Clydach Tandoori - Indian Takeaway in Swansea

Didn’t have a problem with them before apart from the food not having enough salt and then being late delivering. But I ordered from them recently and the day after I was really sick so wouldn’t recommend from here.

its very hard finding halal places in such a low muslim populated area, im not from the area originally but i come here to visit family and wanted something to eat thats halal, i didnt expect to find anything but i found this lifesaver of a shop, the lamb biryani was literally 10/10, perfect spiciness perfect lamb mashallah. the chicken tikka starter was just indescribable with words of i lived here id eat this every week 🤣

Disappointed again. It seems the quality and freshness and quantity of the food offered here is on the decline. I have been a loyal customer for many years when the food here was the best in the area. I'm not sure if the people who are preparing and cooking has changed, but I'm not visiting again.

Finally found a nice curry house! Tikka masala was a bit sweet but all other food ordered was amazing!

What a joke 2 and a half hours and when I phoned them they said depends on the driver what a joke honestly

Ordered at 6.20 and got delivered at 9pm🤷‍♂️, Also was not hot and quite bland tasting. second time ordering a delivery from clydach tandoori and it was the same the first time ordering it takes 2 hrs but the food was better that time . Stop taking as many orders if your quality is being affected

2hrs to make a delivery not a mile away. Food was cold when arrived. Never again ! Food was ok but standard has fallen over recent months. Regularly used this takeaway but will be searching recommendations in the area for something new. Disappointing !

Ordered on Swansea eats, came 35mins late , no update on delivery.hour and ten mins later we had a notification to say that the food was out for delivery!!!!! Food was mediocre but gave us a bottle of coke because of the delay.Both meals looked the same,even though they weren’t

I don't understand why so tight with the chicken? There's around half a chicken breast cut into 8 pieces to try to spread it out I mean come on we are paying enough

We visited tonight and had a selection from the vegan menu. Mushroom Chat, Vegetable Rogan Josh with rice, chips and poppadoms. The food was fresh, hot and so flavoursome. The service was excellent; really friendly and quick. Highly recommend a visit!

This place have always received very large orders from ourselves, ordered at 19.14 and received at 21.29 Missed out dips, told a fib that our food was on its way when it actually wernt either

Being vegan it is always appreciated when restaurants have a designated area of the menu which the clydach tandoori has. They offer a great selection of dishes and although they don’t offer any vegan breads on the actually menu, they are usually happy to make a vegan roti which I am always grateful for. Many of the dishes I have ordered have all been spot on, there are also options to adjust the heat of the sauce or to add ingredients for an extra cost. My favourite dish is the veg kochi, I used to alter it to madras hot, also add spinach and mushrooms but the last few times I’ve left it as is and it has been faultless, maybe it’s best to leave tasting to the professionals 😂 Can pay online or cash on collection, Highly recommend

I last reviewed this restaurant in October 2022 and have had many good meals from there since but last night’s food was atrocious. The only differences I can think of is a) they’ve got a new chef who’s diabolical or b) they use a different chef on a Thursday night. We usually buy from here at the weekend. My husband’s who always has the same meal a lamb saag - said if he was blindfolded he wouldn’t recognise what he was eating. I had the special biriani which was just tasteless. Most of our meals went into the bin - a complete waste of time and money. I’ll have to find a new favourite Indian restaurant.

Heard good things about this place from friends, decided to try it out with my family. We ordered lamb balti, egg rice, chicken tikka kebab with garlic nan, spicy chips. What a delight this was lamb was tender and soft, flavours of the balti is wow. The chicken tikka kebab was the best I’ve ever tried, the spicy chips is at a good spice level, they’ve got some heat but not boiling - good taste and flavour to them. 10/10 would recommend to anybody!

Had my first takeaway from clydach tandoori tonight . It was absolutely amazing will definitely be ordering from here again . Love the massive choice of meals and the option to add on stuff ! Lovely

Tbh it’s the only Indian Restaurant I can rely on atm. Curries are what you order - medium are medium. Mild are mild. Chicken is quality poultry not a frozen warehouse bagful. Lamb is always tender and tasty. Prawns are small unless of course you ask for King prawn - which are expensive everywhere. I tend to mix and what what we want. Hubby usually wants a lamb saag or similar. Last time I had a medium chicken curry. I used to love a dhansak but over the years it’s become to spicy for me. That’s an idea for the menu a medium dhansak.

I havent had food from here for a while, so fancied a curry so I decied to order a delivery. My go to from here is a lamb tikka vindaloo, tarka dhal, keema chilli rice and a paratha. The vindaloo is one of the best I have had for a long time, the lamb pieces were moist and tender and the vindaloo sauce was full in flavour with a lot of depth. The keema chilli rice was top drawer, the keema was tender and full of flavour and the rice was cooked perfectly. The tarka dhal can be watery, this one was thick and full of flavour and dare I say the best I have had for years. The meal has been the best Indian meal I have had from you guys and for years, better than some I have had in restaurants. Keep with with your great work. I always recommend to my friends if they are after a decent Indian Take away, yours for me was Top Notch! Keep up your great work Clydach Tandoori!

We will never order from this place again. We made an order to which my husband went to collect and the owner/cook thought it was OK to comment on my appearance, my husband replied not to speak about me in that way to which when he left the shop they all were laughing and giggling. I'm sorry that is not good customer service or the right attitude to have.

Order was accepted by the restaurant at 5:52pm.food delivered at 8:55 pm after being told it was out for delivery twice.is 3 hours acceptable????

We have always ordered from this Indian takeaway place and we waited 3 hours for our food and we were told 1 hour and 30 minutes. The service is rubbish, wouldn’t order off them ever again unless you want your food on later arrival.

We had a terrible experience. We have ordered food from here regularly and this particular time, they thought it was OK to comment on my appearance to my husband to which he said he did not appreciate, as he walked out of the shop they were all laughing and giggling. We did not appreciate how they behaved and if it was the other way around I'm sure they would be upset aswel. We will never order food from here again, and we will also remember from now on who we want to have as a sponsor on our football team kit. Very disappointed

Absolutely horrific tonight. Told 1 hour waited 2 hours and man was disgusting on the phone and hung up on us. Our food was cold on arrival never again!!

Amazing food, we tried a few different meals this time, we had a 1/2 tandoori chicken and meat samosas along side our main meals. Beautiful taste. Always arrives hot and perfectly cooked, will always order our Indian food from this takeaway business. Thank you all that work and deliver( delivery drivers are always polite and professional) never disappointed with our choices.

Absolitely stunning food, delicious!!! Highly recommend chicken shakuti and chicken tikka kebab. All of the dishes are cut above other Indians!! Tip - can get busy on a Saturday as very popular so plan your order ahead. You won't be disappointed

Gutted. Had 3 takeaways and been absolutely fantastic, left brilliant reviews but tonight we waited almost 2 hrs for food to b delivered and it came really cold and not a patch on the last 3 meals, both were tasteless, no heat in the sauce. Soft popodoms and cold, very dissatisfied. Unfortunately we will have to rethink returning. 🥴

First time ordering online and I will certainly be doing it again. Really easy to order and didn’t have to wait very long for a home delivery. Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 was that the food was not very hot. It would not put me off ordering again as we have had many takeaways with no problem. One query I would have tho - are your delivery drivers provided with masks?

I recently ordered a kimchi chicken from a new restaurant that has opened in Cwmrhydyceirw it was delicious. But as they haven’t got an online ordering site yet I decided to order it from Clydach Tandoori. It was awful. Absolutely nothing like what it should be like. The chicken wasn’t even cut right! I had huge pieces of chicken which I had to cut into 6 before I could start eating it! There was also a mistake with the order - I ordered vegetable biryani. But got mushroom Biryani. Hubby had his usual Lamb Saag which was fine. Disappointed this time.

Ordered Manic Wednesday @5pm for delivery. poppadoms were limp and Tandoori Prawn was 2 prawns with onion for £6. Not up to usual high standards, dissappointed having spent £90 on family Birthday meal.

my girlfriend wanted to eat from here for her birthday i was a bit aprensive at first but I got to say best Indian takeaway I have had in 20yrs what a meal xant wait to go back 5***** also the place was spotless

Used to like this place havent even ordered tonight went to order kebabs but seen you get charged a pound for everything even sauce! would end up paying 10 pound for each kebab and last time there was hardly any chicken, used to put with the prices but lately it's just not worth it.

Used this restaurant twice while on lockdown and I can absolutely say we’re hooked. We’ve had two fabulous meals - me chicken curry and hubby lamb saag. We did the second order on their website - not the easiest website I’ve come across but hey ho I got there in the end. By mistake I ordered the vegetable bhaji instead of the onion bhaji - a mistake I’ll be making again - gorgeous. Just hope I can rely on the high standard we’ve experienced during the last fortnight.

If I could give 0 stars I would. FOOD POISONING WARNING!! pink chicken!! Absolutely horrendous. Besides that chips were soggy. Rice was horrendous and obviously microwaved around 4 times!!! Curry was watery and full of grease!!! Naan was cold and crusty. And papadoms were stale and not fresh. Awful Indian, will be taking this chicken to food hygiene in neath port Talbot tomorrow!!!

Ordered a takeaway following recommendations, at 6.30pm tonight - it is now 9.00pm and we are still waiting for our delivery. This is awful customer service we were told it would take an hour! I rang back at 7.50pm to be told it would be 30 mins - still waiting!!! I appreciate these are difficult times but if you can’t handle the amount of orders you should say so instead of taking people’s money under false pretences! This is appalling and despite the good recommendations we will not be ordering from you again Update- takeaway arrived about 9.40pm and had to be warmed up! My chicken Tikka pathia was actually lamb which I hate! Most of it went in the bin as we had gone past eating by then! Very, very disappointing and a waste of money!

it was a basic order that did what it said on the tin ......but the food wasn't as good as some of the reviews would lead you to believe me and my partner both found ourselves severely dehydrated later on in the evening which would indicate a heavy over use of salt in dishes , as a basic takeaway its OK but im not sure we would be rushing for another one

Just to let you know it was our 1st time ordering last week and we had a big delivery with a couple of orders and it was fantastic. Tonight though has been awful... we ordered 2 orders to the same address at the same time. (The orders were processed on the phone and we said if you can tell us price for each order so easily to sort money out). We rang at 7pm... at 8.30 one order came but with out the other one?! I then rang the shop at 8.50 as there was no sign of the second order, they stated driver was on the way. Then a delivery driver rung us at 9 saying he was lost so we directed him. The delivery driver arrived at 9.15pm and was very apologetic as he was lost. We then open our delivery to find they have put the wrong naan in and haven’t put in all of the chutney tray. We then ring back to say we are missing / have wrong items. We are told that we’ll have to wait for driver to come back. It is now 9.50pm and still no sign of rest of food they hadn’t put in, I have rung again and been told it’s on the way. Also no sincere apology on phone either really disappointed in your customer service. The delivery driver was more apologetic that he couldn’t find the house. Disappointed as I thought this would be our new Weekly Indian to go to!

Gutted that I have missed this place over the past few years. They are not on Just Eat, but they have a website that you can order from. The delivery fee of £3.50 to Pontardawe is a bit steep but well worth it when you get the food. To date they have delivered on time, with hot food and they have been consistant in flavour, texture and presentation. Recommeded

Really dont know what's going on with this place as it USED to be the only indian takeaway we would use however the past 3 meals we have had have been awful. First bad meal I put down to a one off then it happened again but I still thought I'd give it another chance much to our dismay. Indian takeaway are expensive as you have to pay for everything separate & to have 3 bad meals something is obviously not right. The chicken tikka was awfully fatty so we had to pick bits off, the curry was so watery it left a pile of water on the plate, the mint sauce has been changed to a lot more runnier than it used to be & also it's a different colour. The chicken tikka kebab is now swimming in a fatty oil which causes the naan to go soggy which is not nice. I know Amin is not there anymore which clearly shows as so much has changed but in a bad way. I highly doubt we will be using this indian takeaway again....

I have never seen an Indian menu with so much vegan choice, each container was also clearly labelled with vegan stickers so they obviously take it very serious! Even though I find most Indian takeaways very accommodating by adapting dishes I often wonder how strict they are but did not have that concern this evening! Highly recommended and their 5 star hygiene rating is also a rarity in the takeaway industry!!!

Tasty, fast, great choice reasonably priced... just moved to Swansea this will now be my new regular treat!! Staff are helpful and friendly too !! 10 out of 10

Ordered a take away tonight . Brochure price came to £18.50 but when ordered quoted a price of £23.35 including delivery of £1.50. When food arrived the amount on the delivery order was crossed out and the amount of £24.40 had been added! Delivery lady phoned the take away to check the price and was told it was the delivery charge, so I paid ! Although the food was really nice when I later looked at the prices on the website everything totalled £21.75 and then with delivery would be £23.25!!!! I amNow very doubtful if I will order again as I fear I will be messed around with the price again .

In my opinion, there is no finner Indian takeaway in the Clydach area (and I've tried many).

No went to Jen's next door....Chinese...ALWAYS friendly...ALWAYS nice.

Second time we have had a takeaway from here , delivery was explained an hour and it was on time , our meals were fantastic hot, and well packed , the four meals we ordered 2 chicken shashlik, one Chicken tikka Madras and chicken Jalfrezi sauces were tasting as they should also had free popadums.will definitely be using you again

I went to the Indian for my birthday , I collected it , the food was delicious I would recommend this for food.

Great delivery time - within 40minutes. Food was hot and extremely tasty - we had 3 different curries and each one was delicious.

At last a takeaway that you can actually see the difference in the dishes you order. Very nice food, and the delivery was very quick even for a Friday night. Will definitely recommend.

Regular user - food is well cooked but unfortunately 2 hours 10 mins and two phone calls before delivery meant food arrived lukewarm but without an apology. Disappointing.

Recently had a mishap with the shop but after leaving a complaint Amin was quick to resolve the issue and make sure it was put right. The customer service he gave was above and beyond, we felt truly valued. Thank you so much for going completely out of your way to make sure the issue was resolved, by far the best customer service I have ever been given. After a recent mishap, clydach tandoori were very quick to correct and provided yet again a 5 star service. The food as beautiful as ever. I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else.

Food has always been spot on and super tasty. Great value for money too. Kebabs are a must try, they are sooo good I've lost count how many we have had now! You definitely won't be disappointed!

Clydach Tandoori is one of those Takeaways where the entire area can be proud of having. They create some of the tastiest indian food I have ever tasted and will be continuing to go here for many years to come.

Ordered food at 6.50 and given a time of 1 hour 15 delivery. Still waiting at 9.10. Unable to get through on landline and no answer on he mobile. Tried using the Webchat service on the website but they told me they are just there for online support and to call the shop. Extremely dissatisfied!!!

Ordered chicken madras and chips chicken macne and pilau rice 5 popadoms keema nan bread. No chips and only 2 popadoms but paid nearly 21 quid. Never again pal

Very impressed with the food from Clydach Tandoori. Tried many different dishes and every one of them beautiful. Last night we tried the chicken tikka kebab. AWESOME!

Have seen this take away advertised on Facebook for several weeks with their Chicken tikka Keebabs taking out fancy! We ordered easily online off their website where we had a code to get 10% off. We done it for collection! We arrived to collect food at the given time

1st time customer, very happy. Good size portions with good quality ingredients. Delivered on time 52 mins from online order. Little pricey and delivery charge could be lower but overall good
