and is hard to please, but she always loves a visit (because the food is a constant and something being the same is a really big part of her world, and we always have an amazing meal). Today I visited with my mum who has mobility issues and yet they pull out all the stops for us. I'm afraid I forget everyone's names as at least 4 runners checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our meal). But let me tell you it was awesome! Far too much, but both myself and my mum had a fantastic time... we didn't need any dinner after such a filling lunch. Ben and Cole were amazing, as well as the lovely man with the green man bun. sorry I didn't get your name xxx All round, an amazing visit as usual. xxxx

I have stayed at Ruda 2 years running. Last year I tried to eat here but the staff on reception were so rude and felt like customers really are a massive inconvenience so I walked out. This year there was a friendly lady on reception so I got as far as sitting down at a table this time. The beer garden was a mess, there was no one clearing tables. Given there is a virus going round a bit of anti bac on the tables would have been great. I waited and waited eventually asked someone to clean my table but still no one did. I was given no information on how to order there’s no menus or helpful signage to be seen. Eventually I walked to the bar after trying to pretend I wasn’t there for a while they told me it was an App. The app wasn’t working, with some effort chased down a couple of members of staff who were not very helpful. Gave up again and walked out. Maybe next year.

I used the park dean app and click and collected my breakfast I had a mega butty priced at £5.29 don't know about drinks I had my own coffee in the caravan

The food certainly doesnt live up to its description on the menu. We didnt expect gourmet food but it was pretty basic for the price paid. If you stick to fries and a burger you'll be ok but dont expect anything more than fried/ mass-produced/microwaved food. It filled a hole when we had limited choice of venues but dont make it a night out. Staff are lovely btw.

Had lunch and we were impressed. Very friendly and efficient staff. Very good distancing, delivery and cleaning.

I don’t want to be rude however I don’t think I have never eaten at an establishment of such low standards. The food was plain and served in bucket sized portions with the majority of the plate consisting of chips. I have never had a Cajun wrap that contained precisely no seasoning ( sorry guys hot sauce is not Cajun seasoning but good try 👍) the atmosphere was difficult with screaming children and no food on any tables when we arrived. It took us two and a half hours to get through 3 greasy And lukewarm portions. It is misleading that this establishment should be advertised as a restaurant as it is more of a canteen. The staff seemed in high spirits so they must not have been eating the food. A culinary and atmospherically disaster. It’s a shame to spend an evening here when there are local restaurants serving fresh food at affordable prices 10 minutes walk down the road.

I have eaten at Coast on numerous occasions and take a friend who has autism. I was concerned as I knew there would be a lot of changes due to the COVID-19 situation, and change can be difficult for those with Autism. The changes started as soon as we arrived with a new one way system, hand sanitizing stations and slight changes in layout to allow for social distancing. All the staff were fabulous with reassuring us and helping to keep things as "normal" as possible. I cant thank the staff enough for their inclusive attitude towards customers,BRILLIANT customer service x Onto the ordering and paying... This was done quickly and efficiently with covid safe measures in place. There is also an app that we could have used which is really clear and easy to use. We had our drinks within minutes and our food arrived promptly and was really nicely presented. Our order... this has got to be THE BEST bbq chicken and bacon baguette I have ever had. Huge baguette, plenty of tasty filling and delivered piping hot! Now the baguette comes with fries (which were crisp and hot) but if your having a treat you may as well go the whole hog right? So we ordered a side of onion rings each too... they looked like bracelets they were so big, they were hot and crispy and tasted Devine! All round an awesome meal, served by awesome people in a very comfortable and clean environment which is clearly as covid safe as it is possible to be.

As it was the end of the season they ran low on choice of drinks as they let everything run out. The main venue was shut so you had to eat your meal next to the kids entertainment. Not what I call an enjoyable experience.

If this includes the Fish and Chips shop on site then the service was good, the food good and not overly expensive.

Love Ruda Holiday park itself but have had the worst carvery ever today in the restaurant on site. The yorkshire puddings were rubber, the veg was watery and the cauliflower cheese definately did not have any cheese and was quite gloopy. Got one star because they offered us a free drink when we complained but will never eat here again.
