Cicchetti in Kensington and Chelsea

Da italiana posso dire che di italiano c’è il nome e poco più. Ambiente carino, curato ma personale molto freddo e distaccato. Bagni piccoli e austeri però puliti. Lasagne molto formaggiose con 5 pezzettini microscopici di ragù: la lasagna deve essere ricca di ragù e non fare il bagno nel formaggio (che sarà gustoso e sicuramente più economico, ma non e’ la tipica lasagna italiana). Pezzettino di branzino piccantissimo e di dimensioni più che ridotte. Provato per vedere come era però…di italiano ha poco e i piatti non sono cucinati come la tradizione o in maniera impeccabile. Non consigliato.

Cenar aquí fue una de nuestras experiencias más agradables mientras visitaba Londres. El espacio es elegante y muy bien decorado. La cena "cicchetti" que es similar al estilo de tapas era divertido. Pudimos disfrutar de una serie de excelentes platos, incluyendo Arancini, melanzane parmigiana, albóndigas de cordero y fletán. ¡Todo fue excelente! Nuestro camarero Carmine fue atento y ayudó a orquestar la entrega de los platos. Probamos el postre sampler después de nuestra comida, que es abundante para dos personas, en general una operación de clase.

Un buen restaurante en Londres para comer después del trabajo o simplemente para reunirse con amigos para tomar algo. Me encantó la comida y las bebidas.

I had a delightful aperitif today with a friend at Cicchetti Knightsbridge. The chef prepared three exquisite dishes for us, and I enjoyed a refreshing Hugo Spritz while my friend savoured a Gin Tonic made with Gin Mare. We felt warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived, and sitting at the bar gave us the opportunity to experience the exceptional service of Mr. Ceraso, an experienced maître whose engaging stories made the afternoon even more memorable. Overall, it was a lovely afternoon at Cicchetti, and we can't wait to return."

Piatti deliziosi,il menù è ampio e vario: primi piatti molto gustosi e ben serviti, vera pizza italiana e secondi molto buoni, sia di carne che di pesce. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile ed in particolare un ringraziamento a Carmine che ci ha seguito in modo impeccabile durante ogni sera che abbiamo scelto di cenare in questo ottimo ristorante di Londra

We were so looking forward to dining here with friends for a special birthday celebration. Fter dining in Liverpool San Carlo and Regent Street previously on different occasions with outstanding service and food! Not this this time sadly. I'm so sad that we chose Knightsbridge to bring friends. Welcome was less than welcoming. Waiter ot seemed all too much trouble for him. Starters came up at odd times making food cold. Garlic bread 1 was over cooked one under cooked. The chicken lemone that was not aopertising at all. Cold brocolli. One main was bought put 10mins before any others! Portion size was fit for a child! Who orders a pizza and gets a childs garlic bread size! For that price! What an earth has happened! Worst experience we've had in a restaurant for a very long time. Not to tye standard of you other beautiful restaurants unfortunately for us. So disappointed and embarrassed to have bought friends for a special occasion.

We went there a year ago and enjoyed it and booked again this year and some of the comments almost put us off going again. We went and had an excellent experience, good food, good service and a great atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

I had to give it one ‘star’ to write a review - but it didn’t deserve it. We are frequent visitors to Cicchetti Piccadilly over the last few years and have had such amazing food & service. It’s our ‘go to’ restaurant when in London. We have visited the Knightsbridge restaurant once before and found it equally as lovely as our visits to Piccadilly. So we were hugely disappointed with our visit yesterday at 1800 hours to the Knightsbridge San Carlo Cicchetti. The food was atrocious and not of the standard we have come to love and expect at Cicchetti restaurants. We were so surprised - and so very sad. Based on our last visit to this particular restaurant we were very much looking forward to our evening meal. Didn’t anticipate what we were exposed to. Food was overall cool/cold. For example: - the base dough of the Calzone was uncooked and the filling cold. - Baked Norma was a cool temperature, pasta very dried out and and hardly any sauce at all to make it edible - Pollo Limone sent back before tasting as the dark coloured ‘lumps’ of chicken looked less than appealing - We couldn’t share the Zucchini Frites because, luckily, we noted there were a couple of pieces of Calamari in the dish - and my daughter is seafood sensitive. The daughter and I ended up just sharing a slice of Bruschetta, small dish of mixed salad and some Patatine Frites. I’ve never declined to pay a service charge and in fact mostly over- tip on top of it! Sadly today I was so disappointing I had to request it be removed. Our bill was £65 so expensive for what we ate - but not overall because we did have water and two spritz. So we feel reluctant to return to this restaurant but sadly nervous about going to our Piccadilly favourite.

A very pleasant Italian restaurant. The concept is of sharing plates; around 5/6 dishes per couple. The food is good and the service is above average. The staff are very pleasant. Do try the prawns!

This isn't a cheap night out but the food is tasty. The serves are small but this was explained to us at the beginning as it's all meant to be shared. We started with bread which arrived with our rocket salad. Our two pastas arrived not long after. Our seafood pasta was tasty as was our meatball dish. We didn't share them! Our wines were very good. Staff were friendly and professional.

I don’t know what has happened to this restaurant. Poor service. Waiter was putting down our main course’s before clearing away our starter plates. Main course of tagliatelle bolognaise seems to have halfed in size since last year. It was more like a small children portion. Service was rushed and poor even though the restaurant was mainly empty. We have been going here for years, but we won’t be going back. It was embarrassing as we had recommended it for lunch to our friends we were with. Sorry won’t be going back.

I was dining with you Saturday the 6th for the first time with my Mom and little girl . I was welcomed in the best way that could possibly exist by a young lady, she had this warm and beautiful smile on, she was so nice to my daughter and even if she’s not Italian she still manages to welcome guests and greet them using it and this for me leave a very good first impression of the place . The food was out of this world especially the truffle ravioli and the fresh grilled prawns .My kid loved the bolognese and trust me when I say she’s a picky eater . If you are planning to visit soon they are a must have .. Drinks were mouthwatering, i had the Tutti al Mare 3 times because of how delicious it was. The service was quick and smooth even the restaurant was full , the staff still managed to check back on us and made sure we are well looked after . Also , they have a very nice private room where you can host your family gatherings which we were interested in , and once again heads up to the hostess !!! Even if it was a very busy Saturday evening she kindly directed us to the bar and offered us to have a drink while we wait .which we did . After a little while she came back, apologised ,took us to see the room and was able to answer all our questions successfully , which is why we will definitely get in touch to book it later this summer .( I think her name was Jasmin) Lastly we discovered a GEM in Knightsbridge and will definitely recommend to our friends and family. Many thanks to the whole team !

Chic, top-class Italian restaurant opposite Harrods side entrance on Hans Road. Very good concept, small portions are offered for little money, suitable for couples and groups to get to know many of the great dishes. Also a very good selection of Italian wines paired with perfect service

I visited Cicchetti Knightsbridge a couple of days ago with my partner to celebrate our anniversary . Since we walked in if felt like a dream , the warm welcome and the pure smile on Yasmin’s face made us feel very special creating an awesome first impression for what was ahead us. The food and the service were just EXCELLENT no more words to describe it honestly. I loved the sharing concept, we tried several dishes and enjoyed all of them . Many thanks to the team! Will definitely be back soon !!

This spot is great for a night out with some friends to introduce them to Italian cuisine. Since we stepped it, we were welcomed very warmly by the host. The food was stunning; truffle ravioli and tagliatelle alla bolognese were tasty and fulfilling as well as customer service was quick, attentive and cheerful. My friend and I have so much fun with the waiter that served us. Drinks were gorgeous and we were recommended a very good bottle for wine for our meal. Everyone was smiling and the ambience was cozy and bright, especially at the back where we were seated. Will be back soon!

I was there, family of ten people, for my wife birthday. What a shame, what a disappointment!!! I’ve been working in hospitality for over 35 years and I haven’t seen such a mess of a service they’ve given in this restaurant. The waitress started to offer the menus without presenting herself and without any explanation or suggestion about the menu or the service. The drinks and food orders were taken individually but what came after that was just a terrible show of incompetence and absolute disrespect for the guests. Where should I start? Ok, wine service: total lack of training. The wine server has presented the bottle, he opened it on the leg, he put the cork into his pocket and then he runs from the table to pick up a service napkin he had forgotten. When he came back he poured a bit of wine for tasting. After guest’s approval he just served the wine starting with the very same guest and then men first, women last. But let’s just ignore that trattoria style in a fancy central London restaurant! It’s food time: the waitress just started to randomly spread plates onto the table and then she went to the counter to add more dishes!?!? She actually had chosen for us who, what and when to eat?!?! She was splitting our order in three parts. By doing that, some people were eating starters, some main courses without any side-orders and others just watching!? When I asked her about what is going on she said: “ Ah, no problem, I will just put more dishes through now!” I could not believe this is really happening!!! And here comes the cherry from the top of the cake: I have asked the Maitre’D for an explanation. His exact words were: “ This is our new service concept.” Really, dear sir??? Serving the food in a total chaos? Is this your new service concept? I rather think of your lack of interest in training your team and this only to be polite! On that note of the “new service concept “ the birthday lady has got her food the very last when everyone else finished their meal already and cleared for dessert. Oh, but here comes one more thing from the kitchen: a portion of fries, a side dish for a main course long time gone… Just fabulous! And when I thought the nightmare was over: the waitress comes singing: “Happy birthday!”with a profiterol bun and a candle stuck in it. Then only for the humiliation to be complete, both Head Waiters arrived at the table to sing one more time!!! Look: I’m not Italian, but even so, I’ve never been so offended, almost ashamed of what happened here that evening and I have to remember it now writing this review.

Very nice art deco style restaurant with style and elegance. Good service as well. The food is very good on the whole but only criticism is the very small size of the dishes and the sea food pasta with virtually no sea food in it.
