Kebabish leicster belgrave road in Leicester

Very filling dont order too much over all mediocre take away not very flavourful but the meat is good

I am writing this whilst waiting for my takeaway. I have used this takeaway for as long as I can remember, I came in to ask for a kebab roll and was greeted by a rude woman wearing a yellow Punjabi dress. I travel over 200 miles from Leicester, and always pop in here to enjoy a kebab roll and nihari. I explain the situation and ask if they will pack salad and sauce separately and they always oblige and appreciate that I go out of my way to eat here. She rudely told me that there would be a £1.50 charge for this service. So I told her not to bother. She then tells her colleague about this conversation in Urdu, as if I wouldn't understand, but they were mistaken. They swore about me in Urdu. £1.50 on top for a £3 kebab roll! That's extortion. When she rudely came to serve me and give me my roll, I asked if it had changed hands, so she clocked that I wasn't happy, so she told me yes the previous owners were loss making, so it was sold. Explains everything I suffered, shame she doesn't realise that bad customer service will also make her loss making. 20 odd years, and won't be stopping here again.

All three of us asked for a chicken fillet burger and chips. We were given a giant chicken nugget in a burger bun. When we told the woman that it wasn’t what we ordered she spoke to us very rudely. No customer service skills whatsoever. I’d give this place a zero but I obviously can’t on here, avoid unless you want to be spoken to like you’re stupid 🙄

First of all i dont really understand the bad reviews beacuse this restraunt is the best place to go great food and pretty much all rounder recommended any day!!

I always get the kebab roll with a portion of chips from here. Their kebabs are full of flavor and their chilli sauce takes it up a notch! Never had any problems with the preparation time or order therefore am pleased with the service.

I’ve been again and I got to say it’s amazing this restaurant is perfect I don’t know why the bad reviews but definitely would recommend it

This restaurant is so good the food is absolutely delicious I don't why reviews are that bad trust me this restaurant is not bad at all I have been to loads of restaurants in leister and this is probably the best one go here if you want good food

Simply amazing can't beat it I don't know why it's so low rated because the food is mouth watering. If ur going they've sure to try the butter chicken it's so good.

The food is so good now I want to go again I have been to so many restaurants in Leicester and this is probably the best one I absolutely recommend you to go there

Firstly after reading the reviews was very reluctant too try, but was pleasantly surprised fresh cooked mixed grill which so juicy and tasty.

Just a update on this place, top Nosh, can't complain, the lamb biryani is highly recommended, my partner ordered the chk tikka masala, oh so creamy.

I have been using this restaurant for years, but recently, the staff just don't know how to run the place. They had an inspection, so they just ignored all the customers who were awaiting serving. 45 minutes to get a kebab roll! Recently, kebab roll ordered and when i got it home, the sauce container was half empty and the meat was barely cooked. Was slimy and greasey. Bad stomach followed. I also ordered nihari, look at my picture to see how much meat they didn't give. They provided bone and a bowl of sauce. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

Cheese nan with no cheese inside sprinkled on top chips from aldi an 3 pound for salad he said, very lucky i paid disgusting

For the worse lunch I have ever had, it was over priced and the food was really really poor! Chips cost £2 & tasted bad! The tikka role was the worse I have ever tasted! They should take a trip to Manchester's kebabish to learn a thing or two... but I can't see this place being open for more then a year!! Unless they have customers who pay for tasteless food.Disguisting!!

don't eat here the place is scruffy and the food isn't up to much and my nann bread was cremated and had black bits on it and I was looking forward to that sticky tables to and I won't be coming back for more of the sametry this place if you like this sort of food but beware the area where it is is a mad house area and driving to get to here well its ok if you like seeing someones bumper a lot and wearing your brake pads out for burnt food

Awful place dirty no pride taken in looking after the place. Tables and floor dirty . Windows dirty. Toilets filthy. Food awful.Do not go there.

Price they charge is different and greater then listed menu price. Surely that is not legal. Staff not helpful and blames the manager

Have visited Kebabish on Belgrave Road and the other branch on Uppingham Road. The Uppingham Road branch is better.Food here was poor, and the interior could do with a makeover. Service is quite slow, and the food ordered wasn't very tasty at all. Overall, I'd recommend going elsewhere if you're after good quality food.

Food was really tasty we had mix grill in starter and Nehari, Ch Karahi, Tawa Lamb in main course. Whole family loved it and will go their again.I wold also recommend this place to others as wellTheir chef mrs Rana was very hamble anf nice guy

i use to love kebabish, but its just so bad, the food is bad, dont taste great. the atmosphere is so horrible, its so dead, you dnt even wana stay there. kebabish in star city, manchester is 100 times better, why cant you bring that type of quality here? they need to refurbish kebabish at ,melton and uppingham rd, they could do better with more variety of food choices. on the bright side waiter is nice and service was good.

kebabish is really nice, food is decent too. as i always go out of leicester branches. leicester branch is so dull, poor atmosphere, feels like a funeral. the owners really need to change the place inside and make more lively.

I always stay close to belgrave road everytime i am in leicester juat to visit kebabish every evening. Their lamb chops and lamb tikka is just too good.

Horrible food, horrible service & the place is needs a makeover. Coming all the way from Manchester too this place really disappointed me. Not to mention overly priced too for uncooked food. Won't be visiting again

Food was really good, well cooked and very fresh. Ordered chicken wings with chilli chips. Mains was naan, chicken curry and keema. Again very nice dishes. Service is very slow. If your looking for good food then it's worth the wait.

Its not pleasant nor amazing in fact instead of getting big windows for show at least get one where air exchange takes place because believe me its not nice sitting in a sauna nicely dressed. A few sensible tables would be beneficial for ground floor because not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to walk . Believe me i do not like working out before a meal it makes my blood boil. The dark colours and textures make me feels as though ive come to see my great aunt in a memorial. Being a food lover you want to be somewhere where you are comfortable and in there i feel all sad and glum. In my opinion i think it was a waste of time opening a upper floor because believe i doubt a dog would run up there no offence its just a bit boring and kind of dead I'm very sorry to be talking about you in this manner but as you can see i have a big heart for food and this basically is my lifestyle to write about the world and what it has to offer.

Kebabish always known for their grilled food,even some curries are nice try Mutton karahi and kabab platter,you wont be disappointed.

If your after a quick eat...also minus the "thrill of the grill" taste, this could well fit the bill. Took a little over thirty minutes to order Kebab & chicken starters from the tatty, sticky menus.....looked around and a pretty empty restaurant. Never mind food arrived but tasted little bland and none of the Kebabish signature taste that's synonymous with these restaurants. (they add too much flour to bind with the kebab...& the chicken had no taste)Ok, fed family of three for £20 with starters, naan and drink, however could have done better elsewhere!P.s this branch needs new menus, tables and a lick of "long lasting paint" ........No! never used their toilet too.

Food is good, but the place is soo grimey! The menus are torn, and sticky. The staff are dirty and dripping with sweat and the toilets...just visit with your own loo roll and hand wash! This grime theme runs through the place, from the tables to the chairs.On all accounts I'm not clean freak but this place made me feel uncomfortable and feeling like I needed to have a shower straight after. I wouldn't even recommend this place a visit to anyone who's never been for curiosity reasons until they employ a proper cleaner.Save your money folks.

Workers look at you like`what you doing here`. Not a pleasant experience.Will defintatly not be going there again.

We been this place before but I think they have got new management. It was ok. But could be better. They have got another branch that is more better..

food was ok not all that. the biriyani was nice but the glasses n seats and the rest of the place was unclean.

I myself work in a restaurant up North and was on a family trip to Leicester. After deciding where to eat, me and my wife chose kebabish seen as though it's quite popular for its name. Although they are franchised around U.K the standards are not the same every restaurant. We went it and was surprised by the atmosphere & surrounding. The menus looked out of date and needed replacing. It didn't feel like a place where we felt comfortable to enjoy our food. After waiting for the food to arrive, if was sizzling hot and came at perfect time. We couldn't complain about the food. The staff seemed nice but very humble. I think this place could with a refurbishment and a fresh start to maintain its name. It definitely deserves a chance. Overall food fantastic but atmosphere was dead. Needs livening up a little.

This restaurant is the personification of bad Service. It is also very dirty and the waiting staff need to learn how to smile and some decent manners. Food was ok though nothing to shout about. I would rather pay a little more and get good surroundings and decent service. Chefs look like they have waltzed in off the street. No chef hats or aprons. The girl who served us was also same girl cleaning the tables without washing hands between the two duties. It seriously felt like I had walked in to a hostel or shelter organization. I would NOT recommend this joint at all.

I have no idea why I went in there in the first place never again. It was awful the place was dirty. Ordered king prawns it was out of date taste. The curry was off. Horrible experience I hav ever had.

I went in and a man in a tracksuit with sauce on his face & shirt served me.he looked like he hadnt showered in a week.Then he mumbled an I couldnt make out what he was saying. Tgen he raised is voice and started grillling my chicken.Then a lady came in an they both looked at me a laughed because I was with a black guy.

After eating at several kebabish restaurents around england, the huge disappointment at the shabby,dirty and unhygienic place in leicster.The food took forever, the tables and floors were dirty,we were given a highchair for our child,although cleaned by the waitress,was filthy and needed a deep clean.the staff looked dirty and generally unkempt.the dishes we ate ,we have eaten at other kebabish and were poor in taste and quality.I wanted to cancel the order, my husband felt embarrased to cancel and leave.May i suggest to the owners and management , that regular deep cleans and maintenance is required ,should you expect people to eat there, more staff training on the quality of food and staff should have uniforms which are clean.I would not eat there again, as i was apalled.
