In the afternoon, stopped here for a toilet break & cuppa, would go back to try their yummy menu. the food looked delish :)

Visited the cafe on Sunday prior to kicking off a friendly club fishing match.Staff (the owners) were friendly,smiling and efficient at taking the order and serving. Beans were proper beans !..not some bland pale jobs that you get in some caffs...and the sausage was also decent and proper.It tasted like it should ! If the owners read this...don't loose sight of the quality of your ingredients, i believe it can make or break most breakfasts.Also a nicely stocked tackle shop in with the cafe.......good business sense ;-)

Done a nights fishing over Churchgate Lakes, ordered a Full breakfast "the Hungry Man" Egg, 2 bacon, sausage, chips beans and a fried slice, Delivered to my swim, piping hot & delicious after my days fishing I went into the café where the seating area was clean and the chef was polite and helpfufl!! Cant wait to fish again and have my next meal brought to my swim!! what a lovely touch

Service was way down on normal good levels. Greeted by a disinterested waitress who sent us to our table at the end of the restaurant with a wave of her hand and gave us menus to take with us. Didn’t take us there and left us to decide for ourselves. Long wait to order - not offered the prix-fixe menu. Given someone else’s bill at the end and only got served if we waylaid a passing member of staff. Given the wrong drinks. No check backs in our food. Not the service we usually expect at this venue

Colchester RoadWe sometimes stop here when we are about to go on our travels to get a decent coffee , the staff have been there for years and are really pleasant it’s not a sit down although there is a table you could stand at .

Chignal Road, Chignal Smealy, Chelmsford, Essex CM1 4SZWhat an amazing hidden gem of a restaurant this really is. Brendan was so friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food delicious and the service all the way through you could not fault at all. All staff so friendly. Thank you for making my friend’s birthday so special.
