Cj's Cafe Bistro in Blackpool

Called in here twice during our stay in Blackpool. The food and drinks were spot on especially for the price. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating. It was spotlessly clean and very busy.

Called in for coffee and a snack before journey home. Sandwich of ham and cheese very tasty but the chocolate eclair was the nicest and certainly the largest I've ever seen. You must try these cakes I personally couldn't believe how nice they were will definitely go again.

The staff here are very friendly and hardworking. The food we had there was freshly cooked from scratch and was of a high standard and reasonably priced. The cafe itself was spotlessly clean and just looking around you can see that they are very popular as it was busy all day! My Fiance and I have definitely found our go to place when we come back to Blackpool.

Called in for food 23 August 19 to have a bite and got meat pie Dinner all went well until my partner used the Salt and the top came off and Salt every were Told the Lady serving Didn't get her name but she couldnt be more helpfull Couldn't apologise enough She said the kids had been doing it we was the 4th to bring it to there attention replaced the meal without delay Great food staff very polite.

We came here last year and the food was great. This year we returned and they now serve waffles, roasts and pizza in addition to their cafe menu which already has a great selection of food, of which the prices are good and portions are generous. The staff are welcoming and well mannered, and there's Happy Dayz arcade attached at the front for some family fun whilst you wait for your food. Will definitely be returning soon. My favourite has to be their freshly made pizzas!

We visit cj's on a regular basis the owner Jacqie always makes you feel so welcome and all the staff are very friendly and helpful, the cafe has recently been extended and now serves a variety of food including pizzas, hot meat sandwiches and a milkshake bar, my son particularly likes the breakfast Well worth a visit,also a variety of machines to keep everyone happy plenty of 2p pushers for kids

staff couldn't do enough for you, the food was better than the hotel i was staying at,good range of pizzas and the staff are helpful

After trawling round Blackpool in the pouring down rain and everywhere being so busy found some empty seats here, ordered food two cheeseburgers with onions, childs sausage and chips and a milkshake, got a drink included with the childs meal which I choose this was out of date so had to choose something else as all the others were out of date, ten mins later the cheese burgers arrived with no onions a few mins later we were sat there thinking onions were going turn up separately as we had seen someone else with them on a separate plate and probably with the childs meal we had ordered, one of the young men that work there came over to see if everything was ok, I asked where the onions were so he took our burgers back and brought the childs meal I started to cut the sausage up for my little boy as he can't do it himself to see they were raw , after the young man sticking his meat probe in them he said they wasn't cooked and took the meal back, so we had an out of date drink, burgers with no onions and raw sausage, and a milkshake that came in a glass pint bottle, we didn't even get offered a glass to put it in,would I eat here again not a chance, we eventually got things sorted, and on a good note there was a lovely young man with a good sense of humour that tried his best to get us sorted, we also had a pizza which was ok.

A little hidden gem we came across while holidaying in Blackpool. Fish n chips, pizza section and also a Sunday roast section. All freshly made to order. I had roast beef dinner in a giant yorkie, everyone else had pizza. Was delicious! If you don't mind waiting a few extra minutes you'll not be disappointed. Lovely staff too.

Found this cafe by wandering into an arcade and what a nice find. Very friendly staff, good choice and our boy said it was one of the nicest chocolate pancakes he'd had. Totally enjoyed my doorstep sandwich.

We noticed a board outside for slushys at 50p...popped in to get one..very quick service and foos looked lovely too will deffo eat there in future :)

We came here a couple of times whilst in holiday and would definitely come back. We ordered six different meals and each one needed tweaking a bit from the menu and the staff were extremely helpful and didnt mind at all. The food was extremely reasonable and very nice. Cannot fault the place at all and would definitely go back

Cjs cafe bistro is a fantastic place the staff are really nice and friendly especially the owner Jackie she is great person and her cafe is really good with the food good prices qnd everything the drinks are good as well they have slushes as well sarting at 50p and goes up for what ever size you want make sure you go to cjs cafe bistro its in the amusment happy dayz very good me and my mum love it we go everytime we are at Blackpool

Took a client who loves penny arcade sat down to have something to eat the food was remarkable good size portions. The staff very friendly and very helpful will definitely go back again with other clients and family.

Good portion sizes and cheap, the 2 guys that work there are hard working and always try to please. There are lots of places to eat in Blackpool but I would choose here as I know what I'm getting and the service is spot on.

these 2 meals are outstanding .been in twice in a week first time they had no mushrooms or gammon they ran out said put extra bacon on then they did with pleasure went back on sunday lad said we got muchrooms said put them on my mixed grill they did without any fuss thank you very much for that be takin freinds and family soon again

Acabamos de regresar de una escapada entre semana y comimos en varias ocasiones cj's. Las comidas son maravillosas, los tamaños de porción satisfará los gustos y más grande de el personal no podría haber sido más servicial. Nada es demasiado problema y están dispuestos a atender alrededor de sus necesidades. Es un lugar que mi padre quien falleció el mes pasado me encantó visitar cuando en Blackpool y ahora después de visitar yo comprendo por qué. Sin duda volveremos.

Y otros tres que me estaban en un viaje a Blackpool durante el día y después de un largo y divertido día que queríamos comer algo que parecía muy bonito en la primera entrada.

I have used this Cafe/Bistro 4 times this week.The food I have had has ranged from filled freshly made Baguette, Fish and Chips, and even a Lamb Dinner. The food has been nothing but wonderful, the salad on the baguette was lovely and crisp and served in no time at all. All the cooked meals this week were great fresh tasty and cooked to perfection. I must say that the food also looked as good as it tasted.The service from the staff was always with a pleasant smile and advise regarding the foods was very helpful. The venue is light fresh and kept impeccably clean, if something drops on the floor from a child's meal the staff are quick to clean up.Finally I saw the delicious looking gateaux's and cheesecake this week I had a hard struggle in resisting to try them (due to my being a little over weight) but i doubt on my next visit I will be able to !!I highly recommend this Cafe Bistro to everyone, be they be the single person or a family, the prices are reasonable go on give it a try, you will be impressed!

We were just looking for coffee and a snack and we're glad we picked CJ's. Really nice food, fresh and hot, excellent coffee, reasonable prices, and very friendly staff. There are many, many places to eat in Blackpool, but try this one.

After spending sometime in the arcade we decided to have a late evening snack and drink before leaving for home. We decided on toasted sandwiches and cappuccinos .Our order was taken very efficiently with a nice friendly attitude at a reasonable cost.Our food and drinks were served very quickly, beautifully presented and very tasty. No complaints whatsoever. I would recommend this café . We will return the next time we are in Blackpool.

Went to Blackpool for a few days with the family and after doing madam Tussaud's we thought we would go into cj's cafe in the happy dayz arcade for a bite to eat, after going to the till to place the order we sat for about 25 minutes and nothing came so I went to the till to ask what was happening and I was told it would not be much longer, but in the meantime while we were waiting myself and my wife noticed that nearly every table that ordered were getting the wrong orders and being returned just to see them wait even longer to get the right order and that was including myself when we finally got our meal I had to send mine back as I asked for a plain cheese toastie with no onions as I have an allergic reaction to onions and it was full of them and when a new one arrived it turned into cheese on toast from a toastie. Never be back as staff and chef have no clue and speed on how to run a business....absolutely joke.

the food is amazing I have tried most things on the menu and loved everything you get a warm welcome when you visit from the owners and the kids can run round and spend there pennies in the great arcade

just had some lunch with my partner, the people working there had no idea what they were doing! I was sent from pillar to post just to pay for my 'roast beef' baguette and chips, which may I add, wasn't roast beef, it was plastic beef from a packet, that I paid £3 for! the jacket potato I ordered for my partner came with tuna mayo? apparently, although it looked more like they'd just chucked half a tin of tuna on top of the spud, mixed with.. nothing. I wouldn't reccommend this cafe one bit. very disappointed, although.. I may add, one of the ladies was very apologetic, the other couldn't give a toss!

The food wasn't upto par. Me and my partner had a tuna & Mayo jacket potato and a roast beef baguette. The beef tasted of plastic and the topping on my jacket sempt like it was just dumped out of a tin onto the top of the spud and definitely contained no mayo. The service was even worse, we were pushed from pillar to post with where we had to pay. My partner was sent to both the cash registers multiple times to pay and neither of the people behind the till sempt to know which one was taking the money. Truly disgusted with the experience and would recommend people to avoid the place deceptively placed in the amusement 'happy dayz'.

I tried a toasted bagguette from the new deli counter better than any subway ive ever tasted very tasty and not tight when filling the bagguettes and very reasonably priced definately eat here again

This is a wonderful Cafe/Bistro. The are wonderful and are happy to fulfil every need. It is spacious and clean, and is so welcoming.The food at a fair price great quality. From a light snack to a full meal. All freshly cooked good portions. With the New addition of the fresh baton/sandwich bar the choice fantastic.With the family meal offer, it makes sense eat while you are out having fun together.A great menu with even greater prices help enjoy your time in Blackpool.Thank you the staff for a lovely , I will be back again. First time I visited I had the mahi mahi salad, but the fish was only just warm. My partner had the battered shrimp which were fine. The second visit it was very busy and we waited quite a while before anyone brought us a menu. I asked for water which never arrived, and there was quite a wait between eventually ordering and having our meal brought to us. It was so busy in fact that CJ himself served us and he seemed a very personable guy. I had the fish and shrimp entree which was ok, and my partner had scallops which were also ok. Not outstanding for the price, but it's a good place to people watch.

I ordered mint lamb chop, it was epic and am not exaggerating!the meat was so tender although its a chop, the mashed potato has no hard parts and tastes great, the steamed vegetables are not over did and tender, the baked potatoes are crispy from the outside and mushy from the inside. my friend got a chicken breast burger which was great as well and made from scratch just like the lamb chop. To be honest it was 5 stars restaurant cooking there, I would say if you visit Blackpool and not go to this cafe you are missing out!Friendly and lovely staff as well, it just gets better.

Visited at the weekend, the prices were reasonable, good value for money, the fish was fresh and tasty, served up nicely, all in all a nice place to eat, will come back next time we visit the Pool of Black :-)

We visited cj's three times in our week holiday in august last year it was clean and bright, friendly staff chatting away with my 5yr old niece while we waited for food (didn't take long and was really nice) to top it of it was cheap and ideal location from the promenade (inside happy dayz arcade). We are coming back to Blackpool in July and will be back to visit DJ's again.

Come here a lot when we are on holiday for family meals. The cafe is great value for money, lovely food and lovely staff. Would definitely recommend. Always pop in for a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate everytime I'm in Blackpool

This cafe is great value for money and the staff were really friendly. We visited on a lunch time with my chihuahua and they were great with her, totally accommodated us. It is hard to find a cafe that allows dogs! We had our meal which was freshly cooked and very cheap, it was so good we returned later in the evening and i had the lamb shank in mint and rosemary, it was late evening and they still cooked the meal, a lot of places refuse to cook full meals later in the day but not these, anything we wanted on the menu was still available, and even though i love all the quick lazy food like chips and hot dogs, it was really nice to sit down and have a "proper" cooked meal. The meal was delicious and the lamb just fell of the bone. If you are visiting Blackpool i would defiantly recommend you visit this cafe. Great meals, great prices, excellent staff and good location A+

the meals we had were all very nice and cheap too. the staff were very friendly. very clean and tidy.

I came here today with my family. They said they were the best chips they've had. It didn't break the bank either like some places around Blackpool.My daughters enjoyed the slushes, and played on the machines while we waited for the food which didn't take long. Definitely coming back as they loved it and it means we can spend more on ice cream

Superb café tucked away at the back of happy days amusements just down from the waxworks Staff are all very friendly and the meals are lovely and great value , give it a try , don't go anywhere else this is a real gem

Love this place. Didn't disappoint again. Two whopper breakfasts and two kids meals, four drinks all for under £14. Such value for money. So tasty! Such lovely staff also. See you next time :)

after reading all positive reviews. I took grandsons here for a birthday treat .didn't eat food had 3 ice creams and a coffee £8 what a rippoff. all the so called friendly staff must have been away. what a miserable lot.will not visit again

We stumbled on this small cafe at the back of the amusements,we didn't,t know what to expect it has about 10/12tables very basic,we went in about 5-30pm..so had a table no bother we went to counter and ordered the meal counter staff were lovely very polite and took our order I ordered a ham salad which was beautifully presented really nice,my daughter also enjoyed her meal as so did the boys,very nice cheerful staff basic but clean...

We come to CJ's quite a lot as its close to work, we always get a friendly welcome and the food is great. All the food is always cooked fresh too. The price is reasonable and the staff are great. Would recommend to anyone coming to Blackpool to call in definitely 5 stars.

Wouldnt reccoment going for a full english breakfast anywhere else in Blackpool but CJs. Great value for money, large portions and quick serving time. Staff always friendly and welcoming. Just what you need to start of your day

The staff are very slow indeed!! The food isn't too bad, but the service could be a LOT better! The cafè is very small, but I suppose it's the situation of the arcade! I wouldn't recommend this cafe to anyone and I will not be visiting again!

We visit cjs every weekend for dinner and tea,the food is lovely always well presented.The owner jacqui always takes the time to speak to people making everyone feel very welcome and the rest of the staff are the same.The food is top quality brand names not cheap makes like some other cafes we have visited, well worth a visit you wont be disappointed.

Found this cafe in Happy Dayz.The menu as a variety of food and is cheep. The cafe is clean and the staff are friendly. They also remembered us from a couple of hours ago when we came in for a cuppa.

I will start with Wow didn't expect the food that we got now I ordered a breakfast as you cant go wrong with this meal but my partner ordered fish and chips and we got 2 kids meals im now kicking myself after trying my partners fish and chips as it was 1 of the tastiest fish ive tried in a long time we will definitely return once the sun shows its face clean plates all round and finished off with £1 mr whippy brilliant

Nice small cafe/bistro only downside was toilets were upstaire and had Lots of stairs to climb to get to toilets. Not good if you have difficulty climbing stairs

my family regularly dine at cj's cafe bistro , being locals to the area . The staff are always friendly and polite to every customer when I have been present , and the food is never disappointing . The range of food on offer rivals many of the mainstream cafe's around Blackpool , some it exceeds , especially on quality and price . The proprietors use only the best name brand products , which are freshly cooked to the clients individual order . First rate food at a reasonable price

So on a cold wet November evening we were desperate to find somewhere warm and welcoming for some decent food. We saw a sign for CJ's which said 5* hygiene rating and after a quick look on TA we thought it sounded promising. Wow, not what we expected. This "bistro" is actually a cafe inside a noisy amusement arcade. Why didn't we leave? We were starving and cold and didn't want to judge on first impressions. Ordered 4 meals and drinks (2 kids) which came to a total of £12. Good value you might think? Cheap price usually = poor food. And this is what we got. Microwave Chicago town pizza, microwave meat pie, dry jacket potato, sausage that I'm pretty sure had never seen a pig in its life, congealed gravy. I'm sure you get the picture. Now we aren't snobs by any stretch of the imagination, but other people standards must be low to deem this food "excellent". Very confused.

Good start with staff cleaning 2 tables for our large family and organising chairs etc.The food arrived hot and perfectly cooked. All members of staff very polite and helpful. Am pleased to recommend to anybody and will visit again.

Excellent cafe in arcade in Blackpool, Large fish & chips £2.95 Really enjoyed by all, cup of tea or a slush 50p large ice cream in a cone a £1 went with large group 18 in all and had really good service Sat 8th November!

Found this little place when out walking it is spotless staff couldnt do enough for you lovely coffee and the food was lovely too I had fish chips and mushy peas it was delicious the fish was freshly cooked not the frozen kind you get in some places and the prices were great to I would recomend anybody going to blackpool its good for familys with kids because it doesnt hurt the purse strings

I visited this cafe several times and I must say was never disappointed had fish & chips the last visit and it was gorgeous the cafe is spotless I remember commenting to my friend that the guy who had served us had washed the tables again and was doing them again for a 3rd time spotless wee place great food and great prices I will be back

me and my partner tried this place after looking on trip advisor 98% of reviews were positive so we had a lovely meal followed by a proper coffee? the fish was the best we have had in blackpool we could not believe how cheap it was, staff were realy freindly the place was spotless, so 2% percent of the bad reviews we read have got to be very dogdy? we will defo return to this little gem,

i visit cjs few times now and it never fails to impress me.the fish and chips are excellent value and so nice.the place makes you feel welcome its warm friendly staff cant do enough for you.I have frequented a few places in blackpool and i have to say that cjs is one of the best.This time we had the platter which fed all four of us my husband and me and two kids for a tenner fresh chicken potatos veg etc.will definatley be back.

Wow wow wow, Ive just had the best chicken fillet burger and chips I've ever had.The Breakfasts were just as amazing I was told by the people who we ate with.Very helpful and friendly staff and great value for money too !Setting a benchmark for the other cafes / bistros in Blackpool. Thumbs up from me.

We recently ate in cjs café which is located in the back of the Happy Days arcade, the food is such good value and so tasty, all main meals are between £3 and £3.50 which includes scampi and chips, half roast chicken and chips etc. They also do children's meals and they are free with every adults meal bought, they also do some really nice desserts but just be prepared its only small and does get really busy

Visited cj's cafe bistro today, had the whole chicken carvery deal, meal was beautiful , herbed chicken n mash potato to die for, with carrots , broccoli and cauliflower , gravy was lovely, service was good and great atmosphere, can't fault anything. Will definetly be visiting this place when we return to blackpool next year.

Just to say the breakfast in happy days are really nice good amounts and good quality food, we eat there a lot and are always pleased with the food we are served,always clean and the staff are as always very friendly and polite,plus good amusements swell,we will certainly be going back.

Good hangover breakfast. Not as spectacular as we were made to think by all the previous reviews. Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Just a shame the quality of the ingredients they had to work with was not that great.

Me and my boyfriend were on our way back to our hotel when we went into happy dayz amusements. We decided we were ready for tea whilst there and chose to go to CJ's cafe. The staff were brilliant and funny and also very welcoming. The place was clean and the food was beautiful! Cheap prices and well worth it! Best place to eat in Blackpool and would definitely recommend! Will definitely be going there again when we visit Blackpool. Thanks to the guys who served us.

Visited with my daughter. Had seen reviews on here & decided to give it a try. Lovely food, hot, fresh & cooked to order. Fantastic value for money. Was quite late in the evening but the staff were very friendly & chatty. Great service & a perfect mug of tea (i'm very fussy with my tea!!!) Thanks & we will definately be back :)

We only had ice cream but it was just £1 for a Mr Whippy type ice cream, which you can't beat in Blackpool.

I visited here with my son on the Illuminations switch on night (29/08/14), was little busy so had to wait for food (but not too long). Apologies came along with the food, it was great, and will be coming again when next visit Blackpool.

This is a little gem.. I don't normally eat in back street cafes but we were starving and looked through window to see clean tables and a spotless kitchen. So in we went what a find family cooked tea fresh chicken roast fish cooked to order an all day breakfast that was lovely and kids meal ... With a ice cream dessert and nice cappuccinos all for just 20 pounds!!! Staff really nice and friendly.. Don't be a snob try this little beaut for a great tea after a great day out by the sea side

We visited cjs while visiting family close by on holiday. The customer service was brilliant, the staff couldn't do enough for u, was talkative and very welcoming. Generally interested to hear we was visiting from cornwall and how our trip was going etc. we ordered two large fish and chips, 3 small fish and chips and two children's meals.. And the total price left us speechless! It would of cost us over double the amount to have the same in cornwall. The food was fantastic, extremely good value for money and very yummy! Couldn't recommend this place highly enough, definatly will be going again :)

cannot recommend highly enough, i never write reviews mostly cos im a lazy cow but had to write this as not only is the place ridiculously cheap but the food is fresh well cooked, and the service is second to none, jackie and the lads working there were all fab, and nothing was to much hassle, even when the kids mithered, would defo recommmend, and, as well as making amazing brews the prices are unbelievable for such great food 10/10

Made to feel really welcome. Jacky the owner talked to us as if she had know us for years nothing was to much trouble for her or her staff. The food was well cooked and of good quality and very cheap 2 adults 5 kids all had a decent meal with drinks and ice cream for under £25 brilliant meal deals on here and they also make the best latte in blackpool.

Have to say value for money good food and good hospitality by the staff who go out of there way to be helpful.i would recommend this bistro to anyone visiting blackpool looking for a good meal without breaking the bank.

This little gem is hidden but what an explosive find! Amazing delivery of food by enthusiastic staff. Definitely returning to this little diamond. Thanks for the laughs too. Nothing to much trouble for everyone concerned.

went today at tea time and I must say 2.99 for small and 3.99 for large fish and chips, unbeatable. The fish wasn't smothered in batter either, just lightly dipped, great.

We happened on this cafe. Its along the front near everything. The cheap prices caught our eye. Decent friendly service and not bad portions. Will return.

Ordinarily, I try to avoid eating in arcade cafes as the food and service is generally poor and the prices are ridiculous for the quality of the food. However, CJ's was a little gem! It was proper food with an amazingly big menu serving everything from a sandwich to a roast! As you order, all of the food is freshly prepared so nothing is sitting around getting cold or soggy which is always a benefit. Because it was so good, we came here a few times -twice the server was very friendly and helpful but one seemed a little bit indifferent but maybe she was just having a bad day?There is very limited seating but you can get to it in a wheelchair. The prices were good compared to the quality of the food, it's very central (the arcade next to Tussauds) so is an ideal stopping point if you're on the prom for the day.

Fantastic little place. We were looking for somewhere for breakfast to feed our hangovers and stumbled upon this little café. The staff were all very friendly and everything is cooked fresh to order which is great. Excellent value for money. Three of us had the £4 breakfast which was huge and came with toast on the side too! One of us had the £2.95 fish and chips which looked amazing too and an absolute bargain! If you are visiting Blackpool this is the place to go. Great menu at amazing prices. If it wasn't so early in the morning when we visited we would of had a banana split too :)

Really nice small cafe to eat. On the seafront by the central pier. A really warm welcome from Jackie and the rest of the staff. The food is really good, and made fresh when you order, at prices that suits any budget. Well worth a visit and i am sure you will return again and again.

After searching around blackpool for a affordable meal, but also a place with friendly staff. I stumbled on CJ's Cafe Bistro. I was welcomed with a lovely smile and chat, I ordered Fish and Chips (A Steal at £2.95!!) Fresh Fish, Battered in front of me and it was devine. Crispy and Filling. Loved it so much I came back following morning to try a breakfast, without a doubt a fine establishment run by lovely people.

went here with the my boyfriend sunday morning "wow" there was two members off staff on what a meal a young lady took my order and he served it very quickly to be honest i thought it was just going to be an Average meal but i was wrong it was beautiful so i would recommend

being a local to this establishment , I often dine there , having sampled food at many different establishments around Blackpool . I would 100% recommend the food on offer at cj's as it has a much wider variety than most eateries in the area . The staff are friendly and the food is prepared individually from scratch , Often i deviate from the set menu , the proprietor is accommodating to any type / variation of food order . The food portions are consistent with the reasonable prices that are charged , larger portions being available at extra cost . yesterday i had a rotisserie chicken meal , which fed three people adequately

Waited ages for 4 brekfasts then the lad who served us had the orders wrong paid for sonething that looked like a kids portion then 15 mins after the brekfast came they brought the toast out which was pointleas as we had already ate most the food. Understandable if the place was busy but it wasnt. Not good woudnt reccomend
