Cibo in Kensington and Chelsea

We went on a stormy Saturday night so wasn't completely full. Service was excellent and food great. My partner was particularly impressed with the crab/squid starter and the swordfish. We are always the last to leave but didn't feel rushed and. It's at the end of my road, so will certainly be returning.

A marvellous evening in this elegant friendly restaurant. Good raw tuna and veal as antipasti then swordfish and an excellent mini ravioli filled with veal in a creamy black truffle sauce, followed by amazingly ingeious cannoli.

It’s a lovely place with decent Italian dishes. My only concern is the wine service - Please don’t bring an open bottle to the table, always open it in front of the customers. Also the prawns didn’t taste like very fresh tbh but otherwise it is a good restaurant.

Actualmente escribo esto en mi cama después de tener el peor episodio de intoxicación alimentaria que he tenido. Todo estaba bien mientras estaba allí (el tamaño de las porciones es muy pequeño), pero cuando llegué a casa me sentí muy mal y vomité varias veces. Muy inquietante, me ha asustado de los mariscos durante mucho tiempo.

The experience was excellent! The staff was lovely and patient with us, as we took forever to get to the menu (talking too much with family from the States visiting, haven't seen them in years). The food and service were excellent!! The staff was so helpful with my Mother as she couldn't decide what she wanted and they explained the options to her. We had a wonderful time!! The only thing we could complain about was the stairs to the restroom, those who used it were scared of falling. I will be going again, maybe with more able-bodied people....LOL Thank you for the most wonderful experience!

Al entrar en Cibo, fuimos trasladados instantáneamente a Italia (o Nueva York para el caso) de la mejor manera posible. El restaurante es tan encantador y el propietario con el personal cuida espléndidamente tanto de los huéspedes regulares como de los visitantes por primera vez como nosotros. Es encantador compartir el espacio para la cena con parejas jóvenes, familias con niños pequeños y personas mayores que se ponen en el mejor de los estados de ánimo de la absolutamente DELICIOSA comida y vinos italianos. No puedo recomendar esta joya Holland Park lo suficiente.

Good basic Italian food, sea bass especially good. Reasonable value for money but service pretty chaotic.

I have been eating @ Cibo’s since they opened and Gino & Sally are still just as amazing as ever. The food is wonderful and the service is always friendly and discreet. The very best always.

Great to return to Cibo after several years. The delicious food and friendly understated service remains unchanged and I can highly recommend it as a superb neighbourhood restaurant.

Been coming here for about 25 years. Never had a disappointing mean and always good to excellent. For a Monday evening, our last visit was outstanding.

Cibo delivers on every front. Wonderful, fresh, seasonal ingredients cooked with imagination and beautifully presented. Every plate is a masterpiece. Service is thoughtful and discreet. Wine list offers a good choice of wines and prices. This is the perfect spot for dinner with friends or a family celebration. Our birthday dinner for seven was fabulous and We were offered lovely home made canapés and heavenly pastries with our coffee.

CIBO is a neighbourhood restaurant with an excellent menu and very friendly staff. The dishes aren’t pretentious and everything feels very fresh and cooked to perfection. And all of it very reasonably priced. I unreservedly recommend CIBO.

Cibo is one of the best Italian restaurants in London! Delicious food, fantastic service and atmosphere.

As a vegetarian there are several delicious options on the menu in the starters and pasta. Vegetables as extras are not shown in the menu but we were able to have an add of delicious spinach . Most Food is served on enormous & colourful italian ceramic platters, which is unusual! A lovely eating experience.

The perfect neighborhood restaurant. Reliably good food, excellent service, lovely ambience, quiet enough to enable conversation. Whats not to like? Would happily have a table there on a weekly basis.

We were celebrating a birthday and had a lovely night out in a buzzy and friendly atmosphere. The quality of the food was just outstanding. The fish in particular was cooked to perfection. The floor manager was very attentive and, since we were not sure, suggested an interesting white wine that went very well with our meal. We finished with a delicious tiramisu and a gelato affogato - all home made. It was our first time there and we will definitely go back

We had our diner at Cibo today. The food ariety is limited which is quite surprising for such a restaurant with high rating. Overpriced for what you got and little food on big plate. The service is disappointed, as they serve the plate to the wrong person and didn’t even ask. We told the waitress all our requirements which she said understood but sadly ignored. The waitresses seem so busy with nearly an empty room. The best dish of the meal is the free dessert. The biggest disappointment is that we ordered a maltagliati which is £19.5 on the menu, but it shows £21 on the bill which is quite a scam.

Have been eating here since they opened. Incredibly consistent high quality food. Comfortable seats and unlike so many London restaurants you can hear yourself speak. Service is first rate, efficient and unfussy. Have tried them all and I always go back.

This was our first time here. There is a good selection of slightly more fancy Italian dishes with an emphasis on seafood. I found my pasta with duck and mushrooms rather rich and a bit disappointing. My family who dined with me found some of the dishes amazing and others were also a bit disappointed so depends what you like. The staff were friendly

Not your typical English Italian restaurant. It has a limited menu of well chosen dishes, all of which are excellent and well presented. The house wine too is really good. An all moderately priced, certainly by central London standards. The atmosphere is pleasant. It is clear that many diners are regulars, which contributes to the relaxing feel of the place.

This restaurant is at the end of my road and I only went for the first time last week. I was really impressed with the lovely fresh food and great service. Will certainly return.

I had diner with my daughter and we enjoyed the 3 courses meal which was delicious ( roasted vegetables with mozzarella, home made Italian bread, white wine linguini with lobster, tiramisu). I will come back soon

Lovely traditional Italian with full size tables and no overcrowding. Service and food was outstanding especially my whole seabass! A really good and intetesting wine list which was not overpriced. Will certainly be back when next in London!

Delicious authentic italian food, lovely atmosphere. Service was great and very attentive . The scampi and scallops with squid ink tagliolini were the best I have had. The fresh artichoke and asparagus starter was divine. The fresh little homemade pastries served with coffee are a lovely touch.

My friend and I had dinner here on Friday night as we were staying locally in a hotel. I booked a table a few hours before. The lady I spoke to was very friendly when doing so. The food was just lush! So fresh and tasted amazing. We share the courgette flowers with mozzarella, which tasted divine. I then had a whole fish, delicious and my found had fresh pasta with duck and wild mushrooms. Again, so tasty. We shared some homemade ice cream and an amaretto dessert... yummy! I would recommend this place, without a doubt.

Really authentic Italian cuisine, couldn't fault any of the courses / selections that we made but the monkfish skewers were a highlight. Great choice of wines, red and white. Attentive service but not 'in-your-face' style. It looks a little underwhelming from the outside, but certainly makes up for it when you enter the door. A great discovery

We've been here many times, and Civo is simply the best Italian food in London. Must recommend the focaccia and seafood platter, but any of their dishes are fantastic. The kindest service, and most delicious food. Highly recommended.

Lovely food in cosy surroundings. The loos were a bit difficult to access as down a steep staircase. Could do with a rail on those first 2 steps down. Great find, will go again. Julia W

Menu ben fornito soprattutto per quanto riguarda il pesce. Ottima lista dei vini, dolci squisiti ed estrema gentilezza. Servizio impeccabile.

A very mixed experience. My first course (octopus) was excellent – the octopus itself was just as it should be and the presentation (on a beautiful large dish with an octopus illustration) was a great touch. My second course was spaghetti alle vongole veraci, and was deeply disappointing – while the preparation was fine, the clams were simply not fresh. I was dining with a group of friends and did not want to sour the atmosphere by complaining, but this is unacceptable for a restaurant that seeks to offer proper Italian cooking. It's a shame as the service was very good and the wine list is interesting and not over-priced.

I took my daughter out for dinner here. The restaurant feels like a neighborhood restaurant, but with world-class Italian cuisine. Unostentatiously classy, with great attention to detail and a truly warm and excellent service. Overall, an amazing experience!

We had a lovely evening. My only criticism was that the entree portions were on the smallish side. Otherwise, food was delicious.

Saw this venue had good feedback on Tripadvisor and the feedback was correct. warm welcome, great cocktails, great food and wine definitely visit again without hesitation.

We came here for my birthday. It’s a nice intimate setting (just a few tables) and you can actually speak in your normal voice and be heard. The place was clean and beautifully set. It was a Wednesday and there were only 2 other tables of 4-5 ppl each aside from us. So the 2 servers were sufficient. They were attentive and the service is excellent. The food was great and nicely priced. All other dishes were good. And my kids enjoyed the gnocchi here than they did in Rome. Seafood was great and nicely seasoned. Bread was perfect. Happy to have made this reservation and will definitely go back.

Absolute gem of a restaurant hidden away in Kensington and a short walk from Shepherd’s Bush. Been here many times over the last 10 years or so and it remains probably our favourite restaurant in London when we fancy something special. Cooking is always of the highest standard with excellent quality fresh ingredients. Everyone is so welcoming and unobtrusively helpful. Always leave feeling very happy. Totally recommend.

Great food and service. The cured ham and mozzarella for starter was amazing and the linguine with lobster for main was the best I have ever tasted. The amaretto and lemon cello was the perfect finish to a lovely evening. Thank you.

the service was charming and polite but exceptionally slow as they were very busy and understaffed. We requested lemon wedges, for example for the calamari starter, and has finished eating it before the lemon arrived. the food and wine were delicious, but it was painfully noisy sitting in the front of the restaurant, and when the bartender shook the cocktail shaker we had to stop talking until he had finished. If I go again I would like to request a table in the room at the back

Cibo is a lovely warm and welcoming restaurant with a great atmosphere it is intimate and makes chatting easy. The Italian dishes are delicious. We have known it for many years and still meet the same staff! A go-to restaurant in West London!

Excellent authentic Italian seafood. Would recommend Vitello Tonnato if you like meat. The best I have had outside Italy. Also the Spaghetti alla Vongole was delicious.

I used to be a regular here 25+ years ago when I lived in London, and its still my go to restaurant when I return. The service is always exemplary and the food terrific. Years ago I used to see the likes of Mick Jagger and Bryan Ferry dining here, so I was not so surprised to see a founder member of one of the greatest bands of all time dining here on this latest visit...However, the main reason for dining here is that you will have the perfect restaurant experience with none of the aggravations afforded by the plethora of amateur offerings that regrettably can so often be the norm...

I was so happy to have found this wee Italian restaurant when I was in the area for a conference. My partner and I wanted somewhere local with great food and found this online Great food is what we got and more. Run by a lovely couple who managed to fit us in last minute. We were warmly welcomed and the food was really delicious. I had my favourite, spaghetti vongole, which was one of the best I’d had. The food was all fresh tasting and wonderfully Italian. Lots of lovely bread provided and snacks. Desserts looked great but we opted for a cheese selection. All very reasonably priced. We had a cracking night and met some lovely hosts. if I lived nearby, it would be a firm favourite. I will definitely comeback when in the area. Thank you for such great night!!
