Classic Fish Chips in Broxbourne

Had a lovely family lunch at the classic fish restaurant. The fish was absolute devine along with fresh generous portion of chips. Will certainly be a regular here as I rate this place faultless. The customer service was also top notch and have to mention the tartar sauce. Everything was just finger licking and will definitely recommend to pals and relatives.

Had some excellent fish and chips in the Classic Fish & Chip Restaurant in Waltham Cross. The staff were very friendly and polite, I could not fault the service, and the fish and chips we had was lovely. Its not a particularly big place but was busy in both the restaurant and take away sections. Its in the pedestrianised section near the Eleanor cross.

I've been here many times but always to take away..... I came here once and we were thinking about eating in but we looked at the menu and the prices were nearly double the price if you wanted to sit in....if you take away it was half the price. The prices for eating in were way overpriced and a complete rip off. There's a lovely fish & chips restaurant in cheshunt which is beautiful and very upper class and their posh restaurant are the same prices for this chippy eating in.... you can't rip people off like that. No wonder why so many people don't eat in and they decide to eat out when your prices are doubled. Apart from the eating in prices.... the food is really good and always tastes fresh!

I've eaten here a couple of times and wasn't impressed. The food is quite expensive for what you are actually getting. I didn't really find the food anything to write home about/1 Not impressed. Sorry.

Went in there to get chips and chicken. Asked if the chicken was halal and understandingly the Polish cashier was unaware and asks the so called chef who is utterly rude and asks me if fish is halal. He then says he is not Trukish or Kurdish an isn't a Muslim.. I don't understand why a conversation suddenly turned sour. If he is in denial about where he is from and by the sounds of it isn't an Erdogan fan don't blame me. This is England.. manners above all. Wouldn't recommend as they are just rude and another one came just to watch with his arms folded. Looking at the picture the chips is undercooked he should of kept his eye on that instead of picking on a girl Never again!!

Customer service was appalling - made a mistake with my mums order who's been ordering the same thing for the past year - new staff got the order wrong and blames my mum for getting the order wrong? - then decides to raise his voice at my mum in front of other customers leaving her humiliated. I would have given this review 0 stars if I could, been ordering here loads but today's customer service was beyond me. Rude staff, and received no apology. If the order is wrong, you have to correct it, not shout at the customer.

Traveled from epping to the cross to try this fish shop.i ordered a large plaice and chips,the wife had cod and chips,they are cooked fresh as you order ,so we had 2 cups of coffee while we waited for the food.coffee was great and in nice thin cups ( i hate the thick cups you get from some coffee shops).when the food arrived it was without a dought the best peice of plaice i have ever tasted the batter was light and flaky and you could still taste the sea as it was cooked to perfection.so if like me plaice is your favorite fish you will never taste better. Highly recomend this fish shop.

I just been in and bought 2 x Large Cod and Large chips. I waited 25 min. For fish to be cooked when I got it home the fish was dripping in oil and the chips were cold and a lot of thin bits. They used to be the best chip shop around now they the worst. I won’t go there again. Friday 29th December 2017

Being a northener, I fancied some chips. Popped into this gem and the chips were fantastic! Similiar to what you would get in the midlands :)!

we go all the way from woodford green just to have fish and chips its the best we have ever tasted sometimes it takes awhile due to traffic and the car park is really large so you have no trouble parking and after all that when you have eaten there is a market on fri and sat nearbye which is worth a visit

Absolutely Devine chips and fish, the batter was light and fluffy not to heavy on the stomach. Fish was succulent and tender but cooked to perfection. The salt was very salty so not much was needed, the vinegar was very vinegary... blissful experience would recommend.

Popped in here on Saturday jus for a medium bag of chips.. £2 and boy you do get a lot! Yummy as they had Judy come out the fryer... Loved them recommend:)

While I was on my lunch at work, I entered the shop to purchase something to eat. Due to my religion (Islam), I am only able to eat meat which is Halal. I asked the guy at the counter if the meat was Halal, he left me absolutely shocked with his reply: "This is not Mecca and, if you want Halal food then go back to your own country or Mecca & you will find it there". This was his reply, this was the first time i had ever met this man and i couldn't believe what I had just heard. I told him that what he said was very offensive and racist and walked out the shop. I will never ever return to this shop or ever recommended anyone to go either. Racist Staff and Poor Customer Service
