The tastiest Sunday Roast we’ve had in a long time. A great traditional venue nicely decorated, great atmosphere and friendly / attentive staff. What more can you ask for. Highly recommended

Went twice last week whilst on holiday, a dog friendly pub with friendly, helpful staff. Had roast dinner & steak pie, both were delicious, good portion sizes- would definately recommend!

Very well kept local pub, Good range and quality of drinks. The team are very welcoming and friendly. Although we didnt eat here the food smelled and looked delicious. We will certainly be booking in on our next trip to Praa sands Keep up the great work !

Wonderful Sunday roast, fresh, hot and really tasty. The waitress was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The belly pork was cooked to perfection and the cracking was beautiful. We would definitely recommend it and will return.

On a very miserable Sunday the log burners were going making the room even more welcoming. Very clean and comfortable with excellent staff. Delicious Sunday roast, the whole family enjoyed theirs. Second time we’ve been for Sunday lunch and very impressed both times.

We arrived at 16:55 on a Monday. We went in as the door was open only to be told by the woman behind the bar that they didn’t open til 5. We asked if food was available and told that was from 6pm. So we ordered drinks and wait for the kitchen to open. Then some locals came in and made a comment about tourists being in their local and another comment I missed but heard a reply. We decided to leave as totally unwelcoming. If you don’t want people to wander in don’t unlock the door until 5pm. Also our money is as good as the locals money and in the hospitality business we need all the business we can get so treat your customers decently and we will spend treat us poorly and we will leave.

Booked at short notice to meet up with friends holidaying in the area; found a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, customers enjoying the food. Menu is well priced, good selection and we were all pleased with our meal selections. Service was swift and meals were nicely portioned and thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely return, and I suspect our friends will too this week! Would highly recommend the homemade steak & ale pie served with the chunkiest of chips, and the battered belly pork bites in Asian sauce.

Sunday roast....what can I say? We went in the evening, and it was Sunday roast or nothing. The food arrived within five minutes of ordering ( always a bad sign) and when it did it was truly awful. Lukewarm, inedible veg, granule gravy. My husband foolishly ( and against my advice!) chose to have bread and butter pudding - sloppy, undercooked and a pile of mush. We will never return!

Was staying in Rosudgeon on holiday and found this pub. It was so good we had 3 dinners here. Busy Saturday evening, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Had to wait a bit for food but was worth it. Other 2 visits were on weekday evenings so quicker service. All meals were most enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Stumbled upon this pub whilst looking for a Sunday roast and wow did we get a good one!!, so good that we went back the next day for a meal which was again really very good and reasonably priced, staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

We booked a meal here for my birthday while staying at Praa Sands. It was excellent. Four of us ordered steak, all perfectly cooked. My husband had the steak & ale pie, the meat was tender & tasty. The fish goujons & Asian pork belly balls were delicious too. Very reasonably priced & plenty of food. The staff were friendly & we would all recommend a visit. Thank you, a fantastic birthday meal

We visited as a large family group whilst holidaying in this part of Cornwall. This is a lovely pub with ample car parking and a great ambience. Sunday lunch was superb, proper home cooked food (too many establishments cheat at this!) Desserts were also amazing and service couldn’t have been better. We were so well looked after we rebooked before we left to go back two days later. This time we ate from the main menu which was just as good and once again the service was impeccable. Thank you for looking after us so well! I highly recommend and will return if back in the area.

Poor quality of food, overcooked chips black and dried out. Never visit it again. Bar staff was very pleasant and friendly,it’s the food that was so disappointing,which is why we chose this Old pub to visit for the history behind it and to see what the food was like,as advertised it said good food and drinks.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Lovely welcome. Room clean and comfortable. Slept very well. Breakfast was fab with great service. Best orange juice and coffee ever. Would like to have eaten last night but was at an event. Would definitely stay again

Group of 6 assembled for our final meal of a weeks holiday in Praa Sands. Recommended by my sister and bro in law who live nearby. Menu was a lot more interesting than it appears on the website. Two enjoyed the seafood linguine particularly while the carbonara was really excellent. The lamb dish was tough but the wine gravy was delicious and the vegetables very good. All in all an excellent pub meal.

Haven't beennin for a few years so thought we would give it a go. So glad we stopped in meal was fantastic very tasty and very good value for money and service was great.

We hadn't booked but we're able to get a table so pleased we did. Lovely decor and ambience. Becki our Server was fabulous and so attentive. Great food and very reasonable priced. Highly recommend and if we are ever passing will definitely return.

Had some of the most amazing food here tonight, great staff great food and even better prices, will defo be back. There £10 menu is amazing and so big can't be beaten.

We have eaten at the Coach and Horses on several occasions, as a couple, also with friends and have never been disappointed. Great food, great service at reasonable prices.

What a gem of a place to visit for dinner tonight first visit to here and what a place soon as you walked through the door was greeted by the owner and a lovely guy and took us to our table lovely decor through out and the food was superb I had the pork belly and it was delicious my wife had the goats cheese and mushroom burger which she throughly enjoyed after wards the owner came over and asked if everything was OK with the food and we all said was delicious this is a must visit pub -restaurant while in Cornwall we will be going back again when next down this way 5 star service superb food thanks again to the owner and the staff

Lovely welcoming warm log fire, good food and dog friendly. We had a lunch here and found it good value. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

We had visited in August of this year and when we arrived in Cornwall one of the first things we did was to book for Sunday lunch. In my previous review I had said that the Yorkshire puddings were very singed, not so this time. The roast beef was so tender and the whole meal was appetizing and delicious. The waitree who brought our desserts was so helpful, I had forgotten to mention that I am allergic to strawberries and when my brownie was served with one on top she immediately went and replaced it with another portion, something that she did not have to do and I was very grateful for her help with this. We will definitely be booking for lunch again when we are next in Cornwall.

We visited for Sunday lunch, the food was tasty although the yorkshire puddings were a little singed. My only criticism is that I would have preferred my vegetables served next to the meat and potatoes and not buried underneath. The desserts were amazing!

Visited as a last minute idea for Sunday roast with my daughter, we hadn't booked but no problem and was shown to a table by a lovely lady who took the drinks order at the table and gave us the menu which had a great choice of roast meats to choose. The young girl who served us the meal was so pleasant and asked us about what condiments we would like ...but oh my the meal was amazing, the food was very hot and very tasty we were even tempted to dessert...all in all a great place to eat in lovely surroundings with very friendly staff will definitely be back.

Lovely pub , waiters really nice, had roast beef dinner for 2 , roast beef very very fatty , even had a job cutting it , roast potatoes were only half roasted, obviously what was left from lunch and reheated, bread and butter pudding didn’t even taste proper, very big disappointment considering how nice the pub looks , I suggest they find a new chef and one that is nice to the waiters , never eat there again

Local produce is used in most of the dishes you can tell the difference in the taste . The prawn & Monkfish curry was authentic and of exceptional quality . It’s a friendly pub with a great atmosphere the owners are lovely people. Reasonably priced .A great dining experience.Highly Recommended.

Went for a roast lunch. Short wait for food but came out luke warm and on cold plates. Average roast have had alot better. Staff very friendly and helpful. Think they were having a busy day.

Friendly staff with good food served in a traditional cornish pub .Can be busy so wise to book a table .If you do not have a car or wish to sample the bar a bus stop is not far away
