You all thought this would be a good review of a fun time at Pizza Hut, well it’s not. Don’t get me started on the staff, the table service was terrible, the “waiters” only relied on the website not knowing or informing me of the basics like: refill cups, buffets, deserts. Today the workers were hiding behind the till, reluctant to serve us being lazy and unqualified. I’m not one to write a review but you have forced me to create an account. Pizza Hut please fix your employment standards.

We had a lovely time. Food was good, but for us the lady that is Rebecca R was the highlight of our visit- she was so friendly and helpful.

Visited Pizza Hut with my better half on what looked like a pretty busy Friday night without a reservation. The food was good, but the manager (wish I could remember his name) was brilliant. He found us a table without any issues, provided -perfect- service and even pointed out one of the deals would save us some money. He was full of enthusiasm, friendly and clearly very knowledgeable. I hope Pizza Hut know what a great employee they have!

Tried to get a table in the pizza hut in Barnstaple which appears to be run by 10yr olds Told us they were fully booked when we went in Less than 50% of the tables were occupied. When I challenged this the little boy then told me that the tables we could see were all dirty and they did have time to clean them. For god sake how long does it take to clear a table wipe it with a cloth and lay a knife and fork Just lazy People who don’t deserve to have a business or jobs.

I visited Pizza Hut today with my family and we where there for hours!.... Let me start on the staff,.. they didn’t come over and the service was terrible!.. We waited for a very long time for our food to arrive and waited a while for the staff to come and collect out. Toilets are disgusting and very on unhygienic!.. When the staff took our dessert order they forgot a desert leaving it to as soon as the dish clams out the oven, delivering it to the table !... As it came it was to hot to handle!.... We are not sure wether to come again after this experience🥴🥺!....

Had a family get together here, with me in my wheelchair. They gave us a very wheelchair friendly table. The service was very good and friendly. Everyone except myself had pizza and loved it. I had the traditional mac and cheese, it was very tasty, but I found it was a very small portion, especially for the price.

Something about they cant sell cheesey chips as take away because they are too hot even though I have had them in the past as take away. Very upset as they are super good.

So we waited for 15 minutes to be seated, in a restaurant with 3-4 available tables.... not sure why, but the guy did apologise..... Then the kinda ran out of pizza.... with 12-15 people huddled around the buffet table for over ten minutes.... (see pic) Food was to the usual standard so no complaints there.... once there was some available....

Excellent meal for the six of us. Friendly staff who directed us around the menu based on us using Meerkat Meals. Highly recommended *****

We were staying in the area and chose this for an evening meal. Usual Pizza Hut, friendly service, well stocked salad bar and good food. As usual most people didn't manage to eat all their pizza. Comfortable family meal out.

This is a good pizza hut. We had great friendly service. Everywhere was clean and the buffet was well stocked.

We took the grandchildren to the Barnstaple hut for lunch and were very impressed. We always find Pizza Huts attractive to the grandchildren but tend to be a bit frayed round the edges during a busy lunch hour. This was easily the best we have visited. The salad bar was kept refreshed and was clean and appetising. There was a constant supply of hot pizzas. A special tomato free pizza was prepared for one member of the party. The staff were very welcoming. Well done.

Had an absolutely lovely evening at Pizza Hut tonight! No wait on our food and no question on the amazing quality of the food! ImogenE particularly made our visit with not only being helpful but just all in all a delight to be served by! Would definitely keep returning based on the quality and service!

Wow, this place takes some beating, in terms of being utterly appalling. We were a large party of 9, and we decided we fancied a Pizza Hut buffet....when we were seated we noticed the severe lack of the key ingredients of such a buffet...Pizzas! No worries we thought, they'll be on to it, as it's not hugely busy. So, 7 of us order the buffet along with a refillable drink. Picture the scene, drinks machine not working needs refilling, salad bar virtually empty and NO pizzas!! We queued up like school dinners awaiting the pizzas, nothing....more customers coming in to the place, still no pizzas...we ask 2/3 members of staff, 'just coming', 'on the way' they reply....no sign, utterly ridiculous, 20 minutes nothing!! We decided to go elsewhere, and left. I have since shared my experience with Pizza Hut customer relations, who are as much use as this store, in that after me chasing for an actual reply, they tell me they are going to pass on my comments to the branch - well, that will sort things won't it!! AVOID.

Iv been working with GlassDoors for many years now so when I was asked to do something a bit closer to home I was delighted. The food was delightful and very tasty, unfortunately staff and management have brought my opinion down. A side was forgotten ( no big deal) we asked the manager when she drop some food at the table about the forgotten side, she said no worries she’d look for it. Finished the meal no problem also no side. The person I was with went up to the young girl behind the counter, wasn’t rude just asked if the side could be taken of the bill. She’d said she’d ask her manger. 5 minuets or so she came back to say it was fine and the cookie dough we asked to take away was “on its way” and when she was reminded it was take away she said “ oh you want it to take away now” think that was clear but moving on. Ten minuets into waiting for the bill and cookie dough another waiter comes up and asks if everything is ok. To which we once again as for the bill and the cookie dough “ what flavours do you want”? Huh we were told it’s on its way”??We appreciate the drinks knocked off the bill but don’t lie to the customer and make them wait for nothing to be blunt. We paid all was well Iv been to worse until the snarky managers insincere “have a goodnight” with a fake smug smile. We were not rude to your staff please don’t be rude to me and my guest. Unfortunately the staff let the food down and my official write up of this place will reflect the actions of the staff.

I visited this restaurant with my 2 children for tea and my 4 year old had just fallen off his scooter on the way there. With no prompting or request the lady who helped us to our table noticed my boy complaining and came back with plasters and antiseptic wipes ! I didn’t ask for this she did it off her own back which was so thoughtful , she told my little boy he was very brave and asked again later on if he was ok ! I found this so lovely and on top of that fab start the food was cracking too ! So thanks very much Tyler and team for a lovely experience !

Too many staff but not efficient; waiting too long for everything; salad bar is never filled properly. Poor manageres whom trying to see everything but my experience with Pizza Hut says that poor service is a company culture and the worst is nobody from HQ wants to know .....

Pizza Hut was chosen by our 12 year old family member as it was her Birthday, it was a Family gathering we are all on Holiday at Kings Nympton so this was our last port of call to finish a wonderful day for her.

We arrived as a party of 12, the restaurant wasn't busy so knew it was ok we hadn't booked. I spoke to the front of house female with curly blonde hair and glasses and she was very rude when addressing me. She said there was a half an hour wait for a table and when I asked if we could move tables together she ignored me and then said we could sit in 3 booths near each other. I was holding my daughter who is 9 months old and when we went to sit down my partner got a high chair, then the lady said that we couldn't have a high chair because of fire risk. I then asked what I was supposed to do with my daughter and again she ignored me. Myself my partner and daughter left without an apology from this woman. The rest of the party stayed to eat and the service did not improve. None of the staff had name badges and I'm not surprised as the level of service is disgusting. I would not recommend this pizza hut to anyone.

We wanted something quick and reasonably priced.As we were visiting Curry's PC World nearby we chose Pizza Hut. It was just OK. Service was very very good, but the place seemed generally grubby, the Pizza was not cheap- £22 for a sharing thick crust chicken Pizza with free salad bar. We left with the thought lets try somewhere else next time!

Just been into pizza Hut, waited to be seated. Staff just wondering around ignoring us so we waited and still we waited and still we didn't get seated. 4 members of staff who I can only presume they didn't know what they were doing just looking at us. We waited 10 minutes and then asked a very young lad who was also just wondering around if we could sit down bearing in mind in was quite empty, 8 tables max in use. I think the girl who should have been seating people was very rude indeed. We were seated by the young lad but by this time we were put off by the ignorant staff and left.

We came here for convenience as 8 of us on the way back from a day out. I’d booked ahead for 4.15. It was very quiet when we arrived and we were seated and given the brief. We’d all been to Pizza Hut before which was just as well as we didn’t see the waitress again other than to deliver our food. Screaming children aside the staff were clearly in over their heads. When we wanted to pay this took another half an hour. Seriously we could easily have just left and no one would have noticed. Food ok.

Poor service, waiting in excess of ten minutes to be seated. Unpleasant food and expensive. Long waits to order despite few customers at the time. Poor value for pizza, cold drink and ice cream just under £40 for 2. Will not be visiting again or recommending to others.

Pretty much every pizza was available as a GF pizza. The GFbase is a little thicker than usual but tasted ok.

Fuimos a pizza hut como un lujo con amigos. No me disappoited. Todo se puede comer pizza era encantadora, caliente y sabrosa. Tanto para elegir una gran variedad de pizzas. La ensalada era increíble selección y fresco. Yo lo pasamos de maravilla. Las camareras eran muy amables. El almuerzo fue sólo 7 libras. 50 ganga. Bebidas Gaseosas ilimitadas por £2. 35 no puedes equivocarte con los niños. Aunque yo opté por un vino y un café con leche refrigerada para terminarla. Perfecto. We went for a family meal for my daughters 10th bday, asked for balloons on the table to make her feel special as family traveled down from wales for it, I have worked in the hospitality industry for most of my working life in management so I know how important it is to make your customers feel special and well looked after! This is clearly not the case in Pizza Hut! The staff member Charlotte was vial and terribly rude to myself and my mum who is one of the most polite lovely people I know she was very upset! We were put on a table which was too small so we're guided to another table as we got to the table she stormed over aggressively shouting at me well if you would have given me notice I would have done it , when we were told to sit at the table! I couldn't believe how rude she was! When we were only doing what we were told! We then went to order and another member of staff said have you been told of the food we have run out of? No we said well we have no chips!!! Who runs out of chips and no flat breads ! There was no care no sorry the service was terrible so we walked out and ended up in Burger King which was 100% better service!!!!We were a party of 10 with 4 kids who just wanted Pizza Hut and ice cream! Very disappointed and ruined bday meal for my daughter! So will never be returning and wouldn't recommend sorry!! I never moan or write reviews but I felt this very necessary as Charlotte was terrible and needs serious customer service training or a job which doesn't involve being polite to people!!!!!

Visited around 17:45 restaurant not particularly busy.Ordered 2 pizzas both turned up fairly cold! Had to ask twice to have clean plates. Wouldn't visit this particular restaurant again.

Despite being a busy Saturday, we were served straight away. Told that there would be a 20 minute wait for our pizzas to be cooked, went back after just 15/16 minutes and they were ready! Nicely cooked and delicious. Would certainly go there again.

Not the best of fast food restaurants my ribs were tough and a bit fatty .. kids meals were ok usual as much soft drinks as you like with your meals my daughters choice not mine .. staff friendly enough . Went in quiet time of day so meals were cooked in fast time .. unsure how they would cope under pressure from a busy restaurant.. over all not my cup of tea

Thought I was treating Bae to a nice cheap birthday lunch. When I saw the bill I went straight to the bank to get a mortgage! £19.90 for ONE pepperoni pizza???? You must be having a laugh! Will deffo be going to dominos next time, on lunch times they do Large pizzas, 1 topping for £5! No salsa in the salad bar :-( Friendly staff Not coming back

Out of stock of so many key products.... tomatoes cucumber peppers chicken ham mushrooms... I could keep going. Last visit in April was terrible. Lots of unavailable items and poor service. This visit 8 months later is no different. Will never be setting foot in here again. Total bill was £25. Following evening had a gorgeous meal and service at Barum gate brewers fayre for less money!! If I could score this pizza Hut a minus then I would. 1 star is one too many. AVOID AVOID AVOID

We visited today and had a lovely pizza and the service was fantastic. Unfortunately, none of us had what we wanted due to the delivery of supplies not turning up. The staff coped well, were informative and did their best to carry on under difficult circumstances. Can highly recommend the BBQ Pulled Pork and Cheese pizza. Very yummy.

Not somewhere I would usually eat out but was meeting some friends ! And terrible is a understatement from start to finish pizza was cold and salad bar was so messy/dirty how they are still able to serve food I don't no ! Drinks staton was an absolute disgrace with drink everywhere/slip hazard ! No staff seemed to care or even seem happy I mentioned to a staff member a there reply well it's busy in a rude tone ! Waited ages! Cold food ! Rude staff ! Dirty restaurant and toilets avoid at all cost ! If I could put 0 I would !

Amazing staff, friendly and literally bent over back wards to help. Food was stunning. Hats of to the manager Richard who couldn't do enough for us. And to staff Bethany who was very efficient. We will be back when in the area again.

The family decided to go out for pizzas on a Wednesday night. We were 10 of us. After waiting for quite a while, we finally had someone to attend to us only to be told that if we dudbt havexa eeservation theb they couldn't seat us. No where in the world has any pizza hut needed a reservation. Were they thinkibg of thensekves as s 5 star fine dining restayrant?There were plenty of free tables so we failed to understand why. On questioning them and finally the manager coming to attend to us , she decided that she could seat us at separate tables . We agreed and walked in. However we were seated at 3 booths instead of joining the free tables and chairs to make a seating of 10. So the family of 10 had to split up to enjoy a family meal. We all went for the offer of a sharing pizza with salad and dessert for £20. We asked for the salad station to be filled up as it was empty. After taking a while to get them filled up and some bowls given, we finally made our way. The couscous salad was very tasty and nice. Everyone ordered different varities of pizzas .The pizzas took 45 mins to be served . Well I only hoped it was worth the wait but was sadly disappointed . The pulled barbecue pork pizza barely had any pork. It was more like a cheese pizza with barbecue sauce with a hint of pork. Seriously, pizzas are to be loaded. Their chef really needs to eat at another pizza Hut to understand. My margarita pizza was cheeses and tomato without any basil leaves. I did go to the kitchen to ask for some basil or basil oil or dried herb or oregano or chillie flakes and I got the same answer for it all...NO! The person in the kitchen said that a margarita pizza only has cheese and nothing else so I asked him then what does a cheese pizza have? His response was" this is how we make our matghareita". The attitude of most of the staff and the manager was very arrogant. I guess they do not understand the restaurant business or what a happy customer means. Perhaps they need to travel around the world to understand customer service. Oh yes and for the tables that apparently were booked and could take be given to us...well we were there over 2 hours and yet no one else had turned up. In fact a couple got fed up of waiting with no one to take their order, eventually walked out. Whoever owns this franchise better watch out. Thanks to the staff they are going to lose a lot of customers. I'd say go to pizza express or prezzos or dominies to get a decent pizza. Never ever again am i eating at this crappy pizza Hut!

We wanted a takeaway service on our holiday and decided upon Pizza Hut in Barnstaple. We haven't used Pizza Hut in this way before but the chap who took the order was happy to explain all the options and make sure that we happy with our order. The pizzas were excellent, the value for money good. Nothing wrong with it at all and I would certainly do it again.

Was the choice of my 9yr old guest. The decor is very basic. I found the menu extensive and expensive. The waiting staff were friendly but our order was mixed up and our starter was overlooked. We were offered to take it with the mains, which we did. I can't fault the food. It was delicious. I had the ribs and my guest had a pizza. Brilliant milk shakes and unlimited salad bar helped. We ended with my guest having the ice cream factory. Must admit I was shocked with the bill but it was as the menu stated.

Ran out of Mushrooms and crusty bases. Filthy glasses, Coke dispenser was empty very mucky Salad Bar and Toilets not great. On the plus side the staff were lovely.

very good time the staff were very welcoming and helpful when we first arrived and this carried on all the way through are meal the food was excellent we all enjoyed what we ordered and the timing for us was spot on we would go back although for my self i find the drinks a little expensive but i guess this is same any were you go.

have been going to different pizza huts for going on 10 years and i have to say this is the first time ive ever thought to myself where are the toppings. at the price you pay your expecting alot more than what you get. the salad section was constantly being restocked so if you go for that you wont be disappointed.

Not been in a long while last visit so disappointing, however noticed new signs & lighting from outside so decide to give it another go, big mistake. There was one other table in already served 4pm midweek, I was greeted then seated bang next to the only other diners and as I was alone I had to request to sit elsewhere. The menu is dreadfully laid out & if you choose a none standard crust I've thin or otherwise its a guessing game as to the toppings the menu says to choose 2 from, the photographs do not correspond with the options shown. I ordered sparkling water after a 15 min wait, 10 mins later I was informed they had sold out, the pizza was pretty quick appx 15 mins later, however since the last visit (which was very poor) there was barely any cheese on my thin crust pepperoni, and my glass for my water was absolutely filthy, I asked for a clean one, the replacement was barely any cleaner, obviously shelved straight from the glass washer & not dried or checked, the salad bar was filthy, all the sauces/dressings were dried up & the ladles were glued to the containers. The music was so loud I could barely hear the waitress asking if everything was OK, right on cue when I had a mouthful of pizza. The seating units were also filthy & ingrained with old stale bits of food. This is 100% a management (or lack of) problem, the staff were really lovely but working with no guidance or cleanliness training, I shall not return sadly..........

Met here with a friend yesterday and right from the start was shocking!! We walked in and waited for 5 minutes while 3 different members of staff walked right passed us and didn't say a word. When we where seated waitress eventually came to take our order... For our pizzas and there was no ketchup on table only an empty bottle! Looked around all the tables and empty bottles on each table- eventually manage to get a member of staffs attention and they brought one over. When we left we thought we better go to the till otherwise who knows how long we'd of waited! The table opposite had been waiting for ages for someone to bring the bill after requesting it and even they where getting fed up of waiting. I'd be embarrassed to work there with the service you offer! I for one have been a waitress and know how busy things can be but you still aim high and too please everyone! Your staff mopped around, didn't acknowledge new customers standing in restaurant or the take away counter! I wouldn't go back and I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone!

First the positive point. We were met and grey by a good waitress who looked very enthusiastic and was very smiley. Unfortunately, she didn't serve after she took our order. We waited twenty minutes for an orange juice ( yes, 20 minutes) and it wasn't even busy! And another 10 minutes for a couple of pizzas. But there still wasn't any sign of our side order of chips! I had to get up and remind the waiting staff again! Nobody came over to check if our meal was ok, although the staff seemed more interested to stand behind the bar and have a good giggle! Overall a very poor experience, I certainly wouldn't recommend or rush back there. It is a shame as the quality of the food was good but the terrible service let it down badly! So Pizza hut, if you wonder why the restaurant was nearly empty on a saturday night, look no further!

Really enjoyed buffet today as I like hot food and this did not disappoint. Emma our waitress was lovely and gave us really efficient service. A very good visit to Pizza Hut and can't wait to repeat it.

Quick service when it came to ordering pizza. They do not do online unlike dominoes, which is a shame and they also do not deliver, another shame. Sadly food was bland and pizza not so great. Had also ordered some sauces and paid for them but told not available when picking up pizza. They did give me a £5 voucher as a sorry! Sadly dominoes is much better.

Actually we live in Worthing...which is by the sea; so we thought it might be really nice to have a holiday somewhere near the sea, ha ha. Barnstaple, on the River Taw, has the retail park next to it; so, in fact, quite a nice setting for a commercial zone, really. Good start, I suppose (if you have to go to a retail park for food!) Fairly early evening, freezing out, one other customer. We walked but you could park no problem if you wanted; once inside- music! Not too loud, so you could talk and hear what the friendly and polite waiter was saying. And good music, too. Hendrix and the like- fitting in with what they're trying to do, which is make Pizza Hut more of an American Diner. Well, I don't mind that, it gives you lots of choice. We had chicken wings and a nice hot sauce (no shortage of condiments!) and then pizza with a stuffed crust. Lucky we were hungry...managed most of it but then had to have the remainder in a box. Ever had it cold for breakfast? Delicious, just as nice as it was hot. I fancied desert and decided on a waffle: the manager made it, FRESH there and then. It was excellent and what's more he brought it out himself and we had a very nice chat, turns out he's from the same part of the world as us, originally. So, even though I was a little trepidatious (I've had some very average meals in Pizza Hut) it turned out to be a most pleasant evening. I'm definitely going there if I'm ever in Barnstaple again!

Went today with family. 6 of us in total had the buffet lunch. Didn't have to wait. Staff willing to assist where they could. No complaints with the pizza and salad pretty normal. Staff were nice and talkative. Would go back again.

We last visited Pizza Hut in Barnstaple about 5 years ago and were appalled at the poor service. This week we decide to give it another go. Surely it has improved? Sadly not. We waited about 20 minutes for our order to be taken,noticing that 2 other sets of people who arrived after us were served first.The drinks finally arrived but we had to ask for our salad bowls because we were starving by that point! Both of us had "unlimited" fizzy drink but struggled to get the attention of a waitress for a refill. We did notice that 3 of them were quite happily chatting (or gossiping) by the bar area, oblivious of the customers or the dirty tables that were left for ages.The quality of the food was average. I have had better frozen pizzas from the supermarket.Never again!

In the past I have been here and had pizza, which was okay, today I chose the pasta and it was very nice, I'd definitely have it again. Prices seem a little steep but I suppose you can help yourself to as much as you'd like, so if you should happen to have a large appetite, the price is then good.
