Does want it says on the tin. I don’t mean Stoned BTW. I mean take away fresh pizza on the beach. 5 pizzas ordered for 5 of us and we had no complaints all hot and delicious. Waited around 15 mins which is reasonable. I would say cost is high as obviously no seating provided, not reflecting in prices charged

Visited on a night while on holiday. A bit disappointing really. Long wait for pizzas as was busy - understandable. We had garlic bread and a margarita. The pizza was so greasy on the walk back it ruined my top and shorts just walking to the beach holding the box. Pizza was very undercooked and didn't taste of much. Lots of us had different ordered and none of my friends enjoyed it. Wouldn't recommend.

Wood fired pizza truck located in a car park overlooking the sea. Takeaway only. Five vegan pizzas on the menu, two were sold out. I had the vegan truffle garlic mushroom, my companion had the vegan margherita. Very quick service even though they’re prepared fresh to order. Nice base but the vegan cheese wasn’t my fave. Nice spot to takeaway though to sit, eat and enjoy the lovely view.

People were very friendly and the pizza van looked impressive, unfortunately the pizza was horrible, the dough was stodgy and undercooked and the toppings used bad quality, the sauce tasted like it was out of a jar. The dough had not risen at all so either the stone was too cold or the dough under proofed.

Ok pizzas but as the other reviews have said, the dough seems very undercooked and stodgy, despite being a thin base. They either need cooking for longer, the stone in the wood oven needs to be heated up more, or they should try a different flour. The crusts and topping were good - if the base was cooked through they would have been excellent. Service was good and only waited 10-15 mins from ordering. Prices aren’t bad at ~£13-£15/pizza.

Really enjoyed the pizzas from here, there was a great menu of options that they were keeping up to date with anything sold out, the queue was fairly long but they were taking orders and cooking them super quick with lots of staff working a military mission and the pizzas were very yummy. They were a bit pricey... some pizza options up to £15 which seemed a lot for fast food truck but when feeding a family but given the tourist hotspot price clearly isn't holding them back as plenty of us were prepared to pay for the convenience.

Such a shame - we were so keen to support this being across the road and it has collapsed. It has been great in the past and we were warned. Not that busy this evening at 6pm but took nearly an hour and a half to get a very below average pizza. Told the wait could be 40 minutes - never thought that would be best case! We visit here every year and some years have waited well over an hour before having our food. However, this year, we made sure we were at the front of the queue and were served 15 minutes before they opened. We had loads of toppings and it was really tasty as always. We had the chilli beef and the mexican chicken pizzas. Chilli beef in pictures back at our holiday park! Only downside is the price. We used to pay roughly £9-£10 and now its gone up to £15!

We ordered simple…vegetarian and garlic bread. It wasn’t too busy but we waited 45 mins for the food to arrive To be honest it was underwhelming…pizza was sloppy not cooked enough and the garlic bread was burnt on the edges raw in the middle. But actually, we were waiting for 40+ minutes to get our pizzas watching them call out name by name in the freezing cold. We finally got our pizzas. Tasted a little burnt but that was ok considered it was made in a wood fire pizza oven. Staff are ok, mostly run by children. We just tried to order a pizza for our kids dinner at Woolacombe beach car park. This place used to be good and we used it all the time, but now the lads who used to run it have gone and it looks like new management and it’s basically run by children. The young girl serving wa so uninterested in serving people. She totally ignored us and tried to serve a large group of older tourists who turned up after we had stood patiently in the line. We tried to speak up and say could we put an order in please. But she continued to just ignore us. As the tourists hadn’t even looked at the menu and we’re then trying to read through the menu and chat with their friends. We tried again to say hi we are ready to order… and actually have been waiting! She looked at us awkwardly and mumbled something then continued to ignore us. The baby was crying and the kids were hungry so we just had to walk away in disbelief that she wouldn’t take our order. Found a lovely pub up the road with a kids play area. Much more friendly and switched on service as in they actually treat customers like customers! As we walked away I think we had a close escape anyway…pizzas looked overpriced for what u get. Avoid like the plague!! It’s such a shame this place used to be lovely but the new staff have no idea how to actually work or even just take orders.

I ordered a pesto garlic bread with cheese for an evening snack for the family. It cost £9.05, which was rather steep in my opinion. (No daily prices illustrated anywhere). The base was paper thin with so much oil and cheese on, that it was dripping and really sickly. I took it back as it was inedible. I was told I couldn't get a refund or even 50% off. I asked if I could revisit the following day to get a margherita in exchange but was told nothing could be done. Very, disappointed . Would not recommend 😕

Only option in town, we had to wait for one hour to order a pizza. After 1 hour queueing, and just when we were next in the queue, they decided to call "Sold out" without any type of advanced warning. That was all, go home after 1h wait. I cannot rate the food but the service is just not right if they cannot anticipate and advise people they would run out of food, so disappointing.

After waiting over an hour in the queue, we were told it would be a 50 minute wait from when we ordered which was fine as we knew it would be long, however we were then told that they had sold out after letting loads of people stand in a queue for ages. The whole business seemed poorly run and had no regard for their customers. I would recommend going to woolacombe bay pizzas up the road as they have much better food at a much more reasonable price.

The food and service is usually really good but after waiting over an hour in the queue after working all day we got right to the front just for one of the workers to say they had completely “sold out”. I respect how busy it was for them but it would’ve saved a lot of time for everyone if they had warned us that they were running low instead of letting myself and others wait for so long and dropping it so bluntly. I’ve worked for this company before and I know for a fact that if the owner was there he wouldn’t have allowed that to happen like that, I hate to leave a bad review but this was a huge let down.

The Pizzas are amazing! Not the cheapest but cheaper than I expected given the location. No garlic bread available when I went was abit of a let down but the pizzas where amazing and made up for it . We had a Margherita, pepperoni and meat feast. Total was £39 but had enough to feed two adults and two children who scoffed the lot. No drinks served either from the truck which was a shame, the snack bar across the road was still serving though as the 3 places by the beach had shut by 5pm when the pizza truck opens! All in all great food that was ready in 10 minutes and piping hot even by the time I got it down to the beach. However I would suggest serving cold drinks and making sure garlic bread is available because who doesn’t want an authentic wood fired pizza without a side of garlic bread and an ice cold drink to wash it down with on a warm summer’s evening?! :)

I was reluctant to go as have seen this company get a fair few bad reviews online, but I run a wood fired pizza company and love it so thought I’d give it a go. I had seen a number of people complain about wait times so did choose to go when they start serving. This was one part that was confusing as the sign said opens 5 then 5:30 underneath then the guys working there settled for somewhere in between. Once I got my order in after the first customer who ordered 4 pizzas, they told me 10 min wait but it was probably closer to 5, which from my experience is much faster than many places in Woolacombe. I imagine people have issues when it starts getting busier, but as long as they get some warning I don’t see why there would be a problem with having to accept long wait times - restaurants would turn you away at busy times. I could imagine that the relatively young staff may not have the experience to deal with customers who are upset or following delays, but can say they were all pleasant with me. Got my pizza and took back home 5 mins away was still hot looked good and tucked in. In terms of looks it does have slightly charred look that is an effect of the wood fired oven, at my own business I do have some people who misunderstand this as being burnt as they are used to pizzas which are cooked in a different way. In terms of taste I would say all meat toppings were pretty nice (although they had no pepperoni) the sauce and cheese too. The only aspect that lets it down a bit for me is the dough. Whilst the outside of the dough is cooked and tasty, I feel there is too much raw/chewy dough. I know you get softer chewy pizzas from wood fired ovens, but I felt that this one had too thin a layer of cooked vs less cooked dough. I tried to think of a solution but can’t think of much other than lower the fire a bit and leave the pizzas in for little longer. Overall still really enjoyed it and would definitely have it again, the hate online certainly was miles off my experience.
