Cold food not good quality either

Made our first visit to the new café at Rose Land Tesco....firstly come on! you don't take cash, why? the café was empty surely you are losing money by the ton. If I had not been there with my Mum who is 89 she would never in a million years order herself a coffee from a screen! I ordered a sausage bap, asked the attendant if butter was used, yes he said....maybe with a magnifying glass you might have spotted it!! very disappointed. We will go back to using the Tesco Extra...great coffee, cash welcome, and plenty of butter!

Food was luke warm and delivery was unacceptable, placed order at 10 which was accepted and had a delivery time of 10:20 - 10:40 this then changed to 11:20-11:40.

50 minutes wait on food. no management of expectations or apology from staff just an explanation that they are too busy to cope with demand.

Fully automated ordering service. Why support a cafe that can't support customer service. Poor quality food and coffee. Really disappointed with visit. Will never recommend or return again. Coffee arrived like warm in a bucket like cup

Hash browns cooked in bad fat. Cooked breakfast repeated on me all afternoon SORT IT OUT !

The food was cold when it arrived, the toast wasn’t buttered and the food delivery was over 45 minutes late.

Nice food, delivered by a very friendly driver

Ok went in for breakfast before doing a shop at the store to be greeted by a great looking refurbished cafe, then to see a Mc Donald’s looking order station, you have to order via the machine no cash taken at all the machines take a bit to get used to but I would prefer to see people working rather than a machine. Staff were great and did help people who were finding it hard to use. I would recommend Tescos put a cash/card till in place with a person to take the order and chat to customers who come in. Good food good staff shame about the order machines

The Cafe has been refreshed. To order food and drinks the till has gone. So now the tills are Muccy'D style at the entrance and there are four of them.

Newly refurbished and a lovely place to get coffee, cake or a main meal Lovely atmosphere

Miserable and unwelcoming staff. Both in the store and cafe. Two staff members stood having a chat by the entrance to the self checkout tills, completely oblivious to people trying to navigate around them. Cafe server quite blunt and not at all welcoming.

It wasn't actually delivered, even though it states it has.

Not overly happy as i lost two hash browns and the toast because an Egg was put on top which I specifically asked not to have for certain reasons. Waste of money.

staff are pleasant and obliging, but the fish and chips which use to be cod and where the best in barnstaple has been changed to Pollock,

Had to wait 15 minutes for a drink. 4 people working but only 1 taking orders and then preparing drinks. Very slow and unorganised chaos.

I am disabled and on my order where it asks you to make a note, I ALWAYS put the fact that I cannot fetch my food from 3 stories down. Most restaurants heed this and bring it to my door. Today I saw that the driver was near. I waited. And waited... I began to worry. I thought I would wait another 5 minutes. I looked at my phone and saw that it had been delivered. Now I didn't have it. I had to phone a neighbour to help me get my food but she was in Ilfracombe. I then phoned another friend of mine and she said she would pick it up when she had finished shopping. I got my food over an hour after it was delivered. My Crispy fish and chips were now cold and floppy. Thank you Just Eat!

For the second time now, items I’ve paid for haven’t been delivered. Today it was a £3 drink, apart from this the food is nice & always arrives hot.

The fries tasted weird and my daughter wouldn't touch the bacon or egg on breakfast or the toast not happy because she normally eats it she only ate the hash brown witch is a shame it didn't taste as nice as usual at all

Again half my order is missing this the 3rd im ive ordered from here where they have literally forgot half my order after waiting ages

Ordered yesterday they forgot the bacon from breakfast ne fefund or sent out any more ordered again today again forgot the bacon from breakfast again and the toasties i ordered was also missing!

Been here for lunch twice and both times we were told there would be a 45 minute wait for food, despite only a few tables being occupied. We waited nearly an hour the second time we visited. Food is usually nice and good value for money but it is very slow. Not ideal if you have hungry kids so wouldn't waste your time on the 'kids eat free' deal. Perfectly placed next to Junglaroo SoftPlay too. Sadly we won't be revisiting.

The food was lovely! Wouldn’t of thought it was delivered! Was fresh and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend, the quality of the food was amazing. The services were amazing as well. The delivery driver seemed friendly and had a positive attitude. Will 100% be buying from here again!! :)

Tiny portions not value for money at all

Only one person doing the whole lot , taking orders , making coffee and doing the till and dealing with just eat computer….. 13 people in the queue and manager floating around doing very little to help…… Just Eat taking priority over those in the queue……. No apology for the wait. ….. Finished our drinks before food arrived or they would be stone cold, food was lukewarm, but we’d waited so long to get it there was no point sending it back to wait another 1/2 hr.

Thank you so much. I wasn’t aware that I had ordered so close to closing time, so I was delighted to receive a perfect hot delicious meal that someone had very kindly cooked for me.

Only ordered two toasties, 45 minutes later they arrived! Complained to two members of staff, no customer skills no manners, worst service ever! There were only six tables and they said they were very busy…Do not visit

I answered the door with my left hand, no actually, my right hand, and I was greeted by a driver of medium height and possibly Asian heritage. He ever so kindly placed the order into my free hand, which I believe to have been my right hand on reflection. And it really was as simple as that! I had my breakfast and all within about 50 minutes of placing my order on the just-eat website. The food was a little less hot than in the actual restaurant but that of course is to be expected. It really is a 10/10 service. My only slight quibble is that the bacon sandwich that I had order actually turned out to be a slightly different cheese based roll with some tomato relish. But as they say -variety is the spice of life! I am looking forward to next weeks breakfast!

Both drinks were spilt. The breakfast was missing items. There were no chips which were ordered separately.

Missing the drink from the kid's meal

Usually the best coffee, but not so good today. No foam at all and weird filmy bits floating on surface. Maybe just from the journey but never happened before and was very off putting.

Really yummy food. Came hot, drinks were as requested and really loved the milkshake! Breakfast wrap was absolutely delicious! Delivery driver arrived on time, really friendly and amazing service :) will definitely be ordering again!

Over a hour and 30 minutes late.

Delivered to the wrong flat. Why they didn't call me to confirm the delivery is beyond me. They left it by the wrong door and left, food was left outside getting cold for ten minutes. Very displeased.

Good social distancing when items were delivered. Bacon roll was cold, and needed some ketchup, but tasted really good. Cappuccino was spot on

Had a breakfast earlier, told my partner it was really nice so ordered him one for his lunch break. Again really great quality, came well packaged and a funny note inside - had to leave another review so you didn’t think I had two big fry ups within two hours!

Four people in front of me. 20 mins later I get served. There are enough staff. They are just pathetically useless. They remind me of Zombies. They move and act like them. The food in the hot plate area is cold and it would have taken them an hour to cook more. The all service is a disgrace to Tesco and I would never use them again.

we have been here twice.First time when they didn't have half the ingredients in my chosen dish and substituted unsuitable other things, all of which were not cooked properly, we said never again, but this week we were in the DIY store almost next door, nowhere else to eat, so tried it again. It was just as bad. Not many customers, but every table was covered in dirty crockery etc. Ordered food and cappuccinos - said there were no saucers available so had cups & teaspoons without saucers. Food very poor, certainly nobody knows how to cook there ended up leaving most of food and half of coffee.. This time we mean it, never again! Waste of £15.50. Would also like to mention that I had vegan breakfast but baked beans looked and tasted exactly the same as my partners ordinary breakfast. I feel sure that the sauce in ordinary baked beans contains non vegan things!

Toasted sandwiches were luke warm as was the cappuccino and the hot chocolate was way to strong. It was more like a runny chocolate mousse there was that much drinking chocolate powder in it. Given 2 stars as the staff were friendly.

Had to wait 20minutes but I did not mind as I thought it would be freshly cooked when it arrived the bacon was done to a crisp and could not eat it. The eggs were solid the toast was just like warm bread the lad who brought the breakfast said the chef was new and bought us more bacon which we did not eat never again will I order a cooked breakfast the presentation was very poor.

Absolutely useless. There were 4 staff on, barely any customers in the place but the cafe was a shambles. The floor was a mess, tables were dirty and full of previous customers stuff and there wasn't one piece of cutlery available to use. I ordered a simple toastie which they left unattended for so long they burnt it so I decided to get a refund and go elsewhere. A lady behind me came up to see where their cup of tea was and it hadn't even been made. Do no intend to go back ever.

Always good air conditioning bit strong in places but always enjoy, excellent staff
