We went on a quiet Sunday afternoon out of season because the previous review said they allowed the dog to go inside. I asked if we could take the pup in and sit out of the way in the corner. The lady said no sorry I don’t allow dogs in at all.

Had breakfast here after friends recommended the cafe to us. Big tasty, plentiful breakfast with everything on it if you so desire. I had it and didn't need to eat anything for the rest of the day such is the quality and quantity of the food. Also had one of the best pots of tea whilst I was in Flamborough, if you enjoy cooked breakfast give it a try, gorgeous.

After an early start with no breakfast, I opted to give this little cafe a try. I ordered the standard breakfast with toast and coffee. This includes two pieces of bacon, fried egg, hash brown, tomato and baked beans. The food was piping hot and cooked to perfection. My coffee was acceptable, if not superior but still went down well with my breakfast. The service and staff were friendly and efficient.

We broke our walk around Flamborough head hoping for a bite of lunch. The welcome couldn’t have been more unwelcome. When asked if we could bring dogs in we’re asked, “are they dry?” Then you can sit there it’s our dog tables (the cafe was empty) and “no food just tea and cake”. Cakes were shop bought in plastic packages. Next walk I’m packing my own sandwiches and flask, clearly they don’t need the custom

Be careful if you’re planning to go here for breakfast. Always serves good food when it’s open but likely to be closed way before they advertise which is very frustrating. Especially for people who’ve walked all the way from Thornwick Bay specifically to come here, which is what has happened to us today. 06/07/23. This has happened on more than one occasion to us and has happened to family members too.

I had the All day full English breakfast and it was delicious. The bacon was cooked lovely and not too salty the fried eggs were perfect. Shame that the sausages aren’t meaty butchers style sausages as they are the cheaper catering sausages that 90% of cafes and sandwiches shops use but I thoroughly enjoyed the entire plate full. Open on a Sunday morning too when others don’t. The views are stunning. The lady that took our order was a bit stern looking, a welcoming smile wouldn’t hurt but her service and manners were all good. Lots of locals eating in there and I will definitely be returning

What an excellent cafe. We had a small dog and were welcomed to sit inside as the weather was turning. we ordered Bacon Cobs and apple pie. All were cooked fresh and the taste was amazing, except for apple pie which was home made and delicious. The staff were welcoming and did everything what you would expect. The cost was a shock though. 2 coffees, 2 cans of coke, 3 breakfast cobs and 1 apple pie and cream total was £19.95. This was unbelievable value. My advice if you visit Flamborough Head, visit Cliff Side Cafe. Excellent!

Toasties on menu but no price seen however decided to order and which enjoyed but then shocked to be charged £4 per toastie! What amounted to 4 slices of toasted bread, some cheese and half a tomato and a bit of onion. A sad reflection of the hospitality industry thesedays . Needless to say we shall revert to treating ourselves in making our own toasties at home. We can likely purchase a weeks supply of bread, cheese, tomato and onion for £8. Cafes, pubs and restaurants in U.K. at serious risk of killings themselves through using covid years and energy prices as excuse for greed.

We went as a family today to this cafe with our family dog. There was 7 of us in total, there was 3 adults and 4 children. I actually don't know where to start with this review as it was one complaint after another from us. If I could leave a 0 star rating I would. The attitude of the waitress was disgusting and we left without having anything to eat or drink. So first of all my partner went and asked if we could take our dog in the cafe and with a very abrupt attitude was told 'no'. My partner then asked could we sit outside with the dog and was told 'well if he doesn't bark or bite yes.' My partner said he doesn't do either to which she said 'everyone says that but then their dogs do'. It was clear she just didn't want my very friendly and obedient dog around. We went to get a table outside so we could sit with the dog and order food but there was only one table and we needed two. A couple was very close to finishing so we were waiting until they finished so we could use both tables. Some of us were sat at the one available table whilst the rest of us were stood waiting for the other table to become available. The rude waitress came out and said in a really grumpy tone, 'can I take your order' before we had chance to reply she said ' well actually you can't order you don't have a table' While we were sat waiting we decided to take the dog to the car so we could go inside as it started to rain, the waitress came out again and said 'can I take your order now' to which we replied 'we are coming in to eat now as we have taken the dog to the car so we can come in' to which we were then told 'there isn't room there is only room for 2.' A family in the corner were just leaving so we decided to wait and went in and sat at the table they had just left, she came over to clear the table and my partner asked ' would you like me to help you carry the plates over and clear the table?' to which she snapped "no it's fine you don't have an apron anyway" Basically we were made to feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable and the customer service was horrendous. I don't care how good the food is or how good value it is I will NOT TOLERATE BEEN SPOKEN TOO an to be treated like that as a paying customer. Also one of my son's is type 1 diabetic hence why we needed food at that point. So this left us panicking trying to source alternative food and my son had a hypo as a result of all the delays and inappropriate behaviour from the waitress. We would not recommend this place to anyone and would never go near it again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!. We went to a pub/restaurant down the road called Headlands family restaurant which was the total opposite and amazing in every way and dog friendly, Fantastic customer service and amazing food.

We didn’t even stay here to order food due to the disgusting attitude of the old female waitress who told us we weren’t going in without a mask - despite it not being the law anymore. I explained that we didn’t have one but would wear one if provided - she shrugged her shoulders and walked away from us without another word. The whole interaction was rude and as if she couldn’t care less. I’d like to note that no one inside the cafe was wearing masks nor was the other gentleman server stood up talking to another table. My partner and I were so annoyed with her whole demeanour and attitude that we got up and left as didn’t want to even give the cafe our business. We ate at the Headlands Restaurant and Cafe Bar just a short walk down at the lighthouse and it was fantastic. Highly recommend there over this place any day of the week. It costs nothing to be polite.

Discovered this unassuming cafe on the way to Flamborough lighthouse car park on the last day of our holiday and went in for breakfast which was probably the best breakfast I have eaten for a long time. Ordered the £7 all day breakfast and got 3 thick rashers of bacon, 2 sausage, 2 egg, tomatoes, mushroom, beans, hash brown, fried bread and toast. Looking at the selection on the menu this is a place I will surely visit again when in the area, very much worth coming out of Bridlington town for a great meal. I had an hour to waste in Bridlington so decided to drive out to Flamborough Head for lunch. This tiny cafe produces home cooked meals of epic proportions for ridiculously affordable prices. For example the all day breakfast is 2 fried eggs, 2 sausages, 3 rashers of bacon, tomato, mushroom, baked beans and toast - all for £6. I couldn’t tackle so much after seeing another customer’s order arrive so had sausage, egg and chips for £4.60 instead and it was splendid - absolutely nothing to find fault with. It was the sort of day when the mist descended and the rain fell but we had booked for a guided walk at Flamborough Head organised by East Yorkshire Council (incidentally an affordable gem in itself). We stopped at this café initially for a coffee and toilet break before the walk and were so impressed by the good Yorkshire welcome and the homemade scones on sale that we decided to return after the walk. I had the vegetarian breakfast and my wife had the soup and roll with a pot of tea for two. The litmus tests as far as I am concerned are crisp hash browns and fresh mushrooms and both were passed in exemplary fashion with the fried egg being 'just right'. My wife's soup was piping hot. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. Good parking outside and even if full there is the sizeable car park down the road within easy walking distance. The menu was reasonably extensive and they cater for a number of eating requirements.

Myself and a group of friends visited this cafe today for some food and shelter from the rain. We were initially impressed by the menu and the cafe was everything you would expect for a small country village. Our expectations were soon crushed, as it soon become apparent the waitress had quite an attitude problem. We felt rushed and unwelcome when ordering our food. This still wouldn't have spoilt our experience completely, but the motivation behind this review is how she dealt with a slight misunderstanding. My daughters order wasn't brought out and we very politely asked if it had been prepared. We were answered with only no you didn't order it, no, no. By now we all just wanted to leave. The food was good and the prices were reasonable but the service was terrible and wouldn't recommend for that reason.

We ordered and she was grimacing still, when my friend asked how long his steak pie would take to cook. I ordered my families food. The old adage is that "the customer is always right".She argued that we didn't order our daughters sandwich, when all our group heard. She stubbornly again said we didn't with a certain disdain. We were so saddened that when we left there was another cafe further along. We all said "If only. This spoilt what was a good day with my friends. It left a bad taste. It was a lovely Sunday morning. We walked from Flamborough to the Lighthouse with 3 dogs. We found a table outside . Dog water available. Lovely full and vegetarian breakfast. Friendly staff. Set us up for the walk back home.

We visited this cafe for the first time having read the reviews and I'm pleased we did. Good honest cafe food, well cooked at a fair price with lovely service. If we are in the area I will certainly visit again.

What a treat to have proper chips, most places serve frozen ones which usually taste of cardboard. We had a lovely lunch at this lovely cafe & Alison the owner made us very welcome even though we hadn't been there for a few months. Even though it was a saturday in January the cafe was very busy.

We visited this great cafe again this weekend and as usual we had a great experience. Our meals were delicious as always and the service could not be faulted. As for the views, they never cease to amaze me.

We ended up at this very scenic spot at lunch time in early July and broke our diets to have the fish and chips with peas. Everything was fresh tasting and the chips were "real" with a lovely solid resistance to the teeth. We didn't go so far off our diet to eat the white bread with butter but it definitely made for an ample meal. The cliff side wall is basically all window, looking out on a patio, the old lighthouse, which is across the road, the new lighthouse and the gorgeous chalk cliffs and changeable sea. The service was reserved but attentive. The menu seemed large for such a small place and there was an ice chest full of ice cream treats if you just want a snack.

We get to Flamborough every now and then, and this time ended up there on a particularly'fresh' day with the dog. We asked if it was ok to pop in for a cuppa with the dog, and were immediately told that this was no problem, and we were made to feel very welcome. The owners are really friendly, there are a lot of nice naughty cakes and stuff, and the cooked food and coffees and teas etc are really reasonably priced. Bearing in mind it's the beginning of February, having the place open and warm for a break from the wind was a blessing too, as the cafe just along from this, near to the lighthouse car park was still shut for the close season. You can park for free right outside, the views are fantastic and the service great. Can't ask for better.

We had visited the main cafe/restaurant at the Flamborough Head car park the day before just for a quick cuppa, so decided to try the Cliff End cafe the next day. There is parking outside the cafe for a few vehicles but we left ours down on the main carpark as the walk up to the cafe is quite short.. The views from the cafe over the sea are very good and there was one table outside, though with the weather quite cold, there may be more on good days. The food we ordered was very good and excellent value- we opted for sausages in a giant yorkshire pudding and cheesy chips, followed by steamed pudding and custard. A nice surprise to find this cafe and some really filling and enjoyable food. Obviously the cafe is very basic, but you can't beat good service, piping hot food and a nice atmosphere especially on a cold windy day on the coast.

I arrived here by chance with my family having been led on a wild goose chase by Google Maps. With the kids and wife getting frantic we were obliged to stop here and have lunch. Looks like an ordinary caff from the outside. Inside it's all very nice. We all had fish and chips and, good God, I could go for it now if it weren't 230 miles from home. Great fish with home made batter and chips and mushy peas. Only £5.95 a go and it was ready in under 15 minutes! Not sure what the rest of the menu is like but this is a good sign in my book. There's some serious frying going on here so maybe bag a seat outdoors if you can't stand the heat.

Cliff End Cafe is a small, cosy cafe, but it is neat, clean and tidy. It's the smaller of the two cafes at Flamborough Head and much the better option. They do the usual teas, coffees, some very delicious-looking cakes, sandwiches, hot meals and an all-day breakfast. We had the all day breakfast, which was excellent, the bacon was especially good. It was served promptly and was excellent value. They are open from 9am for breakfast. All in all a good experience, which would be improved if the lady who served us could manage a smile and a cheery good morning.

Amazing food with an equally amazing view. £50 for a family of 4 including drinks, definitely value for money. Will definitely go back.

We had lunch at The Potting Shed with family. This was a return visit, and we think it’s the best garden centre restaurant in the area. Soup was carrot and coriander (delicious, could’ve eaten more!), sandwiches were very fresh, and the haddock and chips were delicious. Restaurant is very clean and well laid out, tables not too close together. I’m sure we’ll be back!

This cafe is now called Miss Bs pantry. Very friendly ladies and delicious food. As a coeliac myself I have to have gluten free. This is very well catered for here so my partner and I have visited on numerous occasions.Various selection of savoury dishes and cakes. Lovely latte too. Well worth a visit.

On behalf of a relative who visited yesterday. Small fish, really greasy. Trading under Thompson’s name but nowhere near the quality. Cash only which is an inconvenience. Won’t be returning.
