Didn't sell food but you can go to the fish shop and bring food back Absolutely no Atmosphere what so ever the young lady behind the bar very nice

I recently visited the Coach and Horses Pub in Rillington with a group of seven friends, and it was a fantastic experience. Pamela, the owner, was incredibly nice and polite, making us feel right at home. Her hospitality was exceptional, ensuring we had everything we needed. The pub offers a great selection of drinks, catering to all tastes. We enjoyed playing pool and darts, and the beer garden was a lovely place to relax. Despite not serving food at the moment, Pamela and her husband kindly picked up food from a local takeaway for us, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Overall, the Coach and Horses Pub is a must-visit. With Pamela’s great hosting, excellent drinks, and fun amenities, it’s a top spot in Rillington!

Often driven past, never stopped until recently. Very glad we did. A very nice pub; good service, nice ambience and wide selection of drinks and bar snacks. Didn't have food on this occasion unfortunately, but wouldn't hesitate to do so when we hopefully pay another visit in future.

Called in for something to eat, when we arrived home from days away in Windermere. There was only pizza on menu. Ended up coming home and ordering a Chinese takeaway.

Stopped off for lunch with my sister, we ordered the filled Yorkshire puddings. I had pork sausages, sis had veggie sausages. Both enjoyed a realy lovely filling, good value meal. Will definitely go again

What a wonderful place to spend precious family time. Fully attentive, but unobtrusive, intelligent staff, combined with a small but beautiful menu, food from which was exquisitely prepared and served. Check it out guys !!!!! It is a gem 💎 ✨️

Easter Sunday, popped in for lunch. Both of us had roast beef dinner, cannot say how delicious it was!! The beef was perfect, absolutely gorgeous veg- not just the basic carrots and broccoli 😋 Would definitely recommend 👌 I will be talking about this for a while!

Sunday dinner was nice but not the best ive had. Meat was a bit bland. Ok for the price.

I returned to Rillington today where I grew up, after walking my dog I called in at The Coach and Horses Pub, where it was warm and welcoming and had some foot tapping tunes playing, all surrounded with modern comfortable decor and festive cheery decorations, I was met by the manager malcolm who appears to be a ' jack of all trades ' as well as a welcoming and friendly man, I ordered a coffee, and then some authentic english comfort food in the form of a substantial portion of giant yorkshire pudding filled with ' Turners Butchers' sausage mash and veg, it was hot, delicious and unfortunately beat my appetite, I thankyou malcolm and staff for the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere in what is a great little yorkshire village, with links to malton, York, and coast, I hope to return and warm my toes after walking in the beautiful countryside once again 😊 🚶‍♀️ 🐾

I had half a roast chicken, without a Yorkshire pudding to make it gf. The chef also made me some gf gravy. The mash, cabbage with bits of bacon, even the carrots was amazing. The chicken was beautifuly moist. I may have to go back this Sunday

Fabulous food, good portion sizes, very nice surroundings, fine beer, friendly staff and a chef that is visible and asks how your food was. What more can you ask? Oh, and great value for money.

My family and I enjoyed the most gorgeous Sunday lunch here. The food was superb, the customer service was excellent and the chef went above and beyond to accommodate the gluten free and dairy free dietary requirements for both myself and my step daughter. The food truly was amazing and the roast potatoes to die for! Hats off to the chef, it really was the best Sunday roast we’ve had! The added bonus was that there’s a dog friendly area inside so we could bring our pooch, what more could you want!

Very tasty and very reasonable Sunday lunch. Our dog had a bit of an issue when another dog turned up and sat right opposite (inside). Not sure why, just took a dislike to the other dog. We went and sat in the beer garden because of this, which was actually really nice. The Chef, which is possibly also the Manager, came out and chatted to us to see if we were ok and happy still. We are on holiday from South Lincolnshire or we would visit here very very often. All the food was lush, but especially the cabbage and bacon cooked in butter was amazing! Thanks for a lovely experience and being so understanding with our dog.

Very nice Sunday roast and good value, I had the beef with all the trimmings and my wife had the pork, she doesn't like mash potato but they were happy to substitute for a few extra roasties. Mains were reasonable at £12.50 each, starters and desserts would have been £5 each but we didn't have them though all in all, 2 mains, a pot of tea and 3 pints came to just over £40. They're also dog friendly in the bar and were very understanding even though our dog and the one at the next table decided to start barking at each other which was out of character for him to not settle. We were offered another table inside, but we opted to eat our lunch outside as it was warm anyway.

Excellent gastro pub. Small menu but very good food. Best gammon steak I've ever tasted. Beer garden and large car park, dog friendly except in restaurant.

Booked 3:45pm on a Sunday, bar staff were lovely. Chef came out himself and asked what our 5 and 8 year olds would like! Amazing service, delicious food. This is our second visit and once again, we were not disappointed!

Amazing place to eat, great atmosphere and food and the staff are so friendly. Ate here for dinner with three little ones as a family and the staff couldn't do more to help us.

A wonderful dining experience had by all , the 3 x steak were perfectly cooked beautifully presented and ample in size , all for a very reasonable price . My fellow diners had desserts which were freshly made and divine ( Eaton mess and rhubarb crumble ) a wonderful evening thank you Malcolm and his team

Called in for a quick drink on the way home following a trip to the coast. Very friendly staff and a nice selection of cask ales. Not currently serving food but we were told that food would be served again at the beginning of February 2022. We will definitely call in for a meal then.

Brilliant decor (I don’t usually like old pubs being modernised but they did this very well! Matt made us very welcome and also greeted Teddy with a treat and a bowl of water. We had smoked haddock chowder and braised beef cheek! Both delicious and faultlessly presented! We’ll be back!

What a wonderful evening. Such lovely friendly and efficient staff. But most importantly the food was delicious our particular highlight was the cod loin with tempura pork belly & curried mussels, perfect for an autumnal evening.

Well I arranged to meet my daughter there for lunch on a Wednesday at 1pm, but nothing on offer except drinks? Not a staffing problem because there was about 5 or 6 staff stood about talking so what is going on that they cannot even offer sandwiches ? A family came in and went away after they were told no food, they said they were busy prepping for evening? Very strange, won't bother again.

We stopped here completely by chance while looking for a place to have some dinner whilst driving across the country. We were happy to find out that we could sit inside with the dog too. We were quickly seated at a table and found the menus had a good range of choice. Two of us chose burgers, one the truffled cheddar beef burger and the other a tandoori chicken burger. The other two chose a Antipasti sharing board. The food arrived in good time and was thoroughly hot. My beef burger was excellent, I really couldn’t fault it. The tandoori chicken burger was also very well received. The Antipasti board was quite a good size and so I ended up having some of that too. The quality of everything on it was faultless and the sourdough toast was a particular highlight, I’d have happily eaten a whole plate of that myself. Faultless experience at very good value for money. Thank you.

We eat here regularly and the foods fantastic, alway beautifully cooked. The pub caters for allergies and dietary requirements with such kindness. The staff are always fab, the food reliable, locally sourced, high quantity and scrumptious. The chefs have a great taste for seasonings too.

Excellent food and welcoming hosts. Really enjoyed ourselves here, just wish it was our local!

Disappointing. On entering the restaurant, we had to pass staff outside who were vaping. When we asked for a table the staff member looked around for a minute then walked off without any indication as to whether I should follow or not. He then walked past us with what we thought was the food menu but turned out it was the wine list. We had to specifically ask if they did tea and coffee. After a 10 minute wait we asked for a menu only to be told it came with the drinks. After another 10 minutes he finally made the coffee. Looks great from the outside but bad communication from staff and a long time waiting for a menu and attention meant we left without ordering food. £8 for two coffees and a sarcastic “bye” on the way out. Won’t be visiting again.

We called in on the way back from the coast and we were pleasantly surprised. I would say the service and the food were impeccable. The roast dinner was the best one I’ve had out in a very long time.

What a pleasant surprise decided to check the coach and horses out on Sunday for father's Day and being a fussy eater I wanted to know what was on offer before booking. The online booking system was easy to use and I received a fast response were very helpful in sending over the menu in advance. Was not disappointed in the slightest everything was beautiful and tasty will definitely be going again soon. Thanks for a lovely meal

We decided to book here based on the reviews and as it was a bank holiday Monday decided to book well in advance. I really wished we had not bothered. We were shown to our table and handed a paper menu titled Hog Roast. The menu had 2 main courses on it. Scampi and Chips or a veg curry. At first I thought this was a specials menu and asked the waitress for the full menu, to be told, they had had a very busy weekend and this is all they could offer. At NO point prior to our arrival did the restaurant try to contact us to let us know of the limited menu and had it not been a bank holiday Monday and that I had just driven down from Scotland I would have walked straight back out. We decided to make the most of it and ordered. The mains arrived and they were acceptable. We were about to order dessert only to be told that the sticky toffee pudding was not available. As nothing else took anyones fancy we decided to order just coffee, to be told the coffee machine was broken!! How can anyone run a restaurant this bad and manage to get so many good reviews. This place is a joke, I cannot stress enough how much it should be avoided until there is new management in place. I have attached a copy of the menu to show that this was what they considered acceptable that day!

Had a couple of meals in the past 4 weeks. Service is great and the food was excellent. Sunday lunch was exceptional.

Lovely roast beef Sunday lunch!

Stopped here on the way to Whitby (to try the best fish and chips in the UK according to A A Gill) and ended up having the best lasagne in the UK too! My missus had the fish of the day (Red Mullet) which was perfectly cooked and well planned. Great meal and desserts were proper good too! Great service, cool place - thanks to Chris, Adam and the team.

Good service & reasonable food. I had the Sunday roast dinner with beef. Whilst there was plenty of meat it was still bloody & i prefer my meat done a little more. (Why didn't i send it back i hear you ask,,,? why do they not ask how you like your beef at the time of service is the answer. There was also too much gravy on the meal as well. I don't mean this to sound like it was a bad meal because it wasn't but i would suggest that the gravy is served in a gravy boat (which they also served us) & wished they asked how you like the roast beef doing (to which i would have replied roasted).!
