A big thank you to Chutneyz staff who went extra mile to prepare me gluten free meals specially the glutenfree bread as am highly tolerant to wheat. Already booked our next table for the weekend So a big thank you guys .

Third time here and was recommended butter chicken and freshly made naan bread by the server . Have to say one of the best indian food I had out of india. Can't wait to try more food items of the menu. Kudos to chef and the waitress !!!

I am extremely disappointed with my second visit to this establishment. The first time I came here with my family, I felt that everything was satisfactory. However, on this occasion, I was looking forward to introducing my friends to this Indian restaurant and trying new dishes. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly poor. The staff seemed visibly annoyed, and their behavior was extremely unprofessional. We ordered lamb, chicken, and prawn biryani, and I also attempted to order beef biryani. Regrettably, they did not have it, but that was not a major issue. However, the way the staff responded was incredibly rude. Once we placed our food order, the service only worsened. The staff member appeared unhappy and served the biryani without any accompaniments such as salad or yogurt. It wouldn't have been a problem if he had politely asked if we wanted any additional items, which would have been charged separately. Additionally, he brought the water at the very end. And the service is too late. There were only 2 tables and not much busy. I saw him just waiting and doing nothing. To make matters worse, we were accompanied by a 4-year-old child, and I had ordered chicken nuggets for him. However, what was served was not chicken nuggets. Despite this disappointment, I politely asked if they could expedite the preparation process as the child was hungry. The staff member's response was a blunt "no." He claimed it would take time, which I understood, but I expected him to be more courteous. His demeanor was incredibly harsh and unfriendly. I am unsure why this was the case. In any case, the food itself was satisfactory, and I have no complaints about it. However, the service was absolutely abysmal. I cannot even give this establishment a single star, and I will not be returning.

I ordered a takeaway which I do frequently and the staff are marvellous can not do enough for you and the food is excellent and so tasty and of high standards and is the same all the time definitely would recommend this establishment to anybody who enjoys good food.

The food was really nice, I had a chicken korma and it was different to other kormas I've had previously, it was much more flavoursome, I will definitely be going back, the lovely guy who served us was very helpful and very polite! I've got nothing that needed improving was totally excellent!

Very good service with excellent food. Not the usual Indian restaurant fare, feels a little more authentic.

If you looking for something more exciting than tikka masala have a lamb Rogan Josh and lamb breyani specially made, weldone chef. Best curry house in Ipswich.

Thank you Chutneyz for being so accommodating to my dietary needs and kindly explaining all the dairy-free menu options that were available to me, there were so many and it was really lovely of you to take the time to do so. The lamb rogan josh was perfectly spiced with melt-in-the-mouth tender lamb. The roti hit the spot too - can’t wait to try all your other dishes! Great value and atmosphere too!

We were visiting Ipswich for the weekend & ate dinner here. The food was presented lovely but sadly disappointing! Onion bahji overcooked & hard, Tarka Dahl watery & very spicy, Butter Chicken also spicy & watery, should be thick & creamy & mild. All food VERY salty. One of our party of 3 was poorly that night & following day( sickness & bad tummy)The best thing were the papadoms! Young lady who served us was pleasant, although I was charged twice for one dish, mistakes happen of course, but seemed put out when I raised it! Our plates etc were still on table when we left. I wouldn't return. Only positive was food was hot( not just warm).

I have been to many Indian restaurants in my time but I can honestly say this is the worst. Food is watery and the decor is chip board with a few pictures hung on it. I would definitely give this one a miss.

Lovely food and really friendly servers. Its very reasonably priced and you get a good portion for what you order. Its the best indian I’ve had in ipswich and I would happily recommend. The poppadoms and mango chutney are really good too!

We always have good food here and it’s one of my favourites in Ipswich. The only downside is the music can be a little loud but it’s still amazing.

Turned up at restaurant without a booking as visiting Ipswich for the derby match tomorrow. They had tables set for work Christmas parties and they had one table for two left which they kindly let us have. The service was excellent very courteous and friendly staff. The food came out hot, it was plentiful, mouthwatering and very delicious. We had starters a main course and dessert. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back again. Thank you so much

I love this place, my favourite Indian restaurant ever. The lunchtime Thali is amazing. Slow cooked lamb main dishes, fish curries, malai kofta and parathas are all highlights on the menu. Always friendly service too. Update a year later: still amazing!

I first experienced Chutneyz at the music event in Christchurch Park. I had a meal at Chutneyz, which was very nice.

Pretty average food. Ordered Chicken Curry and Biryani. Whatever they are selling in terms of Biryani is just travesty. Chicken Curry had hardly 4 pieces. Overall, wouldn't recommend. Would suggest Zaika which is less than a mile away in Town Center.

First time coming here on recommendations. It was a lunchtime so not too busy, really friendly young waitress. Food took a little while but I'm sure it was cooked from scratch. The onion bhaji's were so tasty and the flavour of our curries was wonderful. We will return 😊

I had an excellent meal at ChutneyZ, eating with friends who all agreed that it was the best Indian food we've enjoyed in Ipswich. The setting and atmosphere are pleasant and unpretentious. It is not a fancy restaurant, and does not pretend to be. The decor is simple and comfortable, and the focus and energy have been put into the friendly, attentive service, and the exceptionally good food. The food is authentic, delicious, and very reasonably priced. I enjoyed the best samosa I've had in the UK, and the Lamb Chattinad was exceptional.

Loved the planner Tikka masala, authentic indian taste. Perfect for a tasty Indian meal.

Had mixed reviews from this restaurent so decided to see for ourselves. Small menu but everything on there is delicious. I had onion bhajies to start. They were superb. Different to what I am used to but still superb. I then had butter chicken not too spicy however my husband wanted the same but with more of a bite. Chef came out to see us and advised what to do. Again the result was superb. This is a little known gem. We will defiantly be going back. Very friendly staff. Be prepared for a little wait for your food as it’s cooked fresh and comes out piping hot. Be patient it’s worth the wsit

We requested table for 15 guests to celebrate a Birthday Party. The staff and services were awesome. Food has always been very nice here. I must mention that Shreya is an excellent member of the restaurant, she was very helpful, kind, prompt and organised in her service skills that made managing so many guests quiet easy. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to all.

Non veg platter was low quality undercooked Biryani was Okay

We have been visiting Chutneyz since 2021 and I find it absolutely scrumptious. The owner is so welcoming and the ambience is soothing. We get to hear our favourite Indian music all the time. We have tried almost everything from the menu and it's outstanding. Taste wise I would say it's more than perfect Naan bread absolutely fluffy and buttery dal makhani was buttery smooth loved it and the snacks pani puri and aaloo tikki chat absolutely tantalized the taste buds flavoursome cuisine

Wow! Amazing authentic Indian food. No pressure to eat sweet creamy curries with rice and breads which is what you find in so many Indians. Instead there was loads of starter/small plate options as well as platters. Still curries, rice etc available for those who want it, paneer, vegetarian, fish and meat options. We had a meat and vege platter to share between 3 of us. Tasted divine. Then some of us opted for further small plates, whilst one had a curry with bread. All freshly cooked, amazing spices. Service was great, took plenty of time no rushing us. Only downside was drinks are quite pricey but they were happy to provide tap water too. Will be back.

This is the only authentic Indian restaurant in Ipswich. We ordered Tomato soup ( which was not on the menu). Chef Rahul happily offered us an alternative Tomato Shorba which was amazing ! We ordere Jal Jira for drinks, a unique Indian soft drink. for starters we ordered. Vegetarian, mezze platter, it had excellent taste and variety. For mains we orderedd malai kofta & veg makhani. The tastes were mouth watering. The thin and crispy garlic & coriander naan was perfectly done, so was layered crisp paratha. We finished off with special Vegetable Biryani with unique flavour and taste. Overall a great gourmet dining experience!

I am a fan of chicken biryani but,Today I ordered chicken biryani and it was not the same . Quantity, taste, packaging everything differs. Not good as before. Please maintain the same standard

This is one of two or three authentic Indian restaurants in Ipswich. This is coming from an Indian guy. Most other restaurants are selling you fake Indian food. Keep up the good work.

I was craving for dal tadka and okra so badly and Chutneyz satisfied my craving. Every time I miss home food, this is my go to place and they have never failed me. Their generous portions allowed me to have more than sufficient food for lunch the next day. Thank you Chutneyz for maintaining your quality and standard always. Most importantly for staying true to its taste.

This was the third time I've eaten in this restaurant and I've never been disappointed. The food is incredible, full of flavour. The portions are large but so tasty you over eat! I'm not leaving any of that!

Amazing food, great selection of dishes especially for vegetarians. I've had several takeaways in the past but not eaten in before. Service was good and the staff were friendly. Clean and tidy.

Came with my wife and her family for lunch, the menu is more south indian inspired than most of the other Indian restaurants in Ipswich, having a good selection of veg and non-veg items. I picked the non-veg Thaali which was very tasty, my wifes cousin had the veg Thaali, and was equally happy with it. My wife and her parents shared the allo tikki & samosa chaats, and the paneer frankie (kathi roll), saying they were delicious.

Most waiter seems to be kind of rude! There is no greeting or at least plain smile. Even AI these days have a smile. And food seems to be cooked with lots of flavor enhancers. You often don’t get the taste of actual item ordered.

Average curry, below average service, not asked if food ok, not offered dessert, brought bill before we asked for it almost immediately followed by the appearance of the card machine, won’t return, might as well have gone to Wetherspoons for similar quality food at half...

Worst place to eat your food. Ordered 2 lamb vindaloo and garlic with coriander naa, look at the state of it. There is barely any lamb inside both mainly sauce and naas are completely burned. Called to get replacement but was told they are short...

This is an unassuming place. The decor needs some "refreshment", but...... the food and service are excellent. Closer to authentic cuisine then the usual Anglo/Indian oil filled stuff - fragrant and very well spiced. The service is exceptional. Definitely worth the walk.

To begin with, we love Indian food. However, it comes in different qualities. We (4 Dutchmen) have been sailing from the Netherlands to Ipswich and we decided to treat ourselves with a good Indian dinner. We found ChutneyZ. We loved every dish: top quality. The food was very tasteful, very well prepared and not too spicy. Service was quick, pleasant (in for a joke) and very correct. What demonstrates the quality is the fact that ChutneyZ' takeaway attracted many people with an Indian background. Would someone with an Indian background go to a bad Indian restaurant? We enjoyed ChutneyZ very much and would like to thank the cook(s) for their care for good food.

Brought a takeaway last night from Chutneyz. Usually can’t fault it and have had many amazing meals but the sauces weren’t the same and seemed thick and very gelatinous. Hopefully just a one off.

WHEN WE RAISED ISSUE THEY SAID WE DIDNT CHARGE YOU YET . AND GUY RIPPED THE ORIGNAL BILL WHEN WE SAID THEM TO GIVE THAT US AND CREATED A ANOTHER ONE . FOOD IS NOT LIKE IT USE TO BE . BEHAVIOUR WAS REALLY BAD . NO APOLOGY.I SUGGEST EVERYONE TO CHECK BILL BEFORE PAY.

Unfortunately my partner said he wanted to try Indian. We normally get our food from Holy Cow in London. That is the best Indian for your money 💰 I have been on the toilet since I first ate the food from Chutney z at 3pm yesterday. It won’t stop. Disappointed because we spent £58 to be in and out the toilet constantly afterwards. Only thing chutneyZ is good for is laxative. I just wanted to be frank and honest and I’m being really nice at the same time. Don’t waste your money. And they need to fix their front door 🚪 and now I need the toilet again. So the owner replied saying I’m lying cos they’re not open on Tuesdays. It’s Thursday 27/04 right now as I’m typing… and it says 2 days ago I left review… which was Tuesday. As you can see I said YESTERDAY I got the food so that was Monday nice try though lol xxx I don’t need to do “fake reviews” I don’t have a restaurant competing… the fact that you call me a liar instead of apologising for my bad experience says a lot about you!

My experience at Chutneyz was extremely bad . Someone was screaming from the kitchen we can clearly listen to those words. Food was okay but very noisy.

I recently dined at an Indian restaurant in Ipswich that was recommended to me by a friend. The food was good, with a mix meat starter that I would rate 5 out of 5 stars, and the malai kofta curry and zalfrazie lamb curry, which I would rate 4 out of 5 stars. However, the food did not seem freshly prepared and tasted reheated. Unfortunately, the service was quite poor. We only had contact with the waitress at the beginning when we placed our order and when our drinks and starter were brought to the table, after that we been forgotten. The main course was served by one of the chefs,luckily, who came with two plates on in each hand, which made him unable to clear the table after starter. The cleanliness of the place was also lacking. We initially sat near the toilet and noticed a strong urine smell coming from it. We had to move to another table, and from there, we noticed how dirty the windows were and how the dust had taken over the place. Overall, my dining experience was very poor, and it did not surprise me that the place was empty at that time. I believe that there is a big potential for this restaurant if they improve their cleanliness and staff training.

I reserved my table for 20 people, such a nice place with good music, the food was adorable. It was absolutely fantastic , lovely service, good staff, nothing bad about this place , good recommendation from staffs.

Food was amazing, But staffs not trained properly. One of the staff was very rude.

Disappointing. No vegan options on Menu. Waitress called chef who said vegan menu was lost. He did make us a very sloppy Dahl ( prefer ours thick) and a jalfrezi that was basically tinned sweetcorn and peas.

We have come to this Indian restaurant through looking at the google reviews and have been very satisfied with the food. The food was fresh, well presented and most of all, the pure authentic indian food. I have hardly had biryani anywhere out but it was appreciated much in the reviews so on the very first day of our visit, we have ordered chicken 65 as started and chicken biryani. both dishes were fresh and mouth watering. The biryani was good in portion size for two people. Loved it. other than this we have ordered lassi, which was just alright. we have visited the restaurant for every dinner for out 3 night stay at Ipswich and did not think of going to any other restaurant for food. Next days we ordered chilli, chicken, dal makhani, garlic and butter naan, chicken tikka kabab and biryani again. all of it you can try as they are very delicious and satisfying. The staff has been good, but service was a bit late. I just wonder due to holidays the restaurants was not very crowdy yet the staffs were not attentive to handle few tables. If you are looking for authentic indian food I would definitely recommend you to go to ChutneyZ. if I am anywhere near to Ipswich I would again go to the restaurant for the lovely food. parking: No parking at the site. Best is to park at Athena hall (cheaper) or Duke street car park (costly) Toilet: Yes, available at the restaurant

Pleasant people very good food, pleasantly surprised.

Unfortunately when it comes to indian cuisine this is nothing like it my dish was vary salty with no flavour at all......the chicken65 starter was the same as the chilli chicken only the chilli chicken had a souce on it the sag aloo well just look my pictures......the Only good bit of food was the Naan bread and the 🍺 if your a lover of Indian food this is not the place for you trust me....

Authentisches indisches Essen und sehr nette Bedienung - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und haben exzellent gegessen! Den Empfehlungen des Service-Personals nach hatten wir milde und scharfe Gerichte bestellt, die sowohl lecker, als auch authentisch zubereitet waren - ein absoluter Hochgenuss. Second time I’ve eaten here recently and both times the food has been excellent. Best Garlic and coriander naan I’ve had in a long time. Great service and not expensive.

Best Indian in Ipswich! Staff are lovely and food is incredible every time. Would recommend this place to everybody!!!
