Chutneys in Leicester

Distgusting. Tub full of oil. Even the rice was covered in oil. The parathas were the frozen ones. Never again. Waited almost 2 hrs.

Do not order food from here I waited 3 hours for a delivery that did not come they were rude unhelpful they took my money I wish I had read the reviews first .. I wouldn’t even give it 1 star and Deliveroo were not helpful either.. I found out my food was in the delivery guys car for 2 hours..unacceptable to say the least

Terrible delivered meal. Cold curry’s… rock hard chips. Nan bread was sloppy and the rice really watered down. We only live a mile away so no excuse for the warm meal. Also got really bad stomach ache the next day. Avoid this place .

Ordered at half 8 and 2 hours later the food arrived, all absolutely cold not even luke warm was all cold. Vile would never order again joke of a place do yourself a favour and close down!!

Order for delivery. Estimated time 30 minutes. Showed up after around 90 minutes, cold and wrong, no veggie options, a lot missing. Called up and got "not my problem I just make the food" So I'm going hungry and significantly out of pocket. Given the level of service and quality, I suspect this place is a scam designed to fleece people out of their hard earned money. Avoid avoid avoid!

After waiting for an hour and a half as the time was being pushed back, fair enough may be busy. Order came out of 10 items only the rice and the masala matched, the veggie main was lamb so could not eat.. the rest of the order not delivered at all. Called the restaurant and after hearing vile shouting on the phone got told call deliveroo as it’s not their problem and hanged up. Horrible place, poor food and no customer service whatsoever, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Terrible food watery,salty,missed a main off couldnt get address right never again. Really trusted this take away not even a sorry

The food we ordered from Chutney was horrendous! Absolutely disgusting! Please save your money and go elsewhere! I left an honest review on the JustEat app and they have deleted - along with many other customer reviews. They deliver the food late - over an hour late and don’t apologise for the inconvenience. The curries turn watery and the naan is from another planet - it’s gross. I feel robbed! Their customer service is horrendous. I hate leaving bad reviews but they deserve to be given this one. (1 star because I had to in order to leave a review).

Me and my boyfriend ordered from here twice. The first time I ordered garlic rice which came as onion I should’ve complained but decided it against it was ridiculous as someone clearly doesn’t know how to cut onion as it was left excessively long about chocking me in the process of trying to eat it.I thought busy night and decided to let it slide I then ordered from here again as everywhere else was closed my boyfriend who never complains told me his chicken tikka masala the most basic thing on the menu was bland and tasted of nothing. My chicken bhuna which I know well , as I order this dish every time, was really dark coloured almost burnt and tasted really spicy meaning I couldn’t even taste my food.To make matters worse we both had bad stomachs the next day me even being sick.Absolutely grim wouldn’t recommend at all we won’t be ordering again should’ve read the reviews first.

Just had our dinner delivered, cold starter, chips so burnt they were more crisps, poppadoms not great. Hubbies chicken tikka was cold. We only live a minute up the road as well. Will be trying somewhere else in future

I ordered chicken korma from this place through uber eats, with boiled rice and garlic naan. The korma and rice were nice, and it arrived in great time, unlike what the other reviews suggest, however the naan had some solid bits in it. While there are definately better places to order from for a similar price, this place isn't as bad as what the other reviews suggest.

Yikes!!! Guys, you just need to have a look at the reviews to see what’s going on. Unfortunately I won’t be ordering from here again, the delivery time is unacceptable, I asked them for realistic delivery time, it was still an hour late. This is the 2nd time it’s happened, I’ll go back to the Curry Junction. Shame as the food is fine, that’s what the 2 stars are for. Cheerio chaps...

This is an official complaints letter. This will be sent to the Leicester mercury and consumer advice line in 7 days to await your feedback. I ordered my food at 19.40 and its now 21.52. this is not acceptable as I was told by your own website order will be with you in 45 mins. I even rang them after 90 minutes to find out what was happening, and he said its busy. I’m sorry but in this one case the customer is right. A simple text to keep me updated a hint anything would have been great but nothing at all this is now the 4th time. The food is the best the customer service is the worst. Even a call after I ordered to say it will be delayed would you still like this order. Then I could have made an informed decision. Left in the dark like this says to me you are not that bothered. Food came at 21.52 I even tipped the delivery guy as this is not his fault, he is just doing his job as you have laid out for him… With thanks Craig Jones.

Late food, rang them to find that they had not even made a order 1hr 15mims after I ordered it, was told about 30mins more, had to repeat my address around 15times and still kept telling me a different house number. Now been well over 2hrs, spoken to the shop 5 times and still not here, I've now had to cancel it and order a pizza. Bloke on the telephone sounded out his face and had no idea of what was ordered anyway. Disgraceful service Never again

Ordered our food at 5.15pm and said would arrive at 5.50pm to which it didn't arrive till 7.30pm. tried many times to get in touch with the restaurant only being met with there answer phone message. Food arrived luke warm and could easily have been passed as store bought food. Staff was rude once I had managed to get hold of them failing to acknowledge the issue I had. Don't recommend this restaurant and Order at your own displeasure.

Do not order from here . Ordered online & order was cancelled 2 hours later when everywhere else was shut.

Ordered food at 7:30 turned up after 10:30, 2 hours later than originally said. Rang chutneys about 10:20 because latest arrival time said 10:10, they said the food had just left. Ridiculous service please do not use this place, the food wasn’t even that good...

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT Absolutely agree with the reviews below. I ordered a takeaway for my family and after being robbed off for 2 and a half hours it still wasn’t even being prepared. Terrible.

Every time we have ordered from here it’s is consistently very very late in fact last time was over 2 hours late but had paid online so couldn’t cancel it, was ringing to see where it was and they started ignoring my phone, absolute joke!

Don’t waste your money. I had the chicken dopiaza and it was so watery. Looked and tasted equally as disgusting. Even the boiled rice was a let down.

Ordered food from these cowboys on Just Eat. I ordered at 7pm and the offer was confirmed by email. It was supposed to take an hour. Phoned them at 9pm to find out where order was but just got engaged tone. Called again and again....

All food was cold and didn't taste like an authentic curry, mango chutney had ketchup in it and when tried contacting them continuously for a week just keep getting told that the manager isn't here to deal with it and I never received a refund
