Chy Liverpool City Centre in Liverpool

Went here on a Monday night so it wasn't packed. The food was excellent though and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend eating here

Very busy during our visit, but service was prompt, friendly, and professional. All the dishes were served hot and tasted delicious. My only issue is that i ordered a side of veg, which, when it came, was covered in some kind of sauce. This was not mentioned on the menu. I asked to get it changed, but by the time it came back out, i had finished the rest of my food.

I am beyond happy with my dining experience at chy today, the food was amazing but it was the the lovey young lady mollie who waited on us today, she settled us in lovely and made the experience 5 stars. I definitely will be returning in the near future.

Great food staff great lovely place

I have gastric issues and cannot eat incredibly large amounts. Upon my visit to Chy the experience was lovely however after clearly specifying 3 times I wanted the smaller kids portion of curry…down arrived the large adults! Whenever I brought this up to the waiter when settling our tab he was very argumentative and offered no apologies, rather argued with me for 10 minutes. I was disappointed because had I known they were going to give me an adult portion regardless of what I wanted, I would have ordered a dish I preferred more than the curry off the adults menu. Gutted

I ordered some meat rolls and a side of rice with egg. It was very good, watch out! The meat rolls are spicy (it doesn't indicate it) Exceptional service, and speed too.

We came here for the 3rd time yesterday and must say it’s the best Chinese restaurant we’ve been. The service is always amazing, the price is reasonable, especially the set menu on a Saturday up until 5pm and midweek. The food itself is obviously the main highlight, everything we tasted blew us away, the hot and sour soup, spring rolls, prawn toast, salt and pepper chicken wings, crispy chilli beef and chicken in satay sauce. I’ve recommended you to loads and will definitely be returning - the best Chinese out there! 👍

Booking system worked very efficiently, and was easy to use. Arrived and was met by an extremely personable owner. He managed to maintain the same level of genuine hospitality to all despite an avalanche of custom throughout Friday night. All staff were super pleasant and helpful. Yumi and Maia never stopped working but showed no signs of stress - friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant ran like clockwork. A very effective team producing lovely food and drink.

Unbelievable food, got the lunch menu (3 starters for £21.99 before 5pm). Well presented food with buckets of flavour on each plate.

friendly and lovely atmosphere. the prices were reasonable for a restaurant but the food could use a lot of improvement. if you LOVE chinese, you will not like it here. i’d say this is the equivalent to pub food.

The atmosphere is incredible, the service is amazing, and the food, the only negative thing I've got to say, really, was the curry sauce is sweet, and I like mine spicy, but that's personal preference everything else I had was brilliant.

Disappointed with the food however the staff were very friendly especially the Manager and the atmosphere was great.

If you want authentic Chinese food, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. Chicken was as white as the plate it came on. Food was bland. No salt or pepper. I ordered the beef chow mien and it didn’t even taste like it was cooked with beef. Beef was chewy and unseasoned. Drinks were good and service was ok. Food was not. Chips had more color than the chicken, which was also the same consistency as the eggs it came with. Ended up dousing both meals in soy sauce and it was still bland.

Thank you to the team at Chy for hosting my mother in laws 60th birthday. We had a large group of 35 and the service was excellent throughout the night. Despite the restaurant being generally busy on a Friday night, drinks were brought out quickly and the food was perfect. Highly recommended.

Had a early bird menu for 22 pounds 1 drink beer and 1 wine, bill come to 43 I explained that I ordered 2 chips at 1 pound each,waiter said you ordered 2 chips at 4 pound each,which I didn't,don't know how to charge me this much,won't go again

Prompt service, not rushed, food delicious and reasonably priced.

This is the place to go if you want a Chinese, always good food. Staff friendly, warm welcome.

Starters were good. Main meals hanging kebabs came cold...waited 15mins for replacement...well over priced...the waiting staff were helpful .

Seated straight away at a busy time the atmosphere was busy and music in background food was presented excellent banquet B ordered everything was served at stages very good.

Visited this restaurant to celebrate my sisters birthday, it was a lovely evening, the food was amazing and the service was excellent, we were looked after by Barry and Ume. They were both great and couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be back when we are next visiting liverpool.

Top class from start to finish, with excellent seating due to my mobility issues from 'April'? on reception, along with at table assistance from Barry, who certainly went the extra mile to help me. Service was quick and the quality of food excellent. Well done to all at Chy!

Yes I enjoyed eating their the staff where brilliant on the ball with their table numbers, but the down side is my meal which was chicken curry with plain rice was not with fresh chicken pieces, being an ex chef due to a disability the chicken was frozen, and not fresh chicken if you are making a chicken Curry it doesn't take long to cook strips of chicken with the rest of the in gredience

This is the best Chinese in Liverpool. We have been here many times. The food is gorgeous, the service is brilliant. Really good value for money. I would highly recommend this.

We had a lovely pre-graduation dinner here with our daughter and her boyfriend. The food was great and the service from Maia and Lucy was excellent.

The food in the restaurant is fabulous. I just didn't want to stop eating, floor staff were just average but the food made up for it. OMG it was delicious

Absolutely stellar experience at Chy this evening. Took my Mum out for a birthday meal, impeccable service, amazing food, everything I'd asked for in my reservation catered for and then some. Definitely gonna be back!

Friendly staff, although they didn’t give you much time to look at the drinks menu before ordering. When asked for a few more minutes, they came back in around 2 which was slightly too quick for us. Food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced with decent portion sizes. Food arrived in good time but you could tell it was all freshly cooked.

The food was wonderful everything well prepared fresh cannot fault the food or the service definitely my favourite place to eat

We booked a table for two on Sunday 12th May 2024 at 17 30. It's the first time. we have dined at Chys we will certainly go back greeted by a brilliant guy at the door and Served by a young Lady called Lucy Well Done Lucy you are a great ambassador for Chys .Well done too Chys lovely food

CHY is now our go to restaurant. Food is fantastic and the staff are very warm and friendly.

Really nice decor, staff are wonderful, place looks spotless, food was really nice but I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary on a Chinese menu, might have missed is so sorry guys.

Scotland 13 were here sat 4th May. Restaurant stunning. Food, staff & atmosphere second to none. A special shout out to the lovely Erin who looked after us all and to Kieran & Nicole for arranging our taxis. Highly recommended.

Both chys In town and in crosby are 10/10 everytime. I must of been 10+ times!!!!! Staff at Both places are polite and friendly, always helpful Would recommend highly without a doubt!!!

Not very authentic but okay quality.

We were lucky enough to get a couple of wins on the grand national, but luckier to get a table here that evening. This was my first visit to Liverpool, and I always use Google reviews to try to decide where to eat in a new city. We booked online and watched a few groups having to be turned away as they were so busy (always a good sign). We were greeted and seated very quickly and our drinks order taken straight away. We ordered the banquet, which was delicious, but too much for us to eat, so the restaurant was kind enough to box it up for us to take it away with us. The most impressive thing for me, was how great the staff were. There was a table near us who were being difficult and the staff dealt with them much better than I would. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you're in Liverpool, but remember to book.

Great Chinese restaurant in Liverpool. The food is simply fantastic. The prices are very fair, we placed our order and about 15 minutes later we had piping hot food. The was very tasty and filling, good portions. The waiters are very polite and easy to deal with. I would recommend booking a table in advance, also the salt and pepper chicken is very nice .

Not the good authentic Chinese meal I was expecting. Although well furnished and welcoming with an open kitchen, the meal I ordered off the set menu was not the best. I started with chicken and sweetcorn soup...basic with little chicken, I then had BBQ ribs..warmed up and very dry. The main was char sui pork chow mien, tasteless meat on a plate of plain noodles, not my idea of a chow mein. Will have to keep searching for an original Chinese restaurant.

They claim to be the best Chinese in Liverpool - very bold. Unfortunately I didn't try another Chinese....but this wasn't the best. Me and my Mrs chanced jumping in without a booking - we were happy they got us a seat but made it seem like they tried very hard....when there there only around 8tables full and remained that way until we left 90mins later. Service - waited awhile to order our food/drinks. The empty starter plates sat on the table for over 15mins. Nobody asked how the food was. We asked for the bill and 5mins later we asked someone else for the bill as the person we asked was just standing around at the tills. There were 4 waiters. Poor service. Food - prawn crackers - free portion which is nice and they were lovely. Chicken noodle soup - lots of noodles, decent amount of chicken and some sort of cabbage but it was bland, almost like it was just hot water. They asked for soy sauce - which I suggest you say yes to. Chicken curry - very good portion. Fried rice was very white and the sauce had a small flavour to it but was very thin. Slightly bland. Chicken fried rice - again, very white rice. Chicken was white, similar to the pre packed chicken from a supermarket but heated up and some peas thrown in - again bland. Good portion. Chips - decent portion, chunky chips, cooked well. Approx £46 for 2 soups, 2mains and 2 cokes. Honestly, it was extremely average. Tbh, it looked like a nice place but never lived up to it's own claim coz if this is the best - I feel sorry for Liverpool and China town.

First time visit last night with my 3 sisters. It was fabulous a lovely clean environment with a peaceful ambience, the service was first class we were seated & served very quickly the food was delicious the portions were good too. We found the whole experience very good & we will be back on our next trip to Liverpool. Thank you to all the staff who made us feel very welcome 💜

First time going here the food was very good I put 4/5 for food as the meat dishes were a bit smaller than what you get elsewhere. Service and atmosphere instead was great.

Tried Chy for the first time and it was a lovely experience. The staff were so nice probably the nicest staff in Liverpool. The atmosphere was great and also the food. Only downside is that the mains - sweet and sour, mixed vegetable and three delicacy- were a bit expensive and portion were a bit small. Everything came up to around £73.

The best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten, large selection of drinks and food. Lovely evening, and wasn’t rushed at all. 100% recommend

Just had a brilliant evening at Chy Liverpool to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was amazing and there was so much we had to take some home. The staff are wonderful and so attentive. Big shout out to Barry and Eva who made the evening extra special, thank you. We will be back very soon.

Second visit. Food was not as good as our first visit. Battered chicken chunks were very dry and beef blackbean sauce was a bit different with bland sauce. Chowmein was nice but the beef in was a bit tough with some smell. Pork ribs were very nice. They did not ask if food was okay so no chance to talk to them about the food. We still enjoyed dining out in there and took away the leftover but just my expections were maybe too high. Some plates were not taken away until we finished our desserts and it was not too busy.

Nicely decorated we and soft music playing which was nice but it was very bright. We were offered a table and the table seated after us was served 1st with drinks and complimentary prawn crackers. Finally served. Ordered BBQ ribs and we received honey glaze. I asked for BBQ which the. The manager responded that it was the same thing. I’m sorry I all the years I’ve never been told that!!!! I told him that it’s false advertising as it states BBQ ribs not honey glaze. The waitress even brought them to the table and described them as honey glaze… we were offered another starter but buy this time, I felt deflated and didn’t enjoy the rest of my food.

We had a fantastic meal at The Chy yesterday lunchtime. The sweet and sour prawns were delicious. We have no reservations recommending it to others and we will definitely go back again.

First of all.i don't usually give top marks for anything.Today that changed.I couldn't fault anything at all but I would like to single out the young lady who serve me and my mother. I didn't get her name but we was sitting on table 3 at about 1730hrs.This young lady was outstanding. Can you say a big thank you from us. Cheers all.

Came here on a busy Saturday night as a walk-in party of 3. Very happy when they managed to fit us in. The food, was excellent, well cooked and the rice portions were generous. Can only be described as faultless. Left very "fat and full". All the food was delivered within quick time and very hot. The cocktails have to have a special mention, excellent choice of fruity and unique cocktails, we ended up ordering many just to "try" some new ones. Only minor grumble, was the service. The staff were very friendly, but "clumsiness" is the best way to describe it. Dropped cutlery, accidentally knocking over a drink, etc. While all minor, and laughed off with good customer service, sadly, it did impact our visit minorly. If not for a string of "accidents", it would be a full 5/5.

Celebrated my friends 22nd birthday here tonight, it was amazing from start to finish. Young man served us and he was brilliant and surprised my friend with a birthday dessert :) We didn’t get to thank him personally but he was brill so thank you so much

Wandered for 30 minutes before spotting this restaurant. Walk - in on a Saturday but only had to wait a few minutes. Service was excellent as my daughter has a nut allergy and server checked 3 times with the chef about her choices. Food was excellent, very tasty, we finished everything!

They serve great food here especially aromatic duck and ribs. Prices are good. There is an early bird menu. Service is very good and not rushed like many restaurants like this. The atmosphere and decor is good but it’s next door to an ultra trashy karaoke place that has drunks hanging outside and blasts out music that can be heard in the restaurant. I know that’s not CHYs fault but it’s off putting first impressions

Lønner seg å reservere bord. Bilde fra venners 34 års bryllupsdag Glemmer alltid å ta bilde av maten før tallerken er tom, dessverre.. Har også benyttet matlevering hjem ved flere anledninger. Leverer alltid like god mat, som ved servering i restauranten.

Lovely place. Never ate in the city, night and day difference between my locals and somewhere like this but the price difference isn't too insane. We visited as a group of 3, ordered way too much food (and were advised, this is probably too much) but had it anyway. We took it home and had it the next day as a second dinner, was just as delicious. Staff were friendly and extremely professional (don't take this as the person being cold). We were checked on a couple of times to ensure we were satisfied with our meals, and I felt comfortable enough to say if I was unhappy with anything but to be honest it was all delicious. Thank you for a great service and the chefs for a wonderful meal. Make sure to book ahead of time (even if same day), it fills up fast and you may not get a table, or may be waiting if you turn up unannounced.

First time customers went as my friend booked it for her mum's 80th. Amazing place great service and the food was fantastic, absolutely lovely and delicious 😋. I had the Roasted Char Sui and Broccoli Mmmm beautiful the char Sui wasn't dry cooked to perfection my husband had the Beef Chow Mein just enough on the plate and there was plenty of mushrooms and meat. Will definitely be back again.

Ordered a special fried rice. It was completely without salt, sauce or any spices at all. Plain fried rice. Also didn't expect to see peas in Chinese food.
