Cinque Port Arms in Dover

A great British pub, fairy quite during the week but comes alive at weekends especially Sunday lunch times. Meals only usually available Sunday lunch times. A great selection of drinks and friendly staff.

Had Sunday lunch here for the first time, good food, friendly staff, we will be back!

It's old fashioned pub. Very cool. I like so much. Perfectly served Guinness. And it's not expensive! Amazing atmosphere with billiard table.

Nice, honest, original pub near the harbor. Pool table, fireplace, sofa, tables, everything is a bit old and therefore really comfortable. good quick nice service and reasonable selection of beers. more pleasant loading.

Great Sunday roast which is a real filler, great staff and a good catch up place for drivers stuck in Dover at Motis parking. Will always go there as long as it’s open to stretch my legs 👍

A real English pub...everything smells like the UK. Good people

Well worth the stop, especially if you are trekking back to the cruise ship another 10 minutes walk away. Barmaid friendly and helpful. Great local bunch in having a drink and a laff, adding to atmosphere.

Very nice small bar in the port near the Truck parking .. I will be very glad to come there more often now that I know about it :) prize for beer is good, lovely barmaid, it was very good evening there :)

Great hospitality and very nice rooms you can book and also beautiful roast dinners. I very much enjoyed my stay there over the bank holiday weekend.

A lovely building, friendly staff and a good selection of drinks. Why one star then? Because they served the very worst food I've ever had in my life. It was appalling. I started with a prawn cocktail. I'm a fan of prawn cocktails and I always enjoy them, except here. I didn't think it was possible to take such a basic dish (prawns, some salad and some sauce in a bowl) and ruin it but, somehow, they managed it. The prawns hadn't been defrosted properly and were hard in the middle. A couple still had bits of ice clinging to them! The salad was tired and soggy and the sauce was sludgy and tasted awful. I made the mistake of ordering starters and a main course at the same time. That was a ploughman's lunch. I won't go into details on this one, but it was another incredibly basic recipe that they managed to ruin. It didn't even have the right ingredients to be a ploughman's lunch! Anywhere selling food would be a better choice than here. Pop into a service station and buy a couple of discounted three day old sandwiches and you'll still have a better experience.

Very intresting place with his history of ww2 friendly staff good atmosphere. Reminescence of the ww2 bombmends still can be seen.

Spent two and a half years boarding in this pub, a proper working mans bolt hole, my thoughts of this place are all good.
