Best breakfast in Lincoln, is the place to go and with a first class service. Now the only place in Lincoln that I go whhen I want a Full English Breakfast.

Generally the food has been reasonable, however on this occasion it was not. The waitress were too busy on their phones to ask if everything was ok. On top of this my wife asked for the pate to be removed from her meal instead they chopped it up and mixed it into her meal. No offer of discount very poor service.

Went for breakfast very greasy and over priced not enjoyable won’t be going back did not enjoy it and bit to much grease not value for money much better places to go at half the price

Won't be having a breakfast here again unless they learn to cook a breakfast and be polite to customers!!! Cannot believe they've got any good reviews.

After a long wait the food was served up cold and undercooked. The waiting staff were pleasant and efficient but the food was terrible. Didnt eat it and the staff immediately offered to take the charge for food off the bill.

Stopped here for breakfast and decided on the traditional fry-up, and very nice it was too. The breakfast came with tomato and baked beans but I said I didn't want either of these and was asked if I'd like something else instead (this rarely happens) and I asked for another hash brown. Very friendly young lady working there and she was kept busy as there were a lot of customers coming and going.

Have you ever seen scrambled eggs bounce? I have today. Overcooked to the point of splitting, salmon on a dry stale bagel. Egg sandwich on brioche instead of normal bread. We just sent the food back and went elsewhere.

When coming in, they are on there phones we automatically said Morning politely. No greeting back. We was unsure weather we needed to order at the till or if someone was coming to us to place the order. All we was getting is dirty looks like we are rubbish. When receiving our breakfast there was no black pudding no mention of it not being in stock. No Lincolnshire sausages chipolatas instead all together very bland. Wouldn't go again.

Had full English breakfast at lunchtime today ( breakfast menu served all day) Food was delicious and a great selection of quality ingredients. Staff were pleasant and friendly and working really hard as the place was very busy. Will definitely visit again!

Visited on a Saturday morning for brunch, place was very busy due to its location on Lincoln high street but a table was available. Service was quick but we did not feel rushed. Food was very good and the menu was extensive A little pricey but this reflects the location

Sorry so late with the review. Best ham, egg and chips in the City. Huge portion. Had it twice. Left some twice. Very competent lady runs a tight ship. Sorry, my photography is rubbish but thick, large slice of ham under the eggs.

Overall a poor experience. Member of staff checking her phone and nails ?? My scrambled egg looked anaemic. My wife's sausages were overdone and her bun was a brioche - not mentioned on menu ? Coffee was hot and wet but no strength. Why no poached eggs available ? They had obviously run out of brown bread as somebody went out to get some nearby, bit unprofessional to see this. Sadly won't be returning

A very pleasant surprise, the location was "found by chance". Menu was a nice selection. Food plentiful and nicely presented. Staff very polite and courteous, and great value for money. Thank you for making our visit to Lincoln a nice experience.

We always loved using churchills everytime we visited Lincoln but our latest was a bad visit.When entering the wattress mumbled something about sit any where ,but was more interested in her mobile phone.The place looked grubby.Breakfast was reasonable but it looked like the toast was in the toaster for 5 seconds.Please if you intend to run a business please put a bit of love into it.With the economy being what it is at the moment people will only return to places they get the best service.

You can't always find a decent gluten free breakfast as generally they substitute certain items, often sausages. Here, they had gluten free bread, and the breakfast included 2 delicious local sausages, bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, egg and hash browns! Reasonable priced too. You can also have a lot of other items like avocado on toast with gf bread. Recommend!

We visited the city of Lincoln and Churchill’s Restaurant whilst on route to North Yorkshire in a planned break to our journey. We had an afternoon to explore the city and arriving by car, had used the park & ride system to reach the Cathedral area. Having passed by the cathedral and castle areas of the city we descended Steep Hill and was looking for a place to get a cup of tea and a snack. We passed by Churchill’s and thought it looked welcoming so went in. The restaurant has a fairly comprehensive menu but we were taken by the slice of Lincolnshire plum loaf which came with either jam or cheese. Between us we ordered both the jam and cheeses versions and shared them. For a drink we had a nice cup of tea. We both enjoyed our visits here and refreshed from our pit stop here we continued our exploration of the city by heading on to the river Witham and Brayford Pool.

Visited this place yesterday and was absolutely disappointed. To start with got our drinks, glasses and cutlery. Glasses weren’t very clean and I had to scrape bits of dried food of my fork but thought it probably gets washed in the dishwasher wich isn’t that precise. Then we received our food- steak salad. It was definitely the worst salad I’ve ever attempted to eat. starting from the steak- cheap meat, very chewy and tasteless, salad looked fresh but don’t get fooled that was only on the top, bottom was full of leaves that looked awful and there’s no chance they would get to that state on my plate. It clearly wasn’t fresh to start with. I tried eating it but all I could smell is that smell when you open a bag of salad that was in the fridge for too long. Barely any dressing on it. Bread was the only thing that was eatable but still not worth nearly £30 for two.

Having used Churchills in the past for lunch when in town I was expecting a higher standard than we got this week. It took them 50 minutes to take our order, the table they gave us was not clean and when asked to clean it it took them ten minutes to clean it. The salad I had was bland and uninteresting, it would have been better as ham, pate and bread with some salad on the side. The children's macaroni cheese was sloppy, their cucumber & carrot sticks were more like logs for little mouths. The only saving grace were the milk shakes. Not somewhere I will be rushing back to.

Been here many times and slowly watched it go down hill. Tatty inside, tables broken, chairs on their last legs. The breakfast was ok. The bacon was nice, beans and hash browns ok. The sausages were very poor quality and the mushrooms out of a tin. It used to be so good, but corners are now being cut and i won't be back.

Popped in on a hot day for a cooked breakfast and coffee. Tables outside but it was a bit hot to sit in the sun, so we went inside. Felt initially a bit wary of the enclosed space, but soon realised the tables were set apart and the waitress was cleaning regularly. Latte and orange juice came with my normal breakfast and my daughter had a gluten free mini breakfast which she was very pleased with. Bacon, sausage, egg, beans, tomato , gf toast. All well cooked and on a hot plate! Attentive waitresses and good music soundtrack! All cost £13. We will definitely visit again!

Popped into Churchill's this weekend, have only ever walked past before but decided to go in for a coffee. It was clean and tidy and the staff were helpful. We had coffee, tea and cream scone each. The coffee and tea were nice and hot, only issue was the dribbley tea pot. The scones, i think it was the nicest I've had, warmed and with butter jam and cream, couldn't fault, lovely! We won't be walking past again when we need refreshments, we'll definitely be back. XX

Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. Very clean and hygienic. Best meal me and my family have had since reopening restaurants after lockdown. Great prices, just an overall great experience, would highly recommend.

1st time going into Churchills, can highly recommend great friendly staff ,excellent service during the present covid restrictions . Food was presented nicely,nice and hot,great value would highly recommend, definatley will be going back .

Dropped in for breakfast on our 1st day in Lincoln was not disappointed. Absolutely amazing breakfast hot, delicious, full of flavour accompanied by hot toast butter and tea or coffee. Truly amazing value for money and extremely pleasant staff who were quick to serve. Will definitely return when back visiting Lincoln. Well done a credit to you all . Ordered a small breakfast which definitely was not small. Had a cappuccino with it and very good value. Will return. Very fresh.

Dropped in at Churchills for Breakfast and enjoyed our visit. Hubby had the classic breakfast and I went for Pancakes with Bacon and maple syrup. We both asked for the bacon to be well done and it was just how we like it. Decent cup of tea, friendly staff and we would visit again.

Just slipped in for coffee and sandwiches having just been for a visit to the Cathedral . Coffee was ok but the sandwich we got was so overpriced and not to our liking . Service was substandard - never coming back .

Breakfast at 9.00 am Sunday morning while staying at a hotel round the corner. Friendly welcome from Sharalin (my apologies if that's misspelt). Service in double quick time, food piping hot and really tasty. Great selection and lovely bread used for the toast!. Great price, great food and great service. We will visit again next time we are in Lincoln.

We always pop in here when in Lincoln for a spot of breakfast. The £8.99 big breakfast is great value and very tasty. Service was fast and friendly. Would highly recommend!

We went to Churchills for brunch after reading the reviews for gluten free options, a dietary requirement for coeliac disease. The menu is extensive and I was surprised to find the tge gf menu was large too.I ordered the gf classic breakfast, it was rather large and I couldn't eat it all. It was well cooked and presented and great value for money. Lovely staff, attentive, courteous and friendly. I would highly recommend the place.

Occasionally I fancy a full breakfast and either can't be bothered to make it myself or don't have all the ingredients, so decide to go out for one. When I do I come here.The "gourmet breakfast" is great value for money at £8.99 for 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 hash brown, fried egg, mushrooms, beans, tomato, black pudding, 2 rounds of buttered toast, juice and a hot drink. Everything is beautifully cooked and tasty, and the service is polite and efficient.

Having come to dine of a lunch twice with friends, it has all been really nice, fresh & good quality!! Servings are generous along with pricing & a good selection to choose from.

Ate here with a few friends, not my first time however, other friends were here for their first!! It was a nice day, staff friendly with a smile & helpful towards the elder member of the group. Service was quick & professional. Foods were of great proportion, 4/5 of us couldn't finish, though the foods were nice & flavoursome. Though I found the chips a little under done. Not the worst I've had but could do better. Plenty of foods to choose from, good pricing too. Friends said they'd like to return!! RECOMMENDED Thanks to all staff

Only ever had breakfast here - reasonably priced. Would be better if the vegetarian breakfast came with vegetarian sausages rather than vegetable sausages! My boyfriend always opts for the royal slam.

This is a great place with all the English favorites. We had the full breakfast and bangers and mash and followed it up with a scone, jam and clotted cream. Great food and great service. We would have eaten dinner there as well if it had been open.

I have been away to Lincoln twice now, and both times made sure to have The Full Works at this gem of a place.

Called in for a coffee prior to an appointment in town and thought this place deserved a review. Nice and clean, decent coffee, reasonable prices and friendly staff. That's the way to get people to call in again.

We weren't sure they would be able to fit us in as there were six in our party: two 8 years old, their parents and grandparents. We all found several options which appealed to us from the extensive menu. Making a final choice was tricky, but we all ended up with something different and all of us were pleased with out choices and cleared our plates.

Unfortunately there were no sweet or savoury vegan options on the menu apart from the vegetarian breakfast which can be modified as advised by the pleasant and personable staff. We had an espresso and an Americano which were both okay. A bottle of Strathmore still spring water was served with the drinks, complimentary with the espresso, which was unexpected and a first for all the cafes I have visited.

We choose the gourmet breakfast, wow so much food for such a great price. Neither of us could finish it. Great coffee too. Definitely recommend giving this place a try

Me and my friend went here for a late breakfast in December. I had a bacon roll and my friend had mushroom and bacon in hers. We also shared some pancakes because we love our food

We have been here a few times previously but today was our last. We ordered our food which we went for roast dinners. They came out about 20min later. My lunch was warm but tasted awful my husbands was cold and had to be sent back. It arrived back after being nuked in the microwave. The food was so rubbery he couldn’t eat it. The young girl apologised. But I paid and left. Never to return. Shockingly bad.

Went here for the first time today and although breakfast was good, service was awful . Took ages to get served , requests met with a snapping waitress and food slammed on the table . Has certainly put me off going back .

Have been visiting here since it first opened, and popped in yesterday for breakfast ,which has always been delish, nicely presented and good produce ,hot and fresh. Sadly ,not so yesterday and it was noted. Promptly seen for service and breakfast arrived just as rapidly, about 5 minutes from placing order. Sadly bacon was cool, so too the mushrooms, and seemed stewed,and plate swamped with beans, when normally set out in a dish. Did comment on this and waitress asked if I wanted them warming up..... Paid once eaten and not a comment was made when I mentioned it . Standards not as usual and staff spent more time chatting about I'm a Celebrity show . Maybe same energy could be put into customer service response and genuine regret over complaint. Keep your eye on the ball Churchills!!!!!

Popped in with friends for a quick lunch. We ordered a variety of paninis/ciabattas that were average, also had chips that were undercooked. Service was excellent.

Friendly cheerful staff, lovely burger, clean premises, not expensive. Can recommend.we shall return.

We visited Churchill’s as part of our family holiday when visiting Lincoln. We ordered 3 BLT sandwiches and a club sandwich the food was freshly cooked to order hot when it arrived and it tasted amazing, it was a last minute lunch choice and it was so good would highly recommend. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Ignored while we waited to be served and when i questioned why the waitress claimed she didnt see us. Then changed her story to we were sat at a dirty table (which we wern't). When i asked for the manager she claimed she was so i said her customer service was disgusting. She immediately turned her back and started talking to another staff member. We left disgusted

Friendly staff with a nice atmosphere. Food was ok, good for the price but could have been better. But a lovely place to go for a catch up with friends.

Been here once before and once again, 8t didn't disappoint. They have a separate gluten free menu, and unlike many places, their gluten free option isn't just removing all the items with gluten in. They have gluten free sausages, and gluten free toast. Decent portions and my friend had a normal breakfast which was a very decent size. Very good prices, friendly service and a chilled out atmosphere. We sat outside in the sunshine and were seen to quickly. Will definitely come back again when I have a day off and need something decent for breakfast.

Came in for breakfast and was very impressed. There was plenty to choose from on the menu and when the food arrived it did not disappoint. Me and my boyfriend had different dishes but both were delicious.

lovely greeting who guided us to a table in the window. The menu and prices were really good. The breakfast choices were brilliant. The staff were very efficient and cheerful which was shown by the customers who were already there. We didnt have to wait long from when our choices were given to when the lovely hot breakfast arrived. Really good and will recommend. We will definitely come here again.

A full Churchill's breakfast is cooked to order so eggs are to your liking, beans served in a separate dish and the Lincolnshire sausages are delicious. Food is delicious.

Quite simply, the best breakfast you can get in lincoln, especially for the price. When walking In I was greeted by very friendly staff who showed me a table and served me ASAP. The service was great and of a high standard in my opinion, I have tried a numerous amount of different items to eat and they all tastes great and all of them at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Churchill’s if you are in town and are looking for something to eat for a good price.

Visited this restaurant for breakfast and we were really impressed. The restaurant is clean. When we visited there was only one member of staff on and despite being busy she was still friendly and sociable. We had two "superb" breakfasts and two teas £13.70. The breakfasts were really good and plenty of it. If I'm honest I should have had a smaller one. We did have to wait quite a while for our breakfast but rather that than it being pinged in the microwave. There is outside seating. We will definitely go back if visiting Lincoln again.

My partner and have been going to Churchill's over the last 2.5yrs usually go to Churchill for the all day breakfast or lunch, but it sounds like it may have been taken over, the food is the not the same like it used to be, the lady who used to work their when we come in was happy and chatty where as now they come to your table they may smile they take your order and then they would go with no sign of being friendly no chat to say hi or how's your day been. With the food It seems that now it doesn't have have any heart in to how's it cooked and served they don't care anymore, when we order the breakfast i like to be asked if i would like white or brown toast but it now you have white and nothing else they don't bother asking if you want brown instead so make please make change to how you take orders and give customers the option of white or brown toast and also if customers don't like a certain item on the breakfast plate let them swap it for something different not just tell them they have to have it because you can't swap it as it then looks like if they didn't want the egg or sausage and your not willing to swap it then you are then ripping customer as off by charging full price for a breakfast that is not fit for purpose for any customer so be fair. Now with the pricing i noticed that you used to charge for breakfast 8.95 for the same as now but then a couple of months ago you then reduced to 6.95 for the same now you are charging 7.95 please make your mind up what prices you are going to charge again this can be construed as ripping customers off for the same meal, final complaint you open till 5pm at a weekend so why do you stop people ordering food at 4pm this is ridiculous. i will be popping in over the next couple of weeks to see if things change and if not then you will lose me and my partner as customers and i hope other people read this and follow suit if not satisfied with service or food.

Nicely presented place with a good varied menu. The staff are friendly, helpful & attentive. Our meals were very good & the portions generous.

Went for lunch here and ordered bangers and mash for £5.99. The three Lincolnshire (chipolata) sausages came dry, clearly microwaved to the crisp, and the mash was very lumpy. I've had a full English here before which was great and I wish I had chosen this instead of the bangers and mash.

Visited recently with my wife. I had the turkey dinner which was very nice - good lean meat and nice selection of fresh vegetables - all served piping hot.

I'm giving it one star just because the system would not let me to give zero.I've ordered a burger,after asking if it was fresh made or frozen/bought in,and I was told fresh. When it arrived it looked terrible and tasted worst,so after two bits I've left it. The coleslaw looked like it was standing in that little pot for centuries.Couldn't even eat the chips as somebody's hair was in it. Sent it back and the manager still decided to charge me for what I didn't and couldn't eat. Even the waiter was embarrassed.

Great value and piping hot English breakfast, which is served all day. You can even “upgrade” with an extra five (yes, five) has browns on top of the two included! Excellent value for money and well cooked, if a little slow to arrive. Avoid Saturday around midday.

I wrote a review on here a couple of weeks ago and it seems like it has been deleted, which is a shame ,but in the light of what I said last time the owner of the establishment contacted me and apologised. I am happy that action was taken and that I have been offered to be compensated and given a £5 discount. This is exactly how it should have been handled the first time...

I walked in and the waitress said she'd serve me in a few minutes. There were no clean tables to sit at and a group of women who came in after me were served before me. I waited 20 minutes for someone to clean my table, and no one came. I was not served so I went somewhere else. Absolutely horrendous service when the people working there do not even know what customers they've got. If I went here again I would expect a free meal. I love Churches in Boston that has always been excellent food and service, so I was really unimpressed by this place.

Great location, nice ambience, good menu choice at sensible prices, friendly and welcoming service and, of course, another excellent meal...what more can you ask for?
