Cinnamon Leiston in Suffolk Coastal

We had a take away with the korma, lemon rice, garlic nan, plain nan, pilou rice and chicken garlic chilli tikka masala. The latter curry was very spicy if you accidentally eat the chilli’s that looked a little like green beans but the flavour otherwise was fantastic! The korma had a lovely thick curry. Chicken was a little overdone in the korma but still nice and both naan breads were fantastic! Some of the best take away curry I’ve had! They were a little slower than estimated but they provided a place to sit and wait and were very polite. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back again!

Great food, friendly staff, great service. Recommend going there for a great night out with a wide variety of excellent dishes.

Collected my food from extremely pleasant staff, the food was absolutely fantastic. Keema naan is big enough for the heartiest of appetites, the chicken tikka masala is the best I’ve had. Chicken biriani is excellent, veg curry doesn’t disappoint either. I will book to eat in next time.

Booking a table was efficient and easy. Welcome was warm and service was excellent. The food was great, full of flavour and portions were generous ….so no snacking before you go!

We had a fantastic family meal here last Saturday. We were welcomed warmly and everything was brilliant from start to finish. They even sent out an extra dish for us on the house as it was leftover and they didn’t want it to go to waste. Really brilliant staff, atmosphere and food. We will be back soon!

A truly mouthwatering experience. Me and my partner have driven over 3hrs from Sussex to stay nearby and did our reviews before choosing somewhere to eat. We couldnt fault our whole dining experience. The food is flawless. Just a shame Cinnamon isn't on our doorstep. Thank you!

Went here while staying at the nearby Applefields campsite, great welcome food was excellent nice atmosphere and decor. The service was quick and included a complimentary dish to start and a drink at the end of our meal. When we had finished our meal it had started to rain hard so we asked for the number of a taxi however none were available so the owner / manager asked one of his staff and they gave us a lift back to the campsite brilliant service with a smile.

Haven’t visited for sometime . So glad we did . Such flavourful dishes with fresh ingredients . Attentive staff and felt well looked after with complimentary dish and drinks . Fantastic place to enjoy good exceptional food in a lovely environment . Well done Cinnamon! Thank you 😋👌

We have been coming here for 11 yrs every time we visit Suffolk and when you think it can't get any better it just does. Apart from the cool interior, excellent food and first class service the guys are professional, friendly and engaging. The welcome starts your evening bring treated like an old friend not a 'customer' they really go out of thier way. The food is always first class, no rushing, no waiting just an excellent meal. Great value for money and we will definitely be back.

It's one of the best, if not the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. I have been there 3 times already, and I'm never disappointed. Food is absolutely delicious and fresh made. That's the best option to dine in Leiston. Can't wait until I visit The Cinamon again. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes Indian cuisine .

Really solid experience. Food was very good. Shaslik and Korma really tasty. My lamb tikka madras was a little chewy for my taste, but chicken dishes succulent. Staff friendly and helpful and laid back. My son loved the garlic cheese naan.

Visited this Indian with friends hoping for a relaxed Saturday night out. We booked for 6.30. We hadn’t even finished our poppadoms and were told your main is ready so we had little choice but to have it. As we finished the main they cleared away the plates. We expected to be offered coffees or dessert but instead the bill was dropped on the table. Very shortly after the waiter came over with the card machine and announced the table was required for 7.30. We were dumbfounded. We were not advised of this when booking or even on arrival. The food was good but we will not return here. Greed overtook customer service and they did not care even when we voiced our dissatisfaction. Will hopefully get better service at the new one in Sax.

food was very good,but table was booked by phone for 6.30.when we arrived showed to our table and ordererd our food. before we had finished the popadoms we were told our main was ready and was brought straight out.as soon as we had finished our meal the bill was presented with a complimentery drink,we thought this was a joke but the manager came over and asked us to leave the table as there was another booking,this was 7.30 one hour after we arrived.we tried to explain we had booked,he told us there was two sittings one at 5.30 and 7.30.We was not told this when we booked nor when we arrived. would not recommend this place to anyone,only interested in makeing money not customer service

Called in as saw restaurant when driving by. Glad we did , as from front of house to the decor and quality of food was perfect. You were made to feel very welcome. The meal itself was great tasting and certainly plenty of it! We will certainly recommend to anyone who is visiting the area

We’re staying in Snape for a few nights and we fancied an Indian takeaway, so we thought we’d try Cinnamon based on its good reviews. The chicken tikka makhani and jalfrezi were very good, as were the naan breads, although the vegetable side dishes were a little underwhelming. The staff were lovely and we’d certainly visit again if we were in the area.

The meal was very good. Portions were large and very well presented. Could not fault the service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Taking my wife out for her birthday; we tried Cinnamon for the first time since moving to the area. We had heard great things about this place, but when we first moved here, it was undergoing a major refurb But wow!! We’ve been missing out on what is probably the best Indian restaurant in the whole area (and I do like an Indian😉) And to add that the head waiter recognised me from one of our local Indian restaurants where we lived previously from when I used to dine out with a very rowdy but well behaved football team I ran. All I can say is that my wife and I were treated like royalty for the whole evening and were treated to a fantastic feast of excellent, tasty, superbly cooked and presented food There was no rush like in some Indian restaurants to get you in, fed, money taken and out…we enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing evening eating our favourite dishes So all in all, a big ‘THANK YOU’ to owner Kay and his team for making my wife’s birthday a memorable event. We were made to feel extremely welcome and the atmosphere was like you were eating at someone’s home rather than a commercial establishment Fully recommend this amazing restaurant and will be using this as our ‘local’ when needing a fix of Indian food

Indian food at it’s best. We revisited this place twice recently as not been since 2019 and since then the whole place has been refurbished. What a difference! Still one of the friendliest welcomes in Suffolk, the place is stylish, warm and even the bathrooms are spotless. The food is excellent, consistent quality and reasonably priced. Seating is comfortable and not overcrowded. The place is busy most nights and especially the weekends when the noise increases, but request a corner table if like me you are hard of hearing. So lucky to have rediscovered Cinnamon as our local Indian restaurant.

I understand a Birthday party on Valentines may be unusual. We were asked to arrive at 5pm as they needed us out by 7pm. Most of us arrived bang on time, one of the party was 20 minutes late and 2 couldn't make it due to 5 hour delay on Orwell Bridge. However we were the only people there at the time, and couldn't even order a drink as they were ' busy'. From the off it felt like we were in the way. At 5.30pm we ordered. We watched as people came in for takeaway and got served. Then as a couple came in and got their starters. At 6.30pm we still hadn't got our food. (There was only 6 of us). When we asked how long it would be, the Waiter/Supervisor was extremely rude and said it was our fault as we were late! Which wasn't true as most of us were hanging about like a spare Popadom. The food when it finally arrived was nice, although there was a further wait for rice and chips and a salad had to be asked after as it had been forgotten. The salad caused much dropped jaws. It wasn't even a garnish! And it was served on a hot plate. Having worked in Restaurants all my life I couldn't believe the Waiter was actually arguing with us about the time of our arrival. Also if you are fully booked twice over and you have a larger party in early, the idea is to get them served (and therefore out) before the rush starts. We are all locals, but won't be returning!

Nice friendly staff and fresh clean tasty food

Myself and my husband went for our 18 year anniversary last night before going to the cinema. We decided to stay local and I'm so glad we did. Once again the food was amazing, service was fabulous and I honestly cannot fault a single thing.

We called at this straight forward country Indian restaurant having seen good reviews on Tripadvisor. The food is good and the service both extremely friendly and efficient. A car park directly across the road makes access particularly easy and if in area, it’s a great place to stop off. Recommended

We visit a lot!!! - for take away, we live locally, service and food are the best. Love it. Two drinks served the second we arrive. Nowhere else compares. Great vegetarian options, and best Dahl I’ve had. Plenty of choices and a great menu. Thanks for the best service and conversations.

We were having a short break in the area and, having heard excellent reports of Cinnamon, my daughter ordered a takeaway. However, I wasn’t bowled over with my chicken tikka which seemed to have an odd flavour that I couldn’t pinpoint. The other two meals were also chicken, one being a korma and the other being a jalfrezi, so I tasted both dishes and detected the same taste in the chicken. For the avoidance of any doubt, I had no concerns that the chicken was ‘off’. Given that Cinnamon’s menu is massive, it’s just not possible for each order to be freshly cooked. I’d hazard a guess that the kitchen uses a basic sauce to which different ingredients are added for each order. My daughter and son-in-law said their food was okay but, sorry to say that I wasn’t impressed.

We got a late takeaway from Cinnamon recently after a busy day had left us too tired to cook, and the shops were all shut anyway. They took our order and were very helpful with specific dietary restrictions that we had. The food was ready in 20 minutes approximately, tasted fresh and was delicious

This curry house is another great find. If you’re in the area, they have been established here since around 2003 and they gave the restaurant a full upgrade during the pandemic shutdown. The first thing that you will encounter is a lovely warm, welcome, and extensive menu, which, if I was to be a tiny bit picky, I would say needs to be slimmed down quite a bit. Our waiter was super helpful and friendly, he explained a number of the special dishes, so we made our selection, and as usual we overordered. Nonetheless, the food was good, I’ll give it a 4 out of 5 simply because, one or two of the dishes weren’t as fully flavoured as I was expecting.

I cant recommend the food here high enough. On my last visit I had Sheek Kebab and Lamb Dhansak. Both were absolutely Gorgeous. Cooked to perfection and generous portions. The service was excellent too. Personally? I think they,ve got it spot on.👌👌👌👌 See you again very soon. Steve G

Had a delicious dinner. We had poppadoms, onion bhaji and vegetable samosas which were very generous in size. Then we shared chicken shashlick with rice and king prawn chef special all beautifully cooked. Finished with a lovely pistachio kulfi which came in a ceramic pot. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the decor is very nice with photos of India, interesting lighting and a water feature. A highlight of our holiday so far.

Well, I promised a review, and here it is. After a fabulous meal at Cinnamon previously, we decided to book again, this time bringing our friends with us. Quite frankly, I didn't think it could get any better, but the Cinnamon team delivered on every level. With delicious food, healthy portion sizes, and a hilarious maitre d', our meal was one of the highlights of our holiday in Suffolk. The table was laden with food, from sizzling lamb tikka, to buttery naan, and platters piled high with rice. For me, the star of the show was the Saag paneer, my go-to side dish at an Indian. Creamy and rich, with a melt-in-the-mouth texture, I'd be hard-pressed to think of one better than Cinnamon's. And finally, for the big kids on the table, the 'Punky' and 'Eggman' icecreams proved to be a comedic (and tasty) end to a lovely evening. Thank you, I look forward to returning soon.

Fantastic curry, bhajis are fat and curries are generous portions and chicken is chicken tikka so really tender and jalfrezi was perfectly spiced, highly recommend!

Oh my, not that we doubted the previous reviews, but frankly I don't think there's much one can say about this little gem, except GO! I'm not the easiest to cater for with onions off the menu but the team looked after me with the tastiest Indian I've had for a long time. Rest of the family (who eat onions happily) reported that they'd dined with delight too. Thank you. We will be back. Next weekend in fact!

I cannot emphasise how brilliant this restaurant is. The service could and should win awards. The setting and decor is perfect and the food is amazing. We’re staying around 5 miles outside Leiston and decided to have a curry. A quick Google search showed 3 restaurants in the local area, but we decided to try Cinnamon because of the great reviews and I’m so glad we did because the food and hospitality was amazing. We will definitely be coming back before the week is out, see you soon.

Excellent Indian food, enjoyed all we had. Large car park directly opposite, free after 6pm. I think we were lucky to get in without reservation as the locale is not big and it filled up. 4* for atmosphere as i found the Indian music unnecessary.
