I feel this restaurant deserves a good review. We went to see a Saturday matinee performance of We Will Rock You and thought it would be simplest to eat at the theatre. We were a family party of seven. We were warmly greeted and two large jugs of water were immediately brought to the table, without prompting. Drinks were delivered quickly and our somewhat complicated order was efficiently taken, with good humour, and the freshly cooked food delivered in good time. The menu selection is small but we all found something we liked. The fish and chips were declared to be excellent, everyone enjoyed their burgers and my pasta dish with mushrooms, cream, asparagus, cheese and rocket was seriously good. Puddings went down well. The creme brulee looked so good, the waffles and icecream were much appreciated and the cheesecake was tasty. The service from two cheerful and so efficient waitresses could not be faulted. Thank you Bromley Theatre Restaurant.

We are here now and totally underwhelmed. We ordered a spiced rum and coke and americano with milk. We recieved a single rum and a cup of hot black water. There is almost no seating. I have sent my husband out to the Lidl to get supplies...... Hopefully Milton Jones will be better :)

The food was acceptable but at £20 for a two course meal its is a rip-off for what you get. Worse still is they rip you off if you want to have a desert They charge you for the most expensive starter or desert which eill always be the starter I didnt buy a starter as an extra but a desert I think what they are doing is illegal and im going to report the matter to trading standaerdsyou want you wiforfurtheroffffurther iyobuyBuy a desertbuy a desert Worst of all

Came for a meal before show. Starter was mushrooms on toast, I couldn’t cut the toast, the mushrooms were very cold and it came out less than 5 mins from ordering. The main was not much better. My advice is eat at a decent restaurant in Bromley then go to the theatre 🎭

Our show ticket included a 2 course dinner and what we were served was simply awful and almost spoilt our evening. The restaurant had taken an extremely large party booking for 30+ and the kitchen couldn't cope, they shouldn't have taken such a huge booking. We were shown to our table 1.5 hours before the show but the wait for food made us almost miss the beginning of the show. The atmosphere in the restaurant was awful, so may unhappy and stressed diners. Off a small and simple menu I ordered a starter and a main and my husband ordered a main and a dessert, After a very long wait both mains were served, the starter had been forgotten. My risotto was horrible nothing like the description on the menu and sent back, my husbands main was awful - very poor quality and thrown on the plate. As a replacement meal I only had time for a small portion of chips and my husband was told that dessert would be served in the interval, Dessert was served but again there was a problem with it, cold sticky toffee pudding with no ice cream - chef had given up and gone home.

Booked a table here before the thatre performance and was looking forward to a restaurant style meal. Very sparse menu. Ordered burger and chips after seeing it on the poster. What I received was nothing short of daylight robbery. A cooked burger - not home made - on an oversized bun and - literally - a handful of fried frozen chips covered in paprika or something like that. Given this meal was at a higher price than most restaurants in Bromley, it is little wonder that the restaurant was pretty empty. They have a guaranteed customer base but poor quality and little quantity and above average prices isn't going to fill the restaurant. Unfortunately, as a regular at this theatre, my husband and I will definitely not be returning.

We booked a table for two and we were late, but they didn't mind, which was good, it was just traffic problems that had made us late. We have used restaurants at two other theatre, one of which is in Kent and we were expecting similar but whilst the menu seemed OK, the setting was disappointing. You can see the cooking being done and it reminded us both of school dinners. The food was OK and so was the service, until my husband dropped his knife. The waitress came to pick it up and put it in the great pile of plates, cutlery etc. that were waiting to be washed. She didn't offer him another knife ................ I did let him use mine. In fact, I cut his food over the table for him but she still didn't offer him another knife. Overall disappointing and not something we will do on our next trip there.

We were going to watch a performance at the theatre, and wanted a meal before, so thought we would try the newly refurbished restaurant. We weren’t expecting much, as some reviews had complained of small portions/ lack of atmosphere etc. Nothing could be further from our experience. The two waitresses were friendly, attentive, and helpful. They were a real credit to the restaurant- almost all the diners arrived at the same time ( as we were all going to a performance), and yet between them, the waitress’s managed to get everyone seated, get their drinks, and take the orders, without any fuss, and still managed to smile and chat to everyone throughout. The food was delicious, and plentiful- although you can add on vegetable dishes if needed. Between us we had the salmon, roast chicken, and chicken and ham hock pie, and ordered a cauliflower cheese, because of the previous reviews- we didn’t need it! For dessert we had a citrus cheesecake and a mix of ice cream, ( I didn’t order anything, as I was too full from my main course!). Both said their desserts were delicious, and they did look lovely. I had a coffee, which ( for once), had sufficient milk brought with it! And even that was lovely. Plenty of time is reserved for you, before the start of the performance, and as you are already in the building, there’s not the normal constant clock-watching, then the mad dash to get to the theatre in time! All in all a great experience , and we all said we’d happily return.

We came as a party of 4 for a pre theatre dinner arriving over 2 hours ahead of the performance. The meal was mixed with some good dishes, but we had to send the Camembert starter back as not cooked enough, the French beans were undercooked, and the chicken dish was dry and lacking any flavour. Coffee was very weak. Despite allowing plenty of time we ran out of time for dessert although the waitress arranged this for the show interval. Our waitress was excellent and did her best but was let down by an inefficient kitchen. We received a 20% discount from our bill without asking which was appreciated. There are better places close to the theatre, so will not return.
