Amazing food and views and service with Elaine. I visited with my Mum last week from Sheffield. We saw Pretty Woman the musical. We ate main and dessert including chicken curry and key lime pie.

This amazing venue never disappoints. Excellent shows and incredibly well managed. Great facilities and very clean.

Great local theatre. Well organised. Good view from stalls. Seats are a little old and uncomfortable. Am sure the current refurbishment will resolve this issue. Always enjoy time at the Cliffs.

Excellent restaurant with the option to have your dessert in the interval which made us feel like VIPs returning to our table with our desserts waiting. Excellent food which tasted very high quality and a menu with great variety. I always think the people make it though and Alison, our excellent waitress, was so uplifting, positive & warm. She really made our evening, creating a great atmosphere. Thank you Alison 🩷

Went along with the family to see another great show at the cliffs but I also wanted to mention the lovely and professional staff who served us drinks in the bar at the restaurant. Staff of all ages so friendly, helpful, professional and simply making the experience at the local theatre even better! Thank you 🤩

Really enjoyed the show - shame about the people in the row behind who didn't stop talking.

The show was really good! What let the venue down were the actual seats, personally I found them far too low and could really do with a tad more stuffing in them.

Place lovely sitting is bad the sits are so low now need replacing could not see but as on end of row ha to lean to side to see lots complaining about it

For me personally, I love going to the Cliffs Pavilion, some really good shows on, if you want you can just go into any of the bar's.

Show was fantastic the Osmond story really good.yet another good day out with the grand kids seeing a show Madagascar.

I enjoyed being at the cliffs, watching shows, but cannot eat at the restaurant, as they don't do gluten free vegetarian food. I asked at the restaurant..

Watched Officer and a Gentleman here. Great show. Seats are a little uncomfortable after an hour or so

Book your table and keep it for the evening, avoid the crowds , queues for interval drinks have them or your puddings waiting for you at your table. Our thanks to the Chef( fab food) Georgia ( great service and always with a smile) and not forgetting Tyler the manager we go runs a tight happy ship( restaurant,😊) Five ⭐ stars from us.

Went to see Illegal Eagles. Fabulous night. Easy to get to by train. Will definitely go again.

Went to see An Officer and a Gentleman. Great show and good seats. Interval drinks and icecream quite expensive but overall experience was very positive.

Our waitress was Angel and she was so helpful with sorting us out for various bits and bobs. The food was lovely, well priced as part of the theatre package, albeit neither of us drank she found us alternatives to match.

Saw We Will Rock You and absolutely loved it. Seats at the venue are a little tired with age but no problem with comfort or leg room (I'm 6' 2").

It was a great show but the seats could be better.

Excellent show and venue but drinks more expensive than the west end.

They have some excellent shows here, by my lies the price at the bar is more expensive than London. Bring your own drink

Great experience watching Cirque-the greatest show. Can get very packed and busy. Booked cliffs restaurant and the food choice was very limited. However cooked well and excellent service.

£11 for 2 ice creams, what an absolute rip-off!!

I have seen many shows at the cliffs as it is very local to me. It's a nice theatre. My only complaint is they now do an online order of interval drinks brought to your seat. Do not bother with these we ordered vodka and lemonade . It was 2 warm cans of pre mixed drinks in a paper bag and plastic cups and were charged £12 !!!!!! £6.00 a can You can get 3 for £5.00 in most super markets it's disgraceful I will never order drinks again.

A beautiful venue with very professional (and friendly) staff.

Went to see our grandson perform with other school choirs and musicians, it was a great evening with audience participation, a lot of fun was had by all. I've attached a pic of the parking on the seafront as the cutoff time for paying is now 6pm whereas last year it was 7pm so free parking after 6pm

Excellant venue the drinks are pricey but we expected that plenty of parking near by.

Wheeled my Mum into the café and really wished we hadn't bothered. It took 30 minutes for the server to actually take our order! She was flirting with the barrista which, also explains why the coffee was not hot... Ludicrous service courtesy of the hands-off Southend City Council. Oh, and £6 for two lattes is daylight robbery... Don't bother going there!

Went and saw my grandson with his school choir and other primary school choirs singing. Great atmosphere.

The show was fabulous but the beer on tap at the bar tasted pretty terrible.

The advert for dionne Warwick was not clear. Watching her life on a screen, I did not appreciate. I could have seen that on Netflix. Mmmm otherwise it was good to see a legend

Great Venue. We were up in tne nosebleeds as they say, but even so the stage was clearly visible and the view nice and clear. Friendly staff, nice bar, all in all great place. Great show, super funny comedy masterclass. Count Arthur Strong absolutely hilarious.

This art deco styled arts centre sits above the Thames estuary at Southend. Scheduled for a refurb, it's auditorium seats some 1600 souls. Here for a concert, sounds good.

I look at the view from the Cliffs Pavilion as my "Happy Place" As for the venue, although it needs an update it is also synonymous with Southend's live Music & Entertainment Vibes... Good & accessible for all ages & ability. I have visited many times and the staff are always friendly & attentive.

Biggest problem for me is lack of parking, unless you are there very very early, it involves quite a long walk.

Usually enjoy the shows but the Dionne Warwick show last night was boring.In the first half she only sung 2 songs .We left early halfway through 2nd half as many others were also leaving.

This review does not relate to the Cliffs Pavilion itself but is about a show that took place today - Dionne Warwick "Don't Make Me Over". Whilst I'm not a fan, my wife is and is very much into Dionne's songs and music. She was extremely disappointed with this show. Whilst it gave the life story of Dionne and her rise to fame (which apparently can be viewed on YouTube), it would have been much more interesting if there was a lot more singing. But as there's about 10% singing and the rest is chatting on a sofa where Dionne is self-praising and self-indulgent with a guy on the sofa fawning over her it was a complete waste of money and time. We hung on for the 2nd half hoping for more music/songs but it was more chat! Quite a lot of people left before us as, we imagine, they wanted music and songs. We certainly would not recommend this show.

Dionne Warwick was dire.I can't believe that there is a more boring show on the circuit. Two songs in the first hour and a quarter has got to be a record.

The place is showing its 90s built architecture. The outside grounds are unkept. Weeds coming through the paths and tiles missing or damaged. They really should spent a bit of the upkeep as there's a lot of shows and events

Very good. Seats well spaced. Not all scrunched up. Good service in bar area. Toilets well accessible and on same level as our seats ( lower stalls)

Ok, not as good as the West End, but great shows without the hassle of going to London.

Was really looking forward to this performance but were a little bit disappointed at the content. We paid to see Johannes dancing, but what we actually got was 50% of Johannes dancing and 50% of Johannes' different costumes (which were amazing, just wanted more of his great dancing).

Arrived early for the House of Jojo Extravaganza Show, which was incredible, to have a meal in the Pavilion, absolutely stunning food, exceptional value for your £ too!! Superb views of the sea and wonderful staff!! An absolutely marvellous evening was had by all!!

Came here to see a show, which was fantastic. All the staff were fantastic and friendly. Well done everyone at Cliffs.

Been going here for years and again Friday for Elvis show. Money needs to be front on this place it’s so run down. Hardly any seats available when trying to have a drink in lobby area and one person serving …. Really !! The toilets … well firstly there’s just nowhere near enough for the size of venue they know people going to use them during breaks and at the end of a show before travel so do something about it as the money they take must be astronomical do this place up as so tired looking nothing exciting upon entering here

Every time I go I have a great time. The place is really looked after. Good selection of shows. The seats are a bit hard. Great bar and coffee. Good people. As well as seeing shows here my brother also had his graduation here what was a perfect day.

High quality sound, as in really clear without the need to be loud. Brilliant. Park on seafront and walk up the stairs avoids all the nonsense parking on site. Restaurants on site and a bar too if your not driving. Plenty of other restaurants within 15 mins drive to make an evening of it.

We went to see a tribute band who were fantastic Rumors of Fleetwood Mac! Brilliant! We booked a table in the restaurant and had the New 3 course menu. The food and service and value for money was first class!! I highly recommend this Cliffs is a great venue. John and Jackie

Saw Frank Skinner at the Cliffs Pavilion in Westcliff lastnight. My sides are hurting from laughing so much, he was absolutely brilliant. So witty, clever and incredibly quick. Such a lovely man, a legend & wish we saw him on tv more! Great venue too
