Chilli Too in Swansea

Had a delicious Salmon Bhaja last night... beautifully cooked - generous portions....so pleasd they have such a good selection for veggies and fish eaters....best meal out in a very long time. Brought my left overs home and just as delicious the next day....thank you

Picked up a takeaway from here as I have done many times in the past. But this time I must say all the food was very bland tasteless, ,watery chilli "spiked"sauces,with no taste of spices,three curries all the same "gravies" (as per BIR should be,for speed of service)and then individually spiced. ... but these were just naga chillis and green chillis thrown into a water based sauce with chicken and peppers and labelled jalfrezi....same goes for the other meals.. spent nearly £60 on this "special "meal only to be utterly disappointed on how the quality of food in this restaurant has dropped dramatically .. this may seem like a harsh criticism but I've had many a full flavoursome meal from here in the past, but this time from one chef to another that food should never have been served to a paying customer..pics nann with added charcoal....pic2 naga chilli with veg???..

Lovely Indian restaurant, tasty food, good atmosphere & friendly service - will definitely visit again

Food has changed. Seems like it has changed ownership since Christmas as all staff are new there. Food is still nice but definitely not as nice as it used to be.

Remember first time i took my partner hear. Service was outstanding. food was delicious. And well presented with great quality. Very friendly, warm, welcoming atmosphere we thurrilly enjoyed. been goin back since last 2 years we've loved every secound still this very day.🙂

Ordered a take away never used them before . Onion bhajis were good . Tandoori mixed grill was dreadful way way to salty ended up in the bin couldn’t eat it . Chips were of a very poor standard . Overall not a good treat on a Saturday night very disappointed

We ordered a takeaway and was so disappointed with the starters. We paid £3.50 for 2 very small samosas which was a rip off for what we had. If we had known how few we would get we wouldn’t have ordered them. £1.75 each for a tiny samosa is not good at all. Such a shame as the food itself was lovely.

I love this place, small intimate restaurant with fully licence bar right in the heart of the town, short walk from a cocktail bar too so perfect for a meal before a night out with friends The staff are amazing and always up for a chat, the weekends are the best time to visit with a lovely atmosphere Or having a takeaway is great also, deliveries are made fast and right everytime, or collection is great the staff encourage a pint of Kobra while you wait

Food is stunning but this is the 2nd time we had keema Nan and no red meat in there is a little red in the Nan but no meat

Great food at a reasonable price, with friendly staff

I have been going to chilli too for years. But after tonight’s meal I will not be returning. The food was so terrible I had to throw it away. So now I have to cook for the family as we all still hungry. The curries were full of oil. Chips and rice must of been reheated several times to get to that point. Very disappointing to receive such a poor meal.

Portions are tiny. Prices are large. An OK meal but had same quality elsewhere for much cheaper. An example of this.... The veg samosas which I paid £3.50 and only two small ones in a bag. Size of a chicken nugget. Plus stone cold as if just pulled from fridge. Complained but was told tough that's how it its always been. Ah well one less customer for them to serve in future... 👍👍 Edit following chilli too reply. .... Was going to review straight away then I noticed another customer who had a similar poor complaint to this restaurant had a reply saying "they wish they had contacted the restaurant first". I decided to message the company privately on Facebook to give them a chance to respond. . But with no offer of resolution I simply informed then of my intent to review. No threats were made....

House special biryani is excellent. Service always top notch.

Heard good things so had a takeaway tonight quite disappointing with the food lacked flavour very bland a below average curry.

Our first visit to Chilli Too was a good adventure as the food was excellent and the staff had a perfect balance of being helpful but not crowding you. The food was well presented and tasty . Definitely good value and would happily recommend to others.

We have been coming here for years. But after tonight’s food , will most definitely not be returning. Hair in two of our dishes , this is totally unacceptable. Will most definitely never return.

Not sure who runs this now but its gone down hill dramatically , the food i had was completely un edible , curry was literally like water i have never ever had a curry as runny and as greasy as the one they gave me , chicken was like rubber It's not cheap either , doubt i will ever return

Stunning being from clydach this is my go to place spot on every time the staff are all brilliant food is amazing we have never had a bad meal here the non vegetarian thali for 2 absolute steal at 30 beans comes with starters few different currys and a Nan but no grandpa lol 😂 all jokes aside this place is a gem 5 stars from me happy days keep it up boys 👌🏻👌🏻

Reported that the food was burnt and greasy over the phone to these. And wasn't logged in the book and to be made out we are lying on the phone just now here is the proof of what we were served from here.

This is my local. I usually go here after rock climbing. We are usually dusty and not in restaurant style cloths. Always a warm welcome. I usualy have the Lahore balti and it's amazing. I asked for it to be spicy. Always hot and served with a smile

The ‘Ray special’ is a delight to behold. Always snappy service and kept us going during the pandemic. 5 star food rating on the door I believe. I travel from the other side of Swansea to get this so in my opinion very much worth it!

The best Indian restaurant/takeaway in the area.

Just had a delivery and wow absolutely outstanding. Naan was burnt but they sent another one straight up for me. The man on the phone was lovely, the food was lush and the delivery guy was lovely. Looking forward to having food from here again. Thankyou very much guys keep up the good work and stay safe

I went to pick up a takeaway l ordered over the phone. Before entering I put on my face mask to protect the staff, on entering to my horror none of the staff were wearing masks and there was a customer waiting who also did not wear a mask. Don't go there as the staff don't give a damn about your safety.

Visited with family . Small cosy restaurant good service from attentive staff . Large portions of food we even had the leftovers packed up.Surprised when bill arrived to have 20% discount they have a special offer on in November.It was a first time visit recommended by a friend will definitely return

Collected a take away from Chilli Too at the weekend, out third visit, unfortunately this will be be the last. Our two previous meals have been very good but on this occasions we were really disappointed. Naans and bhajis were burnt, and the two curried were not at the same quality as previous ones. The tandoori king prawn starter consisted of just two prawns; these were burnt also. We will stick to Mint Masala from now on.

Food was delicious. Had to wait a bit for the food when I was collecting but it was fine. We were all spaced out whilst waiting. Came nicely packaged.

£5.50 for one prawn! I’m still in shock how a takeaway can charge such ridiculous prices for a dish. Once realising that there was one prawn in my starter I immediately phoned to find out if this was correct. To my surprise I was told this was correct and that king prawns are expensive. After a discussion with the person on the phone and to be made out like I was born yesterday I was extremely patronised. To top itOff I was called butt on see real occasions. This is not how to treat customers.

Went to Chill Too on a Sunday evening, had previously booked, but didn't have our booking. One other couple there. Service was non existent, after waiting ages for a part of our meal,the rest never followed, while listening to the Chef shouting in the kitchen, we decided to leave. Will never go there again. They were far too busy dealing with Takeaway customers. I thought businesses were encouraging people to dine in !!!

Table for 6 on August 10 2020,great food, good atmosphere and Good service all ruined by staff or owner overcharging and taking advantage of the government £10 off scheme asked 3 times for a recount only to be told on the phone after we left when I phoned again that they had over charged us by £10 our bill was £162.00 minus the £60 off for the government scheme A £162 bill in a restaurant in Clydach on a Monday night real shame because we’ve all been affected by Covid 19 , they won’t have a penny off me again.

Before the new owner, chilli too used to be our family’s favourite place; but we won’t be coming back again. We gave chilli too one last chance yesterday but ended up totally disappointed by the lack of care the cooks have these days. The Naan breads were completely black on the outside after clearly being burnt beyond what should be servable to a customer. We had to throw away the majority of our chicken tandoori- 4 meals- because of how burnt and dried out it was; even removing the completely burnt parts didn’t hide the fact it was reheated one too many times. From our entire order, only 2 curries were edible on this occasion- everything else was either burnt or too dry to chew after being reheated many times before finding their way to us. It’s quite a shame, as we have always celebrated our occasions with chilli too, and the staff are lovely- but we can’t risk getting ill from the food being served there. Sacrificing quality and safety of the food is a perfect recipe for getting rid of customers. On 30th December 2019 they had a spot check with food hygiene standards- and got a 1 out of 5. If this continues, a 1 is too much; and they will have to close.

Great meal and good service but a recent visit by the food hygiene standard agency has put me off although they've done a good job of trying to hide their 1* rating in the top left hand side of window which is barley visible.

AMAZING Had a takeaway from here this evening. Never tried this restaurant before. It was the best Indian takeaway I’ve ever had! So tasty. I loved the chutney tray!

tonight ordered a collection and was told half hour, great, half hour later I arrive and pay the guy on the till, who takes my money, says he'll get my change and to have a seat. I wait half an hour right in front of the guy how took my money and nothing. So I ask how long for my order and he goes and checks, surprise, surprise its ready. he hands me my order and I have to politely ask for my change. Then get in my car feel the bag of food and its cold. the guy had clearly forgotten me and my change even though i'm right in front of him and he's doing sod all. instead of apologies for forgetting me and an offer to reheat/replace my order, I get handed a cold curry to take home. Never ever well I come back, i'll also share my experience with the people from the area.

Went to chilli too today on the 4/2/2020 firstly may i say how clean the place was with a clean womens toilet!!we had tray n popadoms and a starter each absolutely stunning nice and hot and very tasty and again we had a main meal wit nan bread again lovely and hot and tasty no complaints the beer is cold and crisp at £3.80 a pint not bad the waiter was lovely and polite and a welcoming attitude when you have finished your meal if you can as the portion is large and lovely you are offered to repackage to take home lovely service you are offered coffe wich i declined as we were so full then you are given a hot cloth in a package and a chocolate also the prices are very reasonable and suit most peoples pockets for a treat i would recommend this restaurant to anybody

Great place Great food but can feel a little rushed at tines

Food was lovely but service was poor, went on the 19th of January 2020 for our Ruby Anniversary. A party of 10 waited over a hour for our food then had to ask 2-or 3 times for drinks and sauces, after our food they could wait to get us out .

Horrible food service was a joke

Myself and two friends dined in Chilli Too on December 19th 2019, we hadn't booked and they were very busy, but they didn't turn us away,they very kindly found a table for us, the meal was first class, absolutely delicious from starter to mains, the waiter service was excellent, they couldn't do enough for us, polite and very efficient, this is the second time that I myself have been there, will definitely dine there again and they are very highly reccommended

Visited for a meal tonight with a couple of friends. We booked but were told they only had a 6.30pm table and they would need the table back by 8.00pm which was fine. We were reminded again when we arrived that we only had until 8pm and rushed to our table. In fairness the food was really lovely. We ordered 4 curries, 2 rice, 2 chips and 2 naan breads. We have ordered takeaway from here previously with no complaints either. My reason for the 3 star rating is based on the service alone. Staff were not particularly attentive and we felt rushed. Even whilst we were paying the bill the waiter was on the phone and not engaging with us at all. We left without them saying a word to us. Wouldn't return for a sit down meal based on our experience.

10 adults had large variety of starters and mains, fantastic service on a VERY busy evening 6th December. Delicious food had by us all, hot, fresh and very tasty, the waiters worked hard, polite and friendly all evening. We have eaten here numerous times and always had a beautiful tasty meal.Would highly recommend.

Tonight we had guests from London and needed to entertain them without travelling too far and we decided to have a drink in piccolos and booked a table in chillitoo. We had an amazing meal with great service and a very warm welcome. It’s nice to feel your custom is valued and this restaurant and it’s staff go that extra mile.Our friends loved the food and we shall be using this venue again soon.

Visited Chilli Too about a fortnight ago and have to say what was suppose to be a routine Indian meal turned into an all round great dining experience. waiting staff were friendly with great knowledge of the menu and recommended 2 dishes for very fussy eaters haha. Starters came out shortly after orders were taken and not too long after main course followed, wow what can I say all 4 of us were extremely happy with what we ate and I can go out an say best Indian we’ve visited in Wales and I’ve been to a few haha. Owner believe his name was Sunny came and spoke to us at length and mentioned that he has a few other places in the Swansea area which I’ll definitely visit as upon research they seem amazing too. All in a fantastic visit and will definitely visiting again even though about 45 miles away from my home, highly recommend anyone who is fan or even a not so much of a regular lover of Indian food to check this place out.

Went last week for food with the mrs and what can I say outstanding experience of dining!To start we had poppadoms and a chutney tray and this tasted outstanding, especially the chilli too red chutney! It then got followed by the starters in which we ordered the prawn puri and the hariyali chicken tikka, both was full of flavours and tastes outstanding!For the main course we both enjoyed the Laal Mass, and my mrs had the kochi murgh! Both were recommended by the manager Sunny, we wanted to try something different and got recommended these two dishes, both tasted Devine!Overall the experience and the food was both faultless, service was outstanding and would definitely return and would recommend Chilli Too to everyone!

Nice place for an Indian restaurant

Poor value for money and terrible food The waiters are more interested in themselves than the customers. The onion bhaji’s were so over cooked and dry that they actually disintegrated when cut with a knife, the chicken tikka was hard and bland and the jalfrezei stodgy. This was a takeaway and there is no way they would serve this to a sit down customer without it being sent back.

I’d never had a sit down meal in this restaurant but my daughter had been there the week before and said it was nice. On this occasion daughter and grandson ordered and both enjoyed their meals. I ordered a chicken and mushroom balti. It was awful. It was like chicken and mushrooms in a tomato paste no taste of curry whatsoever. In desperation, as I was hungry I ordered a portion of onion bhajis which were very nice.

Mediocre food, disinterested serviceWhen this restaurant first opened it was excellent ,however it has become victim to its own success,with mediocre food and less than perfect service . The restaurant offers a takeaway service which appears to be its priority . ,We waited more than an hour for our meals ,while bag after bag of takeaway orders passed us ,when I questioned the delay the staff apologised but no attempt to explain the delay was forthcoming . The food when it arrived was “just ok” lurid coloured masala was quite off putting . I don’t recommend this restaurant .

Best Indian restaurant and take away! Travel a fair distance but certainly worth it. Menu is creative. All dishes are succulent and tasty. Murgh bengal special certainly a favourite. 10/10.

First time visiting the restaurant and I have to say It was the best chicken balti I’ve ever tasted, great service and friendly staff, will definitely be returning.

My son give us a voucher for our christmas for this restuarant ,so we thought we would go with him and my grandaughter , the Table was booked for four at 7.30 We were shown to our table which was in the corner by the kitchen , and next to the waiters station which was very busy and cramped ,we asked if we could move into the main part of the restuarant ,which we did , We waited at least 15 minutes for the waiter to come for our drinks order, then 30 minutes for our order for food, it took one and a half hours for our meal to arrive , the meals were chicken pista mali , chicken corma , and newabi and lamb ,all three chicken dishes were exactly the same but one was very very red,and all so sweet inedable ,i have tasted treacle pudding with less sugar, the lamb chath kani was full of deap fried large pieces of onion and only three pieces of lamb more like due pieza ,we also had Sag , now sag is, as we know green or some times slightly brown, ,this was yellow sauce with probably a teaspoon of spinach and very disapointing One of the nans seemed to have either been bought in as it was tough more like the ones you buy from a supermarket ,which they would use when they are very busy ,during the whole evening no waiter came to ask us if we needed any thing ,even another drink ,The restuarant was very busy granted but that cannot be used as an excuse , Vertually all of the food was left , it was cleared by the waiter and not a word was said,No one asked why the food was left or if we enjoyed our food , This restuarant had a good reputation a few years ago ,but sorry this was very poor tonight ,would i go again, never,

Just came back from a family meal. Booked a table for 4 arrive on time get taken to a table which is basically so crammed in that I could hardly move and I'm only 5" 9. Request to move.
