Nice place to stop off for coffee and cake. Really friendly and helpful. You can find them on the main street in Newton Stewart. They are closed on Mondays.

Visited today for the first time as our usual choice was closed. A large space, rather reminiscent of a warehouse - clean and tidy, but not particularly appealing - a little imagination and updating would make a big difference. However, there was plenty of space for easy access by wheelchair. On the positive side, the menu offered an impressive, reasonably priced choice. The coffee was a bit strong and bitter for our taste, but the scones and teacake were very nice. Pleasant service. It won't be replacing our usual choice of venue, but not a bad option to keep in reserve!

Clearly a very popular cafe. Coffee was great and it is good for a cafe to have such a wide selection of books and cards for sale as well. Can thoroughly recommend. Right in the centre of the town on the high street.

I love this cafe!! The staff take care to know us by name, they are super friendly and hospitable. The food is wonderful and as for the gifts! I’m blown away .. the owner/s clearly loves God and has chosen some amazing gifts - books/bookmarks, cups, notepads, all sorts of wonderful items - that bring God to us. As a Christian, this makes me so happy. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a place like it. Not only do we get to dine on homemade food, we also dine on the word of God through her selection of books and items. I’m honestly in awe and I can’t stop smiling when I’m in there. Great place, highly recommend! Nichola x

We stopped here for a lunchtime treat one day whilst visiting Three lochs holiday park. What a lovely surprise. It’s a lovely Christian cafe and book shop. Lots of yummy foods on menu, whether you want a snack or full meal. The jacket potatoes were great and all reasonably priced too. After we browsed at the books and crafts. Lots of great gift ideas for adults and kids. Keep up the good work guys.

There seemed to be some sort of church affiliation to this cafe/local crafts/book shop but it was very low key so don't be put off. The snacks smelt lovely and the cakes looked good, but we only had coffee, which was fine.

We are down in this area about 3 times a year and we always head for this cafe ,its like a magnet pulling us in . A Christian bookshop takes up half the shop and the other side is one of the busiest cafes in Newton Stewart . We were lucky to get a seat . They do a lot of carry out trade as well which is not surprising . The quality of their scones and cakes can not be beat . The gingerbread is worth a mention on its own ,moist and delicious

My friend and I visited the cafe on 30/05/16. I asked for a piece of the coconut cherry cake. I was asked if I would like another cake as it was too dry to give to me. I was quite impressed by this as many places would just give me it and take the money. A good passing visit as the prices were reasonable, cakes delicously homemade.

What lets this down for me is the cold noisy atmosphere and the elastoplast pink colour of the walls. Everywhere echoes. Also there is a lot of evangelical religious literature everywhere which isn't everyones cup of tea. Service can be a bit slow, but the food is wholesome if unimaginative, but reasonably priced. You can't have everything!

Yet again this good cafe has been let down by its horrific customer service. I overheard a woman (unsure on her name) with purple hair say she wanted to punch one of the school pupils who were getting their lunch. Surely this woman shouldn't still have her job and should be taken to a mental hospital of some sort. What kind of person in the right mind would want to punch a child? Horrendous behaviour from the staff.

We were out & about for the day visiting tourist attractions,On the high street of Newton Stewart is this lovely café.It was so light & airy with plenty of room for my disability walker to fit at the side of my table. We ordered fruit scones with jam & cream, these were so delicious, had a latte each to go with them,we were given a choice of jam from jars on the counter put into a little ramekin as was the cream, none of those horrid little packs of jam.The staff were all really helpful & pleasant. There are Christian books, cards & lots of pictures & craft work for sale, lots of CD's too.We had a lovely chat with the lady serving at the counter where you payed for purchases, very chatty, she made us feel so welcome. We even made a special journey to go back a few days later,we were staying in Portpatrick so quite a trek but well worth it.

Think the restaurant caters for people who want wholesome fresh food, with home made soup (excellent tasting) baked potatoes, sandwiches and home made scones making up the basis of their menu. I'm sure this is the only restaurant in Newton Stewart where you can get humus with your salad - a dish I enjoy very much - but so far have not found elsewhere in the town. Customers have a choice of a small meal or a regular meal - very handy for people on a limited budget. I regularly have a small salad which more than meets my needs and is real value for money. In the past it was a small supermarket but is now a large warm and bright restaurant/bookstore with plenty of seating for customers. The staff are friendly and welcoming but can be put under pressure at school mealtime (local children go in for a carry-out at this time) so if you are in then you may have to wait longer for your meal.I have eaten here on several occasions and have not been disappointed yet.

This cafe served the worst scone I have ever had / didn't have. (and that's saying something as I'm in my 70s and have had a few in my time. You could build a house with a few of them. Inedible expensive rubbish. It came in a paper bag, no plate and a wooden disposable knife which struggled to cut it. The coffee was served in a paper cup. But was drinkable. Cost over £13 for two coffees and two inedible scones. I am disgusted and will definitely won't be back

Visited the Frothy this morning for the first & very last time as the cafe is closing. Whilst the cafe was comfortable the coffee wasn’t the best ever tasted and we were stunned at the price! Compared to other coffee houses close by it was surprising; could this be a reason they are not finding it profitable?
