Chunky in Test Valley

Delivery was on time. Chips and nuggets were great but unfortunately they got the order wrong on my kebab. After calling, they were very rude on the phone, questioned us and implied that we were lying about having recieved the wrong food, refused to bring the correct item, refused to give a refund due to closing soon. Very disappointed in the customer service here.

The food was absolutely fantastic. cooked to perfection.

Great food I don’t live too far from the shop anyway that mile and so they don’t take long to deliver anyway really good recommend it to anyone all the stuff I’ve had from them. I’ve been fantastic.

I use chunkies quite a lot. Food is always excellent while cooked taste great always comes in a very short time. I certainly could not complain about these and will continue to use them. Excellent service excellent food

Ordered fish and chips to be delivered nothings turned up at all I’ve been waiting and waiting. I have no transport so I can’t go and pick anything up. I looked on the app and it says ready for collection. I never ever asked for things to be collected because I blind and I can’t drive.

I would love to give them 5 ⭐️ delicious food ☺️great customer service (highly recommended)

The order went to the wrong address I spoke to the driver and said the food will be cold when he delivers to the right address that's the last I heard

I asked for salt for both fish and chips and no salt was added to either of them. I also ordered a large cod but what I received was far from large!

Modernised over the last couple of years, now ultra modern with a extensive menu. Food quality is excellent. You can also order online.

Nice fish and chips, batter could have been drained for a bit longer before going into the fat. It's not the best I have had, but it's still very nice.

An excellent meal lovely big piece of cod very lovely chips and a nice battered sausage Ing with a pea fritter very very nice very highly rated. In my opinion.

Waited 40 minutes after ordering, got home, everything cold except for fishcake, which is what the wait was for. Rest of order was packaged and left to get cold.

Order was incomplete, We ordered 3 cans of coke and only received 2 the food was all squashed and didn't look very appetising

Chips and onion rings were lovely. Chicken was a little dry and seemed like it had been cooked the day before/ just warmed up as it wasn't hot and not much fresh flavour. Would order again though

The fish and chips were nice enough, but the gluten-free fish that we ordered turned up with normal batter. The delivery rider also dropped left the bag on the porch and left without knocking the front door. Didn't realise it had arrived until a few minutes later.

Amazing! As a family we love the food from here, it always tastes very fresh and portion sizes are very generous. Staff are always friendly and very polite. I have also used Chunky Chips to cater for 3 separate community events, each event comprising of over 80 orders. I was so impressed with their efficiency. Each item was carefully labelled. Everyone commented on how good the food was and how it had remained hot. I would highly recommend them for larger orders (placed in advance). Thank you Gary, we are looking forward to our next event with you.

Think this place has gone downhill. Ordered a large portion last night for the kids got home unwrapped & i there wasnt even enough to fill 2 people up Also i ordered a burger with no mayo for my son. Got home the burger had mayo in it. Fortunatly my son doesnt have any allergies but others might ask for no mayo for that reason. Really really dissapointed. £15 for a supposed to be large chips,2 large battered saysages ; burger they got wrong.

Soggy chips and even soggier fish. Literally a puddle of oil was on the plate, after scraping the food off the paper. I thought was a one off but the 3 times we’ve tried this place it’s been awful. Lesson learnt and we will go elsewhere.

We wanted fish and chips for a large group as I had family visiting. We ordered on the web and collected 15mins later. The service was excellent, friendly and proficient. Food was ready for us to collect on time and was delicious !!! Thanks you.

It’s a bit hit n moss with food deliveries, often it can arrive like warm and with dishes like fish n chips can be soggy. This meal was really good this evening. The chips maybe could have been a bit more done but the fish was fabulous as was the pea fritter. Happy bunny, happy tummy and even happy cod eating cats! Thank you. A lovely delivery lady too. Wonderful smile!

Asked for no onion or ketchup on the hotdog, came smothered in it! Also put a complaint in on Just eat.

Ordered an apple tango and a dark berry tango was delivered, other than that good was good!

Ordered chicken tikka pitta and a portion of cod & chips. The service was quick which was great and the staff were friendly. The service staff were wearing face covers which was re assuring. The food was delicious, thoroughly recommend the chiken tikka!! Chips were cooked perfectly and will definately go there again.

Most disgusting chips I’ve ever had! Tasteless old green potatoes! No amount of salt could help these sad things! Omg the price I paid also for them. Stay clear! The old green crispy rubbish was hidden beneath big fat crispy rubbish. We binned the lot!

Totally wrong order delivered by the delivery driver!! Have made a complaint with customer service for a full refund as the order I received was totally inedible!! Delivery driver was unreachable by the restaurant & so there for I am left at home with the complete wrong order. Angry is an understatement!!

Expensive. Decent portion size for large chips which were tasty however the deluxe chicken burger was rubbish, nothing deluxe about it. Picture shows 2 burger pattys and we only got 1, the burger was also tepid warm. Waited over an hour for delivery too so overall wouldn't recommend.

Just ordered from Just eat, lunchtime cod and Chips, not that cheap, £8.99 I think and fish portion size was so small and didn't taste particularly fresh. Too many chips, which could have been cooked for a bit longer. Sorry but won't be returning

I know it was lunchtime special but the cod could have been bigger and less chips. Chips could have been cooked a bit long. Over all not brilliant. Won't be ordering from them again

Good quality food. Well cooked. Not the cheapest but you pay for what you get. All freshly cooked so you might have to wait 10 minutes but its well worth it.

Decided on last minute cheeky fish and chips. Best decision ever, freshly cooked cod and sausage in light crispy batter and perfect chips, not greasy. Perfect quantity, great all round really.

It's an average chippy. The food was ok.

We have had many of kebabs from here but tonight’s was full of grease and quite inedible sadly

£8:99 for 2 pieces of dried out burnt chicken chips and the special kebab swimming in so much grease it was inedible! Over £26 in total!! lesson learned, this was my last purchase from them

This is our 3rd order from Chunky and I couldn’t fault the first two orders Unfortunately this time it was like I ordered from different restaurant. There didn’t look like there were many chips in the containers because they had all been squashed up one end.They also looked really manky with a lot of green and black ones. The diner meat was all out of the pitta bread so had gone cold. I ordered some burger sauce and received a plastic cup of bbq sauce. All in all not very good will be sticking to Adore from now on

My 3rd order from Chunkys. You get more than plenty with generous portions & the best pea fritters I’ve ever seen. Sadly, todays food was greasy/sloppy & not a patch on my previous orders. A shame. That said, it’s decent food.

Great service 1st order from here and was very good .

Average, cook to order so the wait can be a few minutes. Added mayo without asking/telling, initially forgot to cook the nuggets too. All in all, average.

As before (cod, chips, pea fritter) the food was plentiful and perfectly cooked. LOVED the paper wrapping rather than poly boxes which I hate. This time I ordered “standard chips” which was still a hefty portion. Undoubtedly Chunky make the best fish n chips ever . JuT wish I could afford em every week (or even month!) thank you. Tuck in!
