I’m a big fan of crab & ive not seen a Louisiana style restaurant in London. The reviews here looked good so I thought I’d give it a go. I wished I hadn’t, they had no crab claws, no snow crab. We were advised to order the Louisiana hot pot for two because it’d come with eight crab legs, in fact it had three, they made up for in with extra mussels & clams, it was £57. I complained after & to be fair they changed it to hot pot for one £31. The king shrimp starter was very nice but expensive at £15 The menu promises a lot but doesn’t deliver I don’t think I’ve been so disappointed in a restaurant in a long time

The food here is fantastic and pretty good value for the City. Oysters were first class and the Alabama Hotpot that me and my friend both chose (too greedy to share!) was sublime. Well done, guys!

Lovely Food, messy, but in a good way, will definitely go back at some point to try the full menu, although the Hot Pot on the Lunch Menu was what I was after so not disappointed

What a fabulous find, our experience was amazing. Our waiter, Alex, was very attentive and we felt very looked after. In fact, all the staff were lovely. My daughter and I are huge seafood lovers and it wasn’t a disappointment. The lovely cocktails were a bonus too. We would both recommend 😊

On the upside our waiter was really good, personable, helpful and engaged. Otherwise, this was really disappointing. I booked on the strength of recent review by Jay Rayner, a generally excellent critic. He must have got them on a really good day. Mussels and something else (clams maybe?) were finished so half the menu was compromised. No oysters either. Good baked cauliflower starter and OK prawns. The main course fish boil was OK but I've had way better in casual places in the US for a quarter of the money. The ingredient cost in a boil is low, so it needs to be much higher quality than we saw. No full crab claws, needed better sausage, generic stocky sauce with no depth of flavour ... The place is loud, which is generally OK, but we had a bit of fuss getting quieter counter seats. £125 for indifferent food and an OK bottle of Reisling. Meh ... Won't be back. 5/10.

Top notch!!! For real a surprise for us. We dropped in without a reservation. Got the best seat next to the bar so we could see all the action. Amazing food, amazing service! The staff went out of their way to make everything a ”10” If you have the chance, DO give it a go! We will be back! The Swedes ;)

Delicious food, friendly and good service. Really try the Alabama hot pot and cornbread with jalapeños and finish with the bread pudding. It's a great place!

Was really looking forward to this but the experience was a bit of a disaster in every respect. We went on a Sat night at beginning of April. Menu looked great. Things started to unravel when we arrived. We opted for the sharing platter which we were told was not available. When we asked why it was because they had ‘kitchen issues’. We then ordered a beer and a Bloody Mary only for them to come back a few minutes later to say they couldn’t do a Bloody Mary (really?). Two pint of beer please then. We then had to ask again for the beer after a wait to be told ‘theirs a hold up with the beer’. By this point I was thinking of leaving. Still we order a sharing hotpot. It arrived pretty quickly and we got stuck in. Our biggest issue over the service was the value for money. The hotpot was basically a few cut up potatoes some corn on the cob, a sausage cut up and 6 prawns with some mussels in a broth. At £36 we couldn’t help but feel it was vastly over priced. Taste wise it was okay but not worth that. To be fair I think they were having an incredibly bad and difficult night. Tables around us were waiting ages for food as well. We spoke to the manager who was very pleasant and listened to our concerns and offered us free cocktails which was a nice touch. Hopefully the service improves though I couldn’t justify a return visit at the prices and value.

Booked this restaurant for an anniversary meal as the other reviews had given it an excellent rating. Unfortunately our experience did not live up to this expectation. Whilst the quality of the food was good, on being served both meals were luke warm and had to be sent back. The servers did seem to be a bit non pulsed by this request however the meals were replaced. There appeared to be no oversight of the food going out and this could possibly be because the servers were spending too much time talking to the other guests.

Superb food, nothing like I’ve tasted before in the UK - something completely different. Excellent bloody Mary’s, delicious oysters to start and then a proper taste of the Deep South with the Louisiana hotpot. The boss had some small plates, all delicious - especially the grits. Excellent setting, lovely environment, fantastic staff.

Went on a Saturday evening and made most welcome by all the staff despite not having booked. Our meal was lov, I really enjoyed 3 very large oysters for starters. My wife had crayfish mac and cheese to start and also enjoyed. For main we had a sharing platter which comprised crab claws, crayfish, spicy sausage and red skin potatoes in their skin along with corn on the cob. In a delightful sauce with bread supplied to soak up the juice. Drink prices reasonable and bibs provided to eat your meal. Well worth visiting

The staff at claw and hammer truly amazing. Thank you to Sonny And especially Jason who helped accommodate my fractured foot and my dietary adjustments with the mains. Best grilled oysters I have had and the cocktails do not skimp on the alcohol. Definitely worth going to for an intimate birthday dinner or anniversary.

Perfect spot for seafood lovers. This restaurant definitely exceeded our expectations. Seafood was amazing and seasoned so well. The customer service and atmosphere were great. Could benefit from the music being a little quieter and our table didn’t have great lighting, otherwise an amazing experience...

The location is good. The atmosphere and decor is good. There was live music and they were great. That is the good. The bad is the service was abysmal. We wound up having to go to the bar to get our drinks because no one was coming to the table and it wasn’t terribly busy. Our food was hit or miss. The chicken app was good. I had the feathered beef and it was nice. But my partner had the classic burger and it was mediocre. He also waited a while to get any condiments for it. They weren’t brought out with his meal. We did get a deal on Open Table for 50% off which was great- because we paid full price for the experience I would have been even less thrilled. I wouldn’t go back to eat but maybe for a drink to listen to a band.

The food and drinks are excellent. Tom went above and beyond to provide the most exquisite meals I've had the pleasure to enjoy in London. We will come back any time we are in UK. The red velvet cake is out of this world, I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food and service.

Awesome menu, super delicious food, great wine list. Outstanding service - Sotiris could not have been more welcoming and helpful, even brought steak cuts to the table for my partner to choose from and helped us select wines. Sabina was also fantastic. Great vibes for a brilliant night. Made my partner’s birthday.
