Very tasty food would recommend

The quantity received was less than half container. When we called restaurant about this, the owner was rude and was not ready to compensate or send another to replace our order. Pathetic service. I will never order again from this restaurant. Complaint lodge with Just-Eat as missing order as there was no other option to highlight less quantity supplied.

Food was pretty much cold. Main was a total rip off, container was barely half full and had 4 pieces of chicken in it, and £8.95! Absolute joke. Completely tasteless, could actually taste the grains of rice stronger than the curry. Naan was hard and cold, not sure how it was all so Luke warm as it turned up pretty quickly to be fair. Definitely wont be going back. The search for a decent curry in Watford continues!

Absolutely 💯 % awful , small portions,more gravy than you could imagine, rice was foul and obviously a day old,curries tasted rank , not fresh definitely, had a mouthful of everything and through it in the bin , will never go there again !!!!!

We had a bit of an issue finding this place on the map we had but that was the only thing wrong with the whole experience. Very quiet, pleasant staff, good menu, delicious food. It busied up and there were a few regulars in. Takeaway orders were coming too so it must be a popular place - we can see why. Thank you

Never had such a light takeaway curry (i.e. not swimming in ghee). Delivered way before the estimated time, and with some free pakora! Marvellous. The salad was not so good (cabbage?!), but the rest of the food was very nice. Tasted very fresh. Shall def order from again.

Was ok at best, my medium spicy chicken tikka masala was hotter than a hot jalfrazi? Not sure

Tikka and onions were burnt, mushroom Bhaji was like soup and the salad for tikka was only lettuce and a lemon. Overall, incredibly disappointed.

Not worth the price ordered kerala fish curry the quantity did not match the price,ordered mix grill for 14£ not worth no taste at all the parathas was not cooked properly never gonna order

We've ordered from this restaurant several times and it's been fantastic every time. The food always arrives on time, piping hot and absolutely delicious. The staff are also wonderful. I recommend Chutneys to anyone who wants to have a great meal!

Extremely good customer service. First went through Uber eats yet disappointed us hugely as our order never turned up. We then contacted directly and we received our food asap. After problems with Uber eats’ customer service we will only contact this restaurant directly and will order food often as food was delicious.

We have just moved to the area and wanted to try out somewhere local. Husband is allergic to gluten but this wasn’t an issue here - in fact they went above and beyond, adding rice bread to our order at no cost. The portions aren’t huge but certainly enough, we had 1 meat and 2 veggie mains between us and was the perfect amount. It was high quality and fresh and we couldn’t believe it cost just £15! Even the chutneys were fresh tasting rather than the gloopy artificial ones you often get. We will be back!

I dont normally give a review but the food was outstanding, the delivery was spot on. Piping hot and not greasy at all. If I had one criticism it would be the chicken was very slightly over done but other than that out of this world. Defo recomend

We decided to try Tazza which is local to us to show support rather than our normal Indian takeaway. The menu looked interesting and the service was good and delivered in about half an hour. The dishes were very disappointing, very bland, not much chicken and very small portions only half filling the containers. The salad comprised of 1 slice of cucumber and 2 cherry tomatoes and lettuce. It was also quite expensive and we thought that before we saw the food. I had previously been in to the restaurant to eat and had enjoyed the food. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Lovely meal but it is quite expensive, but then I think all takeaways have gone up in price since lockdown.

From the old run of the mill Chutney’s, to Taaza. A greatly improved food offering. Really tasty. The young waiter was really lovely too.

I was completely blown away today. The old Chutneys had grown tired and very average. Taaza is like a phoenix from the ashes. Brand new decor, and more importantly, a fresh new menu. And what’s more the menu is executed perfectly. The food was simply amazing. And I don’t mean bog standard amazing. The food is high end amazing. Tasty, well presented. It has been a very long time since I had Indian food this good. You have to try the sardine starter. The biriani is made properly with a pastry sealed lid. Monk fish curry delicious. Dahl as it should be. This place has had care and love injected back into it and it shows massively. Well done to the team. If you can keep this standard up you will blow away the competition. Amazing. Folks try this place. Best in Watford at the very least.

Really delicious fresh meal. The lamb biryani was fragrant and the lamb was soft and tender. Tasty black daal and spinach/potato side dishes. Lovely prawn puri and roti. Nothing was greasy or stodgy. All arrived hot. Will definitely order again!

We had a takeaway, it took a long time to come and when it did it was cold and tasted of nothing. All the dishes looked the same and very runny sauce

Food not very warm and 2 of the mains the containers only half full.Butter chicken sauce was very runny.Both nans were tasty although they were also barely warm.Very disappointing as have eaten at the restaurant and loved it. Would not recommended during lockdown as prices high for what you get and delivery man wore no gloves or mask.Food delivered in an open carrier bag.No thermal bag visible.🙁

the food was awful the meat was poor quality fatty and full of bones or it was not cooked properly,the mixed grill has no flavour and the portions were skimpy which was a good thing considering the food it was my first and only time i will ever eat from here and it was very expensive for what i actually got ,the tandor chicken looked like grilled chicken and it was very pink inside sorry but its a hard no to this one

Food was lovely, chilli paneer is hard to get, and theirs was delicious. We were all really pleased to find a decent delivery service particularly during Covid 19 lock down. Plus driver took every precaution to keep both himself and us safe.

Food was okay but the restaurant really needs to step up there overall image. For example the driver had my food in a Sainsbury's bag for life. However the food was good. Still alot of room for improvement though.

Ordered takeaway from Deliveroo and it was late because the drivers kept cancelling or some technical issues with deliveroo. So someone from the restaurant called me letting us know that the order has been ready for long time and they also gave us free samosas even though it wasn’t there fault. Very nice:)

Takeaway took around 50 minutes to arrive. Was warm when arrived had to re heat. Food was quite nice had better.

Ordered for 8:30pm for myself and friends, arrived 7:50pm before anyone arrived. It was redelivered at 8:30pm (great service). The portion sizes for the 1/2 chicken and other meat dishes seemed a bit small with majority sauce and not too full. Worth a try on a large discount, but I'm going to try other places before reordering.

We have just ordered our first and last takeaway from chutneys. The takeaway arrived 30mins after it said it would arrive. When it did arrive it was just about Luke warm. The samosas were cold. The lamb tikka in the vindaloo was tough and gristly and the keema naan was soggy and tasteless. The chicken was tender though.

Wow! Fantastic food which arrived ahead of schedule. Delicious and succulent pieces of meat mixed within fragrant flavours. Spectacular I say. I most certainly will order from here again. If I was asked what could be improved my reply would be “nothing, this is top class, perhaps even first class” Driver who delivered the food was also extremely caring and supportive with the delivery. Well done!

I’m really disappointed. My food was delivered at 20.05, despite my delivery time being 20.45. This completely messed up the joy of putting a child to bed and being greeted by a nice curry. My food was stone cold, despite being delivered so early. My order was missing 1.5l of Diet Coke and 3 poppadoms that I ordered (£4.30 in total of a £31.50 order). I am really appreciative of a good takeaway, but given stone cold food arrived inconveniently early with 13.6% of my order missing... really disappointed :(

Always brilliant, always on time or early, accommodating to our dietry requirements. This is our favourite local take away.

All the currys were watery and had white lumps in them, came luke warm, rest of it was fine but dont think will order again from here

Discovered this place via the tastecard website and have visited several times now. The food is great and the servers are lovely and attentive. We always get starters and mains with naan and rice and its been so yummy every time! I love this place and cant recommend it more ☺

When I lived in Watford I went here all the time. First visit in a few years. Very disappointing. One guy seemed to be serving, taking phone orders and cooking. It took an hour from ordering the starters to them arriving. They were ok, but one was a bit chewy. There were long hairs on the table and in my lamb madras. Another one was brought out, but I just didn’t fancy it all after pulling a hair from my mouth. The guy said it’s because they order the rice from America... whatever that means. For the mains we had dirty plates and one of them was cold. The staff didn’t really seem to care much and still charged us full for the whole meal. I don’t think I’ll be going back. Another blacklisted Indian in Watford.

Local restaurant to me but only occasionally use as I rarely eat this type of food. Picked up onion bhajis, chicken dopiaza & rice. Food was very good, surprisingly so.

This is a small restaurant (seating about 50 to 60) on outskirts of Watford. Owner is friendly and service good. however food is mediocre and very typical of Bangladeshi restaurants. we asked for chicken tikka and got big pieces of boiled chicken is sweetish masala. Mixed veg was overcooked, sag paneer a dish was disappointing. Nans were excellent.

A quiet evening probably due to the hot weather..but the service was very friendly and the food delicious. And excellent value for money. Definitely worth a visit

Always went here when i lived in Watford. Good food and the staff are really pleasant Parking can be tricky.

Very good quality food and friendly greeting on pick up. BUT three issues unfortunately... 1. One dish was extremely watery/liquidy which collected on plate. 2. Order was cooked and sitting ready 25 mins before requested collection time and this was at a quiet time early evening. 3. Asked for peshwari naan instead of plain with set meal (40p difference on menu) and suggested they could deduct "one or both cans of drink" as a swap if necessary. Surprised that they deducted both cans of drink (menu value £2.00). Because of that probably won't order from again.

Lovely curries enjoyed by us - good portions. And tasty sauces. Only minus point for runny chutney on side and yeasty smelling naans, but I would definitely order there again.

Just had a meal delivered and was really looking forward to it. The last time I ate a Chutneys it was great. This time the onion bhajis were hard ( I like them crispy but also like my teeth to stay intact) the salmon shashlik was over cooked and dry and I'm pretty sure the salmon was actually trout. Not impressed, I could have over cooked the fish and bhajis quite easily myself for a quarter of the price!

Should have taken more notice of reviews. hour and half delivery time. popadoms stale. food was literally swimming in oil, had to drain the food to make it edible. was meant to be chicken tikka jalfrazi but was just plain chicken. tandoori chicken wasn't bad at all, and the taste flavours were ok, but would never order again from this place due to the shocking delivery time, and the oil content of the food.

food was ok, food wasn't marked very well as to what it was, coconut bread was very bland and very very little meat inside the keema nan. popadoms weren't to great either, our order was wrong ordered a chicken tikka masala and got a chicken korma instead, driver was very polite & helpful!

Very quick delivery and awesome food

Everything was hot but it was rather tasteless. I ordered a dansak, should be spicy and a little sweet...in fact it tasted of boiled dhal without any spices at all...just red in colour. Really disappointed. Food did arrive quickly and the delivery guy was very polite.

I will not order again. The king prawn puri was tasteless. The prawn vindaloo, very saucy, a few prawns and 2 pieces of potato, also not hot at all, I have had hotter masalla, also lacking in flavor.. Garlic naan was very thin, cold and soggy when it arrived. Poppadoms, have had better. On a positive note, they do deliver later than most Indians and the delivery guy was friendly, so an extra star for the delivery.

Normally love Chutneys and recommend to others. This was the worst curry I have ever had. Watery, over spiced and bland. Really disappointed.

Not that impressed to be honest. Breads were good and my biryani was nice but all the other dishes were average at best.
