This was a random stop just to use the toilets, but we ended up having a few drinks and a Vegan meal and yes the food was very good. The service by barman was great - great hospitality and nothing was too much trouble so thanking you there. As for food the Vegan Chilli with rice, along with the Beyond Burger was really tasty worth the pit stop. The place has history so its worth going just to see this.

Beautiful little pub, bigger on the inside than you might think. Friendly and welcoming service. Good selection of drinks at London prices. Well worth a visit.

Stumbled upon this place while exploring the city, and I’m so glad I did. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a classic pub , cozy, friendly, and full of character. The Fish & Chips were amazing, crispy batter, tender fish, and perfectly golden chips. The Chicken Kyiv was also a standout, with juicy chicken and rich garlic butter. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and great drinks. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

A lovely quaint pub with a great atmosphere. The food we had was very nice but unfortunately something has gone wrong with their delivery so not much choice. Not their fault. I would recommend it here.

I was looking for a beer in Mayfair, and this was the only one I could find open on a Sunday lunchtime. I was very impressed with the building architecture and the leaded lights. As I entered, the interior didn't disappoint either. Very pleasant service from the professional bar server. I asked for a recommendation and was poured a small amount to try. A very nice Level Head IPA was enjoyed for the princely sum of £7.70. I had a very relaxing half hour here listening to the ambient music. Very nicely decorated and a value for money if you fancy eating.

Pedimos comida al entrenador y Caballos Mayfair y nos decepcionó lo que nos dieron, pedimos el Gran Tostado de Queso para mí y mi esposa y para uno estaba frío y la cantidad de queso que estaba dentro del tostado no valía la pena tener ya que prácticamente no había queso. Nos quejamos al personal del bar y nos dieron un reembolso y nos fuimos a buscar otro lugar para comer también las tostadas llegaron aproximadamente una hora después de que tuvimos pedido. Muy decepcionado.

I've been to this pub on and off for the last 3-4 years as used to work in Mayfair. Decided to give it a visit over the Christmas period whilst in town. Service is second to none. Kind, warm gentleman serving at the bar. One guy was wearing a t-shirt that said "cricket is everyone's game with gentleman's crossed out". Seems a small thing but it felt so inclusive from that pov... and in the wake of what's going on now it was really nice to see (although I doubt that was to do with it) and just what the bar manager believes in. I'm a big cricket fan so that was nice. I didn't catch his name but a young guy with brown hair was so kind and sat at my table to hold it whilst I got up to get another drink. Don't change guys - this is why we remember you and come back years later. Nice to see racial diversity serving at the bar too. See you soon for sure and thanks for the hospitality. I hope Fullers sees this and commends you guys. Happy New Year.

Waited over half an hour for the food, only to be notified after waiting that there is no food left. What a waste of time

Been to many a central London pub and would have to rate this one as one of the worst in memory! This fantastic old London boozer completely failed to deliver on all fronts! The pub tables hadn’t been cleared from previous diners and the bar was full of empties despite the pub being largely empty. The bar service from the two bartenders was very slow and we were served Prosecco in a gin glass as all the flutes and wine glasses hadn’t been washed. There wasn’t a juice offering and the previous customer was served by both the bar staff at the same time, bizarre. We ordered chips which although were quite nice numbered 14 per plate. All in all a very very poor experience. Shame

Estábamos haciendo una Navidad en Londres Las luces caminan por internet. Se detuvo a mitad de camino en el C&H. Teníamos bacalao con patatas fritas que cuesta alrededor de £ 17 por persona. Enormes filetes de bacalao, bonitos y frescos y escamosos. Grandes patatas fritas sabrosas, buena salsa tártara casera. Muy buena comida y relación calidad-precio.

Shocked that they charge £8.50 for an orange and lemonade. I queried it and they said that an orange is £4.50 and a splash of lemonade is £4 Can't afford to drink here.

We stumbled upon this place by accident! Super, super charming and great food. The bacon and chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread was delicious. Wonderful atmosphere and great music. Large selection at the bar, as well. Service was incredible! 10/10 definitely recommend!

- no response to online query/booking from 3 days before - booking not found when arrived - slow bar service (just one person at the bar) - told 30 mins wait for food (fine) but starters took 45 mins and mains 1 hr 15 mins - no apology for slow service, just food put on table - 5 of the 7 main meals came. 6th and 7th didn't arrive until 10 mins later we checked if they were coming - they had only just remembered about them not what l would expect!

Visited here a couple of times , limited on the seating but good pit stop would return again

Nice historical pub in a posh world of Mayfair, a good place to hop in for a pint. I don't get some reviewes complaining about small things like worn chairs.. it's a pub, not a resturant. Drinks: quite a small selection but you'll find smth to enjoy for sure. Food: 3 stars are about it. Had some plans nearby and booked a table for a quick bite (Sat, 3pm). Booking was confirmed with no warnings or additional notes. When we arrived we had to find someone to seat us.. but it is quite common for pubs. After getting our table we were informed that we need to order our foods at the bar (which is quite common as well).. we've spent some time exploring the menu and I have to say it was quite a rich menu for a pub and specials were looking very promising. But only after I spent ~15min in a line to the bar I was informed that I'll have to wait for ~1h for my food to arrive (even just chips). So not my booking nor the staff who seated us warned me about this. As a result - time wasted to get there.. very frustrating. Staff: quite friendly but very busy

A traditional oldy worldy pub. A lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and a good selection of real ales🍺. We just had a bowl of chips and onion rings as a snack, which were OK, but there was much more on the menu. The beers were good though, drunk in a lovely setting.

In the middle of all the posh cafes, cocktail bars and restaurants this pub is a true oasis of traditional pub experience. Very lucky to find a table for two on a Saturday afternoon. We were informed that our food order night take over an hour to prepare, yet it came within 45 minutes. Fish and chips were spot on. Fair pricing and very friendly service even at busy times. More places like this in downtown London, please.

Ok as a pub BUT during my week in London this place won the price of having the worst stinking toilet room of all I visited. I thing it is the worst I visited ever!

Thursday at 5pm and half the menu is not available…really? Had to go to the bar and stand in line to order food. I had the duck hash which was very good. Companion had the salad ..disappointing. Seating was cramped with other tables.

This was the second time visiting this pub, it has a great location and is historic to boot. Being Greene King it is possible to expect a good level of drink & food and decent service.

Awful wine that was clearly left open too long. Tasted like vinegar. No discounted price for serving “pints” and wine in small, cheap disposable cups either.

The best Fish and Chips I have had yet!! Lightly battered and a huge portion of fish. Believe me, I have been eating F&C across the UK, and this is hands down the best!! Great staff and fun place!!

There was basically nothing of the menu. But we had to discover it while choosing three times because anybody told us. Not pleasant experience overall, as they also ask us to move table twice while cleaning in closing time.

If you want to spent 20 minutes, staying in a que to place the order, so this is the right place.... Quality of food is awful. Never order what they call devon crab. Cheese toast served with side salad? Realy? Check the photo. I did not touch it! And I have no words for chicken wings...

Finally made it to Coach & Horses Mayfair! Amazing place I had a good pint of Guinness and a delicious Duck Hash! OMG this was so good I had never had a duck hash before but the flavors were great sweet and sour so good! Brigitte Bardot did a photo shoot here in the 1963 while filming ‘The Ravishing Idiot’ with Anthony Perkins. The building survived the bombing of London during World War Two. Can’t recommend this place enough a must visit while in London Mayfair area!

Lovely quirky pub. But we booked for Sunday lunch, got to pub and no food items available for Sunday lunch. They had an order issue. However I did say it would have been proper if management contacted us to ask if we still wanted to dine there or give a reduction on the price of food we did order. Was so late in the day to traps around London looking for food..!

The hazy beer I had was some weird grape flavour or something bizarre but it was okay and they have other beers too that are just normal. Barman was friendly and my boss paid for the drinks so yeah 100% would come back

I was so excited to try this pub out for a Sunday roast. We waited an hour for our food and was told that the kitchen was super backed up even though the pub wasn't full. Our food was not warm when it did arrive and the beef roast consisted of 2 small thing pieces of beef. The gravy was the one thing that saved the meal. I left feeling very disappointed.

Called in today and the service was quick and friendly. The downside was the delivery of the food, which was lacking. If you want a drink but no food then I would recommend but if you want food, I’m sadly to say avoid !

Popped in for a weekday lunch. It was very quiet, mostly people working on laptops. Bartender very polite and efficient , we ordered food and both plates came without advertised accompaniments. No crushed peas as they “don’t do them any longer” no alternative offered on ordering but a bowl of peas brought out after the query. Not a scrap of bacon in the cabbage with bacon that supposedly came with the duck leg and the tiniest amount of crushed potatoes, amounting to 4, that looked like 2 new potatoes cut in half and fried. After we left, I realised the fried egg that was advertised as topping the potatoes was absent too. Nice environment, but wouldn’t rush back for food, not worth almost £36, pity, as could have been so much better. Nice environment, food was ok, but unacceptable to have so many missing components.

Beautiful pub with the most friendly and helpful staff! Popped in for a quick pint on the way to the theatre and ended up staying for food, after seeing some delicious meals being taken to the table next to me! I had the coach burger and my friend had the steak. Both meals cooked beautifully and I will be returning next time I'm in Mayfair!

Traditional London pub in the centre of Mayfair. Relaxed environment with comfortable seating, stained glass windows, wood beams and wood panelled walls. Service is swift and cheerful, full range of alcoholic beverages, and reasonably varied superior pub grub menu. Dog friendly too!

The pub is a good size with two well-decorated floors. The staff are friendly, and you can pay with cash or card. Service was quick, and they also serve food. Everything was fine. I recommend this pub.

The bar maid Sophie, is brilliant. She made us feel so welcome and has such a great energy. She’s an asset to the Coach & Horses pub. It wouldn’t be the same experience without her smile, her laugh and her pint pulling abilities. If she’s not on shift when you’re in the pub…you’re missing out.

Had cold drinks during the day. Staff wasn’t particularly nice but sufficed for a cold one. Wouldn’t recommend it unless convenience is your goal.

I was in the central London area today and stumbled across this historic and cozy pub.im more than glad I did as the food and beer was top notch but what topped off my experience was the bartender who served me (sophie).she was welcoming, spirited ,could pour a good pint and was able to assist me with some questions I had about the area .she has great customer service.would highly recommend and will be returning again most definitely. Chill atmosphere with good music in one of the oldest bars in London on the street where Queen Elizabeth II was born. The beef and beer pie is delicious and so is the burger! The welcome is friendly but you have to sit down yourself and order at the counter. The waiter made me taste the beers to see which one I would like, thank you very much 🙏
