I can see there are very mixed reviews but all I can say is that I had a fabulouse Banoffee Hot Chocolate on my visit. I had never seen this drink before and as I love banoffee pie and chocolate , I decided to try it. It was delicious!

The first time I visited this place it was amazing. We had a great coffee, hot chocolate and cake. It was quality produce, tasted great and there was a lovely atmosphere. The second time we visited, today, we weren’t as impressed. The white hot chocolate didn’t taste of much, other than warm milk (would have been better hot too) and the coffee wasn’t as good as the first time as it was a little bitter. We were also disappointed that dogs weren’t aloud in, when looking on the Instagram we saw the owners had a dog in the cafe so thought this would be a dog friendly cafe. We love the decor and ethos of the cafe. But unfortunately we won’t be running back after today.

The indoors remains ok. My coffee was really quite unpleasant - it tasted as though the machine needed a clean. We chose to sit in the outdoor area. It was tatty, very dirty and forlorn.

Awful service and unorganised team to say the least. Ordered through the app and waited 25 minutes. We then enquired about where our coffees were to be told they were very busy and ours would be made next. However people who were coming in for takeaway orders who ordered after us received there orders first within 2 minutes. Finally after 35 minutes we received our order only to realise my partner had been given the wrong coffee. This was then sent back and took another 10 minutes to get the right order. By the time my partner had received his coffee I had finished mine. To top it all off the coffees were luke warm at best. Whilst there 3 other tables complained about either the wrong orders being received or the wait time being ridiculous. After being told great things about this shop both me and my partner were very disappointed to say the least and will not return again.

Visited this place three times a day as it was close to my work. The staff are so friendly and I always look forward every day to see them. The oat milk coffee, Organic porridge, hot chocolate is the best I’ve tasted in a long time. For lunches they do very healthy salads and sandwiches the best place for the quality of the food and drinks. This is an absolute must to try out this place.

I love visiting Cielo for a hot chocolate (and a caramel shortbread or caramel brownie if I’m feeling indulgent)!! It has a great atmosphere and does great things for the community and the coffee growers as well. So much nicer than a chain and their strawberry hot chocolate is to die for if you have a sweet tooth. If you have children they have some kids toys upstairs so you can sit in peace whilst they have a play and you don’t feel like, you are disturbing everyone as well. Thanks Cielo!

It is the first place I ever visited when I first visited Garforth, and since moving here two years ago it has been our favourite Sunday treat. We go to Cielo whenever we can. Whether you are meeting a friend for coffee, eating lunch with family, spending some quality time with your other half or working by yourself, Cielo give you that warm fuzzy feeling from the moment you step inside. The white hot chocolate is my favourite...

This place is open until 11 on a Friday night in June and July which we discovered by accident while on our way to the pub. It was much more civilised than the nearby pubs which we had intended to visit and it was possible to get alcoholic drinks as well as coffee in a pleasant environment. It is refreshing to find somewhere that offers an alternative to a pub in the evening. There is a lovely courtyard at the back where you can sit if the weather is good. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Already thinking about when we can go again. Highly recommend it.

We popped in for a coffee and quick bite to eat, and it was spot-on! Welcoming and relaxed, friendly service; good coffee and an excellent hot panini - Exactly what we needed (there was a great selection of cakes, too, but that will be next time we go!) Cielo has a good vibe, and although popular it was still possible to get a table. The staff are helpful and friendly, and have a good rapport with their regulars, which is strong testimony in itself. Definitely would go again.

So a couple of years ago I wrote a review saying we used to go to a different branch of Cielo that was amazing and Garforth didn't have a great vibe and staff didn't seem keen to serve. Well, it's nothing like that now. I come every week with my daughter to meet my friends and hers. The staff are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much for them. Upstairs is a closed room with sofas and toys for the kids, it's a real hidden gem. And of course the most important part is that the coffee is the best I've ever tasted. Don't take my word for it, just come for a visit!

Been visiting since they opened on the other side of the road, and am always happy with what Ive tried. Cakes are varied and always good, whether made in house or from other local providers. Coffees, Teas, Frappes always good. My OH a big fan of their speciality coffees 'Chunk' with cream and chocolate sauce dripping everywhere. We don't live local but like to visit after a walk with our pooch at Temple Newsam and its worth the travelling. Summer when we can sit in the garden with him is an additional joy. But most of all what I like is they put their money where their mouth is, they get involved and play a supporting role in lots of community initiatives (instead of avoiding their corporate and UK tax responsibilities like some big brand coffee houses), its nice to know that our purchases not only support a fairer world for coffee farmers, but for the people who volunteer or work here and other local businesses too. Keep up the good work, dont listen to the whingers and look forward to my next frappe in the sun

I come to Cielos several times a week usually (though more often in Crossgates) because of the upstairs area that is kitted out with toys and a big open space for little crawlers to explore. Cielo serves the nicest coffee I've had compared to other big name coffee chains and their products are well priced in comparison too. I will agree with some reviewers though that depending on who has made it the drinks can vary massively in quality and they do get orders wrong more often than other places but I go for the facilities so I don't bother much. I have noticed too that the Garforth staff don't give as warm a vibe as the Crossgates staff. In Crossgates they're always chatty and friendly but I agree with one reviewer when they said there was an occasion in Garforth where it felt like they were annoyed to take an order. Don't let it put you off though, the majority of times we go is fab!

I visit this place several times each month, and whilst its still OK its not as good as it used to be.Whilst the range of cakes have improved, the new sandwich range is really not that great and the service in this Cielo is pretty average (it used to have super warm and friendly staff). The coffee ranges from OK to poor depending on who is making it. In addition to this cafe in Garforth, Cielo now has cafes in Crossgates and two in Leeds City Centre. The Cielo in York Place, Leeds is easily the best (its like the Cielo in Garforth used to be with great staff).

Having walked past this coffee shop several times, I was interested to try it out as it looked inviting from the outside. I was very disappointed when I walked in and received a below standard level of service at the counter. Two of the female members of staff were offhand in their manner, seemed disinterested and I felt like they were somewhat annoyed by having to serve me. The seating arrangements were okay, but the table didn't appear to be clean and had recently been cleared by a member of staff, so a quick wipe would not have been an issue. These are such a shame as the strawberry hot chocolate I had was really quite nice, but soured by the poor service.

The coffee is great - lots of variety of coffees, teas, hot chocolates etc. And the cakes are lovely. The upstairs space is ideal for families as there's more room and a toy box and is often a little quieter than downstairs. They give opportunities to local people to train as baristas (so occasionally it takes a little longer to get served) but it's very much worth the wait.If you're in the local area, pop in for a coffee, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I do like the clunking and crashing or a barista preparing my lovely black coffee, the aroma of the beans and the presentation of my one coffee a day. Sadly though, I will continue to walk past Cielo after trying on many occasions to convince myself that this was the best coffee in Garforth but it just doesn't work. On too many occasions I have been stood at the counter with three or four members of staff in front of me talking about last night's telly to each other I may as well have not bothered, I've waited, waited so more and walked out. My readiness to spend money here has gone, sadly, I don't like the coffee, it is too bitter for my pallet, most of all, I've found the staff quite rude.I am much happier with a smoother and in my mind, better cup at the Newmarket up the road or Paul's Cafe do a lovely filter just down Main St.Sorry Cielo, I can't waste my time on your door mat or at you counter again, such a shame as the founders do do some great community work, a sponsored stand is not what I had in mind

Cielo is a very different experience to the Starbucks and Costa's etc. This is a small (but expanding) business whose strategic objective is to plough its profits back into the local community. Certainly, since its conception, I am aware that Cielo has supported the local youth football teams, Garforth in Bloom, youth bands and numerous other local organisations.Coffee is bought in its raw form from various coffee bean producers across the world (take a look at the map on the wall to see exactly where) where a FAIR price is also paid to help with those local communities too. Coffee is now roasted in the new 'roaster' based in the Ceilo Coffee House at Garforth. It doesnt come any fresher than this!Cielo off a full range of Coffee and Tea including fruit infusions and seasonal specials. Prices compare to the leading coffee outlets. The attending staff are drawn from the local community and include both paid staff and volunteers. I have always found the staff attentive, willing and very helpful. They take time in the preparation of your drink to serve you with the very best they can. Sometimes, this can mean a bit of a queue or a wait for up to 10 mins for your drink but the hope is that you will sit down with friends, relax and chat whilst the drinks come through.Ceilo Garforth has seating on two floors. Bear in mind, that the staff will bring your drinks to you if you are on the ground floor, but if you are seating upstairs, you will need to wait for your drinks and carry them up yourself. If I have a criticism it is that the softer furnishings could do with a bit of attention. The settee's could do with a recover as they are shabby.

It is a safe haven and a community café which contributes significant sums of money to local good causes in addition to providing a valuable social resource. It has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and a wonderful garden which is well worth a look. My sister lives in France and did not think that any local café could compete with French cafes for relaxation and quality of coffee and service, but she was very favourably impressed with her experience at Cielo, and wished she had more time to linger. Cielo also offers invaluable work experience for local young people, transforming them from shy beginners to confident, competent team members in a kind and patient way. Full marks!

roasting their own coffee from the raw beans makes this place very special. Amazing coffee and really kid friendly. They also have Lactose free cakes which makes my other half really smile. Great place for a mid morning relax.

Cielo is a fab local coffee shop that serves quality coffee and delicious cakes (including diary free and gluten free cakes). The staff are really friendly, there is loads of comfy seating, and the prices really reasonable too (teas are £1.90 and coffees £2-2.50). Last year Cielo gave away £3,000 to local community projects. This coffee shop is highly recommended; once you've visited - you'll not visit Starbucks/Costa again!

Coffee is a delight to me, I don't consider myself a connoisseur or anything but I do love a good cup of java. It's just a crying shame my consumption and enjoyment of said beverage was a somewhat soured experience when drunk at this hell hole, I choose this phrase specifically, you'll read why soon enough. I visited the coffee shop after hearing good things about it so expected a joyous treat to be had in a friendly environment. Such was not the case, when ordering my beverage (a Chunky Coffee?) I had the pleasure of having my weight issue indirectly pointed out to me by the old lady serving. While handing my drink to me she looked at my stomach, and being a chap of slightly rotund stature, she nodded and mentioned that I won't need any food after my beverage, I assume she meant that because the drink had some slivers of chocolate in it that I shouldn't eat afterwards. Whether that was her intention or not I found it rather peremptory and brusque to say the least. Not to mention unprofessional. Anyway, I digress, when we foraged for a place to sit we found all the tables without customers present had debris, dirty cups and sullied plates on them. When this was mentioned to a member of staff we were told she was too busy to clear tables and that they're not too bad because we weren't eating anything! Now, back to my mentioning of the hell hole, I heard this place is run by the grand money maker that is the christian church, but I find the attitude and rudeness of the staff there to be completely opposite to the "love thy neighbour" and "do unto others" attitude of the aforementioned faith, that being said, maybe the staff here are more at home with Leviticus or Numbers, you know, the less tolerant of verses! With that I'll say I hope the big fella upstairs notes that there are female managers (Timothy 2:11) and I do hope their uniforms aren't made of two different fabrics (Lev 19:19) otherwise there'll be trouble at the pearly gates! Hell hole indeed.

This coffee house has wonderful coffee and tea. And good sandwiches and cakes. Atmosphere and staff are great too. Very comfortable with large squashy settees. Would highly recommend it to anyone, definitely worth a visit. What makes it better is its a social enterprise so makes brilliant opportunities for people within its own community, much nicer than the big chains! Had lunch and, so impressed, went back for a drink later too.

I've been a regular at Cielo since it opened and have enjoyed every visit. The coffee is delicious, the staff are great, friendly and very approachable. The atmosphere is the friendliest of any coffee house I've been to, top that off with all the profits going back to the local community and what's not to love! I'm proud to introduce Cielo to my friends who all go back as regulars.

Have been once before and found it OK ableit a bit chaotic. Visited yesterday. VERY dispointed.Lots of very young staff on but few of them working. Waited for what seemed ages to get served at the counter despite there being 5 staff behind the counter. 2 of the young girls were messing around on a smart phone and ignoring customers. The other 3 staff just seemed to be looking around at anything but the customers waiting to be served. Finally placed our orders at the counter and sat down.Dirty cups and plates on the table together with crumbs and mess. Coffee arrived after 6 or 7 minutes later. Waitress cleared the cups and plates but never came back to wipe up the food mess on the table. One of our 2 coffees was the wrong order, so tried to catch the eye of a member of staff to sort the order and get the table cleaned but they all seemed too self absorbed. By this time we had had enough and left. As we walked out one of the young male members was sat down and playing with his phone ...... whilst PICKING HIS TEETH !That just about summed it up...... BAD, BAD, BAD. Will not be going back.

After a long bike ride we stopped here for refreshments, at first we were apprehensive about leaving the bikes outside. This was soon remedied by the manager who invited us to push our bikes through the café to the back garden. We then ordered two coffees and cakes. The food and drinks were excellent. The décor is clean and modern. As for the staff they were very friendly and efficient. Will definitely revisit

Excellent food and great choice. Suggest you book ahead. For the "top" meals they are between £25 and £30 each. I had a mixed fish dish which was excellent.

We had Sunday lunch and were served by Sam . He was so good at his job and really made us feel welcome, our son is a very fussy eater and Sam couldn't do more to help. Lovely place for family's.

Popped in for a cheeky pint before dinner with my mate. The place has a good selection of local beer, good service and atmosphere. There are lots of rooms and it’s spacious.

The food was very average. There was nothing unique or special about the food. The service was substandard. I would definitely avoid this place.
