Been so many times for a variety of shows from comedy, dance, rock, soul, opera etc. Great standard of entertainment. Essex audience is always great. Take your drinks or order to your seat 😁 Best location overlooking the sea especially during summer. Big plus for me is it’s walking distance. I try to book something every month.

Great venue. Restaurant is ok, not much choice on the menu. Having building work for the next couple of years (10/2024). Follow the signs for entrance. To the left, as you look at it, from the main road..

Small disabled car park full one hour before performance. Long walk to entrance for the disabled. Not enough seats in bar area (that were all taken up by able bodied customers). Insufficient signs showing 'card payments only' at bars. Jim Davidson was brilliant though.

Easy to find and access. Stalls seating is flat but still good views of the stage. Bar was busy and served customers quickly. Long queues at the ladies toilets suggests they should invest more in essential services if the venue is to be top notch.

Me & OH saw Jimmy Carr here in January, (brilliant). The venue itself is well signed, well managed as the staff are friendly and helpful. The drinks are, as you can imagine, extremely expensive. A can of lager and a Pepsi £9.15 😱 The seats are well spaced out and there’s tons of leg room, which is welcomed. For us the venue is easy to get to. Parking down on the beach road is free after 21:00, great for the later shows.

SouthendTheatres, can't you sell sweets in packets that don't make so much noise? Or "decant" haribo into paper cups? I love that this theatre is local and has some great shows/people playing here. My only negative point is the quality of the sound at this venue, it’s not always the best and I’ve struggled to hear some of the comedians. Great venue. Good view from seats. Facilities were clean and staff were helpful. Location is good. It would be nice if the lights to the side near the exits in the circle could be dimmed during the performance. These were kept on fully and were quite distracting for anyone close to the aisle. There was a no flash photography rule in place. Of course, people used flash but stewards had no real tactic to get those in the middle to stop, so instead would lean over us in the aisle. Again, distracting. Would be good to have options for bottled soft drinks without sweeteners too.

Restaurant has lost its way. It's not unusual for a restaurant to buy in pre packaged food, especially desserts but the cliffs prides itself on the quality and experience it offers theatre goers. Sadly the local authority have put up the parking charges and the restaurant is just not worth the extra 2 hours parking. There's better alternatives to a meal before a show in the area.

Firstly, the show was AMAZING! Cannot fault it. The theatre itself, however..... Cakes are really nice and beverages too, but expensive. Seating is limited. The building itself is undergoing works which is absolutely necessary. The theatre itself is very dated, and the chairs are not very comfortable as a wider person. There's so many stairs and only one lift. It is very hard to access the bathroom and cloakroom as someone with a disability. We were incredibly disappointed the restaurant was closed. It was a full show, and there was nothing to indicate it would be closed. We had travelled early to get a table as me and my friend and I have intolerances so we always pre-choose our meals. There was nothing on the website to indicate it would be closed, no signs either. This meant we had to search around for food. Staff were lovely in offering sandwiches and drinks. This was after not being able to find a disabled parking space. The website says there is parking, but there is about a dozen spaces with blue badge not clearly signposted. We had to go searching again. As visitors, it was difficult and glad we left extra time. The show was amazing, so at least that didn't disappoint, unlike the rest of the experience.

The Cliffs is a great theater we have seen many productions here and enjoyed them all , the latest being the big Panto with Rylan who was magnificent as always . We also tried the pre show dinner which was a pleasant experience, Daisy our waitress was brilliant too. Portions were generous to say the least , but I was disappointed when the wings were subbed for chunks of chicken breast "boneless wings " but they were only just cooked and no sauce only a dipping mayo. It was nice but not the wings I had expected. But overall, staff were very pleasant and attentive , and not having to dash back from one of the local restaurants was a big bonus . Giving 4 out of 5 as there is always room for improvement but definitely going again as its so easy to get to and parking too , so much better than going to London and all the risks that brings these days.Highly recommended.

Worst panto I have seen. Rylan was not a strong enough or loud enough character. Simple Simon was good, but felt sorry for the stand in Jack - out of his depth completely. The script depended heavily on pop music - so disappointing. Feel it was far from enough to justify ticket price (£52) and I had bought 6 for all the family. Such a shame Cliffs Pavillion.

Been here twice now on separate visits to Southend on sea and both times the food has been great. A large enough selection to have a choice but not overwhelming. Each time they have asked for allergies or special requirements. The staff are very kind and accommodating making every request asked of them no trouble. I would highly recommend going here for some very tasty food which will fill you up.
