Cilantro in Wandsworth

Went for wife’s birthday and wasn’t sure what to expect….it was quite possibly the best Indian food I have ever eaten! The simple reason is not just the quality and execution of the dishes (which I have had in other restaurants), but here every dish including each curry actually had a completely different and flavourful profile…this is not something I can honestly say happens elsewhere Standout dishes Starters: Lamb chops Scallops Fried prawns Mains: Lams lal mass Butter chicken Prawn curry Deserts Ras malai The food was so good I ordered one of each biryani as a takeaway to take home Catering to the customer: I asked for the lamb chops to be served medium and they executed that perfectly I also requested the food NOT to be mild (as some dishes would have been served mild) and instead requested all to be served medium and again fantastic job I will definitely revisit and hope the standards are just as high Well done ….

I had the pleasure of dining at Cilantro, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The aroma of spices greeted me as soon as I walked in, setting the tone for what was to come. The menu boasted a wide array of traditional Indian dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors and expertly prepared. The service is exceptionally good too.

To judge from our first visit, Cilantro is a worthy successor to the late lamented Ma Goa, which occupied the same Putney site for 39 years up to 2022. Styled as a 'healthy Indian', it’s an independent family-run mid-market modern restaurant; the menu is comparatively short (a good sign), and we were more than happy with our choice of dishes, none of which disappointed. Arguably the surprise star of the show was in fact the support act: a trio of various papadums, stylishly presented with home-made chutneys in miniature stone pots – but it was all delicious. Service was friendly and efficient, if understandably a little distracted by the demands of a large party on another table. We will be back for sure, and wish Cilantro all deserved success.

Best in London. I have eaten at Tamarind which is very good but Cilantro is in a class of it's own. The starters are exceptional, try the scallops, monkfish, aubergine or any of the prawn dishes, you will not be disappointed. The main dishes are equally delicious, exquisite. The paratha is the best I have ever had. I can recommend having the Sicilian Grillo with your meal. £55 per head is well worth it. A cut above.

Dined with family Tried their promotion for the weekend bottomless brunch .. food was ok , ,,, slow service for bottomless and what use are the left overs in the bowl . Staff didnt seem happy us asking for refills on a bottomless deal.

What a great find. The food was different, but sensational. Our group of 6 chose various dishes from the interesting menu and every one was delicious. The staff were charming and they helped to make our evening memorable. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Perfect spot if you are craving authentic Indian food. Lovely setting, great ambience and a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices to choose from!

We had Dal makhani with naan,papdi chaat & choley tikki. It was beyond our expectations. We absolutely loved every bit!!! The right amount of spices & indian flavour that I miss alot in London!!!

Reassuringly short menu of delicious dishes. Highlights were the cholley tikki and the prawn kempu for starters. We loved the duck in coriander and the chicken curry cooked in 15 spices. Attentive service. Good local to have, we’ll be back again soon!

Staff put together a table for the 3 of us although they were fully booked. Excellent food at affordable prices and staff were very helpful. Will certainly go again and recommend.

Friendly, unpretentious restaurant and lovely food, probably the best meal our family had during our stay in London (and we ate well). Our daughter especially liked the paneer tikka but all the dishes were thoroughly enjoyed. Keep up the good job!

Absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and the food is delicious and well presented. We had Coconut & Chilli Prawn, lamp Chops as a starter and main course is Kazhi Vartha curry, Lamb Pepper fry and Malabar Paratta, all the dishes is a yummy.
