First time visiting Waterloo and this restaurant did not fail to deliver. Friendly staff and lovely food, will definitely be back!

Great 80th Birthday celebration at Chy. One of our favourite restaurants due to consistency with food and service. Staff are always so welcoming and we are never rushed.

Ordered a takeaway takeaway two hours ago and I've already paid nearly eighty pounds online using my card and still no sign of my meal. Please don't give these absolute jokers your own hard earned money. The meal eventually arrived after two and a half hours. It was ok, but definitely not worth the wait or cost.

Food was amazing and also catered for gluten free -rated for my grandma when she went -Mystic-

Always enjoy eating at this restaurant. Friendly and professional staff. Fast service and a clean restaurant. We generally go for the 3 course set menu. You choose a starter, appetiser and a main with rice. Always delicious food and at a great price. Costs us £20pp with added chips. Lovely!

Just been for dual Father’s Day meal with family today. Exceptional service, food was delightful. Cool design inside restaurant Will definitely return and we all would highly recommend Norm wady table of 9 at 4 today 👊🤠

Myself and the family went to Chy south road, All the staff very helpful and friendly, lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and also very clean. Food was delicious pipping hot & fresh for all of us. Gluten free options with myself being a Celiac it’s hard to find a Chinese restaurant that has good gluten free options. Would highly recommend the chicken sweet corn soup, sweet and sour chicken and beef broccoli in garlic sauce all GF. Thanks Bev & the team. Excellent as alway xxx

Just had a delivery. The young girl who delivered it was very friendly and we couldn’t fault the food we had. We’d definitely order again or visit the restaurant. I won’t say what the meals were as you’ll be drooling…

Went off the set menu, great choices and something for everybody. Crispy chilli beef was spot on, very tasty. All the food tastes fresh. Staff were spot on, very attentive. Would definitely come back.

Nice venue, but sadly the food was lacking. The seating wasn't Ideal sat on an island with staff and customers whizzing about. Wouldn't go back but you might like it?!

Came here yesterday for a booking of 12 people, and the food was absolutely amazing! We ordered so much and it all came out really quickly and all the staff were amazing and friendly. Would highly recommend this place. Thank you so much for such high standard service and amazing food! X

Just returned from a Satuday evening bookung. Best chinese food we've had. House wine was very nice.Excellent choice. Fun and vibrant atmosphere but not noisy. Relaxed and enjoyable. The service was outstanding as well. Such friendly, professional staff. Cant rate it highly enough.

First time visiting here. Went with friends and found the food was lovely. We ordered from the set menu which is available on set days. You get a starter, soup & main course with a choice of boiled or fried rice. A nice selection of items to choose from Service was quite slow we were left waiting for orders to be taken for quite a while but once our order was taken the service was good. Would definitely go again

We got there early so little quiet when we arrived, but more arrived throughout. We had crispy chilli chicken and chicken in black bean sauce, both with fried rice and both delicious.

Every time I've come here it's been twice, nothing ageist the people they are friendly, but have found hair in the food! And they say it's the waiting on staff that this could happen... so it's OK to have hair in your food , good place to gain hair 😂

Ordered food and drink staff ignorant and rude Had been using my vape discretely and NOT in anyone’s way (the same way I and many others use theirs) some snotty waitress then told me they’re illegal and the fire brigade will come out and charge me £500 - (apparently they’re illegal in restaurants) Never had an issue in ANY restaurant I’ve ever been in let alone the many on South Road I wasn’t blowing anything all over the place, using it very discreet Think they was more bothered about chatting between themselves about what colour to paint their fingernails that would coordinate with their toenails Ignorant and patronising staff

Yeah having read the reviews, I had high hopes for this place but my partner and I found it disappointing sadly. The surroundings are lovely as are the staff but there was just no atmosphere. My food was lovely but my partner wasn't impressed with the beef curry main which contained just 5 small pieces of beef and the curry itself was just bog standard chippy curry but more watery. We also felt that the portions were on the small side, I usually struggle to eat 3 courses but I probably could have eaten another course. Service was very good but rushed, no sooner had we finished the last forkful, the plates were whipped away and we were asked if ready for the next course, which as we were hungry, we just said yes, the next course then appeared within a minute or two. Yes it's very efficient but we were in and out within 45 minutes so whilst I think it could be a good place for a quick teatime treat, it's not somewhere I'd recommend for a cozy or romantic meal where you can linger, chat and enjoy a few drinks alongside it, there just isn't the time and it just doesn't have that type of ambience. Overall, generic pleasant surroundings that are serving small portions of Chinese takeaway food. Most of the food was nice but I'd stick to takeaway in future. Don't expect an authentic Chinese restaurant.

Been to Chy South road on a number of occasions and the food has always been lovely however this visit wasn’t great. Ordered the platter & while it was nice it just wasn’t up to the normal standard I’ve had before, the chicken on the chicken skewers was sliced that thin you could practically see through it. Then my meal came and I found a big black hair in it. Response from the manager was the chef hasn’t got hair. I’ve got red hair and my friend is blonde so it’s not ours. Anyway all I got was a sorry & it’s not the chefs. Needless to say I won’t be returning

Absolutely the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in a while the staff and food were absolutely amazing if you haven’t been yet you definitely need to try. It’s a little hidden gem ❤️

Great service with friendly efficient staff & even though it was busy we didn't wait long for our meals which was the 3 course offer that was available, good value & perfect. Lovely clean, modern place with the spacing of tables sufficient for privacy. Will be visiting again.👍

Lovely place food amazing staff very good

My granddaughters 21st birthday on 21st February. The whole family went including a baby and a toddler, the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and patient! The food was amazing! Hot, tasty and everyone agreed we would be coming back soon.

A hidden gem and great value considering all the options on South Road.

I had the crispy chicken with sweet chilli sauce, and it was absolutely fantastic. I'm quite weak when it comes to spice, but this was just hot enough to be tasty and thoroughly enjoyable. The business is family-run, and the owners of the restaurant were working alongside servers, making drinks, welcoming guests and ensuring everybody was taken care of. The mood was lively and cheerful, and the food came quickly. I would definitely reccomend. 5 stars!

Simply the best quality Chinese going. You get what you pay for and this is top class food sitting in , and a lovely treat to have delivered at home too. Always fast and friendly deliver and the food arrives just at it would in the restaurant, hot & tasty!

Paid a visit to this fine restraunt earlier tonight. Even though I've been twice, tonight was the best night I've visited since moving to Waterloo about 6-7 years ago. The best Siu Mai, crispy duck/pancakes and service that I've had in a long time! 5 stars. all day.

I heard from a friend to try this restaurant, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. She described it as a magical experience, especially due to their outstanding treatment from the staff. Our waiter Olly particularly impressed, welcoming our family to the fullest ;););)

Awful. King Prawn vermicelli. 2 King Prawns in the whole dish and a few small prawns to con you. Rip off. This is a very low standard comparison to the one in Liverpool Town centre.
