Cinnamon Contemporary Indian Cuisine in Horsham

Visited for the first time this evening. Superb food but service very slow considering it wasn't a busy evening.

The food at the Cinnamon has remained consistently at a very high standard for some years now - starters,mains and the side dishes. I particularly like the Naga chilli chicken. Good friendly service as well Well worth a visit !

Fantastic food, friendly staff and very clean with a wide drink selection.

Everything that I have tried is absolutely delicious. I am vegetarian and my favourites are the tarka dall, brinjal bhaji, peas aloo, chapati, and paratha. In fact, the tarka dall is the best that I have had anywhere - nice and garlicky! My late father became very selective when his health deteriorated. He as good as lost his appetite. One dish that he *would* eat and enjoy was the prawn dhansak. It became very important to us as a family! Cinnamon is much-loved by the Maslins. Thank you to the owner and his staff. Keep up the wonderful work!

Just had my first takeaway from them. I enjoyed it. Fast order over the phone and 20 minutes late at the restaurant for pick up and pay.

This used to be our favourite place for a takeaway but it has started to be hit or miss and the final straw was with our last order where x2 members of the family got food poisoning (and we've not eaten anywhere else). When we called to make the restaurant aware of the situation, the manager/owner laughed at us over the phone and wouldn't accept responsibility for what happened. Be very careful if deciding to go here and if you get food poisoning as well make sure to report as I'm afraid Cinnamon won't take it seriously.

Used to be a great curry house but the last few times we have had issues with our orders,dishes we have paid for but missing from the take away bag even a complete korma and rice!!! With a side of poppadoms missing also was a tikka masala but in place of the missing food we 4 cartons of plain rice!!! I don't even eat rice😠 Not a good look Cinnamon. Shocking and a waste of money for us. Now all orders are checked before we leave the restaurant

Came in to eat at 7pm didn’t get food until 9pm. Terrible attitude from the staff. 1 round of drinks in 2 hours. We was a group of 10 and was neglected…. However the food was nice.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've tried in the UK. It was delicious. I tried the chicken korma with rice and dear baby Jesus, delicious. I wanna go again. What was a let down a little bit was the dessert menu. I expected something more elaborated but it was just Cadbury ice cream and nothing else. Besides that the food was amazing and definitely will go again. The restaurant is very clean and in a cute old English cottage.

Came here with my family. Received a warm and friendly welcome and service was reasonably prompt. Good choice on the menu with something for everyone. Prices reasonable. Just a couple of small points. Jug of tap water was warm with no ice. I noticed someone else had pointed this out in another review. And when paying by card, the waiter tapped it on the reader without showing me the price on the screen which is something I hate. Meant I had not had the option to leave a tip on the card. Thankfully we had enough cash to scrape together for one.

Outstanding. Highly recommend the madras. Delicious. I stay nearby during training for work and make sure to visit here every time as it is simply exceptional. I would drive an hour for their food. Lamb Madras, tadka Dahl, keema naan. See you soon.

Took friends for a meal and it was delicious. The use of varied spice mixes puts this restaurant up and ABOVE YOUR NORMAL CURRY house. Really good choice of dishes, some not seen on any other menu locally. Highly recommended!

Had a family gathering of 18 people. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was lovely and everyone had a very pleasant evening. Their lamb tikka massala is the best I've eaten. My new favourite Indian restaurant.

I felt really rushed when I arrived we hadn't even sat down and waiter with the pony tail was just on and on. Food was great but waiter needed to learn patience

We ordered a take away on the spur of the moment. As we were in Billingshurst we just popped in and ordered there. The service we received was friendly and helpful and the staff were very welcoming. We were warned the wait would be 20-30 mins which is fairly reasonable, especially because the restaurant seemed to be fairly busy. The staff checked we were OK on several occasions while we waited and the food was definitely worth the wait. While there maybe takeaways that are cheaper but the food is soberly worth the price they ask. Highly recommended

Our favourite Indian restaurant and better than any others for miles around. The food is always good and well presented, never greasy, never cold and always well presented. I've eaten curries all across the South East and I think that the Cinnamon has to be in the top 3 that I've eaten at.

Absolutely awful.. Went with 13 on a table this Eve .Waited 1,hour & 45mins, still no food. Walked out ruined my evening. Expecting to eat by 7pm not 9pm!! They can not handle the orders, more waiting staff standing around with my guess of one un experienced chef attempting to cook. Thanks for ruining our Xmas meal☹️

Great Indian food in a friendly and charming atmosphere. The restaurant retains the character of the original building with the exposed wooden beams, and is cosy yet big enough for groups. The staff were attentive and very helpful, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced.

Oh well it serves chips olives and nor spiced food..but the restaurant is in a beautiful cottage with a old charcoal stove

Just returned from visiting for the first time. Read the reviews before going as curious how others viewed. Can truthfully say the meal was delicious, service fine (some of young staff are a little nervous but will improve with experience) but VERY happy & glad we tried. Certainly will be returning with friends. Thank you Cinnamon.

The cinnamon only opened 3 days ago so I fully expected there to be a few teething problems. The wait staff are young and appeared nervous. As a result the service was slow and a couple of things were forgotten and had to be asked for again. The food however was excellent; we had the chicken zilzila and gurkha lamb. Both dishes were served hot and tasted and smelled really fresh, not at all greasy. The lemon leaf in the zilzila gave it a real citrus tang which complemented the level of chilli nicely. The gurkha lamb was a very warming dish and the lamb was succulent and not in the slightest bit chewy. Both dishes were obviously prepared by a chef who knows what they are doing. The bread was fluffy and a lady on the table next to us said it was the best Indian bread she had had! The other diners were equally complementary of their dishes With time the service will improve as their confidence and knowledge increases. I hope that as the restaurant gets more popular, the turn out from the kitchen doesn't suffer under the weight of demand and everything remains beautifully fresh and flavoursome. If they achieve to meet the demands of more customers, Billingshurst will have a gem of dining experience at long last! I am rating 5/5 for the food, the service will improve. Well done Cinnamon, I will most definitely be back for more.

Food is absolutely amazing and really good quality. The service however is very very slow. We went last night at 8pm and didn't get main meals until 21:45 at which point we were past the hungry stage. The other elements of the service which were missing included; no apologies for the slow service. Missed a few items, did bring them over after I asked- but again no apologies. Also when they served the wine they just plonked it on the table- didn't offer to pore it or taste it! Not the best. Jug of water we asked for was warm and when asked for ice we got 4 cubes to share. Would go again, but hopefully they read this and improve the service to ensure other visitors have a better experience.
